Review: I sent a ck to the NRA on the 6/13/14. another one on the 6/20/14 and up to now the bill wasn't paid in the amount of ($19.83) for national grid but was told I have to pay $40.00) for bank fees since I tried to resolved there was an error with ck and spoke to NRA supervisors and was harrased by their company. only one of their employee's was understanding MS. W[redacted]/MRS. I am willing to pay the bill of which I didnt know about until this letter from NRA. What can I do because NRA is tring to mess up my credit and wants me to be responcsible for bank fees and the last ck was not even process by chase bank and as was told by chase no transaction had even took place but NRA me to be responsible for that, with additon of all that NRA's supervisors was even told to put a stop payment on the ck # 1 the day after the received it and they never did.Desired Settlement: I would like NRA not charge me for bank fees because the refused to ask bank stop payment to avoid NSF. From MCU. Hope you can help in this matter. Thank you Very much. [redacted]

Response:

Dear [redacted] and [redacted]:We are in receipt of your complaint requesting that the bank fees incurred with insufficient funds be waived because the agency failed to cancel your check in time. The consumer mailed a check on June 12, 2014 and called our office on June 20, 2014 asking if the check went through or if it had bounced. Our office was showing the account as paid in full at that time but the check had not been processed yet. On June 20th the consumer advised she had sent us the wrong check but the payment was posted on June 19, 2014. The check was returned as a closed bank account on June 25, 2014. A second check was sent and deposited around June 30, 2014. The second check bounced on July 8, 2014. The two bounced checks resulted in $40.00 NSF fees to NRA Group, LLC. A third check was sent to our office on July 24, 2014 to date this check has not bounced but the balance for the two prior checks remains. We understand the consumer's request for the fees to be waived, however, neither check was deposited after receiving a request to stop payment. Both were processed before the consumer called in to advise of the errors committed on her end. At this time we are unable to waive the bank fees.Sincerely,Ashley *. Dear [redacted],

Review: I've been contacted by this business numerous times without anyone from there company leaving a message as to what they are calling about. Due to the inability to answer my phone during the business day it is hard for me to know what they are calling about. To continually call and never leave a voice message is ridiculous. If they need something, they should be leaving a message without continually calling and getting nothing.Desired Settlement: Leave a message as to what this is in regards to or stop calling me.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: I paid [redacted] physician group $50 after NRA first contacted me and they keep calling me about paying the bill, even after I told them repeatedly that the bill is paid. I contacted [redacted] and confirmed payment and asked them to contact NRA and tell them that the bill is paid.

This amount was an oversight on my part and when NRA first contacted me about, I call [redacted] and confirmed that I did owe that amount and sent [redacted] the payment.Desired Settlement: To have NRA contact [redacted] and confirm that payment has been made and stop contacting me.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Keeps reporting a bill from 2011 to my credit reports. Even though the bill has been paid off. Refuse to provide written documentation proving that the debt was real. Rude and vulger when I call them.

Review: On May 10, 2014, I visited a clinic in [redacted], PA. The clinic somehow sent a bill to a very old address of mine, so it was never received. As a result, there was no payment made and this was sent to a collections agency, National Recovery Agency in [redacted], PA. This company proceeded to contact me multiple times, leaving no voice messages of any sort when the call could not be answered. When I was finally able to take the call, I corrected the address they had on file and had the bill sent to my new address. Upon receipt of this bill, I proceeded to pay the bill, in full, to National Recovery Agency and received a confirmation number.

I was then contacted multiple times again for this same bill and practically harassed with one phone call after another. I finally was able to take a call and speak to a gentleman that informed me he was trying to collect a debt...the same debt. I spoke with him, gave him the situation and the confirmation number given to me by HIS company and was told it would be taken care of. Within days I was receiving phone calls again. I spoke with another woman on November 19, 2014, stating that she too, was looking to collect on this same debt. I was then told that I somehow had 2 accounts that were due, and only one was paid. However, she failed to provide any information to prove that there was a second account or a second debt to be collected. The numbers given to me matched the invoice that had already been paid, and that I had proof of payment of. She then "transferred me" and I was sent to another line, where the phone proceeded to ring multiple times and hang up on me.

Upon attempting to call back, I receive nothing more than a recording that they are not available and I must leave a voicemail with my contact information. Every single time they have called me, they have attempted to gather my personal information before giving me ANY information other than "this call is intended to collect on a debt". I refused to provide this information until they gave me something to prove it was a legitimate debt collection call. I have received 20 phone calls from this company since September 10, 2014. 11 of these calls took place AFTER the bill was paid and confirmed.

