When we receive an inbound call positive identification is required in order to avoid 3rd party disclosure. This is not uncommon and is practiced by any company dealing with accounts where payments are taken and/or personal credit is affected. Personally I have never been able to call Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, or any other such company without confirming my identity in this way. I can understand Ms [redacted]s hesitation given her inability to locate our company on Revdex.com and the gross lies about our company on certain forums. Nationwide Debt Management Solutions LLC is located in Sacramento California. It is owned and staffed by honest hard working Americans and has no ties to overseas entities or persons. Ms [redacted]s has conversed with Mr [redacted] our Vice President of Collection Operations numerous times already inquiring about the verification of Employment request sent to her former employer. unfortnately we are at the mercy of the information provided by the original creditor and this is sometimes out dated. This is why we verify employment I welcome Ms [redacted]s to call in to our toll free number any time between 7am and 6 pm pacific standard time and speak to Mr [redacted]. I have assigned the account to him for the duration of this exchange and he is well equipped to dissolve any concerns and negotiate resolution of Ms [redacted]'s account.

Review: Nationwide Debt Management Solutions has been contacting me at work regarding an old debt owed on a credit account. I do not have the money to pay this and am in the process of looking into filing bankruptcy. I have conveyed this to the agent calling and I am then told I am saying that I am "a theif" and I am "stealing the merchandise." The person, who gives me no name but identifies himself as a manager talks over me, yelled at me, said I am refusing to pay and more. I have asked twice now not to be contacted at work, to contact me at home, but he will not listen. Does not ask for my home contact, simply states that he will document my refusal and pursue my employer. I am on state assistance for child care, health care, and food stamps. I am not able to pay this. It is not a matter of me being rude it is a matter of an inability to pay which is why I am looking into bankruptcy, which I have also told the agent or "manager." I have asked for correspondance in writing. Asked to contact me at home. Told them I can not receive these calls at work. Yet, the calls and harassement continue, as does the name calling and threats on each call.Desired Settlement: I am asking that the company respect my request not to contact me at work and to make all future correspondance in writing. I would like the harassment and threatening calls to stop. It is not legal for them to continue this type of behavior and I simply want it to stop.

Review: Purchased a laptop from Toshiba Direct in April 201l and financed, interest free. When purchased they agreed to set the monthly due date for the 10th because I got paid once a month on the 1st. They never did that and a couple of months later said they couldn't. The first billing came and went without any invoice being received and so they posted a late charge against the acct. I called to say that the late charge should not be billed since I had not received an invoice when the first bill cycle passed. They refused to remove the late charge and so after months of haggling over this late fee I filed a formal dispute of the charges with Toshiba Direct, I paid them the full amount of the principal balance due and from that day forth they have added late charges to that one late charge, plus interest, plus miscellaneous collection fees. They referred it to collections, we told them of the dispute filed directly with Toshiba and they stopped calling. Now they have ANOTHER collection agency, Ncalling. I first spoke to them on January 13th when they called. They left me a message at 11:48 am, I called them back at 11:56. The extension I was referred to did not answer and so I spoke to another very young sounding girl and explained the situation to her. Today they called me again. From the onset of the call I tried to explain that I spoke to someone last week about it, explained it was disputed directly with Toshiba and this girl said that she had never spoken to me and that "you are being rude to me". When I asked how trying to explain the situation was rude she just replied "you are" and hung up on me. That was at 1:35pm. I immediately called them back and requested a supervisor. A man saying his name was [redacted] came on the line and he was worse than the first. I tried to explain to him, he talked nonstop speaking over top of me to the point I was saying "[redacted], can you hear me talking, would you be polite enough to let me finish". He would not and so I terminated the call.Desired Settlement: Stop calling, A formal complaint and dispute was filed directly with the merchant/finance company, Toshiba Direct from the onset. Toshiba Direct apparently is continuing to ignore our dispute that was submitted to them in 2011.

