New Age Skin Care Reviews (256)

I am devastated this morning due to an $89 charge to my account for a RISK FREE trail from this company. I don't have the money for this yet, it's SHAME ON ME for falling for this scam. The fact that Celebrities condone this is shameful! YES, shame on me and my family who will suffer this week because of this charge.

People please read everything, this is NOT as it appears! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!

I ordered 2 products of New Age skin care on the internet. I received those products in a nice box with a receipt telling me about the trial. I had questions and called customer service. The representative was very helpful and explained everything. I am very happy with these products and this company. I recommended this company and their products to my sister and she's really happy too. I know people always talk about the negative, that's why I want to tell about my good experience.

I ordered the free trial and then saw all the negative things said by people, mostly that it is a scam and they'll take your money. A few days of use impressed me but I knew I should call customer service and ask about the free trial and about them taking money from my account after the trial. The lady I talked with was so friendly and helpful and I told her I couldn't pay the full price so I would send the remaining product back (a lot was left). But, like another lady said, she said I could pay $19.95 and keep it. I did because I'm 69 and already my laugh lines were plumping up and almost blended into my cheeks. The bags under my eyes are markedly younger looking - at my age there are still going to be wrinkles, but my face is younger and brighter. I am very pleased.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Ms. [redacted] from New Age or is it [redacted] unsure as it really really is not clear ..... our daughter sadly clicked on an ad from The [redacted] and believed to be ordering cream to see if it will help with her severe lines due to severe sagging of the left eye which sadly she cannot see out of ... vain huh????? you are despicable to assume anything and your staff when my banking institution had a 3 way call 2xs appeared to have this "contractual law" and its in and outs down pact... sounds like you have a plethora of the same issues no? My husband has shipped out package today after taking a time stamped photo. I hope you receive your product and hope no one on this good earth has the misfortune to do business with a company like this again unless of course they have an attorney.

Regards,

Some shady practices with this company, and their fallback is "did you read the fine print?" So, you know that car insurance commercial with the lady talking about page six of your policy? Well, that's exactly how I feel today. Yes, I should have read the packing slip, and no I did not read the cancellation email. But..funny thing...there was no "thank you for your order" email that outlined the requirement to return the items within 10 to 14 days. Hmmm.

And then we have the manner in which the original offer was made. This is a good one. It came with a survey from Sam's Club (Sam's Club has no knowledge of this survey) that offered me a "thank you gift" (worth up to $100) for my continued membership and patronage of Sam's if I would complete a short questionnaire. Well, sure...what's not to love about a reward or "thank you" gift for answering a few questions. So, out of the three offered items, I choose New Age Skin Care...it will cost me the shipping...$5.95. Should have seen it coming when I had to give them a credit card. Big Red Flag!! But I went on...silly senior brain. Product arrives, I open the pouch...maybe there was paperwork (can't find it now) or maybe there wasn't. But seriously folks, do you read every invoice you get from Amazon? Guess I will now.

My big error was not reading the emails. I will confess to this. My bad. But my biggest complaint is that this company used my Sam's Club membership to bypass my Spam filter. Pretty underhanded, New Age Skin Care. And there were two other companies who offered products for the same survey....are those run by Globaltrek Distribution, too?

After much yelling OVER each other (the customer service representative and myself), I spoke with a supervisor who proceeded to offer me the products at the "wholesale" price of $19.98 and $19.95 for the two items I received on the trial offer....as compared to the price showing on my bank statement of $89.95 and $86.95. Hmmm...this took some thinking. If I returned the products, they agreed to refund $70 for one item and $65 for the other, claiming the difference was a "restocking fee." And that refund could take up to 20 days. OR I could keep the products, and they would credit my account $100 IMMEDIATELY, and I would only pay the $39.93 monthly...no shipping and handling in the future PLUS free gifts in each package...to keep the subscription going. What to do, What to do.

I am keeping the products, will take the $100 credit (instant refund) and take the loss of $80 as a reminder to not be so gullible. Yes, I get $39.93 in product, and I would have lost the $41.95 in "restocking fees" anyway. Funny how that adds up to almost $80.

Will I keep the subscription? I can only say that this whole experience has added wrinkles to my face instead of erasing them. The products...I'll try them, after all they cost me $80! But don't count me as a lifetime customer New Age Skin Care...not yet.

And a note about "Jesse," the supervisor: One fantastic salesman. And some REPUTABLE company should give that man a job. He sold face cream to a screaming, angry woman...and gave ONE positive spin on a miserable experience.

