Nationwide Debt Management Solutions Reviews (218)

Review: This company called from this phone number ([redacted] from West Jordan, UT) very late in the evening. They would not tell my wife why they wanted our address. When they wouldn't tell her she said, "I don't think so" and hung up. My wife is ill and doesn't always comprehend what or why things are being conveyed to her.

I called the number back to find out 1) Who they were. 2) Why they wanted our address. and 3) To complain to them for calling so late. I was treated very, VERY rudely on the phone and I was constantly interrupted by the representatives. Twice I was called a "dude" and when I asked them not to call me a dude they said, what do you want us to call you, "a chick"?

In my opinion this company is very unprofessional, disrespectful, rude, arrogant, downright mean and nasty. Everyone I spoke to acted in this very same manner.Desired Settlement: I feel this company needs to be investigated for their lack of professionalism, rudeness and being so disrespectful. They had my wife in tears.

Response:

The circumstances surrounding this complaint are completely mis represented. Factually the bill was defaulted within 51 days of the money being deposited into the debtorsaccount. Further, the BB has us with a horrible rating when in fact based on the number of consumers we generate a complaint 2-1000ths of a percent and yet no matter how we respond, Professional debtors like this one as well as the Revdex.com's lack of understand of our business is ridicules and we will be suing the Revdex.com for economic harm and we will begin taking all frivolous complaints as slander and we will name the Revdex.com as a co-defendant since it is providing the sounding board to an industry they do not belong. How about this, if you pay what you rightful owe, our economy would be in much better shape. The Revdex.com was intended to protect consumers with retailers and not folks that have already breached a contract, failed to handle their own obligation.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:First of all my complaint had absolutely NOTHING to do with this business' rating with the Revdex.com which is what their reply is eluding to. My original complaint concerned very poor and DOWNRIGHT RUDE customer service communication. I filed this complaint because I was repeatedly called "dude" even after I asked them to stop. And, I believe this happened with more than one representative. After two (maybe three) times asking them to stop the response was from the person on the phone was , "well, what do you want us to call you... chick"? With customer service like this it is easy to see why this business has the poor rating it does have with the Revdex.com.

Review: I was contacted by a [redacted] who told me he was calling to collect a balance on a [redacted] Card. He stated the balance was $25.00 and now was up to $7000 because of interest. I told him I would need to check with my ex husband to see if this was a valid issue and I would get back to him. I also told him I had been scammed before so I need documentation of the debt. I was emailed a settlement amount. He also transferred me to another person who he insinuated was a manager to try to help me with the situation. They wanted to know where I worked and how much I made monthly. I told her I would not give her that information and she said she could not help me then. The next day Mr. [redacted] had a women named [redacted] call my new employer. When the call was transferred to me Mr. [redacted] got on the phone and was very rude, condescending, and intimating. I again told him I needed time to look into it and he was not very professional at all and said if I did not give him payment information over the phone at that time he could not help me any more. I told him if I did owe the amount, I would pay it via their website. I tried to create an account on their website to communicate and verify whether or not this company was valid and the website would not allow me to set anything up and gave me a message stating the company would need to verify my information and I would be notified by email. I still have not received a confirmation email. I have also emailed this company a letter of dispute.Desired Settlement: I do not want this company to attempt to call me at my place of business or through any family member or number they believe to me associated with me.

Business

Response:

I have reviewed the calls connected to this account. Mr [redacted] did not say the original balance was $25 dollars, he said $2,565.93. The [redacted] card was opened in 2007 with a contracted default interest rate in the user agreement of 29.99%. When Mr [redacted] defaulted in 2008 the interested not only continued to accrue by accrued at a substantially higher rate resulting in the current balance owed. A letter was sent to Mr [redacted] on 10/13/2015 with all pertinent account information on it along with an obligatory 30 day grace to dispute the balance or request additional information.

