The number provided by MovingHelp.com on their response to Revdex.com is the number of the mover who alerted me to this problemI called and he said he is no longer working for this company because he did several jobs for which he did not get paidThe person who asked me for the code which I should have supplied to the movers, ahead of the actual date of the move, called himself Tristan and his phone number is ###-###-####He is the person that MovingHelp.com put me in contact with from the startI also received the email (below) on Feb11, 2016, before the date I had moved, Feb15, These are the people who should be taking care of thisI have tried to contact Tristan and he has not responded to my calls since he took my money.Thank you,*** *** [email protected] To *** Feb at 6:PM Thank you for using MovingHelp.com *** *** *** **has been paid for ***.Please take a moment to complete a review of your *** ***A review takes less than seconds. OMG This HAS to be a SCAMI am taking time out from this move to post this review bc I am SOOO annoyed Called the movers ahead, being proactive, four times Left voice mails Never got a return call Went to the website, Movinghelp.com Went to the customer service, "chatted" with someone who DID NOT CARE They gave me the direct line to customer service I waited over min all the while being told to remember to go online to customer service I am stressed Normally, I check reviews before making a purchase and this time did not do it I can clearly see other very dissatisfied customers I AM A HATER OF MOVINGHELP.COM

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made
by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved
Regards,
*** ***

The business' response is ridiculousIn essence, they state that since they only operate a website, they bear no responsibility if a mover does a terrible job (or does anything else wrong, for that matter), and they will make no effort even to contact movers about legitimate complaintsIt would be one thing if they were not profiting from business conducted on the website, but they are, so this is outrageousApparently they think this complaint can be adressed, however, by simply stating that they "consider the matter resolved."
Here is a comparison that I think brings out how frustrating this is: Imagine that you (moving help) purchase an item on ***, and discover that it is defectiveYou leave negative feedback for the seller, and contact the seller requesting a partial refundUnfortunately, the seller refuses to respond to multiple requests, and when he ultimately does, he screams profanity at youSo, you contact *** and ask for helpBut, *** tells you that it is just a marketplace, that it has absolutely no responsibility for your problem, that it won't contact the seller, and that it "considers the matter resolved." Would you be satisfied with that, knowing that *** made money on the transaction? I'd think notI'm not asking moving help to reimburse my entire payment or anything remotely like thatI'm asking them to work with me to help me get a partial refund from the mover whose service was inadequateThey really can't even do that?

In response to Revdex.com complaint ID#: *** filed by S*** *** requesting communication and refund for damages caused by the Moving HelperOn 9/26/an order was submitted by *** *** through the MovingHelp.com marketplace in which he selected and defined the amount of
hours and crew size for services. At that time, Mr*** agreed to the terms & conditions for the corresponding transactions between him and the selected service provider. Included below is a section of the Payment for Services provision of the Agreement. Upon the completion of, and your satisfaction with, the Services, You agree that You will complete the transaction with the Moving Helper by presenting the Payment Code to the Moving Helper. You agree and acknowledge that Your presentation of the Payment Code to the Moving Helper is Your payment to the Moving Helper and Your authorization for the release of any and all authorized payments for the Services You agree that You are responsible for any and all payments owed to the Moving HelperYou agree that You are not entitled to a refund from Us for any Services that are completed in less time than that amount set forth in Your RequestAs stated in previous communications to Mr***, by presenting the Payment Code to the service provider he completed the transaction for services as defined in the order. I used *** to get some moving help from Movinghelp.comThey FAIL to say that your money will be taken regardless of when the job is doneThe website lies and says that the movers won't get paid until the move is completedThen why do they have to take out the money? Then I tried to contact the movers I hired and their number was no longer in service! Now, I can't get a real person to talk to me at Movinghelpers.com's 1-numberI tried chatting online with them and they did NOT respond to anythingI also e-mailed them and nothingNo explanationFor all I know, I'm out $180! If you want real help, trust a local businessIt may cost extra, but it'll be worth it!

I have cancelled the order and submitted a refund for the full amountI apologize for the miscommunication and any confusion the Moving Help agents may have caused

The reason I selected *** for this move was because I assumed that the movers were screened for quality and integrityThe mover specifically asked me for the code, and based on the interaction, he made me feel like he was checking it to confirm purchaseI was under the impression that the payment code was a receipt / proof of purchase and that the movers would work the hour time slot regardlessI'm not sure how else I could have handled thisI'm a woman that was moving alone confronted by two guys who are supposed to be professionalsI assumed that a professional, hired by a large, reputable company, would perform the services requested without ripping me off and abandoning meI was completely stuck with a truck full of items that were too heavy for me to moveAdditionally, I directly contacted the mover multiple times confirming what the work entailed and asking when they would come backNo responseMy husband called tooAgain, no responseSending his contact information doesn't helpWhat he did was intentionalHe knew he worked minutes and got paid for hours even though I needed their help for several more hoursWhy this is acceptable perplexes meWhat happened to integrity? From now on I will never trust a businessThe system to pay the movers has gaps and can be easily manipulatedAdditionally, when I called moving help.com when I was abandoned I would expect a replacement to be assigned to finish the jobInstead the only help that was offered was to contact the mover, which I had already done with no success multiple timesI plan to write numerous more reviews on this experience as I don't want others to go through what I didThis was one of the worst business experiences I have encountered in my life