I tried to look up Mrs. [redacted]s' account with the address, telephone number and email address she provided to you on her complaint. With that address, telephone number or email, we have no customers.  However we do have a Monna [redacted] with a different address, different telephone number and...

different email address that does match the account number she provided.  Why is the information different on her complaint and on her order? According to the account number provided, Mrs. [redacted] has never called our office about her product.  She ordered the product on 6/16, it was delivered on 6/20, and she was charged on 7/4.  She did receive a reminder email, to the email address provided on her order, about 5 days prior, which was not the holiday weekend, and we were open.  We were even open on Saturday, 7/2.  I would like to know who Mrs. [redacted] spoke to and what telephone number she called, because it was not our office.  There is absolutely NO RECORD of her calling in.
Please find out if Mrs. [redacted] used a different address, telephone number and email address to place her order, and why.  After we get that information, we can resolve this.

Thank you.

Ms. [redacted] returned her products on 5/3 and was refunded in full on the same day.  Usually, her bank can take from 3-10 days to post those credits back to her account.  That is probably why she doesn't see the refunds yet, but if she had called us about the refunds, we would have...

explained that to her. This is resolved because she is refunded in full.

Thank you,
Lisa

New Age Skin Care is a very fraudulent company!

They first trick you into buying a “Trial” of their product for a reasonable cost but after 14 days your credit card gets billed for $89.95. Then, if you do not promptly call their customer support to cancel the “subscription”, you will continue to be billed $89.95 a month.

I called their Customer Service Department phone number listed on their website at http://newageskincareserum.com/contact/ on a Saturday morning at 11:30AM (PST) which was well within the listed support times of 8:00AM – 6:00PM PST, as indicated on the webpage but an automated message said that they were closed on Saturday and Sunday.

I work from 7:30AM to 9:30PM so it is near impossible to call during the listed Monday – Friday hours of 8:00AM – 9:00PM PST so I am going to try to cancel my “subscription” by contacting their email address.

New Age Skin Care is very fraudulent in their business practices and something should be done to alert more consumers like me who fall into their trap!

I ordered a "sample" from this company for $5.95 + $6.97 shipping. Little did I know it was a 3 month supply and I was then charge $89.95 and $86.85. Oh yes...the small print probably said this, but I didn't even think to look at that because I thought I ordered a sample per their advertising. Then...I was charged $89.00 and 49.95 because I was in an auto program - didn't know that either. The customer service is horrible...the company does not stand behind its product or it would give a full refund...and I'm not sure how these people sleep at night. Oh...they product doesn't work very well either. I feel ripped off.

These products are wonderful. I have been getting them for 4 months now and they have really helped my skin and wrinkles. I called in and spoke to one of the friendly reps and they actually gave me a great discount on my products. I will definetly keep ordering these products and will continue to use them until I get the results I hoped for! Thank you New Age for selling a great product and helping me with your generous discount! I am a very happy customer!!

Mrs. [redacted] called in on 2/18 at 9:04AM.  She told the customer service rep she did not receive the product and we told her to file a missing package claim with the USPS and we could refund her in full.  She then called back at 3:03 PM, and said she found the package.  The customer...

service rep told her to send it back for a refund minus a restocking fee since she was past the 14 Day Trial Period.  As you can see from the USPS tracking attached, Mrs. [redacted] received her package on 2/1/16 at 11:41 AM.  Even though the time starts at date of order, Mrs. [redacted] still had 17 days from when she received the package to when she was charged, well past the 14 Day Trial period, as we do give time for shipping.  Mrs. [redacted] can not receive a refund of the original $6.97 she paid, as that was for the shipping, and the product was shipped to her.  As you can see from the attached packing slip and website, both state the terms, This is a 14 day Trial, you must call us within that period to cancel, or request an RMA number to return the product, or you will be charged for it.  the packing slip also has our telephone number and email address on it. We do state, in no uncertain terms, that this is a 14 day Trial, in 2 different places.
If Mrs. [redacted] will return the product to us, as she stated to our customer service rep, I will refund $89.95 to her, and waive the restocking fee.  I cannot refund the $6.97 shipping to her.

Thank you,
Lisa

As we told Ms. [redacted] before, when we receive the products back, she will be refunded for the 2nd product.  We already refunded her $86.95 on 6/4 for a product we did not even receive back yet.  No matter what the situation with her daughter, she was not 18 years of age, and should never have ordered the product, or she should have told her mother to order it.  I am sure Mrs. [redacted] would have read the terms and conditions. As I said, when we receive the product, the other refund will be issued.Thank you.[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] is saying that he did not see anywhere that he was going to be charged for this product.  Attached you will see a copy of both the packing slip and the 2nd page of the website where the terms and conditions are clearly stated.  It says this is a 14 Day trial, the customer must...