Business

Response:

I still have seen no evidence of multiple calls per day to the POE. For me to take any action against the employees involved I have to have tangible proof of the infraction. The floors are monitored closely for any breach in policy or procedure. As to the marketing on Facebook, though I was not aware of this I do not see a breach here. Collection agencies have many avenues of adding and moving inventory with each other. These sales are not open to private individuals and restricted to only established agencies within the industry. No personal information is shared on Facebook or any other website including our own. This is to protect against 3rd party disclosure. Access to our website is indeed available and 24/7 at that however no personal information is on the website.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received the following items as requested in previous correspondence. They are listed again below. I realize this can take up to 90 days. Proof that the Nationwide Debt Management owns the debt/or has been assigned the debt.Copies of statements from the original creditor.Copy of the original signed loan agreement or credit card application I have requested a phone record from my phone company to provide proof of the numerous telephone calls.

Review: National Debt Management Solutions called my cell phone leaving a message on my voicemail and I didn’t know the debt owed to them or the creditor. I called them back to inquire about the call and a rude gentleman answered the phone. He asked me for my Social Security number and I advised him I wasn’t comfortable giving him my Social Security number without knowing what he was calling about. I verified my phone number and he stated, “You’re the right person”. He went on saying, that this company bought my debt and I asked what debt. He stated from [redacted] and it look like you have several loans not paid. I explained to him my situation and I was paying [redacted] but got behind. Then he stated, “something about having a diamond ring and paying my debt with it really didn't know what he meant by it but it was very sarcastic”. He was very unprofessional and rude. I tried to explain to him that I can only pay a small amount ($50.0 dollars) because I was helping my mother out due to her illness. He didn’t even care; he got ruder about the issue. He started threatening me about paying back the loan. Saying that’s not anything you need to pay more to take care of this issue. I advised him, I will be able to pay more in a month or two because my mother disable will have started. He got even ruder stated, “You work for the sheriff office and you make more money than that”. He was rude and unprofessional so I just hung up the phone.Desired Settlement: I don’t want to speak with that gentleman again. I want someone to take over my file and call me so I can resolve this matter. I don’t want him to call my job but to only call me about this matter. I’m willing to take care of this matter only if they call me in a professional manner because I only owe $600.00 dollars. When they call, please leave a message with a person name and number so I can call them back to resolve the matter.

Business

Response:

The account has been moved to a different representative for any future contacts. I can certainly understand [redacted]'s hesitation to cite her SSN to a caller on the telephone. It is but one piece of information our representatives use to verify the identity of the person with whom they are speaking. This is done to safe guard personal information of persons we currently have in our systems. Date of birth could also have been offered as a substitution as well as address resided at the time of the account's opening. As no information could be verified at the time of contact we cannot be certain our letter one or any verification of debt letter would be received. The letter one was mailed already to the only address we have on file, to date it has not been returned.

Review: This company keeps calling my place of work to the point that they are now calling other numbers at the office. A man just called another office when the main line was not answered. He was rude and threatening to the employee that people around here could hear him yelling. I do not want to be called at work as this is in violation for the Fair Dept Collection act. I was recently threatened with being served at home and when I told them that I work that they would find me to serve me. At this point I have not receive any paperwork to tell me information about my debt. I refuse to deal with them over the phone at this point and want any further correspondence to be done via US Mail. They have no right to be threatening anyone.Desired Settlement: Don't want this company to contact my job again ever and I want them to be forbidden from reaching out to me by any means - only via mail.

Business

Response:

I am confused as to why a seasoned representative would be get this kind of complaint especially from someones with standing payment arrangements. Your account has been removed from his work drive and assigned to another representative. The Employment number has been removed and email noted for future reference. I will be personally reviewing his call logs and any recordings with the compliance officer and act accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns, anything needed feel free to contact our offices and speak directly to [redacted]. In the meantime I will any requested documentation either email or USPS, whichever is preferred.

Review: This lady named [redacted] is continuously calling my cellphone from 0800am-0900pm, mind you I am at work most of these hours and I am not alloyed time to take care of my personal matters at work and when I try to explain this to "[redacted]" she gets loud in a threatening tone and tells me I need to take of this matter or else. After she calls my cellphone she calls my job and gets verbally abusive and when she gets a answer she doesn't like she continues to call my work number even when she is asked not to call anymore as a result I have been suspended without pay for "[redacted]" insists on constantly calling my employer. Now, [redacted] how do you expect me to pay the debt without a job? ThanksDesired Settlement: I would rather they contact me via cellphone or email to settle this matter and if and when I can return to work I will apologize to my co workers in "[redacted]'s" behalf.

