Noom offers a free 14 day trial of their services, before charging you for 6 months of access to a goal specialist and support group. On their website, they state if you’d like to cancel your subscription while still in the trial phase, just let the concierge or your goal specialist know via the messaging feature of their app, and they’ll “happily make sure you’re taken care of”.

While I was in the trial phase, I told my goal specialist I wanted to cancel and not pay for the 6 months of services. She acknowledged my message, and after my trial, I only had access to the free version of the app (no concierge, goal specialist, or support group).

Today, I was charged $59.98 by Noom, for 6 months of services that I am not currently receiving and already requested to cancel. I emailed their customer support to let them know of this error and request my money back, but I was told it was non-refundable. Not only are they fraudulently charging me for services they’re not providing, they are also violating the terms of service posted on their website.

Very disappointed in this company.
I signed up for their one month trial but never used it. Before I could cancel - they charged my bank account through automatic withdrawl 159 dollars. this was only after 14 days .. not a month. From their advertising at time of sign up it was 19 dollar a month --- have no idea where 159 dollar amount came from.
I tried to call the number to complain immediately - it is an unmanned IVR system that states you have no recourse but to "Email" your coach and no one else or you will breach your contract - if you state to a member chat line you are leaving. They would be "sad".
LOTS of bells go off for me that they have no actual person to complain to - my coach never responded to any of my texts - just a "robot" response telling me no refunds.
I was able to get my money refunded within 2 hours of my complaining - I never used my trial at all - not sure if that was why or because I said I will report to bank and Attorney General of being overcharged and fraud was committed on my card.
Something doesn't smell right with this company, would not recommend using them or giving them your card information - I had to cancel my card to insure they would not use it again - I used *** for this protection against having to cancel my card --- but, *** denied my claim against this company, which is another story all together. Beware.

Signed up online for their service because it was $19.99 a month & it was cheaper than weight watchers. It was my understanding that I would be billed monthly. When the trial was up I was charged $159. Way more than the $19.99. I contacted them several times and their rep said they sent me an email stating what I was going to be actually charged. Well, I looked through my email and they never sent me the email ever. I have sent them(Rebecca C.) several emails and in their replies Noom stated it is their policy not to give refunds. Who does that? If they had sent me the email I would have been informed & canceled within the trial. Now I am out money I desperately needed.

HORRIBLE DISHONEST COMPANY. PAYPAL IMMEDIATELY REFUNDED ME THE $129 UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE. NOOM IS A FAKE.

Didn't lose a single pound in 14 days, coach seemed disingenuous and responses were canned. Not worth the money.

Terrible experience. No option to speak to human. Corporate office has no option to speak to human.

Signed up for a trial with a monthly price. Had unforeseen circumstances in the family and was late canceling the trial. I was charged 149 dollars for 6 months for a service I didn't even get to use and know I wont use. I reached out to their customer service to have my money refunded because I knew I wouldn't be able to use the program due a an immediate family member needing my full attention. I was told I would not be refunded. Literally the charge was still pending in my account and I contacted them asking for refund immediately and taking in consideration I only used the service for three days. No email or notice is sent when your trial is reaching its mature date either. Which would probably be helpful to people who have real lives and real issues going on. The way its worded when you sign up with them is in a way where you should be charged monthly but its not.

I marked my calendar to cancel my noom trial. the day before I went on to cancel and couldn't figure out to cancel the damn subscription from the app. Woke up this morning to a charge from them. I feel as they they intentially make it as hard and hidden as possible to cancel the subsciption before the trial period is up. I want a refund of the $129.

This company is very hard to get ahold of. When you do find a number to call it is just a long recording and you never get to speak with anyone. The customer support sends a generic response that does not address the full issue. I was charged when I shouldn’t have been and so far no resolve.

Noom should say up front that they have NO refund policy.Tried to cancel online but are forced to use the app which wouldn't load. Canceled on 14th day and still charged $149. I never even used the trial period.

