Thank you for bringing this matter to our
attention.
Ms. [redacted]’s business received a membership
card in the mail, not a credit card. The card specifically states that it
is a ‘membership card, not a credit card.’  The package is designed to
gain interest in our financing services, and is a commonly used format in the
financial services industry.  [redacted]’s
business was prequalified for our membership card based on the business
information provided to us by Dun and Bradstreet.   To activate the
account, additional information would have been required from [redacted] Haus.
We also check additional business sources, such as the Secretary of State. We
apologize for any concerns that our marketing piece may have caused Ms. [redacted]
and we appreciate the opportunity to address them. We will ensure [redacted] and [redacted] House are removed from our system.
Thank you

Ms. [redacted] received a membership card in the
mail, not a credit card.  As the complaint suggests, mailing of
unsolicited credit and debit cards is an illegal practice.  National
Funding has never sent such an offer.  While there are design similarities,
the differences between what we mail and a credit card are significant:
The National Funding marketing piece contains no association logo (Visa,
Mastercard, etc.), and there is neither a magnetic strip nor a signature strip
on the back of this card.  Furthermore, the card specifically states that
it is a ‘membership card, not a credit card.’  The package is designed to
gain interest in our financing services, and is a commonly used format in the
financial services industry.
Ahleen’s business was prequalified for our
membership card based on the business information provided to us by Dun and

We apologize for any concerns that our

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I do want to note that prior advertisements from other companies with the same concept do not have a embossed numbers nor do they generally have an activation numbers.  Since the card was clued to the paper I did not notice a non magnetic strip.  I think the company went over board with the concept.
Normally these types of cards are cardboard as well so that there is no confusion as to what they are.
That being said removing me is acceptable.
Thanks

Again You sent out pre-approved notices and that was the reason for the communication you miss lead me and the general public and for that reason you have violated my credit and were not justified in your actions. I see this as going nowhere because your company onloy cares about their self and not the customer which I would now never except a loan from your company do to this heinous behavior.

Good Morning,
I have received the response from the customer. The attached invoice does not make this a rent to own agreement. This bill is the customers first bill for interim rent. The last few sentences of section one of the agreement explains that there is an interim period equal to 1/30th of the monthly payment multiplied by the number of days lapsing between the date on which the payment is made to the supplier and the agreed upon first payment date.  Our funds were released on 4/28/14 and the agreement was commenced 5/15/14 which means the customer owes a prorated amount for that time period.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Their response is complete and utter bt. If they send an original mailing in April with an annotation "Respond by June 30th", why on earth would they pre-print additional mailings prior to the expiry of their original notice period? And nothing in their response addresses the basic complaint that their solicitation does not conform to accepted industry practices. Serious and professional financial services companies do not send out scattergun mailings, based solely on the database of a State's business registry. In my particular case they offered a loan of $250,000 without having the least idea of what I actually do, and what my capital requirements may be. I am a passenger ship captain. I drive the damn thing. I don't wish to buy it, or charter it! My capital needs run to a bit of office equipment, and the occasional professional subscription. They could knock three zeroes off their loan offer, and probably still cover my annual needs.
For the record, I will continue to reject their responses, until they assert that they will change their business practices, and stop these ludicrous mass mailings.
Further, I have now been advised by my wife that I have received a second unsolicited mailing from them. As promised in our last exchange, I shall now lodge complaints with the California Department of Business Oversight, and the Florida State Attorney General. As I am presently trundling between West Timor and Australia, this will happen when I return home.

Their statement is a lie. They told me my short time in business, (6months), was a dis-qualifier, in addition to our revenue.  so basically they are saying the only thing they (pre qualified ) me on is that I own a business. What kind of Pre Qualified schedule is this?  And I want nothing from them.  I wouldn't take their money if they offered it.   They are engaging in false advertising and lying to potential customers.  They need to rewrite their adds to contain only honest information, like, We would like the opportunity to SEE if you qualify.

Please note:  I have contacted [redacted] regarding this matter on two occasions.  [redacted] deny that they provided the information to National Funding.  [redacted] did not have the address used in this solicitation.  The Secretary of State of [redacted] has a different address for my business.  Being removed from the National Funding mailing list is the right thing to do. However, minimal research has proven that National Funding is not being quite honest regarding the source of their information.

The marketing piece Mr. [redacted] received in
the mail is not a pre-approved line of credit, but rather a membership card
listing a reference number in order to locate his file in our system. Pacific
Sunscapes was Pre-Qualified based on the information we receive from [redacted]. In order to activate this account, additional information would
have been necessary from [redacted].

They did not advise that a another credit check was needed.  They acted as if they were only going to have one of their as they call it "sister" company fund the loan instead of them.  I found out after the fact that that it was another credit process that was needed. I have emails to support my claim.
I want that inquiry removed from my credit file as it was not done with my approval.  I can send you the emails showing the communications I had with the rep.

Mr. [redacted] and [redacted] Construction have been
removed from our marketing lists and a letter has been sent out today (December
16, 2014). Total removal may take 60-90 days, and after this time Mr. [redacted]
will not receive any more mail. We would also like to assure Mr. [redacted] that no credit line has been opened in his name, as our mail piece is simply a membership card with no magnetic strip or signature strip on the back. To activate the account, additional information would have been required from [redacted] Construction. We obtain our business information from [redacted] and check additional sources, such as the Secretary of State.

Good Morning,I have gone through Mr. [redacted]s account. When reviewing all of the information that was submitted to approve the transaction there was a couple questions regarding information that was contained in the bank statements provided. As a quality control measure the next step in our process...

is to request the login and password to upload the bank statements directly from the bank to verify the information provided. When we request this information we always recommend to the customer to change the password after we have uploaded the statements to insure that they are the only ones that have further access after the permitted time.We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause but again as a quality control measure this is the next step that we must take to insure that we have all accurate information when making an extension of credit. Please let me know if there is any additional information that we can provide. Thank youNational Funding.