Business

Response:

I have reviewed the calls and longs related to this account. For the time being I have assigned a different representative. At no time in any of the calls reviewed was a representative asked to not call the place of employment. The calls did however either result in a message taken asking for a call back or disconnected abruptly after being transferred. It was not until 13 May that an representative finally spoke to [redacted] at which time w were asked not to call the POE. As to the continuous calls from 8am eastern to 9pm easter. While we do maintain extended ours in our California office nobody is present at 5am to make any calls. The earliest scheduled employees do not begin their work day until 7am Pacific, which is 10am eastern. I can only surmise others are calling for [redacted], others that can operate during such hours. We do however have a voice mail system that would easily take a message from [redacted] to pass along a best time and number to call.

Review: I am receiving several calls a day on both my work and cell phone. I have no idea who or what this company is. Today they somehow got ahold of someone who also works at my company but no one that I directly work with as this person works in another state, He was told that he needed to contact me immediately to have me call them about a debt they are trying to collect and that it's an urgent matter. I called the company and someone named [redacted] answered I could hardly get a word in as he kept talking over me and interrupting me. HE said they can call whoever they want as many times as they want when I requested they stop calling my employer as they are not allowed to discuss any information about me with another person. He told me they would stop calling when I set up an appointment with them to discuss when I would be paying them. I asked that they send me validation of the debt. He said they had (they have not I have nothing from this company) I told him I have not received anything from his company. HE said he would send an email. I told him no I want something in US mail. I again asked him to stop calling my place of employment and he stated he will be talking to them again tomorrow. At this point I hung up as I was very upsetDesired Settlement: I want no further contact from this company via telephone. I want this company to stop calling my employer immediately I also want them to stop calling my work number several times a day. I refuse to discuss anything with them until I receive validation of debt

Response:

Attached are both recordings of the conversation with Mrs. [redacted] and the actual rep as we have no one by the name of [redacted] in our employ. Mrs. [redacted] is not only stretching the truth as you will be able to decipher from the recordings she is also mis representing the facts. She listed her work information with the original creditor and all documents from this loan were factually emailed from the original creditor and that is the only way the money was directly deposited into her account. Further a letter 1 was mailed to her address of record in April and the disputing period has expired. whe was using profanity and making demands. we never told her we would be speaking to her employer as you can see in the recording. we told her that we would speak to her tomorrow as she was calling our rep a piece of s---ion closing this loan went into default within 62 days of the funds being deposited into her account and this type of action and mis representations is clearly nothing more than smoke in mirrors to attempt to avoid paying her obligations.

Business

Response:

I am just about done attempting to resolve this unreasonable complaint. The consumer was abusive to us on the phone and factually she got what she wanted. we are not calling her work and sine the most recent detail, I have taken the other number out as well. Ironically not only did she supply the main number to her place of employment she also used her business domain as the email for the electronic documents. I have no idea how the phone system works at the number ending in 1000 however this was the number we called and the only other number we did locate ending in 1406 was believed to be her direct line. So in closing she applied for a loan, listed the main line as her place of employment number and use her business domain and yet she is up in arms because we are attempting to contact her with the information given to the lender. further I am attaching the VOD that was sent the same day as that final call that was mailed to the address also listed from the lender. she is claiming to have received nothing. that was mailed via us postal mail and by supreme court ruling, if we mail it and it does not come back, she received it. I am sorry if the information given to the original was not intended to use should the consumer be delinquent. If there is anything else the Revdex.com would like to review, I will be more than happy to share, however this is my last response as it is obvious to me that this is nothing more than a stall tactic. All our calls are recorded, all our documents are in order and we have not broken any law.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received validation of debt again an abusive response. Yes I am up in arms just like all the other people submitting complaints against this company with the Revdex.com. Doesn't matter what I put on anything if that is even valid, if I request calls to my place of employment stop then under the federal collection laws then the calls should stop. I am also requesting ALL telephone communication stop. Any and all communication can be done through postal mail. Not email

Review: Contact with this Company was already established and they had my phone number. However, even after talking to them several times, they called my daughter. Not only did they call her, they called twice in the same day. According to what I am reading, this is against the law. Second, they were told not to call my work number and my cell phone number was provided. yet they continued to call my work number which I did not give them. they retrieved this number because one day, I had informaiton on my cell phone so I used my office phone to call them. I was told by the manager that they would take this informaiton off of my record and only use my cell phone number.Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation on why they are allowed to get away with this? Also I want to know what if any legal action is going to be filed with this company.