[redacted] T [redacted] complaints have been logged and are being investigated at this time. All phone numbers have been removed from our system at this time to prevent phone calls during the course of our investigation. At the time of the sale no mention or documentation of the 2011 complaint had been offered by the original creditor Toshiba Direct. If Mr [redacted] could provide any names and phone numbers of with/to whom his complaint had been lodged it would expedite our investigation and would be greatly appreciated.

this company is calling me daily for an account I do not owe and has been closed. Today they phoned my place of business. Very embarrassing and harrassing

Review: MY COMPLAINT IS, A [redacted] CALLS MY CELL PHONE AND PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, ACTUALLY LEAVING A VOICEMAIL WITH THE LADY IN ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT, WHO SHOULDN'T KNOW MY BUSINESS. I THINK THIS IS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND HARASSMENT. I DID TAKE OUT THE LOAN WITH SPOTLOAN 2/2013 OF $500.00 AND I DID PAY 10 PAYMENTS OF 79.44. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE WELL PAID THEM BACK AND WANT THE HARASSING PHONE CALLS TO STOP.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE THEM TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE MONEY I HAVE PAID BACK AND CLOSE MY FILE. PAYDAY LOANS ARE EXPLICITLY PROHIBITED AND A VIOLATION OF RACKETEERING LAWS IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA.

I can understand how Ms [redacted] feels, I have ordered all calls to cease immediately per her request. I have also ordered my staff to mail out today a verification of debt to the mailing address provided to Ms [redacted] in this complaint. Along with the verification of debt will be a copy of the media we have for her account outlining the original short term loan, interest rate, and repayment amount. This was not a payday loan, it was a short term loan applied for online and agreed to on 02/11/2013 4:28:25PM. After reviewing the agreement we are prepared to offer a settlement to close the account out for good. Ms [redacted] after she receives the verification of debt.

Review: My fiance received a phone call from Nationwide debt management solutions today regarding a debt. When she told the woman on the phone that I had just returned from a funeral and didnt want to speak to anyone at the time, the agent on the phone told her that she could here me in the background. I got on the phone and spoke with the agent. She told me that she was calling in regards to a debt owed to another company, I agreed that I did owe the debt. She asked me to pay the balance today and I told her that I could not. She told me of a settlement offer an payment arrangements over the next six months. I told her that I could start at the beginning of the next month, the agent told me that she could not wait until the next month and that the payment must be made within this month. I told her that I only get paid once per month, she then demanded payment by the end of business today or she would call it a refusal to pay. The agent pointed out that I made payments for 5 months then stopped for over a year, and told me that I basically stole the item in question. I tried to explain to her that family health issues were to blame and she stated that my financial situation hadnt changed and that infact my income increased, refusing to acknowledge that medical and family expenses could change a financial situation. The agent was talking over me, she was aggressive, rudef, mean, and just plain unprofessional. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she told me that she was the supervisor, and told me that she could not let me talk to her CEO, and that anyone she transferred me to would also demand payment so nothing would change. The agent was a terrible person that really upset me on a day that was already difficult.I intend to make arrangements to settle this debt, however I will need a few days to figure out the initial payment and set up additional payments. After reading the 39 other complaints about this company I am nervous about giving them any money since they are clearly EVIL.Desired Settlement: Give me until the end of the month as originally offered instead of demanding payment by the end of the day. Hire and train decent people or at least give them a chance to relax and be compassionate with people in difficult situations. Do not contact my employer and no more mean and harassing agents. If an offer is made, do not rescind the offer when you feel like an aggressive tactics would casue more harm or allow the the company to seek litigation.

Mr [redacted], You account has been moved to a senior manager and we have put all efforts on hold for the duration of 1 month. You may of course reach out and speak directly to Mr [redacted] any time you wish to discuss the matter further. I am in the process of reviewing call recordings from the agent previously assigned your account and will be taking any actions necessary based on my findings. While the CEO does not take calls personally we do have senior managers and executives that do address customer concerns directly when there is any dissatisfaction on any level. As Mr [redacted] is one such person and very courteous he will be your go to guy to ensure all future communication is handled with confidence and professionalism while providing the personal touch we strive to provide every consumer we speak with.

