Review: National Recovery Agency made false claims and say I owe $52 because I did not make payment to [redacted]. North Carolina. I never received the bill from [redacted]. Also, National Recovery Agency and [redacted] never provided current dates of when the bill was created and sent to said home address [redacted] N.C.. This was unfairly placed onto my credit report for bad debt un-paid. This amount is about $52 that I know is wrongly charge and place on my credit report...Desired Settlement: I want the bad debt took off or i'll sue the National Recovery Agency.

Dear [redacted] and [redacted]:

Our office is in receipt of the Complaint dated June 27, 2013 which was received July 1, 2013. We have reviewed the Complaint as well as information in our office. We offer the following response.

[redacted] was first contacted on December 21, 2012. During that conversation [redacted] was advised that a letter would be sent. [redacted] confirmed the address was an acceptable address to have sent this letter and did not provide a current address to send the letter to instead. A letter was mailed to the address [redacted] confirmed on December 13, 2012.

[redacted]'s dispute has been shared with the original creditor and the account has been marked as disputed. In addition, the account has been marked not to be called. This should prevent [redacted] from receiving any additional calls.

In effort to resolve the dispute, a copy of the creditor's itemized billing is being sent to [redacted]'s address as provided on his complaint. A copy of the letter originally mailed December 13, 2012 will also be included as will a copy of this response.

Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact our office. If [redacted] wishes to resolve this matter he may call the office at ###-###-#### or he may contact our office in writing by mailing the document to [redacted].

Review: I have been getting repeated phone calls from this company - they call then hang up when answered... The have called my cell phone over 10 times in the past 6 days - each time hanging up (yes I have a record!) I finally called them back tonight and asked them why they were calling me.... They said they were looking for some [redacted]. I told them to stop calling me. They said that I would have to request that. I said I just did - to which she answered that I did not - and they were looking for [redacted]. I told them that if the harassing phone calls to me don't stop - I will contact the Delaware Attorney General and a lawyer and start proceedings. I have no idea where they got the idea that my phone number belongs to someone other than me..... By the way - my cell phone that they are harassing me on is [redacted] I have had the same phone number now since July 2007.... my name is not [redacted], it is [redacted] - and that information can be verified by AT&T. I told them this - and they said I would have to request not to be called, which I did again, but the representative said I did not do!Desired Settlement: I want - first and apology and a promise never to ever bother me again. If they do not agree to this, I will take whatever legal action I need to. I do not want to hear from them or any of their slimy friends again!

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: This company has called 5-6 times within the past two month. All of which I have answered the phone and explained that I would be happy to look over and pay the bill or make payments but they have never sent a bill to my address. Each time they call, the agent reads a partial address. The last two times I told them I was not receiving a bill they were very rude and cut me off while I was speaking. I am tired of all of these calls and being harassed when all they need to do is learn how to listen and spell and more importantly TALK to people not argue. After all, they are in customer service and yet have the MOST ignorant people working for them! I refuse to be harassed while I'm working all because they cannot listen and type in my address correctly.Desired Settlement: Send the bill to the correct address! [redacted], FL [redacted]. DO NOT KEEP CALLING REQUESTING THE SAME INFORMATION!

Our office was notified on April 5, 2013 that this matter was paid in full with the creditor. On that date we updated our files to reflect the payment and also update the matter with the credit reporting agencies to reflect that the account was paid.

As a courtesy, we have closed and returned the account to the creditor. Also as a courtesy, we have requested that this matter be removed from the credit report. Please be advised that updating of the credit bureau report may take up to 90 days and that this is beyond our control.

Review: [redacted]

As of today Monday May 12, 2013 the issue remains unresolved, as noted I understand that it may take up to 90 days to remove the negative information.

Review: I believe I paid off my bill with the [redacted] company and am going to confirm that. That is the bill that the National Recovery Agency said they called me about starting in 2012. I made one payment and they said they would send me in writing confirmation of the debt and all the details and confirmation of the payment. I never received that and the operator there said they do not send any confirmation of any payment or the debt until it is paid. I called them yesterday and said I would find my papers confirming this debt and payments and that I would call them back today to confirm the debt and pay it if it was legitimate. I thought it was a debt from the past year, not the one before and decided that even though I could not find the supporting documents, as I hoped to start a small business soon, it would be better to just pay it off. I called today, paid half of the $416.69 bill and then heard I would not get a receipt in the mail, that they had not sent me anything except one letter in 2012 and that after I spoke with them yesterday they reported me to a credit bureau. Does a legitmate credit collection company wait until you might pay them to report you????? I smell scam.Desired Settlement: 1. I will contact the ambulance company and see if this is a real charge. If it is I will gladly pay it. I genuinely thought I paid both ambulance companies in full and directly to them.

2. Is it legal to not send you written confirmation of payment to a collection agency?

3. I am very angry that I was reported to a collection agency for actually returning their call and responding to what they told me. Is that legal??

I am sure at this point there is a resolution you can help me with. I mostly wanted to let you know what happened.

Thanks very much.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:Upon receipt of the complaint, our office reached out to the creditor to obtain the additional information requested by the consumer. The request was sent to the creditor on June 11, 2014.On June 16, 2014 a payment was made by the consumer. This resolved this account with our office.According to the consumer's complaint she requested a receipt and was told one would not be sent. A receipt will be sent after a self addressed stamped envelope is sent to our office. This is due to the numerous requests for receipts that our office receives and the high cost of sending one out on all accounts. A confirmation number is provided on all accounts where payment is received. As a courtesy I have requested a receipt be sent to the consumer in this case for her records.Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.Sincerely,[redacted], EsquireCorporate Counsel and Compliance Officer

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: I have been making monthly payments to the NRA Group, LLC for over a year. I was instructed, if I fall on tough times, I am able to call and request to skip a payment if need be. I have done so several times, however, I have stayed on course each time there after. I had left a message to skip this month's payment (March 2013). My correspondant has failed to honor my request which has resulted in my checking account going into the negative. This is the third incident of this nature which has costed me 3 over draft funds of 37.00 due to their oversight. I am now in financial duress and I refuse to pay the insufficient funds fee from my bank. I knew the funds would not be available, hence my proactiveness.Desired Settlement: I feel NRA Group should either pay my insufficient funds fees (totaling 111.00) or take the total amounts of them off my total amount due on my bill. This was not my oversight yet I am being penalized for it. I can provide bank statements to show the over drafts.

Review: Acct #'s - [redacted] & [redacted]

I have noticed these two collections on my credit reports.

I have sent a prior letter approximate back in 2010/2011 for debt validiation and itemized breakdowns of the amts they claim I own ( $75.00 & $70.00), I have disputed these and still dispute the validity of these two bills, The original creditor is no longer in business and never answered my request when disputed with the original creditor.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like the accounts removed from all credit bureau's and not to be sold or shared.

Response:

The complainant previously filed a complaint with the Revdex.com on February 13, 2013. Revdex.com ID number [redacted]. Our agency filed its response on February 14, 2013 and provided an overview of the entire account history. A copy of our response and the original complaint is attached for review. The facts have not changed from this original documentation except that additional verification of the alleged account was provided to the consumer via U.S. Postal Service, certified, first class mail. The letter was signed for on February 20, 2013 by "[redacted]."

Our response was rejected by the consumer on February 19, 2013 because according to her rejection it was the first time she had requested "full" validation. As outlined in our original response and our response to the rejection on February 23, 2013 we have provided the requested documentation. Again this documentation was mailed via certified mail and was signed for on February 20, 2013. We enclose this response and rejection for review.

In the current complaint the consumer is again claiming not to have received verification and it was requested in 2010/2011. As was indicated above, this has been mailed out repeatedly to the consumer. As the information is confidential and private we are unable to disclose it via the Revdex.com site.

The account is in a do not call status, although no calls have made on this account since October 4, 2013. In addition, the accounts are still in a dispute status and will remain in this status.

Sincerely,

Review: I recvd a collection latter from this company the first week of July. The letter is dated June 30, 14. They are saying that I owe $110.00 to [redacted]., However this is incorrect. I attempted to call the National Recovery Agency, The lady I spoke with, Erika M[redacted], on 07-30-14 at 11:13 was behind horrible to me., In the letter it states if I am disputing the charges to call them. I did just that. I tried to explain to her that we do not owe this debt and why we did not. She went on to tell me I did owe it. I tried to explain to her that [redacted] actually owes us $120.00 and that we do not owe them anything. At that point she started laughing saying that just because they owe us money means I still owe them the $110.00. She continued on to say that there was nothing I could do and to pay it. Then she told me, while she was laughing, that the 30 days to protest the notice was up on July 27th since the letter I recvd was written on 06-27-14. I again tried to explain to her the date on my letter was 06-30-14 so I am still within my 30 days. At that point all she would say was, well is there anything I can do for you? I again told her that the letter states if I disagree with the debt to call them. She REFUSED to do anything for me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she laughed at me ans said she was on. I ended the call.Desired Settlement: corrrect their error or at least look into the matter.

Review: I believe the NRC ignored California statute of limitation provisions to collect this old debt

Business

Response:

Review: I have asked several times to send me a bill and the always say we dont send bills we collect money. the federal trade commision has advised me that with out a bill do not send money. I have sent money to them before I had known this company was a crook. they told me this was what I owd I sent that amount and the next day I owed more money. I pay that amount and a couple month later I owed even more money that when I stopped paying them. I have also noticed that in my credit report the ones that I have sent money on only a few dollars had gone to that collection. wher or who's pocket did the rest of the money go to? I can not get a true amount from them cause every time they call the amount I owe is very close to what I have in my bank account that sound a little strange? aloso I would like to get my credit right but it would cost me tens of thousands to do this with this company cause as I said before only a few dollars go to the collection. for instance one time I sent them money for a 50 dollar account and when I checked my credit report that account number showed that I still owed 38 dollar. so if I send in 50 and only 12 comes off the 50 dollar account it will take a lot to get it paid. this company is a bunch of crooks and all the complaints about the billing shows that. if it's a law that they have to send a bill then they should be out of business and sentenced for stealing people's money.. the ftc says they have to send a bill and all the complaints here are almost all about the billing then GO GET THEM!!! PLEASE!!!Desired Settlement: get what is on my credit removed since they cant send a bill for me to pay. if they can not prove to me with a bill that I owe the money and that way I can have a record of what I did pay on the bill then it should not be on my credit. i'm wiling to pay it to get it taken care of but I will not send money with out a bill any more. that way I can show what I paid and it it does not show paid on my credit I got proof that I paid it.

Review: There is a negative on my credit report for $487 that is on my credit report. This is hurting my credit rating and is stopping me from getting a loan to put a roof over my head. I have asked the company on several occasions what is this for and could they send me proof and/or something with my signature to prove that this bill is mine. I have never heard of this company and believe this is not my bill. If this is a medical bill, I have medical insurance. However, the company will not send me anything to prove this is my bill. I am asking that this be taken off my credit report.Desired Settlement: Please remove this negative charge of $487 of my credit report.

Review: I went into the hospital in September 2012 for a snake bite. I received a bill for the discharge doctor, whom I never saw. I spoke my the insurance company when I received the bill, as there was a discrepancy between what the doctor was charging, and what the insurance stated on the claim that I was responsible for paying. My insurance company stated to pay what the claim said I was responsible for. I then called the doctor’s office, and they agreed to the amount I was to pay, as long as I sent the claim with the invoice. I made the payment and attached the claim, yet they sent me to a collection agency. I sent the information to the collection agency to show that I paid. I spoke with them regarding the discrepancy, and they do not show that I sent the information. Somehow in the process, they lost my correspondence. I have since asked them to stop calling me until they resolved the issue. I am also on the do not call list, and have also filed a complaint with them. I am requesting that the company settle my account, as I have paid the doctor’s office, and to stop calling me.Desired Settlement: I wish for this company to stop calling me and harrassing me.

Review: When I tried to speak to a representative named '[redacted]' to tell her my identity had been stolen and I could send documentation, she literally started yelling over me so that I could not communicate with her, then she hung up on me. Her service was not only unprofessional but borderline 'mentally abusive'. I believe that this company cannot collect on their accounts because their representatives don't have the intelligence to communicate regarding these matters. Furthermore, I would suggest anyone calling this company record their conversations as these people are not capable of managing such matters and aren't able to document the call efficiently. What a NIGHTMARE!Desired Settlement: My identity had been stolen and I could send documentation. I believe that the Revdex.com should have an investigation on this companies business practices. They seem to be 'bullying' and 'mentally abusing' consumers by way of how they communicate with their accounts. Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: My name is [redacted] and I recently noticed an account on my credit report from NRA. I am very proactive in my credit and have never seen nor heard of this company before. I did not receive any dunning notice regarding this account nor have I been contacted about this alleged account. Thus, I took the initiative and called them to obtain information about this account. As soon as I reached the agent, I was almost immediately treated as someone who defaults on obligations because I was quickly taught that this account was acquired from another agency (odd because there was nothing on my reports about this alleged account). During my call, I was probing to gather information about this account and and the agent was rather frustrated with me so I then requested a supervisor. The supervisor was no better and acted the same towards me which was very disappointing as a consumer. I even made an offer to satisfy the small amount in full regardless of the ownership of the debt to have it removed since I am nearing the need for financing on a home loan and this will offset my capabilities. From here, the company said they will attempt to verify the account and mail me the documentation. I am not trying to shy away from something that may be mine, but I do wish to be treated as someone with respect. From what I did gather from my call, the account is very much in debate as to if it is mine or not. I honestly feel that there is some mistake here because the agent said that this account was registered to my mother's old address from several years ago. This account now shows that it was opened in Jan, 2014 which according to the timelines when my mother did reside at the address, the account is nearly 5 years old. Something is not right with this and the agency is not willing to elaborate the details with me.Desired Settlement: In effort to rectify this matter in a timely and professional agreement, I am more than willing to satisfy the small amount if the company deletes it from the reporting agencies. Further, I understand it is the company's obligation to report accurately; however, I am firm on the belief that this is an inaccurate report and also the reporting and collections practices from NRA are against the law. I am not going to pursue legal action unless I have to, but I am willing to work with the company in collaboration to have it removed entirely upon a full payment.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I was recently accepted to graduate school and was in need of student loans, but my application was denied due to a collection on my credit report from the National Recovery Agency. This collection was paid off by my health insurance company two years ago, and therefore should have never been on my credit report to begin with. I have been in close contact with the billing department at [redacted] where I was admitted, and they have informed me that my insurance has paid off my bill and proceeded to send me proof of such transaction. Also, someone from the billing department has spoken to the National Recovery Agency and was told that it was taken care of as of June 1, 2014. However, when I called [redacted] (the credit bureau) to confirm this, I was told that the collection is still on my file. I do not owe this debt, as the insurance company has paid it off. I greatly appreciate your time and any help that you may offer in reference to this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like for the collection to be removed from my credit report, so I can apply for student loans without an issue.