Business

Response:

Upon reviewing our records I believe this complaint to be a case of mistaken identity. Miss [redacted] has already satisfied her account with us and it has been closed out since. They payment was ran per the agreement with Miss [redacted] and the satisfied letter mailed to her mailing address.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

It does not satisfy why they called my daughter on the same day they already talked to me on the phone. I need an explanation why there was a need to call any other numbers when they had already established contact.

this is a violation of my privacy for them to be calling around AFTER they had alredy contacted me.

Business

Response:

Upon digging further I see the arrangement was for [redacted] to pay using a prepaid debit card. [redacted], her spouse [redacted] and daughter [redacted] were all spoken with when the arrangement was made and again when the payment was not available the morning of the post date. After [redacted] was reached the payment was made available and went through same day.

Review: National Debt took over a delinquent [redacted] account of mine for about 950.00 I made arrangements with them and paid it consistently until paid in full which was back in January. They have yet to report to the credit bureau that it has been paid in full. The credit agencies are still showing that it is in collections.Desired Settlement: Notify all three credit agencies that the account was fulfilled as agreed upon.

Business

Response:

The account was assigned to Nationwide Debt Management Solutions for collection by [redacted]. You account was reported to them as paid in full in January 2016. I have sent a follow up to [redacted] inquiring about this. As [redacted] suggested at 7am this morning, sending a copy of the attached paid in full letter to each of the credit bureaus is also in your best interest ensures it is done quickly and accurately. Double coverage never hurts. Thank you for your patience.

Review: [redacted] has called my job and home on several occasions asking to speak with my 13 year old son regarding his medical bill that has been paid since July 2, 2013. There were issues between the medical office and my insurance carrier in 2013 which was cleared and the balance paid. I called the medical office on February 26, 2015 and spoke with [redacted] informing her that I was getting harassing phone calls from [redacted]/Nationwide Debt Management Solutions. She checked my account and assured me that there was no balance due. She then offered to put me on a conference call with [redacted]. She verified that there was no debt as I had already stated this repeatedly. She also told him that I was requesting confirmation in writing from Nationwide Debt Management Solutions that there was no reason for anymore calls regarding this and he stated that he would send confirmation. I personally called [redacted] last week to remind him that I was still waiting for the confirmation stating that my information had been removed from their data base/system and there would be no more contact from them. In his sarcastic and rude tone, he told me that was not something that he could do. I would need to speak to the medical office about that. When I informed him that the medical office was not the one contacting my home or job and they had provided me with the information that was requested but he was the one harassing me not the medical office. He then told me that I needed to listen and stop being rude. I would have sent him a letter requesting this but I did not know an address as I have never received anything from them as a notice of any sort only phone calls!Desired Settlement: A written apology along with confirmation that my information and my child's information is no longer in their data system and I will not hear from them again regarding this issue.

Business

Response:

Ms [redacted], Both of your accounts have been closed with out offices as paid prior and Richard has been sent through remedial training. I am sincerely sorry for any confusion or frustration caused by his overlooking your sons age. This has been documented and Richard has been made aware of what this level of complacency can create. We have also spoken with our client and are working on stream lining the payment and dispute reporting process to combat calls made on accounts already paid to a different entity. Thank you for your patience and understanding

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

2/11/2016 I had a man by the name of [redacted] called the main HR number at my job today stating that it was an urgent matter that I returned his call. I work in a crisis unit at a shelter and personal calls are not allowed. I was informed by my immediate supervisor of the rules and regulations of the center and if personal calls come in I would have to be written up. As I explained to him that calling my job can cause my termination he responded, that even if that happened I can get another job and began to raise his voice which I requested to lower it when talking to me. I informed him I can pay $100 a month and his disrespectful response was that if I have job why I am paying $100. At that moment I realized I do not need to be disrespected by him nor anyone else and I hung up the phone. I will send the money in and that is that. I will also see legal advice.