Review: This company, Nationwide Debt Management Solutions, called me to collect on a Do-It Center Credit Card that was turned over to them for collection. I informed them I could not afford to pay off the amount owed, we began to discuss monthly payments. The representative asked me what was the absolute limit I could afford per month and I gave him that figure. He told me that was not enough. I repeated that it was the most I could afford. He replied that he would have to file a lawsuit and report that I was unwilling and uncooperative in dealing with them. He asked for my checking account information and debit card number. I told them I would not give them out over the phone. He again told me what I would need to pay per month, I reiterated the maximum amount I could afford. He again told me that would not be enough and again threatened with a lawsuit. I responded "If that is what you need to do, go ahead." Since then they have attempted to call me no less than 10 times on my cell phone, faxed the business office at the school district where I work requesting information in order to garnish my wages, called and spoken with both the principal's secretary and the guidance counselor. I have informed everyone who answers phones in our school district to forward their calls to my phone and to not give them any information about me. They told the principal's secretary at my school district that I had emailed them and they were just following up with me. That is a lie and I have never contacted them nor attempted to contact them. I received a letter which was an attempt to collect a debt - on the front side it said in bold letters to PLEASE READ THE BACK SIDE OF THIS LETTER - the back side of the letter was BLANK. The representative I spoke to was rude, unprofessional and their repeated phone calls to my work place is harassment.Desired Settlement: If this company has legitimately received this account from Do-It Center for collection than I want them to go ahead and take the next step and file a lawsuit. I much prefer to deal with attorneys than with this company. I will not resolve this through Nationwide Debt Management Solutions. They can save their time and energy by not attempting to contact me anymore and to just file a lawsuit.

Response:

I have reviewed all records regarding this account and the basis of the complaint. Several settlement offers and repayment options were negotiated with Mr [redacted] in Jan 2014 as well as sending the requested validation letter. At the time of our only phone contact with Mr [redacted] no consideration had been given for legal claims though the file was referred for management review by the representative. Our goal is always to work cooperatively when possible to resolve delinquent obligations or to seek viable alternatives when all other options are exhausted, Mr [redacted] phone numbers have been removed and marked as do not call per his request. All future contact will be conducted in writing.

Review: This company continues to harass me, my relatives, and my PLACE OF WORK and is always very rude. We have asked them to stop calling and they continue to call daily, often multiple times a day. We have families, early bedtimes, etc. and constantly receiving calls is ridiculous.Desired Settlement: If they need to contact me do so in writing. Otherwise, stop calling me, my family, WORK, or any other number you may have!!! I don't have money and it's no one else's business. I had to get state assistance for my electric bill, so I certainly don't have excess cash laying around. I am a working mother with a single income. At this point I'd rather file bankruptcy than pay them a cent for how rude they are.

Since placement in December 2013 we have not been in contact with [redacted]. As such she never requested at any time calls cease to any number until now, which we will honor. Messages have been left in accordance to FDCPA and our call logs do not jive with the call volume as claimed by Ms [redacted]. As we are in the business of helping resolve delinquent obligations our collectors are trained and supervised to ensure professional conduct while learning of each unique circumstance and offering the best recourse.

Response:

The last call on this account took place on February 3rd 2014. If any calls continue to come in it is not from Nationwide Debt Management Solutions, LLC. We will place no calls and all attempts to collect on the outstanding balance will be conducted in writing unless Ms [redacted] calls us of her own volition.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I paid my account in full and the original lender was never notified and still shows a balance. Multiple requests for proof of payment were unsuccess

American Web Loan were never notified that the balance was paid to this debt agency. I was threatened with court hearings, called multiple times and told I would be sued for a $500 loan. When the balance was paid, they never reported it to the lender, who still has it listed as unpaid. Each time I call to request a letter with proof of pay I'm told it will be sent via email by close of business. This never happened. Then, today, I was told it had been sent, which again was untrue. I am concerned about what did they do with my money if they never listed it as paid and will not verify that it was paid. Desired Settlement: Give me a written statement that this loan was paid.