I have been harassed, treating incredibly unfairly and at this point believe this to be either a scam or VERY bad business practice and would like something to be done about it.Desired Settlement: This needs to stop. The supposed account that I have open (an account that they were unable to verify in any manner whatsoever) needs to be closed and dropped, and the phone calls need to cease. If I have to proceed further with forcing the calls to stop and file further complaints, I will. From my research I have seen that this company has hundreds of complaints such as this one, and someone needs to put a stop to it.

Dear [redacted]:We are in receipt of the complaint and provide the following response. The consumer is correct that he paid a bill, however, a second bill was placed in our office. The first account was received in our office on August 18, 2014 and was a bill relating to services performed by the physician. This was paid on October 10, 2014.This second bill, identified as NRA id number [redacted], was received August 1, 2014 and is for services provided by the hospital. We apologize for the oversight and for not advising of this bill previously. We have updated the address on file and sent a new letter to the consumer's address. In addition, we have requested itemized billing from the hospital to send to the consumer. Once this information is received it will be forwarded to the consumer. Both letters will arrive in a white envelope with a P.O. Box address in the upper left hand corner. The account referenced above has been marked not to be called and is marked as disputed. Review: I had an account with [redacted] ([redacted]) that became rather large this past winter. I ended up paying in early May with two checks. One check was for $500 clearing my account on May 6th, the other for $844.35 clearing on May 13th. In the meanwhile [redacted] placed my account in collections at the end of April. So basically, as I was paying the balance, they were placing it in collections.

Well, the collection agency, National Recovery Agency, kept insisting that I hadn't paid. I obviously had. We had numerous phone calls in May, June, July. I finally was able to search my check register and fax them proof of payment on July 15th. At the end of July or early August, they reported my account "in collections" to all 3 major credit bureaus. I called them today, 8/25/14 to ask them to correct the matter. They refused.

In the meanwhile, one of my credit cards had its credit limit decreased, I was denied credit from another company, and my credit score dropped 30 points.Desired Settlement: I would like NRA to remove the account and the "derogatory remarks" from my credit reports immediately.

Dear [redacted]:We apologize for the delayed response. The consumer filed a complaint with a different and was advise at that time of what the creditor had explained to our office regarding the payments and the status of the account with our office. Our office was recently notified that that the account's balance of $98.49 was to be adjusted to $0.00 with a write off.Based on this our office will be updating the account on its end as resolved and we have requested it be removed from the credit bureau report as a courtesy.Thank you,Ashley C[redacted], EsquireCorporate Counsel and Compliance Officer

Review: harassing and menacing phone calls from ###-###-####. They called my mothers house number and said my name and address, I do not live with my mother. they also divulged what is believed to be false information to another family member, claiming that I owed $24.00. also mentioned that my name could not belong to a female that it sounded like a males name. Entire family is on the do not call list, and I periodically receive credit reports, non reported I was $24.00 over due.Desired Settlement: Would like the harassing and menacing phone calls from ###-###-#### to stop.

Review: On 6/30/14 @ 5:39 pm,6:04 pm, and 6:50 pm. I requested that the agency provide me with information regarding a debt and each time I was refused. The call @6:50 pm I was put on hold and the person that took the call claimed to be from the "IRS". The only information I requested was the name of the agency that holds the account and that the debt be validated by mail. The first call I was told that I could not have that information.Desired Settlement: I would request that the debt be removed or sent back to be payed trough [redacted](original creditor)

Review: I applied for a loan and was advised that this company is on my credit report so, I called them to find out what it was for and to have them send me a bill so that I can research it and then if it is valid pay it. I spoke to [redacted] and she advised me that they can't send me anything they sent out something 3 years ago and since it didn't come back it reached me and it is valid. She also was busy documenting on someone elses account and made me wait 3 minutes to even say anything about why I was calling. Then she told me she would transfer me to her supervisor, I was transferred to [redacted] voice mail. No one there is willing to send me a bill or proof of where this balance is coming from. Response:

Dear [redacted],

Our office is in receipt of your correspondence dated November 18, 2013 regarding the above-referenced complaint.

As the consumer indicated in the complaint a CFPB complaint was filed and we indicated in that complaint that the only account matching this consumer's information has been closed and returned to the creditor since 2006. At the same time this account was requested for deletion from the credit bureau report.

We were unable to locate any other accounts matching the consumer's name, address, or last four of the social security number which are currently active and reporting.

If the consumer could supply an account number or a credit bureau account number this would better assist us with locating the account referenced.

Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact our office.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

We are in receipt of the consumer's rejection dated December 3, 2013. Based upon the information provided in this rejection we have been able to locate the account the consumer is referring to.

The consumer has alleged in his complaint that we have not responded to his complaints, however, this is the first we were able to locate the account he is complaining of. The information we had previously received, including the CFPB complaint, failed to provide information necessary to locate the account such as the credit bureau report account number. Our office was previously notified of the dispute on October 16, 2013 via the E-Oscar dispute system. Our office contacted the creditor to obtain information regarding the dispute. This information was forwarded to the consumer on November 6, 2013.

