Requesting refund of a $459.00 booking fee for a flight cancelled due to COVID-19.
On September 9, 2019 my wife and I booked round trip tickets from *** to *** (via ***) with MyFlightSearch.com. The email confirmation came from *** (telephone Booking Ref. No. ***). The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in our *** Airlines flight being cancelled. *** Airlines promptly refunded our two tickets $578.76 each. I reached out to *** and requested a full refund of the $459.00 booking fee they charged. On March 25, 2020 *** told me a refund would be issued in ten to fifteen days. Those fifteen days ended on Thursday, April 9, 2020. I have contacted both entities, demanding they honor their 3/25/20 promise of a full refund. Telephone call to *** are either never answered, resulted in hang ups, or were fruitless. (They acknowledged several times their intention to refund my $459.00, but based upon their actions I was not hopeful.)

This is the same FORM LETTER response I received from them over a week ago. I will not ACCEPT this response until the money has actually been refunded. Again, based upon telephone calls and emails with this business (the fact that I was promised on March 25th that a refund was on its way and should have been in my account a week and a half ago) I'm not holding my breath.

While I am somewhat pleased that they have responded to Revdex.com with a promise to refund my money (now it's officially on record) I know Revdex.com has no legal arm with which to hold them to their promise.

On Feb 29, I attempted to book 2 tickets from *** for my sister and myself on ***.
Apparently, this This My Flight Search intercepted this and booked 2 tickets and immediately withdrew the funds from my debit card account. I received a message stating this was my booking reference number and not my E ticket..
A few days went by and I tried calling to ask where my e tickets were, I was told to give it some time
After another week I called and told them that I had not gotten my e tickets so cancel my reservation and before I cancelled I asked the question would I get a refund.. I was told yes.
A week later no refund.Called again, no answer for about an hour.
I emailed MyFlight Search to ask when funds would be refunded to me and I got a generic answer of we acknowledge your email as checked this refund is under process. Please wait for some time...

I am complaining about MyFlightSearch.com they have stolen money for my account I called asked to speak to management they say there not available. And now the refuse to give my money back a total of 1883.58. And I read there reviews and they have done this to lots of people.

They need to be shut down or made clear they are fraudulent and horrible customer service and they have no idea when they'll have the money to tou they just keeping people money. Very sad

I charged a flight on credit card. Got no email confirmation or ticket. Refused to cancel or refund.
Purchased plane tickets through myflightsearch.com. Booking Reference No: ***. Date booked: Apr 11, 2020, 23:01 PST for May 14 and May 24 round trip flights. Charged my credit card for $117.20. Didn't get a email confirmation number or ticket. I call ***, and they said I would get it in about 30 minutes. No email. I call again next day, no email. I get suspicious. I *** reviews for the company and see many complaints. I call them to cancel the flights. They say can't cancel. I call them again at the same number (***) and tell them I still haven't received a confirmation number for the flight with reference number ***. They say they don't have that reference number. They say they are not the company that I purchased the tickets from that they are *** and that I have the wrong number. They said My Flight Search's number is ***. I call the number and no one answers. I call *** back and now no one answers.

This is not a legitimate business. These people are scamming others. Do whatever is within your power to prevent them from injuring more people.

I will accept their response when I see my $177.20 credited to my credit card account. As of 04/20/20 I haven't received it (no confirmation # or ticket either). They are promising that it will happen in about 10-14 days. I will be checking my credit card account regularly to see if they prove good on their word. They lied to me before, and this could just be another lie.

I have received the refund.