With all diligence I have attempted to locate any account associate with [redacted] or the phone number (XXX) XXX-XXXX or the address [redacted] Ln [redacted] MD XXXXX-XXXX to no avail. I am unable to locate an account in either active or historical archives with that information. Please if you can provide the original account number or our reference number I could locate your account. My contact information has been included should you have any questions. Thank you.

On 2 occasions now I have received a call, at work, from the same representative. They made no attempt to contact me at home or on my cell. On the first call the representative told me they were call in regards a debt for a establishment that does not have a location anywhere in my state. When I stopped them and told them I did not have an account there they started to take a more aggressive tone. First asking me to verify my date of birth and last 4 of my ssn. Both of which were not mine. When I told the representative they had the wrong person they said I was lying and wold look into the matter and call me back in a few days and hung up on me. They did call me back a few days later. When I reminded the representative that I was not the correct person and that I had told them as much the last time they call things took a very nasty turn. The representative again called me a liar, and said they knew that I was a liar because they had verified my date of birth with my employer. I know this was was lie because my employer would never divulge such information, not to mention the date of birth and ssn are not mine! As I told the representative that I knew they were not able to do that because they had the wrong person they began to try and talk over me. I very clearly asked that they stop calling, that the language being use was harassment and I want to speak to a supervisor. They responded that they would just begin calling my brother [redacted] (I don't have any brothers) and hung up on me again. I used the caller ID to call back the number that called me and asked to speak to a supervisor. The person I spoke with was curious and polite they asked me to tell them my name last name first so they could look up the account. The supervisor agreed to speak with the representative about the way they attempt to collect and that they would remove the number from the system. I'm suspect they took me giving my name as verification that it was me, but they did seem surprised at a minor variation in spelling for gender so we shall see if I continue to get more calls. I realize this is a horrible job and they deal with people being nasty to them on a regular bases. I am in general a very friendly person and do not get nasty with people even if they are with me. A word of advise for the representatives, stop treating everyone like gum on the bottom of your shoe, most of the people you call do not deserve that type of treatment.

What this company is doing is [redacted]ssing and threatening. They have called my place of employment and family members multiple times after being told to stop. They speak over me when I tell them to quit their [redacted]ssment and threaten me with their knowledge of my social security number and even my recent divorce. Their tactics are illegal and reprehensible. I've been hung up on more than once by Colleen O[redacted] which I'm sure is not her real name and I have been threatened with jail by other people from her office. I have an attorney and have already placed a call to him to put this ridiculous and threatening behavior to an end.

A man called me and told me that I owed money on an account, and when I then agreed to cooperate with him he asked me to put money down on the account as we speak with out even proving who they are. Then when I proceeded to inform them that I don't have the money at the moment and that I can definetally take care of it in a couple days he got antsy and tried to speed the process up. I then told him that he will need to send me something in the mail stating that I will be paying this bill for what I owe and to what it is for, and that is when he lost his cool and began to threaten me with getting my work involved. I don't like this I was the cooperative one and then he transferred me to another man who tried to help and I told him the same thing and he got aggressive and angry as well I don't believe this is the right way to run a company or help anyone. they then told me they already sent work out in January or something to my old address but when I called my parents to see if I had received any mail they said they haven't. When I was trying to get this taken care of and do it the proper and legal way they began to refuse to do so and said they are going to come after me. I will press charges for harassment and everything else I can if they proceed to do this and when I was in the middle of explaining myself the man hung up so I believe this is a scam and a fake company!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: I have been contacted about a debt that is not mine.

