BEWARE --- Don't do business with NOOM! I signed up for the free trial and was slogging my way through the long and cumbersome questions that are asked to set up a profile. Before I was even done getting through the profile and the barrage of emails, I see that I've been charged $159. No notice, no warning, just bam. Of course there is no way to actually contact the company.
So on the app you cannot cancel the subscription at all, which in my opinion, is absurd because it should be accessible through the app. They basically just took $129 without telling me or giving me the option to cancel my free trial before it concluded. This practice seems sketchy and needs to stop, because why shouldn't I be able to cancel or update my payment on the app?
Would not recommend. Stay away.
This company bills for a one on one coach experience and provide a bot. They then bill you $129.00 after the trial subscription without reminder for services they did not provide.

Once the company found out that I made this complaint, they refunded my money.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

They are a scam. They undisclosed that they will charge you $129 after your trial period. What! I filed a bank fraud alert; hopefully I win. This is totally a scam. I would not pay $129 for their services. Crazy. No notification no notice just took the money. I would not recommend them!
Very shady trial policy and abysmal customer service. Avoid at all costs.
4 months in: The "coach" is useless, and simply parrots back questions. The group was great, because you could actually interact with people who also struggle and share experiences. However, after being sick for a week and a half, I suddenly didn't have a group! Really??? When I could have used the help most, they shut it off with no notice, no explanation.
The articles were somewhat helpful, but really, the the only true benefit is that they are in one place for a person to consume, rather than searching through the internet.
As for recommended foods, I was already doing most of that - whole over processed, etc., but needed more assistance regarding excercise. This is not the app for that.
Overall, Noom fails to deliver on its promises with regards to personal coaching, and is only marginal when it comes to support.
I was just charged $159 for this service without ever signing up for this! I signed up for a dollar trial and that was it. I never even used it and now I see this charge on my account. You’ve got to be kidding me. Absolutely robbery with no email, warning, anything that they will automatically bill me for the WHOLE YEAR. Please get back to me and refund! I will absolutely be disputing with my bank. I can’t even cancel my account on the app! Do better! Why run your business like this. That is absolutely terrible and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
I signed up for a free trial for 14 days with Noom. I never agreed to anything further. On the last day of the trial they charged my card before the trial is up. They charged $140.13 for 4 months. I never authorized that and I was still in the trial period. I would like a refund and to let people know this is a Fraud. They have no phone number to contact them. There are many other reviews of this company claiming they had the same experience.

I would give it no stars if I could. I signed up for the free trial and was told I could cancel at any time. On day two I asked to cancel everything. I found out I was still being billed for three products that I clicked on when completing the profile. When I asked to cancel everything there was no mention that these products were not also being canceled. I feel they "conveniently" didn't inform me of this as they never had any intention of refunding the fees.
Innovative and makes you think. Goal oriented with life change in mind.
This is a scam. I cancelled my subscription before the free trial was over, and they still charged me. There is no way to get your money back. No customer service to actually talk to on the phone. I tried to email them, and I got an auto reply that didn't answer my question. Currently working with my credit card company to fight the charges. I'm so mad at myself for not looking up reviews online. Apparently, this happens to everyone that tries to cancel.
The company collected my credit card information and said that the trial version would last for one month. However, on the 15th day of my trial, I was billed for $138.68, that is, the next four months. This happened without any notification or communication. Also, the company claims to not offer any refunds at all.

I am resorting to filing a Revdex.com complaint due to an inability to properly communicate with Noom after being charged for 4 months of a monthly subscription. After completing the first program survey I began the trial period and was charged $1 through Paypal accordingly. However, I did not set up an account or download the app. Despite never creating an account or connecting with a coach, the website only gives the option of cancelling your account with a coach or through app subscriptions. I paid using Paypal so I was not able to cancel the subscription through the app or with a coach. The customer service portal has a character limit, and does not allow you to speak in real time with a representative. This is not a company I would give access to my phone or continue to pay for a service. I do not want to download the app and create an account simply to cancel and give them access to my phone. I would like a full refund for the 4 months billed at once.