Online ticket at $108.40. No e-ticket issued. Instead $2,108.40 was taken from my account causing overdrafts. Promised refund every time I call.
Purchased a one way *** Airlines ticket on 03/15/20 at $108.40 from *** to *** # ***. Didn't receive an e-ticket to fly. So I did cancel the purchase with MyFlightSearch.com on the same day and bought an instant ticket at the airport kiosk to get to ***. Upon checking my account on 03/16, I noticed $2,108.40 has been withdrawn for the said transaction that never issued any ticket to me. When I called the agency I was told it was a system error and that the total amount has been returned into my account. It's been more than 3weeks, no refund. When I call, I am told that the money has been refunded but that is not true. This has caused several overdrafts in my account and hardship to me and my family. They keep me hours on the phone every time I called promising I complaint is on their priority list. I am a nurse and a single mother of two. This consumes my time that I don't have, the stress, the anxiety it causes me. I will appreciate if somebody look into this. I have the impression this is a scam because they keep on promising to refund my money but it is not done. Please I beg you, in God's name if I can be assisted in recovering my money. I like most ***s live on pay check to pay check. This has destabilize me and my family such that I don't know what to do. I did file a complaint with my bank for assistance but was told that I couldn't be helped because I choose to do business with the merchant.
On 03/16 I called my bank alerting them that that the transaction was unauthorized, I was told there was nothing they could do for me at this time. I work too hard to loss this time of money. I will appreciate every assistance to recover my money. Thanks in advance. ***.

I did receive an e-mail from MyFlightSearch.com. on 04/16 stating that my refund has been initiated with no specifics. This is what I have been told every time I talk to somebody from the agency but no refund is made. I didn't receive a copy of the response sent to Revdex.com from the merchant. I did file a complaint with my bank. Just check with my bank but was told that no response yet from the merchant. So no refund has been deposited into my account. I will update you as soon as I receive a refund, but for now I am still very anxious and destabilized because of the inconveniences caused. I am afraid this is a scam.

According to the last conversation with my bank as of today 04/28/20 there is no sign/trace of any refund from this agency in the about of $2,108.40. This is more than a month, the stress, the inconvenience, I just want my money refunded back to me, especially when I did not get the ticket I was trying to purchase. Instead inexplicable amount was taken out, to return it is almost impossible. I am behind with my bills because of this and it gets worse as time goes by. I am getting desperate. Please advice.

This company took $634 from my account to purchase flights on February 3, 2020. Looking back, it was our fault for booking with them. We received email confirmation that the flights were "booked". On March 6th, the day of our flight, we had not received our boarding passes and called the airline to check. They had no record. The company had not purchased our tickets and held onto our money indefinitely. When I called to complain, I was promptly emailed that we would receive a full refund in 10 days. Subsequently, It is April 14 and I called again to seek a refund and was informed "there was an error with the banking system and I would receive it in 30 days". When asked to talk to a manager I was disconnected 3 times. Needless to say, I reported the charges as fraudulent to my credit card. That seems like the only way to ever get our money back.

The summary of this complaint is My Flight Search refusing to refund the airline tickets even when the airline, *** directing them to do so.
To Whom It May Concern:
I have purchased 4 *** airline ticket flights on 21 July, 2020 through My Flight Search (Booking# ***, *** Conf# ***) travel agency and charged my credit card company, *** number *** the total charge ($3050.52). I have contacted them (21-23 July, 2019) to get my refund of the total charges as indicated below (during 100% refund time) but I never got response either when I called them or I have left them a voice
I have been disputing the below charges for quite some time with my credit card company, ***. I have been even told by the credit card company to contact the merchant, My Flight Search directly to get my refund. I have contacted them as of 1 April, 2020 and directed to send an e-mail along with the Primary Care Physician recommendation for all us not to travel outside of the United States due to our underlying chronic illnesses that will make us susceptible to COVID-19 disease that could fatally impact us if we contract it. I continuously contacted them up until 10 April, 2020.
My *** airline ticket flights has been cancelled (E-Ticket#s ***, ***, ***, and *** (***, ***, ***, and ***)) for the total amount including fees of ($737.63 x 4 + $25 x 4 = $3050.52) (which was paid through my *** last 4 digit of ***)) travelling overseas (Departing/leaving) on 20 May, 2020 (*** to *** to ***) and (Return/Arriving) on 18 June, 2020 (*** to *** to ***).

I received an e-mail and responded which is attached to this e-mail on 11 April, 2020 from *** that the *** airline flights are cancelled and if it not suitable for me to have a credit for the total charges ($3050.52) to let them know via e-mail which I did let them know buy responding to my e-mail which I have not received any response from them via phone or e-mail.

