The initial sales pitch and what I agreed to was a 5% discount off my gas company"s ratesWhy would anyone agree to a rate that is much higher than what I was paying *** *** (not *** *** as was stated in the IGS response)?My last bill was at over $per ccf, not even the $stated in the responseIf IGS is raising rates or has customers paying three times what my local gas company is charging they should be informing customers of the rate fluctuationOtherwise it is fraudI worked with the Upstate NY Revdex.com for years and I know I have a legitimate complaintIf this is not handled to my reasonable satisfaction I will be forced to contact the Attorney General's office, public service commission and the media to alert other consumers that they may be overpaying and being scammed by IGS Energy

Please find attached the letter the Village of Minerva mailed, which detailed the enrollment of your account with IGS Energy after no affirmative opt out occurred by December 11th The utility confirmed the cancellation of your enrollment with IGS Energy effective December 16th

I never received the opt out letter # I called on Oct 30, and cancelled The notice from *** Gas I received in the mail dated mailed Oct 27, which is the first I knew about this states, I had until Nov to cancel! I called on Oct 30, and spent minutes on the phone and cancelled that day My rights were violated and I did not pick to be in the program If phone records and what employee I spoke to are needed, I have documents available

We’ve agreed to reimburse the difference paid to us versus what would have been paid to So *** had the unauthorized third party switch not occurredThis means the account will return to the lo*** utility for supply service as of June 15, Further the refund will rerate the account to the
utility’s rate, as if the switch to IGS Energy never occurred

I understand the law and I also understand the sneaky way IGS does business fact: I cancelled Fact: You denied my rights under the "Law" to cancel Now telling me it will be two months before the actual process complete How nice for IGS You are underhanded no good company Do not treat me like I do not know the law!

I was not told of the rate at the time I changed gas company's, the representative did not tell me the rate, he just said it was lower than what I was paying after looking at my gas bill which was of coarse falseThe paper work he gave me was very long and he assured me he had to move on to the next house and what he told me was in the paper work and to sign itIf you look on yelp you will see I am not the first nor the last person to be lied to be their representatives trying to hurry a sale and "just sign" the documentsI would never agree to a higher rate for the exact same product! That is just ridiculous and stupid and I am irritated that anyone would believe I did so without being given incorrect informationAlso, the rep said the gas was "natural" which is also not true

I am rejecting this response because: The business did not respond to the complaint, and instead, requested we contact them againWe have contacted them on many times and the course of action has not changed.

As a courtesy we reversed the associated late fee, bringing the account balance due and outstanding to $We are willing to work with the customer to bring that account into good standing and arrange a deferred payment planThe account will remain with the third party collection agency until the customer contacts us and arranges to make payment in full or sets up a deferred payment arrangement

We appreciate the opportunity to address this inquiryIGS Energy supply charges are included on the customer’s Nicor billWhen remittance is made, Nicor pays off their TDSP charges first and then sends the remaining funds to IGS Energy to apply towards the supply chargesIt appears that
partial payments were being remitted to Nicor, resulting in the $balance remaining due and outstanding to IGS EnergyAfter collection activity began, payment was remitted by the customer, via credit card, on June 8, This balance was what was needed to be paid in full, in order to prevent a disruption in serviceThe account was sent to third party collections, with *** *** for an unpaid supply service from the July 8, billAs a courtesy, we have recalled this from collectionsThanks, Jodi L*** Compliance Coordinator

There was only one bill from Nicor Gas with the past due amount of $and the payment toward that bill from Nicor Gas was withdrawn from my bank account by IGS Energy and the payment never reflected in the account as IGS Energy kept it the money to themselves and sent nothing to Nicor GasThere was no separate or additional bill from any other supplierI did not short pay it as they took the full amount from my bankThe money is due back to meIGS Energy need to refund this money as it was never theirs to keep; that is stealingThis is pure robbery of the poor