On May 3 and May 6th I received two phone calls from Nationwide DMS for a debt my daughter apparently owes. I let my daughter know and upon her calling them they would provide no evidence of debt owed and wanted her to set up automatic payments for this debts to start May 10 and continue every two weeks for 5 separate payments to resolve debt. He felt forced to do this. She spoke to me about it and I advised she call them back and have them hold off on collection until we could do further inquires about the debt with US Bank. They refused and would not work with her. I also spoke to the manager and he would not work with us either. My daughter then contacted US Bank about the debt and was told it was sold to another complany and was giving a phone number for them (Not Nationwide DMS). She called them and informed her that they has sold the debt to Accredited Loan Solutions and was given a number. She called them and was informed in fact they do own the debt and could tell her and provide her with proof they own the loan. So stop payment was placed on amount to be collected from Nationwide Debt Management Services at her bank. It is my understanding that they were contacted by Accredited Loan Solutions to stop action and Accredited Loan Solutions have contacted their attorneys in this matter. Calls have started again today May 15, 2013 to my phone, my daugthers phone, and her work. I don't even know how they got my number. I have advised my daughter to file complaint with you and the Oregon Department Of Justice regarding this matter and have informed Accredited Loan Solutions of our actions.Desired Settlement: I want the phone calls to stopped, collection efforts stopped. We have done our home work and know who is owed and it isn't them. They could be investigated and put out of business.

The call logs for every call to phone number ending in [redacted] has been reviewed, my findings are the claim that 2 - 3 calls daily were made to xxx-xxx-[redacted]1 to be incorrect and not substantiated by [redacted] or our call logs. Review: Harrassing phone calls at work and on cell for claimed charges that I know nothing about - have received no documentation.

This company has retained a "locator" who has been harassing me on my cell and at work. They have contacted my supervisor and the HR department to "track me down in order to give me court papers". I have told them that I do not give them permission to contact me at work. They have given out personal information to others besides myself, in an attempt to find me. I have contacted Nationwide to find out what this is all about and they said that I have recieved documentation from American Web Loans, which I have not. When I asked for them to send me the documentation to prove that I owe money, they said that they would not do that until the debt was paid in full. When I told them I wasn't paying anything without proof that I owed money, they said that I will just have to go to court and deal with it then. When I asked what jurisdiction this supposed filing was taking place in, they said they couldn't tell me that. They wanted me to set up payments with them so that they could call off the "locator" and take care of what I owe. Don't they have to send me documentation if I request it and don't they have to stop calling me at work if I tell them not to contact me here? I am worried that they are going to jeopordize my job. I don't even know what this is about. Desired Settlement: I want them to stop calling me at work. Stop calling my co-workers. Stop threatening me with filing charges on me. Send me documentation regarding what you are claiming I owe.

I have reviewed our call logs and current client base. I have been unable to locate a record of Ms [redacted]'s phone number being called. To further complicate verifying Ms [redacted]'s claims, we do not currently or in the past service accounts for American Web Loans or any variation of the name. We do not outsource "locator" services, our skip tracers and employed in house. Without additional information there is nothing more I can check, should Ms [redacted] wish to provide any other information; names, phone numbers called, specific content of message, anything I can continue my investigations based on that. Without verifying her account is with our company I can only advise her to reach out to the company directly and ask for the floor manager.

Review: Continually harassing phone calls to me and my family members.

