I think this is extremely important to note:
I have three screenshots that will sum it all up in the eyes of law enforcement: the email stating the package was in transit, the email that I got minutes later that Mercari has canceled the transaction entirely, and the tracking information that proves the buyer actually accepted the delivery rather than being honest and refusing the package that we all know they didn't pay for and that right there strongly, if not irrefutably, suggests a clearly conscious decision of intent
