Optics Fast Inc Reviews (253)

Review: I sent a pair of glasses to OpticsFast for repair on June [redacted], 2013. Opticsfast took my payments of $22.95 on June [redacted] (for return shipping pmt) and $105.98 on June [redacted], (for repair costs) then apparently lost my glasses. More than 6 weeks have passed since I sent them the glasses. Their explanations, and promises, all documented in emails, to reimburse me the payments (no mention of the replacement costs) change with every communication. I would not be surprised if OpticsFast is a fraudulent operation, with no actual service to provide, other than taking credit card payments.Desired Settlement: Return of my glasses and refund of the moneys paid or refund of moneys paid plus reimbursement of the cost I paid for the glasses

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Optics Fast Inc regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Sincerely,

I sent my broken glasses to Optics Fast to have the hinge repaired. After almost a month they finally returned the glasses with the hinge still broken and just some globs of glue covering the ends of the 2 pieces where they should be attached (but were not). After speaking to the "customer service" reps they made it clear that they have no concern about the quality of the repairs that are done for them by a contracted out lab that is paid a flat rate per repair. Even though they showed that they are incapable of repairing the glasses properly they would not refund the cost of the repair attempt, let alone compensate for the additional damage to met glasses. They are either incompetent or crooks, possibly both.

Review: I sent 2 pair of sunglasses to OpticsFast in June. It was several weeks later in July I finally received an email stating they have received my sunglasses and in order to assess them I needed to pay $14.95. My credit card was billed $14.95 on July **. I then received another email several weeks later stating they've assessed the glasses and it would be $59.99 each to repair plus tax. Thus my credit card was billed on Aug ** for $125.88. It's now September ** and I've left 3 voice mails and sent 2 emails. I spoke with [redacted] at OpticsFast and she said they should ship last this week or early next (what the 'lab' told her)….Desired Settlement: I want my sunglasses repaired and sent to me within the next week. If not, I want sunglasses returned (broken is fine) and all charges refunded.

[Your Answer Here]

I emailed business. THey responded 3 weeks ago saying my 2 pair of sunglasses would be mailed to me 3 weeks ago that their lab was behind schedule. Still no sunglasses. I emailed ago last week and told them to simply return my broken sunglasses. They said they cannot because they are already at the lab for repair. THis company charged my account in August for this repair and has yet to do the repair or send them back to me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Optics Fast Inc regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I did chargeback the charges through my credit card company. As the company had my sunglasses (2 pair) for 3-4 months, then sent them back in the same bag I sent them to them and neither were repaired AT ALL. Both pair had their arms still broken off.

Sincerely,

Review: November **,2014

Ladies and Gentlemen:

on August **, 2013, I ordered a pair of sunglaases from opticsfast.com. 152.24, charged to my credit card. I received an email from them a few days later saying there was a problem and could they send me a different pair, I said no thank you. At this same time our credit card was used fraudulently and we had to change our card. I did not realize that optics fast had charged me for the sunglasses since they were never sent.

On April **, 2014i called them and spoke to [redacted], she stated they needed to request a check be sent because they could not credit it back to a closed account. I called March [redacted], 2014 spoke to [redacted] again she stated that a check had not been issued and asked if she could give me something else, I said no I want my money back. She stated that she would request a check be sent out.

I called May *, 2014 and spoke to [redacted] she looked and said that no check had been issued and asked me if I could choose another product I said no. [redacted] gave me her email, [redacted] I called and emailed from June through July. I looked and found sunglasses on October *, 2014 , and emailed [redacted] and said can I order this, and again October *, 201t. [redacted] emailed me October *, 2014 stating "I will look into it and get back to you with status". October **, 2014 I emailed [redacted] stating any news?. October ** received email from [redacted] "sorry for the delay Our vendor was closed due to the Jewish Holiday. They are sending our orders to us as fast as they can this week . Once we get them and check them we will ship the glasses to you. You will get an email with tracking # when they are ready to ship to you."

there were alog more conversations and emails but these are the highlights.Desired Settlement: I really just want my money back I have never received a thing from this company, and was chargec 152.24

Review: They did not have my glasses in stock after I paid for them in full I have been waiting for a refund since [redacted] of December I am tired of emailing them for my money They owe me 282.02$ since the [redacted] of December I have been waiting and 3 different people have put in a refund and still have not gotten it I dont know if I should wait a few more days what can I do?Desired Settlement: They need to refund me not my fault there glasses are discontinued

Consumer

Response:

They did refund me the 207.02$ in the account that was resolved but I do not want in store credit for the 75$ because I dont want to deal with any more problems of ordering glasses. I paid them credit I would like my refund of the 75$ back to. They have great items but its not worth the hassle of me ordering again and and them always being discontinued all the time.

Review: I sent my glasses in November 2012 for repair. Received the sunglasses in January 2013 and in early February the sunglasses broke again - same repair. I spoke to someone who advised me they had computer issues thus they were experience delays in response time. She noted my record and advised me to submit a specific note with details and my glasses will be repaired under warranty. I sent in my glasses and never received them back. I have called, left messages, emailed and have received no response. I am told someone will call me back but they don't. The last time I called I was told [redacted] would call me back and received no call back. I have been calling and emailing monthly since February with no response.Desired Settlement: Repair of my sunglasses and store credit for the months of no response and aggravation.