Review: This company is scamming customers out of money. They claim to be collecting money on behalf of doctors offices, but once you contact your doctors office to make an appointment they state they can not make an appointment until you pay off your collection debt, which I did- through this company and my doctors office states that they have not worked with this agency ..ever! so they are collecting money for a debt and keeping it for themselves.Desired Settlement: this company needs to refund me all of my money

Business

Response:

Ms [redacted] I am concerned with the content of your complaint. There is not currently or past any account owned or placed with us with your name on it. There is one account with your address however the name on the account appears to have no relation to you. Additionally there was never a call made or received on that particular account as the responsible party was reported to us as deceased by the doctor's office prior to any calls being made. Additionally there were no payments processed or sent to us with your address, phone number, name or combination of on any account in our systems. If you have any information or receipts to show when, how much and to whom any payments were made I will research the matter further and ensure credits are applied appropriately in an expeditious manner.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: it is a lie. I will look for copy of checks that I have paid your company. Not only that, the Revdex.com can contact [redacted] cancer center in [redacted] and they will vouch for me that this collection company has been collecting money from patients supposedly on their behalf but [redacted] cancer center is not even working with this agency, so they are collecting on a debt and keeping all of the money. Complete scam!

Business

Response:

[redacted], Please provide any information that you can supply. We would like to contact you by telephone to be able to speak in assisting the matter but the daytime phone number you provided is not correct and goes to the [redacted] Cancer Center. The address you provided as well goes to the [redacted] Cancer Center. Nationwide Debt Management Solutions did service some accounts from the [redacted] Cancer Center. The accounts were placed from an individual named [redacted] with Data Central in Fresno, CA. Mr. [redacted] is no longer with Data Central and we have severed all ties with the individual and our relationship as well based off his bad practices. There has been three police reports filed against Mr. [redacted] in the city of Fresno that we are aware of; as we filed one of them. This is very important to our company and case as again we have no record of your name and no other verifiable information. If you could please provide any proof of payments you made; where the payments were sent or processed; individuals you spoke with; any dates or timeline it would be very helpful to get to the bottom of this and assist you in any way possible. Please feel free to call our office to help better assist you as we attempted to call the number to speak with you that was provided but again the number went to the [redacted] Cancer Center.

Review: They have called 7 times, the last 3 times after I requested a letter asking to identify themselves and the alleged debt.

as per above summary, they also threatened me in my opinion by telling me on June 17, 2013 that a letter was sent from their contract lawyer W. [redacted] in March 2010 when in fact another collection agency owned this alleged debt. They did not own this alleged debt. Proof of this is that in April 2013, [redacted] owned this alleged debt. Also, on June 17, 2013 I asked them not to contact me in accordance with the Fair Debt Practices Collections Act and hung up the phone. Mr. [redacted] called back immediately calling me rude. Calling back after I told him not to violates this act. Also the several times that they have called also violates the act by harassing me with unwanted phone calls. I have turned this issue over to the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, and the Federal Trade Commission, along with your agency. I want to be left alone. Every time they call my stomach turns into knots. Also, 1 time out of the 7 that they have called me is when I am working, and wonder why I don't return their calls. Desired Settlement: The only settlement I seek is to be left alone.

Business

Response:

Business' Initial Response

After reviewing this account as well as notations and calls I see at no point in time the one phone number in my system as a employment number. According to these records the only number used reverses to Mr [redacted] and [redacted] at their place of residence. The five calls placed to Mr [redacted] through May and June were not intended to annoy or harass but due course of negotiation and follow up of settlement terms. It appears every effort has been made to extend a comfortable repayment schedule by freezing the interest and reducing the balance. Mr [redacted] has since mailed a cease and desist letter requesting all further phone communication cease which we will honor. Should he wish to discuss his account now or in the future Mr [redacted] can reach me or one of my representatives via phone or written correspondence.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

It is correct that they did not contact my place of business, but the cease and desist letter did because I did not want them contacting in at work which is a violation of the FDPCA. Also no terms or details were ever explained to me. Nothing was said about reducing my alleged debt or freezing the interest rate. I feel as the consumer I was intimidated by telling me a lawyer was ready to move forward with this case and that I received a letter three years ago stating so. This company never owned this alleged debt three years ago.