Do not use MovingHelp.com for your moving needsI have moved twice over the past year and used movers from this siteI have had so many things broken because the movers just threw my stuff on the truckThese movers are not professional moversEach time, I noticed that it appears that the movers are friends who just happen to start a moving companyThese movers cannot possibly be vetted by MovingHelp.com and looks like anyone can call movinghelp.com and say add me to your movers listI had so many things broken and stolen because of incompetent movers from this siteIn addition, here are other things that have happened:
-One mover stole my Beats by Dre headphones which were pretty expensiveThis same mover also did not have a dolly and I ended up having to help them do an extensive amount of movingLast, the mover then said he moved everything but then I went to the truck after he left and saw that he had not moved everythingI had to move these items on my own (Moving Company: Polite and Careful in Durham/Chapel Hill, NC)
-One mover gave me the time he would arriveHe did not show up at the timeI called and texted him to determine his estimated time of arrival, the mover (Scott out of Rock Hill, SC with Top Flight Movers) got an attitude (because HE was late) and told me to do the job myself and hung up on meWhat type of mover does that but an incompetent and unprofessional one
-One mover placed my bed headboard on the truck whereas when you open the truck door, the headboard could have fell over on my headAnd multiple items broken
The hassle, things broken, etc of dealing with these movers are not worth itAgain, they are not reputable businesses and you are better off hiring a company like All My Sons or some other well known moving company

Included in this response is a link to the Moving Help terms and conditions in which you acknowledged at the time of booking:https://www.movinghelp.com/customer_service/terms.aspx?nav#terms"Dispute... with Moving Helper and Your Release/Waiver of Liability: Because we only operate a web site and do not provide any of the Services (as already explained above), We are not responsible for resolving any disputes between You and the Moving Helper regarding the Services or the Moving HelperYou agree that all of these types of disputes must be resolved between You and the Moving Helper. Furthermore, the Moving Help request and its acceptance and if applicable, any resulting provision of Services, are solely between You and the Moving HelperTherefore, when and where there are any claims, demands, liabilities, damages or losses incurred as a result of the same, You, your heirs, successors and assigns, do hereby waive and release Us (Our officers, directors, agents, parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies and employees) from any such claims, demands, liabilities, damages or losses." You acknowledge and agree that both You and the Moving Helper each have the right to pursue a claim against one another in a Court of competent jurisdiction or in another similar forum of dispute resolution."

We do understand Mr***'s frustration with the service provider, however we cannot force an independent company to pay the customer for damagesThe purpose of the Payment Code is to allow the Customer the ability to deny the Payment Code until an agreement can be reached
Having said that, we have emailed the service provider and requested that they contact the Customer, Mr***, regarding the damages and paymentIt is solely upon the Customer and the service provider to reach an agreementNow that we have assisted the Customer in contacting the service provider, Moving Help considers this matter resolved

A refund was processed on the date requested on May 28, to the Visa card ending in ***

Worst experience everBe aware of "helper" Bill (William) Hill (his emails: [email protected] and [email protected]) He is a scammer , sexual harasser and annoying nasty personI ordered moving help with movinghelp.comI paid for driving cents per mile and $for hours for uploadingThis person Bill Hill supposed to be my moving helper, he supposed to help me with uploading/moving my things, and driving rented truck to Settle from PortlandAfter I completed order, this person contacted me and asked to buy him ticket from Seattle back to PortlandWhich I didThen he said he can do un-loading in Settle and ask if I can pay him for this job cash, and I agreed because I was in hurry and need to find someone very fastThen nightmare startedBetween day this person contacted me and moving day he texted me bunch of annoying messages with his personal ad and asked to share on social media, then he started to flirt with me texting that he "nice and intelligent man"I did not like it and started to search other moving companiesBut it was too short notice, all companies were bookedSo, I decided to continue work with this personI bought him a ticket (non-refundabe) from Seattle to PortlandAnd he confirmed that I DONT NEED TO PAY ANYTHING OTHER THAN WE AGREEDThe eveing before moving I texted him with time and location confirmation. He never respondedNext morning I called him At first he did not pick up phone, then he pick up and said that I need to pay additional $per hour for driving (it was DAY OF MOVING!!!) I immediately contacted movinghelp.com customer service and asked if that is true that I need to pay anything except driving mileage, they said no, I dont need to pay extraI texted this person that I dont have to but he just never respond and disappearedHe totally planned to trick me, and eventually stood me up! Now I am planning to sue this person and company

*** ***,We apologize for any delay in receiving your refund When your order was canceled, the refund was applied to store credit rather than to your credit card I'm not sure why the agent did not cancel for a full refund, and we are investigating the matter.I've issued the refund
immediately through your movinghelp.com customer account You should see the credit within the next day or two.Again, I apologize that you were not issued a refund properly when you canceled your order if that is what you had requested.Thank you,*** ***MovingHelp.com