Once the backup documentation was mailed out our office verified the dispute as all information on the electronic dispute matched all information located on our account and the information that was included on the creditor's documentation.

As a courtesy we will be resending the backup documentation to the address provided on the consumer's complaint. The account will remain disputed and calls will cease for the current time.

If the consumer wishes to discuss this matter with a representative or resolve the matter our office may be reached at 800-360-9953 or via U.S. Postal Service at P.O. Box 67015, Harrisburg, PA 17106-7015. We kindly request that the consumer refer to NRA ID number OJS554.

I am in the middle of a mortgage application and this has been hindering me from obtaining the rates that I deserve this is not my account and I did not acquire this debt not did I authorized this debt to be obtained. Being that my dispute has been going on for over 2 months and there negligence to responding accordingly by law. I am requesting for this account to be removed from my credit report. or a No Status to be placed on the account. Being that this is showing up as a medical account I am requesting for all the Supporting documents including the Hippa Authorization for Medical information to be released. Response:

Dear [redacted] and **. [redacted]:

We are in receipt of the second rejection dated December 12, 2013. Please accept the within as our response.

First, the information provided in the CFPB complaint did not include an account number and we were unable to locate the current account at issue. This information as relayed in our response previously as well as in the CFPB Complaint.

As was indicated in our last response we have been able to locate the account at issue and the backup has been forwarded to the consumer at the address listed on the original complaint to the Revdex.com. We are unable to release this information without a document signed by the consumer allowing us to release this information to the Revdex.com due to privacy laws and HIPAA regulations. The information requested was mailed out December 11, 2013. The account will remain disputed and in a do not call status.

Finally, the consumer states that he has not received the documentation that he has requested and it has been over two months. The original credit dispute came in on October 16, 2013. The account was reviewed with the creditor and backup documentation was obtained. This documentation was mailed to the consumer on November 6, 2013. During this time period we received the CFPB Complaint and we were unable to locate an account matching the consumer's complaint because we did not have an account number. The account we did locate was closed in 2006. We learned later, with the filing of this complaint that it was the wrong account. The next credit dispute came in on November 21, 2013 claiming we would delete, however, the account referenced in the CFPB complaint was closed in 2006 and was not this account as this account was unknown at the time of the CFPB Complaint. When this dispute was received the backup was resent to the consumer's address on the Revdex.com Complaint.

Dear [redacted], We are in receipt of the complaint dated November 11, 2014. The account was paid in full on November 4, 2014. As a courtesy our office notified the creditor via email that the account was paid and that the consumer filed this dispute with the Revdex.com.The creditor confirmed receipt of the information and notated their records accordingly. Review: I Looked into my credit report and discovered that this company had a collections account on my report. So, I looked into it. I found no previous contact from this company. No bill, no letters, nothing. According to my credit report there are 2 collections for the same company (OSP Group) through this agency. 1 is for $84 and the 2nd one is for $504. According to my credit report both collection accounts were open on April 14th, 2009. I have contacted multiple people within this company and the original company with no answers on what was ordered, any bills or itemized lists of any kind. I also researched this company on Consumer Affairs in which several complaints were made about a similar problem. Several people stated that this agency is a scam company.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is for this to be fixed. I have no proof of any kind that these 2 items are even legitimate so I would like the balances to be set to $0 owed unless I am provided with proof of purchase and a list of items purchased. I would also like this to be removed from my credit report since it is causing issues with my credit.

Review: The collection agent / locator "[redacted]" has been calling me, my husband, my son, my place of employment (illegally) and my husband's ex-wife. If there is an actual debt issue, I should have received notice via mail. They say to those that they call, that I have charges pending against me. Funny, I have no debt issues and this borders beyond HARRASSMENT. I have checked with local police departments and the State of Connecticut police and there are no criminal charges against me at all. I am a financially responsible person. I will not tolerate this and will file a report with the local authorities and consult an attorney to start a lawsuit.Desired Settlement: NRA Group is to either call me ONLY or stop calling all together. Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: The company has repeatedly called my cell phone. I was called several times at work. I think this debt is a mistake.

I had contacted National Recovery Agency's client. They did not think I owed them anything. This evening, rather than research this, I just wanted to pay the small amount owed. But there was a catch--on top of the amount allegedly owed ($43), they wanted to charge me a $6.95 processing fee. Yet they were offereing me a settlement of $33, $10 less than the amount allegedly owed. The junior employee was willing to work with me. I just wanted to stop the constant phone calls and did not have time to go through all of my EOBs, etc. But I did not think taking the settlement was ethical. I was willing to pay 100%. I just did not want to pay a processing fee on top of it. The junior level employee then put me on with her supervisor [redacted] who was harassing and accusatory. She had me start from scratch and interrupted me every time I tried to speak.