This company has researched out and somehow gotten my father in laws cell phone number (only had 9 months) and has harassed him about me; has contacted my employment and my father and husband. They have all asked them to cease contacting them. [redacted] has asked that I pay this bill in full with a debit card. I want information sent to me to verify any sort of debt I may have and he has not been cooperative. I am not going to give out my banking information over the phone. If it is a legitimate debt I owe, I want proof of it and a chance to settle it. I told him I was willing to settle, but I didn't have $1300 to pay outright. He stated I could pay about 75% of it and wait a week to pay the rest. I told him I didn't have that money. He told me to obtain a loan or sell my home. He calls 10+ times a day to me and my family members. He states he has spoken to my husband's business supervisor (which would be impossible since the business is run by my husband and me.) His amounts, stories and information change each time I speak to him. I wish him to send me verifiable information so I can work out a payment arrangement and cease contacting my employer, and family members. He has given out my personal information to my family members and explained I owed money on a debt and such. If I have a debt, I don't wish the person discussing it with my family! They need to contact me, and me alone. There's no reason to keep contacting everyone after being asked to stop. Desired Settlement: I wish him to send me verifiable information on the debt so if it is indeed legitimate, I can make payments on it. I also wish him to cease contacting my family and place of employment. There's no way I would have given out my family's phone numbers to this person and I don't use anyone for references like that. This debt is supposedly from 2006 and even if by some chance my father in law's phone number would have been used, the number he has now is only a few months old. I don't know where or how they are getting their information, but I wish them to cease contacting and also discussing the debt with my family.

Review: When they call my wife to collect money they refused to speak to her because she's not on the account I am but I'm usually at work so they hang up on her after yelling at her on the phone. How is this debt supposed to be paid it they will not let her pay for it I do not understand. And where I work I cannot take personal calls or make them. There is no reason to be aggressive and to Yellit my wife and all she's trying to do is pay the bill off and she's willing to make the payment or to pay it but they refused to speak to her and they start yelling at her and speaking very nasty and hateful he and then they just abruptly hang up the phone.Desired Settlement: They need to speak to my wife when they call the phone number provided to them so that she can pay the bill this is ridiculous if the bill is needing to be paid and she's willing to pay it it doesn't matter whether they speak to me or her.

Response:

I am confused as to the basis of this complaint. Perhaps the call Mr [redacted] is referring to is from another company as this account is currently paid in full as of last month. The arrangement was negotiated on March 2nd 2016 and was held in good standing until completion March 31st 2016.

Review: apparently [redacted] continues to call my place of work and harassing several times a day asking for secretaries instead of leaving me a message at my desk.

No one is to be stalked or harassed at their place of work as anyone can be fired.

I want the calls to cease immediately as this company can send me mailor call my home #Desired Settlement: I want them to cease calls to my place of work immediately.

They can contact me at home or via mail. They are harassing me

Business

Response:

Ms [redacted], I apologize for any feeling of discomfort you may have felt in getting your messages. I have reviewed the call logs and documentation associated with your account and am confused as to why you would receive multiple messages in a day from your coworkers. The phone number for your place of employment had already been removed by the representative assigned to your account. The records do no show multiple calls to your place of employment during any given day nor will you receive another at that number from anybody at our offices.

Review: The methods used by this company is the worst treatment I've ever gotten from any person or company in my life. I've been contacted by this company at my job on more than one occasion, which is not only embarrassing but harassment. I've gotten reprimanded because of the calls which puts my ONLY source of income at jeopardy and has caused a lot of emotional stress. I've asked this company not to call my job and I've still received a call. The calls are daily and I've spoken with 5 representatives from this company. The representatives are rude, belittling, insulting, hostile, and disrespectful. During calls, I've tried to ask the representatives questions for clarity. The representatives proceed to speak without stopping. When I expressed to the representatives that I felt uncomfortable with the aggressive approach of speaking to me and asked for clarity on the matter in which they were calling about, the representatives continue with what I feel to be verbal abuse. When I mentioned possibly speaking with my family attorney in regards to the manner, one representative says, "Attorney? What's the name of the Attorney? Right, there is no attorney." At that point, I ask to speak with a manager or supervisor. Now speaking the manager, I tried to explain that I wanted to ask questions to get more clarity. The manager also proceeds to speak over me without stopping. Then, accuses me and the other party associated with the account of giving them the run around stating, "If someone owed you money, you would act the same way." When I asked the manager if I could speak to ask questions, he said, "No, you can't speak," and proceeded to speak. A representative from this company has even said they would continue to call my job after I asked them to only contact from the numbers provided by me. I spoke to someone who told me they were the director and asked to only be contacted in writing to avoid verbal abuse or by phone at only two phone numbers. No one deserves to be harassed or verbally abused.Desired Settlement: STOP calling my place of employment. I am requesting that the ONLY contact numbers associated with this matter be the two numbers which have already been confirmed by me. Because of the verbal abuse by representatives, the PREFERRED form of communication is written. The director mentioned reporting my compliant to the company's compliance department. I also asking for confirmation of any actions made to address my customer service compliant.