Then I called on 11 April, 2020 *** directly and they said that *** and *** have decided to give every passenger their money back even the tickets have bought from an travel agency.

I even did a 3-way the call to the my credit company, *** and *** so *** would inform my credit card company to what they have modified to their policy.

I called on 12 April, 2020 and talked to an agent, Roger at My Flight Search to inform them of what *** and *** has made modification to their policy. They said that they will only give me future credit towards the future ticket purchase. I told them that I don't accept it. I want full refund that I have paid a total charge ($3050.52). I tried to do a 3-way call between My Flight Search and *** but My Flight Search hung up. I called *** again and the representative (Megan) was very nice to stay on the phone to do a 3-way call until My Flight Search agent to respond to the call. My Flight Search continually came on the phone line and then they just keep putting me on hold. I stayed about 45 minutes on the 3-way phone call but no success so the *** representative left a message for My Flight Search system that all total charges ($3050.52) of the *** airline ticket flights are entitled to be refunded to me, ***. I also was instructed to send an updated e-mail to the previous e-mail to *** correspondence, ***.com that I, *** is entitled to the full refund of the total charges ($3050.52) which the travel agency, My Flight Search refuses refunding the total charges ($3050.52).

Please assist me in this action to get me the full refund of the total charges ($3050.52) from the travel agency My Flight Search.

I only will accept the response if I ONLY receive the action that the business (My Flight Search) will take which is to refund my account (*** account# ***).
I don't trust the response of the business (My Flight Search) because they have told me the same thing as they have responded to Revdex.com when I have contacted them directly several times in the past while waiting for their managers to contact me to process the refunds of transactions charged on 21 July, 2019 in the amount of $3050.52.

Regarding two cancelled booking numbers: ***, *** with unauthorized charge of $1,000.00 added to each agent fee, still not refunded w/3 request.
This is a followup to two phone calls regarding the two booking numbers:
*** (canceled on 3/15)
*** (canceled on 3/15)

These two "agent fees" were charged to my debit card without my authorization. Both had an additional $1,000.00 added to the "agent fee" amount. These amounts were supposed to be $188.40 and $313.21 on the 3/14 for two *** Airline tickets but I cancelled them on 3/15 to rebook with MyFlightSearch on different dates. I received an email showing that these bookings were cancelled. I never received ANY "agent fee" refunds for these cancelled bookings:
#*** (canceled on 3/15): $1,188.40
#*** (canceled on 3/15): $1,313.21

According to the customer service representative at MyFlightSearch.com, a "computer glitch" caused an additional digit to be added to the front of the "agent fee" charge. He assured me that the fees of $1,313.21 and $1,188.40 will be refunded to my debit card within 7-10 days but would request that the refund occur sooner.

I called customer service (833-200-3343) again on April 3rd because my bank account did not show the reverse of charges to my debit card, and was informed by the agent again that I will receive my refund as stated previously but not until 4/8/2020 or 4/9/2020. I asked that an email be sent to my email address stating this. He said one was already sent in the past, but I assured him that none had been sent. He agreed to request an confirmation of cancellation of the two bookings in question to be emailed to me. He added that this will take 15 minutes for me receive this email.

The representative "PROMISED" that I would receive an email within 15 MINUTES stating that the funds for booking #*** for 1,188.40 and booking #*** for 1,313.21 will be refunded. I DID NOT RECEIVE THE EMAIL OR FUNDS as of 4/9/2020.

I sent an email to [email protected] to "Please reply to my email CONFIRMING that the above-referenced funds are being returned to my account immediately, otherwise, I will have to assume that your agent that collected these UNAUTHORIZED "agent fees" is a crook and MyFlightSearch is a scam company that needs to be reported to authorities."

According to my bank, *** Credit Union, ***, they sent a fax to MyFlightSearch.com on 3/25/2020 but received no response from them.

I have not gotten anything from MyFlightSearch.com, therefore, I am reporting them here today, 4/10/2020 for their fraudulent charges.

Desired Outcome

I request that MyFlightSearch refund the total charges for bookings #*** for 1,188.40 and #*** for 1,313.21 immediately at 100%.

