When Nationwide unceremoniously dumped me over a holiday weekend, cancelled my insurance and were unreachable by any means for DAYS!!!!!, National General stepped in with kind, courteous service and CHEAPER insuranceI hope the CEO of Nationwide is visited by Karma often and harshly

Sales person Keisha [redacted] and others was very courtesy and helpful as far as taking the time to explain in detailsSo far I like this policy

My vehicle was hit by my aunt on 7/06/and claim was finally filed 7/15/with National General InsuranceCourtney D [redacted] has been "handling" my case and she is not helpful in gettin my car in the shopShe is rude and is not doing her jobShe says she will keep me in contact and let me know but I always have to call herShe has never called except for the first timeShe did not follow up with the body shop the first week she said she wouldI never heard anything for that full week which was Monday, 7/when we spokeThen I called back 7/because I hadn't heard anythingIt took me all day to get in contact with herI had to call the main line and get transferred over to her which took around minutesShe told me she didn't have the information she needed and blamed it on the body shopThey were not aware it didn't go throughIt took her over a week to discover this and only because I was persistentAt that point, she said she would let me know somethingI expressed

I filed a vehicle insurance claim for vandalism to my car Someone burglarized my car and broke the front passenger window I talked to the claims representative assigned to my claim ( [redacted] ) on the phone on Sep6, and am concerned that my claim will not be settled in good faith The rep spoke down to me in an unprofessional manner and was rude When I told her that I left my car at the auto shop, the rep then said "Who told you to take the car to the auto shop" and "I don't understand why you would take it to the auto shop before we authorize it"I found this way of talking to be unprofessional and it was not appreciated The rep also cut me off several times and talked over me when I was explaining that talking down to me was not appreciatedShe cut me off to accuse me of yelling and getting angry I did raise my voice but was not yelling or being impossible to speak with We were able to complete the call and I believe she collected the information she called abo

My experience with National General was very positiveThey were very friendly, helpful and courteousThey gave me an unexpectedly low rateI would definitely recommend them to everyone

They literally harassed me to just get a quote and then when I finally answered the call and took the time to get a quote, the guy lied about the planThen when I called to find out a bit more about it (because it sounded too good to be true) they told me the complete opposite It's been days since I signed up, and they wouldn't refund my money So I pretty much paid them for absolutely no reason

A dealer sold my previous travel trailer for me. I hadn't heard from the dealer regarding the sale. I got nervous because I felt someone else may be driving around with my travel trailer and realized I better call National General to cancel my insurance. I was so happy when the representative got me and the dealer on a three way call and we all three talked. I had previously called the dealer and wasn't getting anywhere It had been three weeks since it sold. After our conversation, It was all closed out pretty quickly. I purchased another travel trailer as I have been looking for a new one for about a year now. I went back to National General for insurance on the new trailer. I am getting a great rate and the customer service is always top notch! I feel grateful. Thank you National General!

Very helpful and great service

I got in a car accident a month ago and the guy whom took pictures assured me that is was impossible for the accident to be my fault and if I'm found at fault that N.G would kick it back to the other insurance companyI told him I'm still waiting after a week to find out whose fault it is within two days I had a check to fix my car with no explanation on why and if it was my fault, the whole thing right off the bat seemed very sketchy to me as if they never even contacted the other person's insurance to dispute it, the other party at that point was still waiting for a translator according to themNow they will not answer any phone calls or emails to try and help meI also stated on a recoded line that if I was found at fault at all that I did not want to make a claim to fix her damages and let it alone with me, but they seemed to pushy in giving me the money and when I finally heard back the claim adjusters choice of words are "we decided to blame you"? I'm paying you to help and stick up for me and that's how you handle it and word it? awful service and the check they gave me to fix it isn't nearly enough I tried taking it to a few places to get it fixed and the auto body shops pretty much laughed me out with the amount they gave me

Adjusters speak to women very condescendinglyTreated me like I knew nothing and got upset when I asked questionsQuick to dismiss my concernsI was not their insured and they were responsible to fix my car but didn’t care about any of my concernsMade me do all the calling around, driving around and getting informationThey were so rude and discretion the phoneForced me to get off work to go find my car instead of helping schedule logistics around my scheduleRemember the accident wasn’t my fault

Great Service!!!

Was in an accident with someone insured by National General (they were at fault in the accident) National General handled the claim quickly and fairly After the claim, I got my own quote through them and actually just switched my own insurance to them and have been very happy so far
I didn't realize it, but this is GMAC insurance, just with a new name
