This company is refusing to honor its accident protection plan; it's simple pet stain; technician came without equipment
Sofa & year protection plan warranty purchased on 12/23/from MacysWarranty provided by Uniters North America, LLC
Sofa Accident Protection Plan was advertise as "all accidental stains" including "food, beverage, pet/human bodily fluids, ink, marking pens, candle wax, jean dye transfer and much much more!!!"
Technician came to the appointment without any equipment; and very quickly concluded that he cannot do a job to clean this; and that warranty company should have sent someone with the proper equipment to do this jobAt no point did he mention an "accumulation of stains" or anything like that
This is the exact same type of pet stain that this company cleaned well on the very 1st request when they sent the proper contractor

The company has denied replacing and/or repairing the damaged sofa as per their contract therefore breaching the contract!

The warranty on furniture is worded in such a way that once you use the warranty then the piece of furniture is no longer coveredBecause of this I waited to submit a warranty claim until the damage was worseSince I did not report the damage within days none of my furniture was coveredTo make matters worse when I noticed new damage, the furniture still was not covered because of the old damage
This warranty is set up in such a way that it is extremely difficult to actually submit a claim and have the problem resolvedThere is a lot of fine print

Uniters will not honor warranty
I called in to report a claim on warranty purchased from american signature on a sectional that I purchased from them, was told that the terms and conditions allow for days to report the damage and that they will not honor the claimHowever I only called to file a claim when it was OBVIOUS to me that there was a problem with the furniture and I never called earlier when the sectional got softer thinking this was until such time as a I heard a snap (probably a spring) and then called in to report,this is unacceptable, I have a year warranty and currently only in the 3rd year and they will not honor the warrantyI was not issued with any of the terms and conditions on purchase as claimed by uniters and regardless I still called in a timely manner when it became obvious there was a problem with my sectional

My husband and I purchased a leather love seat from a local, well-respected furniture store Due to the price of the love seat, we purchased the extended warranty should anything happen to it The extended warranty was good for five years Recently, a shelf was placed on the love seat with a metal bracket, and the shelf slipped, tearing the cushion I reviewed our warranty and determined that rips were covered I took photos and submitted a claim to Uniters
A technician was sent to our home to review the damage The technician was rude, came three hours early and accused me of getting the time wrong, and proceeded to disrespect me during the consultation I felt incredibly uncomfortable having this person in my home I understand that Uniters likely contracts out this work, but the people they choose to contract with is a stunning representation of the type of business this is I was greatly disappointed in how I was treated
The technician told me the parts that were needed to repair the love seat and told me he would order parts Less than an hour after the technician left, I received an update from Uniters that they would not cover the claim They had determined that the photo looks like "cracking/peeling." I asked for further information as to how they determined this and was simply told the photo looked like it I was appalled Not only were they not upholding the warranty for which we paid EXTRA money, but they were calling me a LIAR I am outraged
Uniters is obviously a company looking to protect its own interests even if such measures including scamming customers and ripping them off I will never do business with this company again, and I warn others not to purchase an insurance policy with them They are crooks Safeguard your money and your reputation