Possibly you can explain to me why then I have received a number of emails from your company saying that I will receive a refund in a number of days, and each email states a new date or period of time. I have NOT yet received the refund according to my bank. The most recent email from your company was YESTERDAY 4/22/2020 stating, "We have initiated the refund in the amount of $ 2501.61( $1188.40+ $1313.21). this will take 21 to 28 business day to reflect in your account."
Phone calls to your customer service department pulled the same stunt; they stated what day to expect the refunds by and NO refund showed up.
I have attached to this site's reviewers the new email received yesterday.

19.02.20 I purchased from MyFlightSearch 2 tickets. because I wanted to cancel one, I called them in same day ,they say they can do .

In the same day I decided to cancel one so, I called them ;
they say they can't cancel only one of them, ,they can do it if will cancel both tickets firsty ,and purchase only one I needed.
After, as they said, they will fully refund previous 2 tickets .
So, they canceled those 2 tickets and I paid with my Debit card for one ticket which I needed again.
They promised , the refund will be in 3-10 business days..
Since that time I call them every week ,everyone of the representatives keep saying differently:
one says:"it is in process", next: "it is already sent", another:"i do it right now"..

It is very alarming that the Company MyFlightSearch is promising me a refund through a cheque instead of depositing it directly to my bank.

By making this promise, It is more than possible that the company will not end up sending us the refund and instead claim that the cheque has gotten lost, to make this process more complicated in hopes of getting away with it. We paid through a debit card, so they should send us our refund back to our debit card. Considering that this company has been making many false promises to us almost every week for two months, it is very likely that they will take this as an opportunity to make a false promise again. I need them to deposit my refund directly to my bank. I do not agree with them sending me a refund through cheque.

First of all, we did not agree to receiving a cheque. It is not possible that they could not process a refund through a system, as it was my paying method. Second of all, it's been 10 business days since they've made this claim and there is no cheque. To whom it may concern at MyFlightSearch: you are making a false claim again, I'm aware of it. There is no cheque, just as I have initially predicted. You have not issued one, and I need the refund on my debit card. and don't bother claiming that it's gotten lost as I have predicted you would be claiming. I made a response the same day I got your response. I have stated that I need my refund through the system. It has been almost 3 months since we were supposed to receive our refund. You and I both know your system works. Now stop with the false claims and sent us our refund through the system. This is a large amount of money and I hope you know that this case won't be done until we get the refund that you keep telling us you'll send.

They did finally fix the ticket issue and booked my mother inlaws flight I did see that they got the new flight booked for almost half of what I payed themi geuss that is how it goes at least we finally got a flight booked even though they shpuld refund me the remaining money.

In January between the 23rd and the 25th I purchased a plane ticket for my husband through myflightsearch.com, when it was time for my husband to board his eTicket was not at the airport. The booking number was ***, I called the company and they issued me a full refund. They also sent me a confirmation email saying they were issuing A full refund. That was on January 29, 2020. I began calling their customer service at the end of February. They told me that it would be there in 7 to 10 business days. That brought us into March I called again in March and they told me that it was already sent to my bank. I called my bank and my bank said no they haven't gotten anything from that company. I called them back and was on hold for over an hour Only to be hung up on. I've sent emails and they sent me an email saying that they sent my case to their refund department. I just called them again today and was on hold for 45 minutes and the guy came back on and said my refund will be in my account in 7 to 10 business days. It is now the middle of April it's been four months almost.

Desired Outcome

I just want my money back. The customer should not have to wait for months to get their money for services not even rendered. When you purchase or request services and things the companies take the money out right away why is it taking them so long to get it back to us when they don't fulfill their end of the deal.

