Every aspect of Michael & Son, from my phone call asking for service, to the actual visit by their repairmen, has been exemplary Today their technician, Matt S***, replaced my old, leaking hot water heater with a brand new one Last year, their technicians replaced my old furnace and air conditioner I am very pleased with their employees and the work that they perform I will use them again when and if needed

Michael & Son has provided us with their plumbing, electrical, heating & cooling services for a number of yearsWe are very satisfied with their quality and timelinessRecently, technician Carlos J*** serviced our heating systems for the winter months He introduced us to their new electrostatic furnace and heat pump systems permanent filter which eliminates ongoing replacement filter costs We had him install one for each heating system Very professional and knowledgeable technician

Although hoping for an easy solution to my plumbing problem, Troy Cwas able to thoroughly clarify what my problem was and options I had to deal with it He did an excellent job of keeping me informed on what he was doing throughout the job, and he was exceptionally courteous In the end I was, without question, satisfied with the workmanship and thankful that everything was handled in such a professional manner!

Polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and ON TIME!! Have never had a bad experience with Michael and Son ---- we even purchased the annual service contract option because we were so pleased with their work and trust them with our home maintenance needs!

I am rejecting this response because:
We are not completely squared away yet. The paper that Michael and Son's wanted me to sign contains language which I was advised could potentially invalidate the year warrenty for the water heater. It took time, but Vance S*** agreed to add an addendum to the document to clarify, so I signed the document and sent it in Thursday June 25th. Several times over the last couple weeks I have requested paperwork about what the warrenty covers, but I have not received it yet. I rdid eceive several frantic calls from multiple employees at Michael and Son's while on my way home from work telling me that someone was coming to my house and they wanted to make sure it was okay. No appointment was set up ahead of time and they didn't tell me why they wanted to come by or what the problem was. All they could tell me was it had something to do with a serial number. I told them I could not arrive home in time for that day, but would be in touch. I emailed Vance S*** about it, but have not heard back about why it is needed or what day they want to come. Due to submitting the papers on June 25th they said they won't be able to mail a check until July 3rd. I would like this claim to remain open until I have received the partial refund and we have settled why they need back into my house since everything has passed inspection now

I am rejecting this response because:
As I stated in the text of my 1/12/email to Vance S*** of Michael & Son (below), the objective of my complaint is NOT to have the issue resolved on my behalf. After being refused emergency service during a major emergency in my home, I have no intention of doing business with Michael & Son again. The purpose of my complaint is to alert the Revdex.com that hour emergency services that are being advertised are not being provided. This is purely an advertising matter. The company must have staff on call to provide the services that are being advertised. The objective of my complaint is to request that the Revdex.com work with Michael & Son to ensure that the company is staffed to provide the advertised 24 hour emergency services for future consumers. I am asking the Revdex.com to act in the protection of OTHER consumers. I seek no personal gain from this matter. I expressed this objective in my original complaint. Therefore, the company needs to advise the Revdex.com (not me) of the actions taken since my complaint to ensure that the company is sufficiently staffed to provided the hour emergency services that it advertises.

I provided a detailed account of my 1/11/experience on your company web site yesterday (copy attached for your reference). I also spent time explaining the situation to Malcolm yesterday when he called me. As I explained to Malcolm, the failure of your company to provide me with emergency services as advertised during an emergency that could have caused major damage to my home has destroyed my trust in your company. I will no longer do business with your company.
My objective in notifying your company (and the Revdex.com) of the situation is to bring attention to a problem that needs to be corrected if you plan to continue to advertise that you provide hour emergency services. You must have staff on call to provide the hour emergency services that you are advertising. During my emergency, I was told by two different Michael & Son employees that the company did not have anyone on call who could handle my emergency situation until Tuesday, 1/13. This is unacceptable.
I appreciate the attempts that your company is making now to understand my compliant, etc. However, the bottom line is that I had an emergency that could have caused major damage to my home and Michael & Son failed to provide emergency services to me as advertised. Thankfully, I was able to obtain emergency services from another plumbing service to quickly resolve the situation and prevent major damage to my home. However, being left in limbo by Michael & Son during an emergency is not something that I will overlook in order to continue to do business with your company.
I encourage your team to take the necessary steps to correct the operational flaws in the delivery of emergency services to prevent any other consumers from experiencing such rejection during an emergency.