call to cancel or they will be charged for that product.  Mr. [redacted] has never called our office to talk about the charge or ask to return the product.  If Mr. [redacted] returns the product, he will be issued a full refund.  If he would like to call to discuss this, he can call customer service at [redacted]  Thank you.Lisa

On 7/17 Sunday I tried to order a product from New Age Skin for wrinkles. As you went through the process of entering the credit card number for the shipping charge I noticed another product for eyes come onto the screen. I was carefully watching for anything that would start this as an ongoing order which I didn't want. As I continued I you couldn't review the order before it went through and sure enough the other product appeared as well. I hadn't ordered that. I was so disgusted but noticed that there was an 800 number conveniently placed by the order. I called immediately and left a message that I wanted the whole order canceled immediately and that I wouldn't be paying for this. I was so mad at myself for falling for this type of scam once again. On Monday morning I got a call (since I had left my number) to say the product had already shipped. I told the man I had cancelled that order immediately and I wouldn't be paying for it. He told me their office wasn't open on Sunday and the product had already shipped. Interesting that their shipping office was open on Sunday!! I told him that this was fraud to get something added to your order that wasn't ordered and that I would be reporting them. He said they had a good rating with the Revdex.com. When I pulled up this information I see they aren't rated by the Revdex.com. Interesting and most information is very negative. I receive a ithe call from the company and I told them that I had talked to someone already and I was going to report them. I received another call that told me they had cancelled the charge to my credit card and to just refuse the package if it indeed came. He had sent a note to shipping to cancel this order.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Mrs. [redacted] ordered the 2 products on our website on 1/24/16. As you can see from the attached, both our website and our packing slip states this is a 14 Day Trial, nowhere does it say Free Sample.  I also listened to the conversation and our customer service rep never said she will not...

be able to cancel, and both parties were rude to each other.  Our rep was reprimanded for the call.  Even though Mrs. [redacted] at first agreed to return the products, then accepted partial refunds on both, I am going to refund the remainder of her money in order to resolve this matter.  Our website and packing slip clearly state the terms even though Mrs. [redacted] must have misundersttod them. 03/04/2016 10:02am - Sir Vontae - 40.00 refund on each charge to prevent escalation.. cust accepted the refunds as resolution.. -sir T[redacted] 03/03/2016 07:54am - fixchristian - left vmail for a cb left message with spouse to call us back

This company is deceiving people with their so called "FREE TRIAL"!!! Besides the fact that 14 days is hardly time to see if you are satisfied with the product, WHO reads a packing list??? Which is where supposedly this 14 day nonsense was printed!!!

So bottom line is I was tricked into paying for a FREE TRIAL ITEM!!!

The customer called in on 5/3 and spoke to our customer service supervisor.  The customer said to cancel all further orders.  At no time did they ask for a refund or to return the product.  Both on the website when the customer ordered the product, and on the packing slip when the...

customer received the product, it states This is a 14 Day Trial.  The customer must call within that 14 Day Trial period, or they will be charged for that product.  As you can see from the attached information, nowhere is it in small print, it is in the same font as everything else.To satisfy the customer, wither they can send the products back for full refunds, or I can issue a $50.00 refund on each charge and he can keep the products.  The customer can either call us or email us how they would like to proceed.

I don't want to keep going back and forth. I am just going to refund this without them sending the product back.  See below for refund confirmation.08/26/2015 12:23pm By [redacted] - Refunded - $89.95 Trans-ID: [redacted]Their bank can take 2 - 4 days to post that credit to their account.  Also, we have tens of thousands of satisfied customers.  The ones who complain don't read the terms and conditions or the packing slip that comes with every product.  Because of 1 unhappy customer, we are not going out of business.  We have been in business for many years. As for us, this matter is now closed and resolved.Thank you.[redacted]

My 20 Feb email to their Customer Service address:

I made a serious mistake in accepting what I thought were small samples of your New Age Serum and New Age Cream for a nominal cost. And upon receiving them, the two packing lists had:

Part # [redacted] New Age Serum 14 day trial Price $ 6.97 and

Part # skc1002 New Age Cream 14 day trial Price $ 5.95.

But I now have been billed by my credit card for

2/19/2016 [redacted] Distribution Other Services $89.95

2/20/2016 New Age Merchandise $86.95

Nowhere on these two packing slips was any notice that these two products' cost would be anything other than $6.97 and $5.95.

I am very unhappy with the way your firm does business. And I will do my utmost to use the internet and any other means to warn everyone about your firm's unethical, and possibly illegal, behavior.

I will phone your Customer Service number ###-###-#### on Monday to ask for your email or an otherwise hard copy of my cancellation of any further business with your company and ask please that you carry out this request ASAP.

Sincerely, [redacted]