I attempted to purchase a $48.39 airline ticket from myflightsearch.com. They charged my credit card $1148.39 and never sent any ticket.
On Jan. 25, 2020 I got on line to purchase a ticket from *** to ***. I plugged in my *** card number as usual. The amount was $48.39. I immediately got a receipt emailed to be for that price ($48.39) along with a booking number ***.
When the tickets didn't come via email by the next day, I called them up. They said the tickets would be emailed between 15 and 48 hrs. After the next day, I became suspicious and looked at my *** account and saw that they charged me $1148.39.
From then on, all calls ended up with me being on indefinite hold, being hung up on, or me being told that their server is down and they cant help. I contested the charge with *** 3 days later on Jan 28, but *** had already paid them. I even got an email from myflightsearch on 3/4/20 in broken English saying "We apologies! Your refund on its way". Of course that never came. At this point I am afraid to call or write to them in fear of being robbed again. After seeing all of the people on line who were ripped off like me, I can't understand at all how they are still in business and their CEO is not in jail.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be refunded the $1148.39 that was stolen. I have been fretting and calling people for over 2 months. In a fair world, they should pay me an extra $1000. I would also like to see them shut down. I am sure they are robbing someone this minute.

I have received similar responses from myflightsearch for several months now. They even have the same broken English. Until the money is back in my account I will not hit the yes button. This predatory company thrives on sending false promises as these so the overall process gets delayed, recycled, lost in the system, or the victim just gets tired and gives up. After counting the number of people who have been scammed as I have, the CEO of myflightsearch needs to pay damages or go to jail.

After slightly more than 3 months "myflightsearch" has finally returned the $1148 that they "mistakenly" took from me. It only took 1 Revdex.com complaint and about 10 emails and phone calls to my credit card company.

This company is complete fraud. I went to cancel my flight from *** through MyFlight Search and *** said it was book and charged.
I purchased a ticket from MyFlightSearch on March 15, 2020. Booking # ***.

I thought I better cancel with all this Covid -19. I called MyFlightSearch
Acctual number on booking confirmation is ***.
I was on hold for over an hour then hung up on. I called *** and they said it was booked, charged but never ticketed. Confirmation # ***.
They told me to call *** which is the number on bank statement and not a real number. II then called *** again and spoke to a Derek ***.
He said let me look into it and had me on hold for 30 minutes. At which I went on line and saw that this is what this company does and they will say they will refund but never do. He sends me a confirmation refund statement that not only had wrong amount but, then says it is an automated email. This company or people committing this fraud need to be stopped. I would of showed up for my flight in July and taken days NON paid off to not even have a flight. My flight cost 111.08. Please get me my money back. Thank you

I don't believe that they will credit my account. I have original Cancel email saying it will be credited on April 8th 2020. It also had the wrong amount to be credited. If they were going to be credible I would of received it already. I feel if I had accepted and you close the case I would then have to open a new one up in 10 to 15 days from no funds received.

Late yesterday they did finally send me the airline voucher information credit, to be used by April 14th, 2021, with no change fees for re-booking. Unfortunately, as ***, has now again laid off another 8000 workers, a cash refund is not available, which under the circumstances is understandable......I would hate to see the Airlines dissolved.

Prompt corrective action was taken when my name was mis-spelled on my flight tickets. They connected with the airlines and ensured I boarded the flight.

The company charged our credit card for the flight ($150). Then a second charge for services ($60) then a third unauthorized charge for $2400.00.
Two tickets purchased through Myflightsearch.com on March 1, 2020. The first flight booked was flight number *** for two tickets costing $96.80. The date was wrong so I called to cancel the flight and reserve a new one for the correct dates. I called to do so and was informed the original had been cancelled and the new flight was booked. The rep informed me I would be receiving an email to confirm the purchase. The new booking number ref number *** for $210.00 charged to *** ending in *** on March 1, 2020. In the notes of the email it does state that there could be multiple transactions equaling the total above. On the March 2nd we received an email stating we had been mischarged but gave no info as for what or how much There were two transactions. One for $150 and another for $60 and then a third for over $2400. We emailed on the 2nd and received an automated response stating to "wait some time". We received an email on the 4th stating the refund was being processed for $2,196.80. That was still not the full amount we were over charged. I called and spoke to a rep and they informed me it had now been processed and would take 12-15 business days. The date is not April 8th and our bank shows no pending refunds to be processed.