Review: National Debt Management Solutions has been calling my place of business and leaving messages on my voicemail and I don't even know the debt owed to them or the creditor. I went on their website and indicated in writing that they are not to contact my place of business under the Fair Debt Collection Act. I stepped away from my desk and I came back to an email from my supervisor saying that a [redacted] with this company contacted him and asked me to call them. This is over the top and I think I violation of my rights. I want this company to be cited for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Act. If I do owe them a debt, I would like to see the debt in writing and they need to contact me on my home number, [redacted].Desired Settlement: I don't want this company to contact my job again ever and I want them to be forbidden from reaching out to my anyone at my job or anyone besides me.

Business

Response:

Ms [redacted], we have received your request for no further contact at your place of employment and took immediate steps at that time to ensure your request was honored. Sadly even in a digital age a request cannot be completed within minutes. You account information is not directly tied to our website in order to safeguard your information from cyber threats. We are in possession of supporting documents from the original creditor and would gladly furnish these to you. They have been uploaded along with this response for your review. The phone numbers for you account have been removed with the exception of the number you provided. We will not reach out to you until you have had sufficient time to review and re-familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of the account. Any further question or concerns you have we would gladly address at your convenience.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because while I did submit my response online, by the time I got back from my lunch break, I had an email from my supervisor notifying that this company had contacted him looking for me. Not only is it unacceptable for this company to contact my job, it is even more repugnant that they reached out to my supervisor, who isn't even at the same phone extension as I am. I called and spoke to a gentleman at this company to find out what this was about because at the time, I didn't know which debt this was for. The gentleman told me that he had spoken to me two weeks before which he hadn't. Once he told me about the debt, I assured him that I would settle the debt for the amount borrowed, not for the additional charges that the company tacked on. He also went onto state that I was a money grabber and judging from my history of defaults that it wasn't likely that I would pay the debt and hung up. I found that to be insulting, abusive and a form of harassment. I plan to report this whole experience to the FTC. Thank you for your help.

Review: A representative by the name of [redacted] from Nationwide Debt Solutions has made numerous collection calls to my employers human resources department using unfair debt practices. He has harassed and threaten individuals that has answered the phone and given personal information that should not have been given out . A complaint was sent to my Deputy Director in regards to harassing calls from this agency. [redacted] called my spouse on 07/11/14 and advised of his attempts to reach me. She advised him that I was unaware of the debt in question and they are to no longer call my employer. She also made him aware that he would be receiving a cease and desist letter.Desired Settlement: I would like Nationwide Debt solutions to stop all collections attempts to my employer immediately and notify me via mail of my debt with their organization.

Business

Response:

We purchased this account in February 2014 and since then were unable to reach Mr [redacted] on any number.

Contact was made through an unconfirmed emplyment number in an attampt to verify employment and establish contact. No

details as to the nature of the account were disclosed to any third party with respect to common law within South Carolina.

Once a verbal request was made to cease calls to the place of emplyment the number was removed persuant to PDCPA regulations

and company policy. I will continue to closely monitor [redacted]'s calls however my review of the recordings has revealed no abusive

or threating statements made by him to date. We have copies of the media associated with Mr [redacted]'s account and are willing to

email or mail them to him for his review. Additionally Mr [redacted]; the VP of Operations, invites Mr [redacted] to call him directly

to discuss any greivences in detail and come to amutual agreement as to resolving this business. At this point no further calls will

be made by our offices.

Review: You are illegally reporting an account to all 3 credit bureaus which is NOT mine. The partial account number is [redacted] and the original creditor is [redacted]. I have sent three certified letters demanding that you delete this account from my credit reports yet you have chosen to ignore all of them. You have failed to ever provide me with evidence showing who opened these two accounts. The resolution I want is for you to IMMEDIATELY DELETE this account from all 3 credit bureaus as well as send me a letter showing that you have deleted the accounts. I will give you 10 days to respond to this email before I file a complaint with the California State Attorney Generals office as well as the Federal Trade Commission. I will also file a civil lawsuit in which I will seek damages for you incompetent, illegal behavior. If you delete the accounts from ALL 3 CREDIT BUREAUS I will consider this matter closed.Desired Settlement: Immediately DELETE the account from all 3 credit bureaus as well as send me a letter stating that this has been completed. I will then consider this matter closed.

