My vehicle, that was insured through Omnisure, was recently was recently involved in a wreck, and subsequently totaled. I phoned the customer service number to inquire as to the cancellation process. Rather than answer my questions, the representative continued a hard sell approach trying to get me to continue to keep the insurance by transferring it to another vehicle. It was difficult to get a word in as I tried to explain that I did not know if I would be purchasing a new or used vehicle because the accident had just happened and I had not begun looking at vehicles yet. I asked to know the amount of the refund versus how much time that would be transferred to another vehicle, which would help me make my future purchase decision. The representative became verbally rude and informed me that I would have to cancel the policy to get that information. I found that hard to believe and was extremly upset at how rude this person could be and asked to speak to a supervisor. She refused several times, but after arguing with her that was my right as a customer, I was advised none were available and she would have one call me back. After 48 hours and no one called me back, I contacted customer service again. Instead I received a notice saying I had cancelled the policy which I had not done. I immediately contacted customer service and once again told that a manager would call me back within 24 hours. Again, no one called me back. I would never recommend this company simply based on their poor customer service. This experience showed me that thy are only interested in selling the product, not servicing the customer. Lastly, even though they "cancelled" the policy, I still have to write in that I want it cancelled so that I can receive a refund that I continue to have no idea of how much it will be or how the amount will be calculated. Given their performance, this looks more like a scam than a reputable business to me.

I purchased an extended warranty for a vehicle I own. All of the repairs needed were not covered. I called to cancel my contract with the company and encountered a very poor experience. I was verbally hasseled and harassed by the representative for over 30 minutes. The representative would not allow me to cancel my contract and continued to be very rude. The representative stated I was "wasting my money if I canceled and that is dumb". Upon completion of my call I was still unable to cancel my contract. The representative told me to call back in a month and that they would charge me for this month. I am very unsatisfied with this company and its service. I do not advise anyone to use them.

I was contacted May 2014 about a protections plan for my car. I listened and decide that it might be a good thing. As I listened I had second thoughts and ask to not proceed with the application. I told them that I would call back if I changed my mind. Two months later I see a withdrawal from my account for the plan from Ominsure. I called and told the rep that I wanted it stopped as of that dated. The Rep wanted my account Number and I told him I could not give him that cause I did not have a plan with them. Oh he said he would get the plan to me right away. AGAIN I said I DO NOT WANT this plan. He said he would give me November free to think about it and I told him I DID NOT WANT the plan and hung up. December 5 I called again to remind them that I did want the plan and to cancel the account. Sure enough on the 22nd of December they withdrew another 104.81 from my account. I called and was informed that in order to get a refund(prorated) that I needed to send a letter saying that I no longer wanted the service and have it notarized with the correct miles on the car. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and this company is a nightmare to deal with.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/11/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My reply is to restate my letter. I was never sent nor signed any contract nor any service agreement so any "pro-rated" refund is tantamount to fraud over interstate lines which deems this situation viable for the US Secret Service to investigate as well as the [redacted], and it is already being forwarded to the Illinois Attorney General's Office.
Secondly I have received no refund at all at this point via check which is the only way I can receive it because the credit card used for the payments has been canceled due to Identity theft of the numbers from [redacted] records. I suspect that an excuse will be made up by one of the parties to delay any payment and that once again this is a case of fraud through solicitation via inter-state mail which again is under the jurisdiction of the[redacted] the Postmaster Inspector General and the [redacted].
Third the mileage used for any "pro-ration" is mileage that was driven fo the most part before any payments were made once again setting up a fraud situation. I will remove my complaint and stop any efforts if all of my funds are received by me that were paid.
I will await my refund and if and when it is received I will act accordingly.

Once I refer back to my initial letter and also point to my most recent reply for further information. These businesses share the same staff I think and there are so many anomolies that I have forwarded all of the evidence to several relevant and interested Law Enforcement agencies. All of you staffers are complicit in several felonies and also have no conscience. I defer to Revdex.com to post this and I retain the right to post all relevant documentation on the WWW and Facebook to protect people from these mail fraud sharks...

Let me...

begin by clarifying the relationship between Omnisure Group, LLC ("Omnisure") and [redacted] Omnisure is the payment plan provider for the vehicle service contract sold to [redacted] by [redacted] As the payment plan provider, we are not involved with anything related to the marketing or sale of the vehicle service contract, payment or denial of claims, refunds to the customer, or anything else related to the vehicle service contract itself. The [redacted] is an association that governs the vehicle service contract industry and ensures that member companies are compliant with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. We encourage all consumers to visit the VPA website (vpanet.org) for more information.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/06/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
While your response is carefully worded to avoid the nature of my complaint and judging from the similar disclaimers in the 100+ complaints against Omnisure (and thousands of combined complaints against the marketing firms for which Omnisure makes money) the facts are that you condone their marketing practices.
Omnisure works hand in hand with Revdex.com C- companies which earned their rating via exposed scams, immoral business practices and outright fraudulent misinformation. Omnisure personnel surely do not live in such isolation as to be able to claim innocence from the misdeeds of their many marketing firms. Dealing with business' who "earn" C- Revdex.com ratings is NOT "committed to the values of excellence and integrity".
Let me make it simple.
The marketing firms lie, misdirect, and con elderly and misinformed consumers into purchasing needless products for outrageous prices. Omnisure accepts these practices by profiting from their actions. If a thief robs a grandmother on the street, stealing her purse, then takes the stolen money to their buddy who pockets a share...both are guilty.
THAT is the relationship Omnisure has with their "marketing" partners.
Your response to this complaint ignores the issue and attempts to gloss over the problems which have been evident for years (just pull the Revdex.com files on ALL your marketing buddies and perhaps review the ones against Omnisure). These are not misunderstandings. These complaints (which likely represent only a small number of the total customers who have had similar experiences and have not bothered to contact the Revdex.com) are consistent with the worst practices in business. Yes, snake oil salesmen have been around for centuries. [redacted] is the salesman on stage at the sideshow....Omnisure is behind the curtains collecting and profiting from the spoils.

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2014/07/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Perhaps I can assist Ms Robinson in her Compliance Specialist duties by suggesting the proper response to this issue, (which would be drafted by a company TRULY interested in the well-being of their clients):
"We have reviewed your experience and those of the hundreds of clients victimized by Vehicle Protection Center and have set a new guideline that all of our marketing companies adhere to the industry's best practices which include a Revdex.com rating of A or above. Merely being compliant with the laws which require our marketers to return funds fraudulently obtained from unsuspecting victims in a certain time frame is not sufficient.
Effective immediately, we are suspending all relationships with our bad business practice marketers who cannot earn the Revdex.com rating."
True, you may have no marketers left but nothing you have said or done in your responses indicate the acknowledgement that Omnisure will ever change their practice of preying upon the uneducated, the elderly and confused while pursuing their practices of denial and attempted misdirection from the facts. Your marketers and their methods are those of con artists. By profiting from C- rated firms, you are no better.

I was only with their policy for two weeks. My experience was horrible. When I called to cancel and be reimbursed, the customer service representative Ken was very rude and unprofessional. It took way too long to cancel and towards the end I asked a simple question about when I would receive my money back and he replied "you should do your homework". I would not recommend this company to anybody.

I had previously had an account with them and cancelled it. They called me to reinstate the policy and locked in a new price and wanted to run my card before I could talk to my significant other he insisted on running my card and taking my new card information he even raised his voice at me. Buisnesses should not pressure customers.