Desired Outcome

I would like for the full amount of $2400 to be refunded. If not that then at least the $2196.80 they promised was being processed over a month ago.

In late Nov 2019 *** reimbursed My Flight Search for a cancelled flight. My Flight Search acknowledged receiving the money and said that we were owed the $. Since then, customer complaint employees have consistently lied to me - giving me dates when the money would be refunded incl within 10 days and even "tomorrow".There is no issue about MFS acknowledging the debt but rather the lack of payment. We are a couple in our mid/late eighties and the money is vital! Is MFS a reputable company? I get emails several times a week advertising their specials. I count on your help and thank you - big time - in advance!

For five months I tried to recover the money due me without success. The customer service department lied to me over and over. In two weeks (less?) you were successful. My very big thanks to the employee/s who handled it for me. Unfortunately, they had the use of my money while I paid interest on it. I wish I could warn others not to interact with My Flight Search. Again, my sincere thanks to the Revdex.com and its staff.

After cancelling our flight due to coronavirus company issued an email stating our refund of $285.60 is being processed on March 11, 2020. No refund!
We booked a flight with MyFlightSearch on February 15, 2020, from *** to ***, ***. When I followed up two weeks later we were told they were still processing our booking with *** Airlines. When I spoke with *** on March 1, 2020, they communicated that we did not have any reservation. I called MyFlightSearch and after long holds (30 minutes +) I was told that it would be booked in the next few days and check back with them if it had not been done.

When I called MyFlightSearch again on March 7th I was told to give it a few more days. After still not finding the reservation we called MyFlightSearch on March 11, 2020, to cancel our reservation with them. We were told that it would be refunded and received an email (attached) stating that our $285.60 would be credited to us.

After multiple phone calls and long hold periods of thirty plus minutes I was told by the MyFlightSearch agent that it would be refunded in nine business days. Every time I call and am successful in reaching a MyFlightSearch agent I am put on hold and told the same story that my refund will be credited in the next 7-9 business days.

As of today, April 5th, 2020, we still have not received our refund and I am not able to get through their phone lines (was on hold for over 50 minutes and it dropped me).

Attached is my *** charge of $285.60 on February 15, 2020, for your review.

In researching MyFlightSearch they have numerous complaints of not refunding their customers which I wished I had read before doing business with them.

Can you assist us in getting our refund which they promised in writing (email) for a service that was never provided?

The credit appeared on my credit card statement this week.

Flight Search, Inc. has not refunded money for a flight that was never booked.
On 03/12/2020, my wife attempted to purchase two round-trip tickets for her sister and niece from ***, *** to ***, *** using Flight Search Inc. The booking ID for that flight was *** for the cost of $537.14. However, no tickets were issued due to incorrect billing information. On 03/15/2020 my wife tried to purchase two round-trip tickets again for her sister and niece from ***, *** to ***, ***. The booking ID for that flight was *** for the cost of $856.80. However, that flight was also not issued due to the input of incorrect billing information again. No tickets were issued for either of these bookings. However, on 03/16/2020 two charges were taken out of our bank account. The first charge was for $537.14 and the second was for $2,856.80. My wife called the Flight Search Inc. customer service on 03/16/2020 and was told that both charges would be refunded within 7-10 business days. When my wife asked why we were over charged $2,000 for the second flight, the representative said he did not know, but that both the $537.14 and the $2,856.80 would be fully refunded within 7-10 business days. On 03/26/2020 My wife called Flight Search Inc. customer service and left a voicemail because they did not answer. On 03/30/2020 My wife called Flight Search Inc. costumer service three times and left a voicemail because they did not answer. My wife also emailed Flight Search Inc. costumer service on 03/30/2020. Yet, Flight Search Inc. never responded to any of my wife's inquiries. My wife's sister did eventually get through to a customer service representative, Alan ***, on 03/30/2020 and he said that the company was taking longer to issue refunds because of COVID-19, but the refund would be issued within 2 business. As of 04/03/2020, no representative has returned our calls, emails, nor have they issued a refund for either of the charges.

We are seeking to be fully refunded the money for both of the incomplete flight bookings for the charges of $537.14 and $2,856.80.