Business

Response:

I am meeting with the Director today on the allegations within this complaint and the practices of the representatives mentioned. The phone numbers have been removed and no further calls will be initiated by anyone except myself or the director until we determine what breaches in policy have occurred and what actions we will take. At this time the account has been placed on a no work hold for 30 days or until the resolution of this complaint and our review.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: The man I spoke to today when I called nicely and asked them to please cancel my reoccuring auto pymt was harrasing and disrepectful and yelling

I have a collection account with this company that is 6 years old and they threatened me with a judgment going to a lawyer and I am currently unemployed and not making alot of money. To stop being threatened with court judgment I went on a payment plan. I found out today that one they cant threaten me with judgment after 5 years in collection and the amount they have is insane and doesnt even match what the credit bureau Equifax has. They have been charging interest and fees for 6 years since the account was originally charged off. I think this is illegal and harrassing and the man I spoke to today was such an [redacted]. I nicely called to ask them to cancel it and his response was okay well how are you paying the 4600? I said I can't right now im not working. Anyways he got beligerent harrasing and yelling and telling me to go ask all of my loved ones for money to pay it off. He was condescending rude and arrogant. He wouldn't authorize or even acknowledge my request so now I have to go into the bank and put a stop payment on the charge and pay $32. This company isn't practicing fairly or respectfully and are extremely harrasing.Desired Settlement: Well they should pay for the $32 I have to spend at the bank to put a stop payment on the electronic auto payment since he wouldn't even stop it for me.

I want this company looked into and its practices fixed.

After reviewing the calls and notations for the account I can answer any of Ms [redacted]'s questions and hopefully ease her mind at least in part. If she would look at the principle balance and compare that to her credit report she will see they match. That was the balance at the time of charge off with the original creditor. I agee the interest is a bit of a mountain in of itself which is why our agent was authorized an settlement authority to take realistic payment arrangements and forgive most of the interest. The repayment arrangement was not checking so I am unclear as to how $32.00 was charged to Ms [redacted] for a stop payment, this is done by banks when ordering a stop payment on a check. According to accounting notes as well as call log the payment authorization was pulled on July 2nd 2013 as requested. I will assign Ms [redacted]'s account to a different representative who is more experienced in working with special circumstances like Ms [redacted]'s.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

According to Equifax, no this isn't the correct amount and I will fight to get the amount of Equifax matching. It is illegal to be charging fees and interest long after the account has been closed! I have closed my credit card so your company can no longer harrass me for money I don't have. I do not want anyone from your company except for [redacted] to ever speak to me ever again. That man who spoke to me was such a piece of [redacted]! I am a human being who no matter what financial situation I am in does not deserved to be spoken to like that.

Please match Equifax's credit report or I will hire a lawyer to look into this matter of unethical practices.

Business' Final Response

My original response still stands. While I cannot go into the specifics of this account in open/public forums we have maintained the balance of this account within legal right for the type of account it is. If Ms [redacted] wishes to discuss the balance as it is today she is free to call or write our office directly. As there is no [redacted] here I can only conclude Ms [redacted] has the name wrong or has mistaken our office with another. AS Our phone records show, no calls have come in or gone out to Ms [redacted] or anybody she knows since I placed a hold on this account at the beginning of my investigations. This account has been placed with the branch director at this time to ensure the utmost professional handling. Thank you.