Business

Response:

We are not the owners of the account nor have we reported anything as the account is owned by Brightwater Capital. Mr [redacted] has already been in contact with Brightwater and was provided copies of the statements by them. We consider this matter closed as Mr [redacted] and Brightwater are handling the matter between them.

Business

Response:

As stated previously, the account has been returned to Brightwater. As we down not own the account we have reported nothing to any credit bureaus defamatory or otherwise. As you have been in contact with brightwater already we consider this matter and the account closed. We have apprised Brightwater of this complaint and the nature of your concerns.

Consumer

Response:

Review: Please stop contacting me at work. Verfication that this is a legitimate debt.

This company keeps calling all my work phone numbers, friends and family members but not my home phone. I would like them to quit calling my place of employment which will get me fired!!! I have been a victim of fraud and am very leery of these type of companies with skeptical collection practices. A couple of years ago, I did default on some payday loans and have paid some off. Since I had so many of them, I lost track of where they had been sold to. I did pay one that ended up being a scam so I decided that unless I received verification of the debt, I will not deal with these companies. I feel that if I file with the Revdex.com then I would be able to verify this debt and they would provide me with the necessary proof.Desired Settlement: STOP CALLING MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. The only valid phone number to reach me is my home phone number (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Provide proof that this is a valid debt and I would gladly work out a repayment plan. According to California Law, if this is a payday loan the maximum collectible amount is $315.

Review: Today two of my family members received call from a restricted number. Both were left with voice mails asking to have me them back. After my brother received the message he allowed me to use his phone to call, as I do not have a working phone and I am actively searching for employment. I called the number and spoke with a representative who did not provide me with her name. She asked me for my phone number or the number that was called. I informed her that I do not have a phone or a working phone number. She tried to give me a hard time about it. I felt like they were very sketchy for giving me hard time about getting my name to look me up. After asking her and sensitively explaining to her that I do not have a phone please use my name, she was then able to look me up using my social security number. Which immediately made me feel uncomfortable. She did not tell me why they called me. She did list the family members that they called along with my family members phone numbers. She said that she would transfer me to a manager who would remove my families information from their list. But when I asked isn't that harassment? to call my family members and then tell me that they can call them all they want she said to me, ma'am your harassing me and hung up on me. I called back. Again I have no reason why these people were contacting me in the first place. So I called back and asked for a manager. I spoke with "Mark [redacted]." At this point I was very uncomfortable and weary of speaking with them because of their actions and inability to tell me immediately what they were calling me about and calling my family members as well. I pretty much do not know if they are a legitimate company or not. So I spoke to Mr. [redacted] and I asked him the company name, their address and if I could get and e-mail address. I asked for a debt verification letter. He than tried to verify it with me over the phone which I told him I want it in writing he then cursed me outDesired Settlement: I want them to stop calling my family members. I do not want them to contact any of my employers past, potential present and future. I want them to send me proof that whatever debt they are talking about validation notice. I want them to stop harassing my family members, we will record those phone calls. I also do not believe that what they are doing is legal.Mr. [redacted] told me that they debt was for Care Credit in the amount of $1709.31.

Response:

At the time of placement the phone number associated with Ms [redacted]'s account was disconnected, this is fairly common with accounts where there has been no contact for a year. As such we employ tracers to locate current contact information and verify or develop a mailing address. In some circumstances where no current phone number can be verified a nondescript message may be left with family members including a name and phone number, this is to prevent potential embarrassment and is not meant to hide our identity or purpose from our account holders. It is for this reason an incoming caller's identity is verified before any information is given to the caller, this is to prevent third party disclosure. To assure Ms [redacted] as to the origination of the balance owed and our identity on 10/15/2014 at 2:03 pm pacific an email was sent to her with a copy of the verification of debt. On that day the unverified phone numbers she said were friends and family were marked as such and removed from the phone fields. I have personally reviewed the call recordings associated with her account and have found no occasion where swearing or abusive language was used. As a precaution I have discussed the nature of this complaint with Mr [redacted].

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

The day the Mr. [redacted] called me I was sent the attached document a few hours later. I was never sent a Debt Validation Notice that informed me of How much I owe;

• The name of the creditor;

• That I have the right to dispute the debt within 30 days; and That if I dispute the debt, the creditor will provide written verification of

it.

