In regards to the complaint that Ms*** has filed regarding *** claim # ***, we would like to respond further *** provides a “Required Installation Procedures” tag that is attached to every unit sold. The tag states the Water Pump must be replaced; failure to complete the full job voids the warrantyPlease find the attached Manufacture’s Required Installation Procedures engine tagFurther, the customer was aware that she purchased a Salvage unit and received a discount for its highmilageWith that, at this time Advance Auto Parts still supports the manufactures findings We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and if we can further assist you please let us knowTell us why here

inconvenience caused to our customer. Mrs*** was denied a return because the
battery had been installed in the vehicle, and is therefore not resalable as a
new product. Our return policy, which is
posted in each of our stores and listed online at ***,
states: “If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, return it
within days from the date of purchase to any Advance Auto Parts store with
the original receiptItems must be in original packaging and in new condition.”
Due to the opportunity received, we have reached out to the District
Manager, ***, and he has approved a one-time exception and agreed to refund
our customer for the battery. If Mrs
*** would please return to the store with the battery and her receipt, the
General Manager *** will be happy to take care of the return

We received both Mr***’s letter via postal mail the
same day we received his
complaint via the Revdex.com.
We have reached out to the General Manager at our customer’s local
store, ***, and he has informed us that since the date of Mr***’s letter,
July 22, 2015, they have worked out a resolution. The General and District Managers have
approved the $payment. The payment
had not been made at the time we spoke with ***, as the customer was working
with the dealership to have the repairs done and to ensure that they are
charging the same rate as their original quote, which totaled $960. The store will continue to work with Mr
*** until the opportunity has been resolved