She accused me of trying to be uncooperative and threatened me. She said I was not trying to take care of the debt. In fact I was going to pay it even though I am not sure it is accurate. I had my debit card out and I was ready to read off numbers. I will now research this alleged debt fully. I would have paid 100% even if it were not due. Now I will research this fully. NRA is not following its own corporate value. It must reflect in poorer than possible recoveries.

NRA's Corporate Values

NRA commits to treating all of our clients' customers with dignity and respect , without compromise, while negotiating solutions that meet the needs of all parties, never forgetting that both satisfying the debt and maintaining the reputation and goodwill of our clients is of equal importance.Desired Settlement: National Recovery Agency's ("NRA") clients need to know that NRA does not treat their customers with dignity and respect. They employee I spoke [redacted] to was extremely rude. She did not make it easy to take care of this alleged debt. If she had, I would have paid 100% without even researching the legitimacy of the debt. Now I will spend hours, days if needed, to get to the bottom of this.

NRA does not exhibit its own corporate values. If this can happen with a $43 alleged debt, imagine larger amounts? Why would NRA, a collection company, care more about the processing fee than 100% recovery?

Response:

Dear [redacted]

Review: I have been receiving calls from the company multiple times a day. So today, 6/3/14 I contacted them regarding the calls. The representative who went by the name [redacted] confirmed my first name and then gave the last four digits of my social security. She did not verify my full names, birth date or address. This issue is a threat on my identity and I tried to explain why this practice is unethical, which she got angry and accused me of telling her how to do her job. I then requested to be transferred to a supervisor, which I was. [redacted] answered and tried to tell me that this practice is ethical and for my protection, which I corrected him in saying that it is dangerous to give the last four digits of someone's social without verifying their identity. The conversation got nastier as time went on and I instructed [redacted] that I would be continuing my complaint. Upon looking over the complaint process, I called back to get their correct address, which I was transferred three times, to [redacted] who finally agreed on it. The issue here is that, anyone could have claimed my first name and been given a good portion of my social. This person may also have been able to gather more information about me, with how upfront the agency is with my information. This is an issue of security that the agency has not recognized or suggested that they would change their practices.Desired Settlement: I have been receiving calls from the company multiple times a day. I would like the company to be forced to change their practices, accept responsibility and release how many times they have given out my information so I can properly defend myself.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:Our office is in receipt of the complaint dated June 3, 2014. Please accept the within as our response to same. Our representatives are trained to verify certain pieces of information, including the last four digits of a social security number, to ensure that the proper party is on the line before disclosing any information about the personal business matter which may be placed within our office. The information that the representative was trying to verify with the complainant was for this very purpose. If the name of the individual on the other end of the line was not the correct party no additional verification would be completed as it would be a wrong number at that time.We apologize if this made the complainant feel upset but we are reviewing her allegations seriously and will ensure that proper protocol is being followed by all employees. At this time, a notation has been placed without our office not to contact the complainant due to this complaint with the Revdex.com.If the complainant wishes to speak to a representative in our office for additional information she may call ###-###-####.Sincerely,[redacted], EsquireCorporate Counsel and Compliance Officer

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because the company did not verify information, they offered personal information without verification. This is a breach of my privacy. They company should not offer social security numbers but should request the customer to verify it.

Regards,

Review: On December 19, 2013, my Experian credit report showed that National Recovery Agency (NRA) was still inaccurately reporting a debt on my credit report. This is extremely frustrating because in July and in November I had wrote to them about this. But NRA failed to fix the problem, or even answer me. NRA is ruining my credit report. Because of this, I can't get a credit card or even a decent apartment.

NRA reports that I owe them $223. But I do not owe them anything. I have never had an account with them, nor did I ever agree to have an account with them.

Thank you for any help.Desired Settlement: National Recovery Agency must stop reporting this inaccurate (baloney) debt to the credit reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax, and Transunion.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: For months now, I have been receiving rude and harassing phone calls from this company. They are very difficult to talk to and highly argumentative. They often threaten legal action against me and claim that they are required by law to make the harassing phone calls they make.

They claim I owe $50 to [redacted]. At one point in my life, this was true, I owed that money. I have paid that though and no longer owe [redacted] anything. NRA keeps calling me though despite the fact that I have repeatedly told them that I do not owe the money. Everytime they call, I ask them to stop calling. I want them to stop calling me. I also want them to stop trying to collect on money I do not owe.

Today, when I spoke to [redacted] directly they told me that they do not use NRA, LLC as a debt collections agency. When I googled NRA LLC I found nothing but complaints about how they are a scam.Desired Settlement: I want to never be contacted by them again.