I signed up for the 14 day trial for $1. I was unable to access the program. On day 15 they charged my card via Paypal $129.00. Not sure where that amount came from. The problem is that with my android phone it was difficult to download their program and they do not communicate with desktops/PCs. Therefore, I cannot use their program and furthermore, since it was hard to use, once I finally downloaded it, the only way to cancel the subscription is to tap the blue button and I cannot do that because either the program or my phone freezes and times out.. It´s a Catch 22. There is no telephone number to speak with a rep., only a recorded message that says to cancel the subscription, to click on the blue button. Outright deceitful scheme for those of us who do not have devices that communicate with their program. Again there is no internet site on my desktop and my phone is unable to use their program. I was unable to cancel despite my efforts. After trying all day, I finally contacted someone, and got a robot generated response. I would like a refund. They have not responded to my request. The product was useless, and I feel very ripped off.

Noom is a joke. I followed what their website/policies state to do for cancelling and they charged me anyway. I have sent screenshots of their own policies and my messages and they still won’t refund me. Now they won’t even respond to my emails. This company is worthless.

If you don't cancel before free trial ends they charge you a non-refundable 4 months. Not customer friendly. What a scam. Total fraud cheating people out of their money like this.

Horrible ripoff company!!! They do nothing more than comparable free apps. Even when you cancel well in advance of a trial period they literally STEAL your money, apologize for THEIR OVERSIGHT, then throw their hands up and say, “Oops! Nothing we can do.” STAY AWAY!!!

I started a 14 day trial of the Noom program on December , 2018. After the first week, I searched the website to find the procedure to cancel before the 14 day trial ended. I received an email from my coach which indicated that I need to contact Apple because my subscription was purchased through Apple. I logged on the my Apple account and cancel the account NOOM coach. This was the only Noom account subscription listed. NO other account was listed to cancel. I contacted my coach again via text concerning this and she just resent the same instructions. On Jan. *** 2019, Noon charged my bank account $149.99 for a 6-month program. I immediately sent a email to explain what had occurred and to request a refund.
I received the same form reply three times informing me that it is the policy to not refund money.

I have not been contact in anyway other than email to which only standard form replies have been epeatedly issued.

This program is a Rip Off! Do NOT sign up for their trial if you aren't prepared to be out $150. Their customer service is atrocious and just quote company "policy" as law. They make money from ripping you off.
DON'T waste your time and money.

I attempted to cancel my membership multiple times during the trial period, however, I was still charged a subscription fee. I did not use the product during the tireless period and have no intention of using it moving forward. After not receiving confirmation that my subscription was canceled, I attempted to contact the business via phone and they do not have a working customer service number. When I was eventually charged the subscription fee, I contacted the company within hours and they told me they could not refund the fee. I received no communication from the company in the days leading up to the charge. And there is conveniently no record of my attempt to cancel this trial. Since being charged, I have attempted to communicate with my “coach” in the app and am once again not receiving responses. Their app does not work or they are purposely not delivering in their services, despite having now charged me. I have had issues using the app from the beginning, including communicating with them regarding the cancellation of the subscription.

This company is a fraud, cacel my subscription within the time frame. Been trying to get my money back, can't get a hold of anyone. Stay away from this site.

I'm trying to cancel my trial membership which ask for a cell phone when I signed for the trial, I don't have an active cell phone so I can't get into cancel, there is no way to reach them, contacted the support team which sent me instructions how to cancel with cell, I can't, poor customer service, and a rip off if you can't even cancel when you want to. I better not get charge a fee for the 6 months following the trial I wrote to them the same day I ordered trial.Be careful when ordering.

This company advertised a 2 week trail for only 1$ then after $19.87 per month. I signed up so eager and willing to pay that price! The next day after my 2 week trail I was charged $119.20! Never ever did this price show on any thing I signed or read! This is illegal. I have emailed to try to cancel my subscription with absolutely no response from “customer support”. I feel a refund is more then appropriate since false advertising and stealing is illegal! I will never recommend this company to anyone!
