This is a scam. They tell you it's 19.97/month when you sign up after the $1 trial and you think okay - then in order to cancel you have to text you coach in the app and you can't uninstall the app if you do you can't cancel.
My daughter and I did this together and her coach only contacted her once and then when she contacted support it took over 2 weeks to get a response and then they said she would have another one in 48 hours and that was over a week ago and she still had not heard from anyone. She canceled as well with the same issues.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!! SCAM!!!
Love this program. Responsive staff and helpful information and tools. I am shocked by all the negativity about this program! I am having success using Noom and highly recommmend it!
Their program is based on sound science. I like it. Their 1-1 coaching isn’t quite what I had expected but not so bad that I thought of canceling
I joined this program for a trial then before the trial ended, I contacted the appropriate person via text through the app and requested to have the program not renew, I received a text back that stated "the program will end on August *** 2018 and you will NOT be charged again". However another $99 charge was made on August ,2018. I have been unable to reach an actual person that will talk to me regarding reversing the charge. I have made a stop payment on my account so that no more charges can be put through. PLease help thank you

They are a SCAM. I had to call my bank and asked them to block any kind of charge from this company. They never contacted me before or responded on tweeter, even their app is a nightmare.
This company is an absolute scam. They just want your money.
They entice you with a 14-day free trial. Then, when you try to cancel your service after the 14-day trial has ended, they charge you $129 and refuse to give you a refund.
I am disputing the charge with my bank to get my money back.
I am also disappointed in this program. I still don't understand why they insist "Your coach will be in touch" or "your group will" when there is no response to either. I don't believe there is anyone really interested in the actual program but "we'll charge your account." Just as long as the $$$$ is made that's all they care about.
If I'd know this I would have gone back to Weight Watchers!!!
I thought it sounded good, and they said all you had to do was tell the coach you wanted to cancel and it would stop. Once they charged my account $99 I thought "what for?" They literally don't do much anything. So I decided to cancel the subscription but when I emailed the person it came back as un- deliverable! I don't want them charging my account. There is absolutely no return for the amount they are charging and I want out.
Scam!! Very deceptive practices. Never let the customer know the cost. Would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Very poor business practices!!
Horrible horrible customer service!
Scam. Charged me without identifying what I was being charged for. $150 for one month?
The noom add stated a 30 day trial - I downloaded on 8/. They charged me on 8/. They say the trial is 14 days. gave no warming and picked a 129.00 plan to change me with even though there are cheaper plans

I signed up with Noom to start a healthier lifestyle and eating habits. The app promised articles to read, a goal specialist, and group leader. After the 14-day trial there is no option for a monthly membership, just an upfront charge for 4-months: $129. This is a decent deal as long as the program lives up to what it offers. When I was struggling to keep up my goal specialist offered no suggestions or methods to get back on track. When I asked to cancel I received an auto generated message telling me that my subscription wouldn't be renewed. My goal specialist didn't ask why I wanted to cancel or encourage me to continue in any way. The company provides no ability to see the status of your account or to contact them with issues. With no possibility for refund the app developer has no incentive to make sure that you succeed in the program. A company in the realm of wellness and self improvement should have some interest in the success of its members. Otherwise it is just a money grab and misrepresenting itself to potential customers. Call me fooled.

I was recently charged by this company for a renewal fee of $129.00 and I was never made aware that my account was being renewed. I tried to contact the company via there contact form as they do not list a support phone number or offer a chat function. I informed them of the issue and I was swiftly told by a rep that they never issue refunds as it is their policy and they only allow refunds if you cancel during the 7 day free trial. If feel this is completely unethical since I don't want their service and I don't use their serivice I should be refunded the $129.00 fee. I deleted the App in April of 2018 and was charged in August so this service was completely forgotten.

