Professional KIA Service Center insists on the cause of the damaged timing belt, engine valves was due to the failed defective water pump purchased from Advance Auto Parts not because of any wrong work performed by KIA nor contamination in the water pump from cooling systemIt clearly states in the report/receipt (attached here again) from KIA as “Found water pump locked up due to manufacture defect water pump which caused all the damage from water pump failing”

We have reviewed the information and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused Ms***We spoke with our General Manager, ***, at store # *** and he advised that he was not familiar with any lost customer informationOur store systems do keep purchase information for two years as a courtesy for customers then have it sent to our Financial Team for keepingOur warranty is tied directly to a receipt and is required for exchanges. The General Manager did advise he recalled speaking to someone about a radiator about months ago that did not have a receipt, but upon inspection he found the part had been modified which voids the warrantyWe would like to confirm if this conversation our General Manager had was with Ms***If this is correct then due to the modification we we would be unable to assistWe were able to request that the proof of purchase be locatedIf this is not correct then please advise us and we will request our General Manager inspect the part and see if we can request exchange. Our promise is to provide superior customer service and offer high quality products when you need themThank you for allowing us to respond

I am not sure exactly where I am supposed to leave my reasons so hope here is ok.I did take a proof of purchase to the Advance Auto Parts when I got off work this evening 1-18-5:45PMI took it to the store I purchased the battery from which was store # *** , phone # *** address *** *** ***, ***, O* ***The proof of purchase was given to *** *** I am not exactly sure why they needed my proof of purchaseAs stated in my complaint I went directly back to AAP after getting the bad battery results from the diagnostics done by the dealershipAs I said I spoke to *** and he replaced the battery and prorated the warranty to what was left on the original battery.Again what I am seeking is the amount of money out of pocket I spent due to the reading of their (AAP)testerHad I not been give that reading I would have had the battery replaced vs car rental and diagnostic at dealership.I find it hard to swallow the message from the business that "It is important for us to hear from our customers and we strive to meet your expectations"And"Our promise is to provide superior customer service" and goes on to say "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused....."I have seen absolutely no evidence that any of these statements are true and if they were AAP would quit giving me the run around and pay for their mistakeFurthermore if your tester doesn't work---Replace it.

In the interest of moving forward I will accept the $198, please note that Advanced Auto has permanently lost a customer and I will never refer any person to any of your locations I will never buy from your store again as long as I live and breathe Lastly, I do not live in *** and would prefer to have the check mailed to my home address, which has been provided This has been an unpleasant experience that I will never forget, but it has taught me several lessons