I’ve done a lot of diets over the past 25 years and I love Noom. This program works if you let go of old habits and be willing to learn new ways. So if your not ready to commit save your money.) The program is science based behavior modification but daily readings are presented in digestible modules (pun intended) The goal coach and group coach are a nice support team for you, but they aren’t there to hold your hand rather to ask questions that make you find your own answer. The weight loss is slow but steady and feels sustainable
My relationship with food has improved tremendously! My self-control had been taken over by impulsive eating. The daily articles and psych tricks have helped me understand my motivations, and I truly enjoy reading them. Once again, I believe I can make choices that empower me toward my goals. Food no longer feels like an adversary or reward, but rather a fuel that I can enjoy and control though planning and mindfulness.
A two week free trial is a lie! They tried to charge me on day 4!!!! This is the most unethical company I have ever see harp on people’s needs.
I tried the "free trial" of the Noom App on my phone. When signing up for the free trial I had to provide a method of payment for after the free trial expired. I gave them my PayPal account information. Very soon, they charged my account $149 to cover the next 6 months. I have been trying to cancel ever since (that was 2//19), but I cannot get to the "Noom coach" to do so. I tried to find their phone number online and could not. Their website has an option to "contact support" - but when clicking that link all I got was a page with a header that said Contact Support and no place to type in a message. I came to the Revdex.com site and found the Noom corporate office phone number. I called it and got a recording telling me if I was trying to cancel to do all the things I had already tried. Their last comment was to "Contact Support" which, of course, does not work. I am thinking the only way I can cancel Noom is to cancel my PayPal account, so that when they go there for the next payment (probably in August 2019), they will not find my account. Do you have any other suggestions?

Noom is like a scam. They do predatpry business. If you do their trial know that the continuing charge is unclear.and they will take your money wirhout mercy. They dont care about customers feedbacks. They act on bad faith.
Promotion offers a 2 week free trial, or donation based. I offered a partial payment. The app did warn that after the trial period you would be billed for the next month at the normal monthly rate, but it never said you're billed for 6 months up front. Second, I was never warned or checked in about the trial ending. Thirdly, the coaches are automatic, not real and not genuine. It feels fake and cheap and I would rather not have it than have a robot.
Furthermore, the recommended calorie limitations are the bare minimum of 1200 per day - which is only healthy for stationary and smaller individuals. There is no way to adjust based on height, weight or activity. I am a dog walker and a mom and 5'9. 1200 is not possible or healthy for me. THEN, when I went to cancel mere hours after my trial ended as I missed the window due to life, I am billed 6 months in advance at $129.00 and only then does it list that there is a NO REFUND POLICY.
What company doesn't offer refunds or pro-rates? THIS ONE.
STAY AWAY.
I reached out to Noom after I got a notification from my PayPal that I had a $159 charge to Noon for 8 months of a automatic renewal for this service all at one time. It was not clearly stated anywhere the price per month or that it was an automatic renewal or that there would be an automatic payment for 8 months. I did go on to the help portion of the application 6--19 and completed what I thought was a cancelation prior to the 14 day trial period. I do not utilize the service at all. I only utilized the application for 3 days and realized it was not a service that I would want or use. I reached out to the support team within hours of the charges to my automatic payment and requested a full refund. I was informed that it was not an option after the 14 day trial. I have sent another email to them requesting a full refund of $159 and have received no response. I already canceled my ongoing
subscription. I just simply don't and will not use this service. I also would like to clarify that the terms of the automatic payment or cost was not clearly stated prior to the free 14 day trial. For Noom, inc. to just take $150 for really no service provided to me whatsoever- That's still not a good business practice.
I would like a full refund please. I also understand that if you aren't allowed provide that assistance, I will be more than happy to speak to someone else. I do appreciate your help!