I did not receive proper and fair notice of the debt or the reasonable time frame to respond.

§ 809. Validation of debts [15 USC 1692g](a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing --(1) the amount of the debt;(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;(3) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector;(4) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector; and(5) a statement that, upon the consumer's written request within the thirty-day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.

Response:

The VOD letter is not the same as the initial demand which was sent on October 8th 2014 by our letter vender. I have requested a copy of the letter from our vender and attached it to this response. The vender has confirmed the letter has not returned for any reason.

Review: My husband received a call today from [redacted] at work. When I called back he was okay and told me I owed them $1400 in a payday loan from May 2015. I asked why this was and he explained to me that it was the principal plus interest. He told me he was checking to see if it was fraudulent and I said no, but I did not recall taking out a loan in May 2015. He told me it was from Spotloan. I did in fact take out a loan from them, but it was sold in November 2015. They did not tell me how much it was sold for. I told Mr. [redacted] that I needed some time to look into this as I had been scammed in the past. He sent me an email verifying some information we went over on the phone. He called me back shortly after that and when I told him I was doing some research, he got very defensive. He was very rude to me and threatened me and said he didn't think I ever intended to pay back the loan. I have since called a lawyer to get my rights as a consumer, and I think the way I was treated is illegal. I do not appreciate how I was talked to. I do NOT want calls at all from this company. I will only deal with them through the USPS.Desired Settlement: Do NOT call me anymore. I want everything in writing.

Business

Response:

I have reviewed this case file as well as the calls with Mr [redacted] and his direct line supervisor. The account has been removed from Mr [redacted]'s drive and assigned to Mr [redacted], I believe his lengthy experience and demeanor to be a better mesh for [redacted]. There was a request for verification which was provided by Mr [redacted] as well as claims that calls to the place of employment are 'illegal'. There is currently no interest accruing on this account and we are prepared to review the financial history if [redacted] feels the balance to be incorrect in any way. It is not our policy or wish to harass in any way, merely secure an comfortable repayment schedule for our client's accounts and help [redacted] put one more financial responsibility current and behind her.

Review: his company pacifically [redacted] continues to harass me, my relatives, and is always very rude. We have asked them to stop calling and they continue to call daily, often multiple times a day. they goes through the list today I had 4 missed calls from them and my elderly mother who corey scared and threatened needed to take medicyn after she heard the message... we have told them to stop calling I informed original creditor I am broke and in the process of filing chapter 7 due to high medical bills but this company continues to harass and thraten my self and anyone I guess that may have known me at some time. and then once I block them they call from different numbersDesired Settlement: Stop all communication to myself and my relatives

Business

Response:

Factually the allegations in this complaint are completely erroneous. [redacted]'s account has only been with our offices since 21st of July 2015 during which exactly one call had been placed to each phone number associated the the account at the time of placement. The result of each and every one of the calls was no answer and one busy signal for number ending in [redacted]. A message was left on the home phone ending in [redacted] only. As such it was the standard non descriptive call back request. My findings are based on call records and documentation our systems make upon the completion of every phone call. If [redacted] has any pertinent information contrary to my findings I would gladly review and take them into consideration accordingly.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: lets see just in last week I have on 07/23 4 missed calls from them 12:30 1:30 4:30 8:30 times are aprox 3 voice mails left on my number and 1 my mothers number from "croey" right after they call I get from "uknown number one where [redacted] left a message they probably do this so they don't leave a trace in they message [redacted] state if I dont call wright now they will take legal action against me which is a care tactic they also called me other times but since then I have blocked them this is just a aggressive collection agency just harassing me and my family

Review: Today I received an email from [redacted] meeting and management - "someone was trying to contact me at [redacted]. This company supports the board I serve on. I called and spoke with [redacted], who identified himself as a manager. I spoke with him and he couldn't tell me why I was called or who contacted me previously. I would like for my information to be removed from their system since [redacted] was not able to tell me why I was called. My daughter then called back to get additional information and he asked if she needed a job. We do not have any debts outstanding, so there should be no further contact.Desired Settlement: I would like my information to be removed from the system and no further contact from the company or any associates.

Business

Response:
