Review: In June 2014 my family was on vacation in [redacted] Tx area. We made a online purchase of membership (season pass) to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and sister parks. Upon arrival to Hurricane Harbor we were not happy with what we encountered. A very poorly maintained park along with other issues. Immediately after entering we went to Guest Relations and explained our disappointment. The Representative was cordial and agreed with our concerns. She could see we had not rode any attractions or in any water areas as our swim clothes were still dry. She gave us a slip of paper and assured us that if we called this number that everything would be taken care of. We left and found some other attractions in the [redacted] Area. That following week I made contact with billing for Six Flags and explained to another Rep and his supervisor. In that conversation, Fernando and his Supervisor Lexi also assured me it would be cancelled an taken care of. Later that week I made contact with [redacted] as this was the method of payment for the initial down payment and future monthly payments and disputed the moneys paid to SF. That dispute was open for 10 days and SF did not dispute my claim. I received notification from [redacted] the the dispute was settled in my favor since SF had made NO contact with [redacted] regarding the dispute. [redacted] then refunded my initial down payment. I then ask [redacted] how to stop future payments and they in turn walked me through the steps. I thought for sure it was taken care of with all this. Approximately one month later I received a email from SF stating my auto pay had been declined and I needed to make payment at once. I then called SF again and talked to Diego. Explained the whole scenario once again and he felt it was an auto generated email and assured me it was all ok. I then received a nasty email from SF for nonpayment and it would be turned over to an Attorney firm in Flor[redacted] somewhere. I emailed them in regards to the whole scenario once again. I have had no correspondence with the attorneys in Flor[redacted] but I am getting correspondence from National Recovery Agency in Harrisburg PA. I received a debt collection notice and I sent a letter explaining every call made including dates and Representatives that I talked to. I also included the [redacted] dispute case number for proof that all this took place. I also sent a "Cease and Desist Demand". All of these documents were notarized and sent Certified Mail with Return Receipt. Yesterday I get another letter stating I owe the money and pay immediately. I do not want negative remarks on my credit but what should I do. I need help. Sincerely [redacted]Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is No Negative Credit Reporting. Quit trying to collect on a alleged debt since we did not use the Park for any attractions and left immediately. Six Flags has permanently disabled those passes for park entry. Please leave me alone.

Review: Unsubstantiated charges reported to the 3 major credit agencies in my name. NRA has damage my credit score by placing an item on my credit report that I have absolutely no knowledge of. I was never contacted by NRA in regards to a $59 debt they are trying to collect for [redacted]. They have reported unsubstantiated information to the 3 major credit agencies in my name without verifying the debt belonged to me, negatively affecting my my FICA score and my ability to obtain better interest rates. This is unethical and should be illegal. This is worse than identity theft and I am outraged that they would resort to such actions that would prevent me from obtaining additional credit and/or lower interest rates. This is devastating.Desired Settlement: They need to contact the credit reporting agencies and have the item removed from my credit report as well as send a letter apology!

Review: I received anesthesia back on 1-31-07 at [redacted] Hospital in [redacted], PA . It was a sedated injection for my daughter birth. This company [redacted] services says that I have at first the bill was delinquent but some how my medical insurance which was Medicaid at the time had eventually paid them. However this account must have got sold and sold around and the collection agency which finally received it does not want to take it off my credit. Saying I still owe on this account. The company [redacted] and myself have reached out to National Recovery but they refuse to let loose and update that this account was paid. I have reached out to the health insurance who carried me through Medicaid. They are now being ran under [redacted] and no longer have access to my account. So there is no way to receive an explanation of benefits. I did request that. National recovery does not want to report it as paid . I contacted the credit bureau and only one credit company removed it not the others because they said National Recovery has to report it to them that it is paid.Desired Settlement: To speak with the collection agency and tell them if I have proof the bill is paid they should honor that update by credit history or they may be possibly repremanded.

Dear [redacted],

Review: The reason for my complaint against this company is because they are reporting two different collections on my credit file. I do not recognize these accounts and do not believe they are valid. I sent them a validation request which they received on 03/27/2013 per Certified Mail. In my Validation request I addressed both collection accounts which one of them is [redacted] and the other is showing [redacted]. Which might I add that I have never visited a hospital in [redacted]. In my validation request which I have attached to my complaint I requested for a hippa authorization on the hospital bill and on the [redacted] I requested itemized billing which they just included a print out from there computer which does not show the full billing statements. I also requested from them the bill of sale for the collections showing they have contractual rights to collect on these accounts. They have completely ignored my request and sent me limited information on these alleged debts and are continuing to damage my credit. I have contacted an attorney in my area [redacted] and forwarded the information to file suit against this company if an amicable resolution does not come about between me and the company.Desired Settlement: I am requesting for this company to remove these collections from my credit report immediately,

Dear [redacted] and [redacted]:

NRA Group, LLC is in receipt of the Complaint dated April 30, 2013. Please accept the following as a response to same.

[redacted] has two accounts reporting to her credit report according to her complaint. The reason for this is that there are two different accounts in our office. [redacted] is correct that she sent a validation request which was receivedin our office on March 28, 2013. [redacted]'s account was marked as disputed and a request for verification was made with the creditor. Verification was mailed to [redacted] on April 5, 2013. [redacted] has indicated that this backup was not sufficient. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA") our office is required to send verification, a copy of the judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor. See 15 U.S.C. Section 1692g(b). Our office mailed verification, as stated previously, on April 5, 2013 explaining the charges for one of the credit bureau accounts.

Upon receiving [redacted]'s complaint our office requested verification of the second account. I am in receipt of that verification. It will be mailed along with a copy of this response to [redacted] at the address indicated on her complaint. It will arrive in a white envelope with a P.O. Box address from [redacted] in the upper left hand corner.

[redacted]'s accounts will remain in dispute status. As a courtesy, I have placed her accounts in a do not call status to prevent her from receiving any telephone calls about these matters. If [redacted] wishes to contact our office to resolve these matters she may do so by calling [redacted] and referring to master numbers [redacted] and [redacted] may also send written correspondence or payment to our office by mailing it to [redacted].

Sincerely,

[redacted], Esquire

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: On 10/1/14 I received a credit alert of a collection account being listed on my credit report. The account in which I have no knowledge had been placed on my report in August by National Recovery in the amount of $112. At that time I contacted [redacted] to found out what bill or other documentation had been provided to show proof of this account. I was advised by the [redacted] Rep that companies do not have to show proof of an account and that I need to contact the company reporting the collection for details. I contacted National Recovery on 10/3/14 and was told that this account was for a ring that I had supposedly purchased in 2012 from a shopping network. When I asked if he could send me a bill or some type of document showing the details of this account Mike (Rep) stated that he could not. First of all per the fair reporting act any collection agency should submit in writing the amount of the debt; the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector. None of which was done by this company. They simply placed this account on my credit reprot without any communication to me what so ever and once I did contact then requsting this information they still failed to provide me documents.Desired Settlement: Remove this account from my credit report.

Review: [redacted]

I am

rejecting this response because: Although as [redacted] stated in her response she

did send the requested documents after I requested them and they did remove

this account from my credit report after I submitted a dispute to Revdex.com and CPFB

this issue is still not resolved. I contacted NRA on 10/15 and was told that

someone in their legal Department would give me a call back which never

happened. I called NRA once again 10/31 regarding settlement offer on this

account and I was advised that there was no settlement available. I would think

that after all the trouble this company has caused by not contacting me before

placing this item on my credit report they would want to do the very best to resolve

this issue and close this account.

Review: This company has a collection reported on my credit for the amount of $1,018 for the original creditor, "[redacted] of [redacted] MO". I mailed NRA a debt validation letter on 8/29/14 and have yet to receive a response. This debt is also being reported by another collection company, for the same original creditor, in the same dollar amount. Pursuant to FDCPA laws, a company must provide validation when requested within a certain amount of time - this has not been done, leading me to believe that they do not have legal authority to collect the debt.Desired Settlement: This debt needs to be canceled, the file closed with NRA's office and all marks on each credit bureau deleted immediately.

COnsumer reporting agencies may take up to 90 days to update consumer reports and this is also beyond our control.Should you have any questions regarding this matter please feel free to contact our office.Sincerely, Ashley *. Review: On 11/4/2014, I randomly received a phone call from a man claiming he was with "NRA" and was attempting to collect a debt. He told me the call would be recorded. He hardly explained what the debt was, just the amount of $45 and some change, and asked how I wanted to handle it. I told him I had actually (just two weeks ago) had that debt taken off my credit report because I had never heard of it. My credit dispute was approved and the claim was removed. I told the man, named Brian, that I needed more information about this debt because I had no idea what it was and as far as I was concerned, it was settled. He refused to give me proof or even send me something in the mail, claiming he already had. When I told him I never received any such thing, he told me it was too bad because he hears that all the time. The only information he gave me was my date of service and the company's name who forwarded them the debt. He rudely tried to pressure me to pay the debt (using unprofessional language), but I told him I'd have to call the original company to make sure this was for real. So I did call, and the debt was real. It was from 2011. The National Recovery Agency hadn't tried to reach me not one time to collect a debt from 2011. The first time I heard of the debt was 2014. I never received a letter or bill or anything in the mail, nor one phone call until 11/4/2014. I never even received anything from the original company stating I had a balance or that it was going to collections!

So I called Brian back with the National Recovery Agency's phone number he gave me. Oddly, I called the number and there was no pre-recorded message or option to type in an extension. In fact, Brian simply answered the phone. This was very suspicious to me as ANY business should have a phone system so customers know where they are calling. I suddenly realized I could've called some random guy's cell phone for all I knew. Especially since his language was so unprofessional, I was worried. So I explained the Brian that I'd be happy to pay the debt if he could somehow prove to me that this wasn't a scam. He laughed at me and claimed, "well you called me!" He was incredibly taunting and rude. All I asked for was possibly a letter in the mail with an address to remit payment to, or some type of concrete proof. I told him I was uncomfortable with giving my financial information over the phone to someone who refused to prove to me who he was or where he was calling from, etc. So Brian put me on "hold" to get his manager. I was able to hear everything Brian said to his manager, he was being very derogatory as if I was a bum who refused to pay my bill, and even told his manager I didn't want to pay when I clearly told him that I'd be glad to pay it with some proof of where I'm sending my financial information to! Brian's manager was a bit nicer and did listen to my concerns. However, when I explained to him that the debt got removed from my credit report, he said I still had to pay it because the account was still open and that I just got "lucky." The only proof he offered me of who he was, was the National Recovery Agency's website. He also gave me my account number. So I went online and I paid the bill. However, when I paid it, I typed in my account number and no balance showed up at all. I still paid what he claimed I owed, but now I am scared that I gave my money to a scammer. I was pressured into it by harassment. For all I know, a scammer could've gotten a hold of my credit report (as I just had it done) and could've used that outstanding debt as a way to harass me into giving them my financial information.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to have this business investigated for fraudulent activity and harassment. In addition, if they are a scam, I want my money back. If they are legitimate, I highly suggest they change their policy so that people can easily pay their debts. Not everyone is trying to get out of paying a debt, as I was not. They treated me like I was sm and didn't want to pay my bill, when all I really wanted was to make sure it was real and some sort of proof of where I was sending my financial information. They need some type of company pre-recorded phone system, a way to access debt accounts online to people can actually see their debts, and they need to hire educated individuals who are professional. I understand the need to be pushy as a debt collector, but talking "ghetto" and being downright rude is no way to get a person to give you money even if you are legitimate. Their company business practices are absolutely horrible. Apparently they don't even have a "hold" button on their phones so I can't hear them talking negatively about me to one another! Something has to change if this company is real..and even after seeing their website, I'm still not sure it is. I will be contacting my bank and changing my credit card number just to be safe.

Review: My fiancee and I both received calls from a ###-###-#### phone number back to back. I, [redacted], answered the phone call, the person on the other end asked if my name was [redacted], I said yes, they then gave me the last 4 digits of my social and asked me to confirm. I felt very uncomfortable confirming over the phone so I asked what this was in reference to, they would not give me any information. They then began to angrily tell me I was being rude to them by not giving the information that was asked. I explained to them that I was uncomfortable about giving them that information and was then told they need it in order to finish filing the documents I requested. I did not have any documents that I had filed recently and asked again what it was in reference to. At this point I was hung up on, I called back several times and was treated the same way. I understand they can not give me certain information without confirming who I am but I would like a little bit of information about their company before I give over my personal information. I have never been treated so rudely before by any company. I also did a search of the company and the phone number they called me from, I found complaint after complaint almost word for word of what I dealt with. Before I did a search of the company and phone number I told them I was going to do so, I was told "good luck finding any information, you will find nothing on us" That there shows me they are not a reputable company and this was a scam to get me to turn over more personal information to them. They also asked me what phone number I was going to search, I gave them the number that called me from which is the same number I called back which they answered at. I told them the number was ###-###-#### at that point I was laughed at and told that wasn't their number, that their number began with a [redacted], the [redacted] number is the number that I called and was the number that they answered at. I am not sure what is going on here and am sure it is not a legit company. I do not have any debts with them, I checked all 3 of my credit reports after I spoke with them. I never received any bills in the mail from them either. I asked if they could mail me information on their company, again I was told in a hostile tone, that they will not do this. I am very uncomfortable with the way they handled this and am 100% sure this is a scam company looking to get peoples bank account information to pay off a bogus debt.Desired Settlement: To shut this "company" down and to save any other people from being victims of their illegal methods of getting personal information to steal from innocent people. I would like a letter describing who they are and if I have a debt with them to explain where the debt is from so I can call that company to inquire about it.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: My problem is that National Recovery Agency has not responded to my dunning letter asking for proof of these charges, proof of the amount of these charges and their ownership of this account with documentation from original creditor. This is the second time National Recovery Agency has put a collection account on my credit report inaccurately. This company does not do the proper things by law that they are required to do in a timely matter, such as provide documentation of account details, chargers, validating account and amount claimed that is owed, and all other pertinent documentation from the creditor they bought this account from. They harass consumers by phone, mail and by putting wrong information on credit reports to hender consumer's creditworthiness.Desired Settlement: I would like this account closed and removed from all credit bureaus, if applicable, immediately and completely.