I absolutely love Noom! I've been on "diets" in the past but this has truly helped me make better lifestyle changes that maybe I just couldn't stick to in the past. I would recommend Noom to anyone and everyone! I understand it may not be for everyone but it's worth every penny to me!
This thing is essentially a scam, no way to track what plan you're subscribed to, no easy way to cancel, and no refunds when you realize that you did get scammed. I like the actual app itself a lot until the wrecked it for themselves with the absolute garbage account membership options.
I really like this program and am honestly shocked by the reviews on here! I’ve tried everything to lost pregnancy and breastfeeding weight. This is the only thing that worked for me. I was able to request a coach familiar with my situation and she’s been amazing. My group coach tries pretty hard but only a few of us respond. And yes the program changes after 3 months but by that time I found it appropriate to start weaning us from the program to be ready to be on our own. I’m still losing weight (30 lbs so far in 4 months) even though summer is full of temptation. Anyway I wanted to add my two cents. For me it’s a great and effective program!
I signed up for their $1 membership and NO WHERE did it state or nowhere was I notified that after a period of time (like a month) that they would charge me $129.00 WITHOUT my consent! I never even logged into the app nor ever used their service and they still charged me. I need to be refunded and demanded to speak with a live customer support agent, but I got ignored. I called and left them a voicemail 3 days ago, and no response. All I want is my $129.00 back! Noom is nothing but a false advertisement / scam and it's obvious with the plethora of bad online reviews and an "F" from the Revdex.com that the company needs to be shut down and everyone refunded!

I began a trial with Noom on July , in pursuit of trying to resume a healthy lifestyle and trying out a few different programs to see what worked. Noom appealed to me due to the fact that they claimed the customer could cancel prior to the end of the trial period and not be charged. If the customer decided to continue with the Noom coaching program, payments would be made in monthly installments to the card put on file when signing up. I was told my free trial period would end on Aug .
On July , I sent a message to the assigned "noom coach" via the app, which as per the company's instructions is the appropriate representative to cancel a customer's account. The "coach" was responsive and replied back that they were cancelling my account and that I would not be charged, along with the fact that my access would expire within a few days. On Aug *, I reached out again to this "coach" as I could not tell whether the account was still active or not. On this second occasion, the "coach" again responded confirming that they had cancelled my account.
I kept a close watch to see if any charges were withdrawn as Aug *** came and went, but no charges appeared, and thus I assumed they had indeed cancelled my account appropriately, and that this would be the end of my dealings with Noom. However, on Aug *** I discovered this was a dangerous assumption to have made. A charge for $129 was debited from my card, under the company Noom with the location of NY. Even if they had somehow failed to cancel the account despite confirming they had, the charge should have been in monthly installments ($129 is the cost of the total program all at once instead of broken down into installments). I am viewing this charge as fraudulent and dishonest, as there is no reason for it, and their own company representative ("coach") verified they had cancelled my account and would not be charging anything.
I have reached out to customer service regarding this matter, but that is a frustrating process in itself, as the only method besides "messaging coaches" is to submit concerns to "support" online - but there is a character limit, and therefore I needed to submit multiple in order to explain the situation. I do not have high hopes that these concerns will be addressed via the Noom customer support system online. In looking at other people's experiences, I regret to see that it appears I am far from the only one that has experienced this with the company.

Do not use this app. They trick you into signing up, making you think it's a "trial" for $1, but then hit your Pay Pal account for $129. I decided, fine, I would do it for the 4 months and see what it's all about and if it could help me manage my weight loss goals. It's really a useless app with "coaches" who are really not coaches at all. Then, I knew the end of the $129 - 4 month trial was approaching, but assumed they would alert me that if I wanted to renew, my 4 months was almost up. No. They hit my Pay Pal again for $129 and refuse to refund me. I had no intention of renewing because I didn't think it was worth the money. This is a scam and their business practices are down right dirty and deceitful. Again, Do not use this app and I would be leary of any others you see on social media sites. They've found a money making racket and it's all at the consumer's expense!
