I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Even though the manager at the store completely lied about when the furniture would be picked up and in fact did not notify the delivery company at all that an item needed to be picked up.  I received a call yesterday from a woman saying she was never informed this was a return.

To Whom This May Concern, I was out of the office when [redacted] had reached out to me for her incorrect mattress. It took me a couple of days to get back to her and figure out what went wrong with the redelivery, but I was able to handle her concerns and get the proper mattress in for her. We are still pending the arrival of the [redacted] mattress protector. We will be reaching out to her as soon as we have a firm arrival date for the protector. As a courtesy we will give the customer credit to our store in the amount they paid for the sectional so that they can select new furniture. When the new merchandise is delivered the remaining pieces of the sectional will be picked up

The merchandise is over a year old and therefore out of the manufacturer's warranty. The customer's merchandise is covered by their protection plan that they purchased which provides for replacement only of the piece is not repairable. The customer has accepted our offer of a perfect redelivery of her current set at a discounted price. Customer has also agreed to Ashley Furniture Home Stores picking set up for refund if the set does not come to her specifications.

I need a phone number and extention number to reach Ms.  D to discuss this matter in detail . I have attempted to reach her by calling repair center and have been told she is not there or not available. Please have her leave an accurate number where I may contact her to finalize this matter.

Good morning, Attached is a copy of the protection plan where it states that its the customer's responsibility to return their product to the nearest distribution center if out of our normal trading area of 75 miles. I spoke to MR. [redacted] and informed him that I can prorate the money that he paid...

for the protection plan and give back as a refund. that is the only thing we can do for the customer. we can not transfer a store credit to a store in Hawaii as the Ashley stores are individually owned.Thank you.

Good afternoon,      We see that the customer called a month after delivery, unfortunately we can not pick her furniture for a refund as we do not know if customer had bugs before furniture was delivered to her home. Value City Furniture does not have bed bug.