Review: May **, 2013 I ordered prescription DriveWare lenses from OpticsFast.com. They advertised that for an extra 19.99 they would expedite the order. That brought my total to 379.97. Opticsfast promptly withdrew this 379.97 from my account on June *, 1013, not when the order shipped as I had expected. I did not complain about this early withdrawal because they had my frames which are expensive. OpticsFast.com advertised "DriveWare" lenses. I sent my frames and prescription accordingly. I paid for expedited services but it was 38 days before I heard from them. Upon opening thefirst thing I noticed was the lenses were clear which immediately let me know I had been tricked. DriveWear lenses never turn clear. I notified OpticsFast at [redacted] of this grave concern (DriveWare lens was crucial to the order). I sent several emails and received several responses from [redacted] telling that I was wrong and that the shipment was "DriveWare." I offered to no avail to take pictures of the lenses which are clear and clearly not DriveWare. I also asked for a refund as I have to now pay to have the glasses done elsewhere. At this point [redacted] accused me of trying to con them and stopped responding to my emails. The promise from Optics Fast, Inc was to provide prescriptioned "DriveWare" Lenses in my own frames. Instead they switched the product and used clear plastic lenses. Bottom line is OpticsFast charged my account for DriveWare while knowingly sending me a much cheaper lenses followed by pretending not to know what I am talking about.Desired Settlement: Optics Fast violated their sales agreement by switcing regular lenes instead of DriveWare. I now have lenses in my new frames I have no use for. Optics Fast should refund my money.

Sincerely,

Review: Company advertised low cost eyeglass repair. Gave me a quote of $70+ to replace a simple hinge after I paid 22.00 to ship. Target Optical told me they repair for 30 dollars (hinge and service)!!! I declined the estimate and asked for return of my broken glasses. Costumer Service rep "Becky" will not tell me how to get my unrepaired glasses back.Desired Settlement: These costs should be advertised upfront and clarity on process when service/estimate declined.

Also found many reviews similar to my own experience after the fact on the web. This is not a reputable company!

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. Additional note: Only after company was contacted directly by the Revdex.com, did they respond to my request to decline their quote and service. Also, I was finally informed I had to pay a penny to have my broken glasses returned me. Thank you Revdex.com for your assistance in resolving this matter!!!

Sincerely,

Review: I didn't check reviews before proceeding to utilize this company to have a minor repair performed on a pair of my glasses. I really wish I would have.

They claimed the job would take 10 days, MAX. It has now been 2.5 months.

I am additionally waiting for a $10 reimbursement - they overcharged me. I haven't heard back in 2.5 months if/when this will happen.

Almost every representative I communicated with made me feel like I was being a jerk.

I've emailed them continuously and have waited up to 10 days for responses. I've used their online form to contact them. I've used their Call Back option in hopes of talking to a real person. I've left several messages, as I cannot get through to a real person - only voicemail.

I've had to purchase an additional pair of glasses because this is taking so long.

A representative today told me they cannot issue a reimbursement because my cc isn't the same - its the same #, just a new card as the old one expired. She offered me a credit with the company...I don't want anything more to do with this place.

For the first time in my life, I will be hand writing a letter of complaint.

I'm completely disgusted.Desired Settlement: To be treated with some sort of respect, and as a result of their poor form get a full refund.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a pair of frames from OpticsFast four weeks ago (10/**/13) and have still not received them. I was charged for them over two weeks ago, and I have received NO shipping notification or answers from customer service as to where my frames are. I called after one week and was told to "give it a couple more days", and then I called and left two messages during week three and four, and I never received a call back. I emailed their sale office and was told I would have to forfeit 20% of the purchase price if I canceled, even though they reneged on their policy. This is what it says on their website: "Merchandise orders could take up to 72 business hours to ship, but normally do ship the next business day when possible. Most Orders placed after 4pm EST will be processed the following business day, unless certain accomidations are made." Nowhere does it say it could possibly take over a month+ for any product. I should have known better given the spelling errors in the text describing their full shipping policy. Additionally, the page the frames I ordered has a banner on it that says "In stock, ships within 24 hours". I need my glasses, and I cannot wait any additional time for a delivery from this company. I need the full return so I can purchase them from a different company, and I deserve this given the fact that this company did not keep their word.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the $199.99 I have been charged for the frames I ordered on Oct. **, 2013. I refuse to forfeit 20% of the purchase price when the company (OpticsFast) did not keep their word. I am not canceling my order because I am unhappy with the frames, or because I do not want them anymore, but because of the unexplainable amount of time between the date of order (10/**/13) and today.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by OpticsFast Inc regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I did send another message to them on December *, 2013, and asked them to confirm that they canceled my order as requested and that they refunded my money. I told them to respond to my email and that I would update this Revdex.com complaint. I have heard nothing from them and have not received my refund.

Sincerely,

Review: Website initially quoted free return ground shipping. Subsequent web page required $12.00 payment for return shipping before even receiving the sunglasses requiring repair. Two pair of sunglasses were mailed to them via USPS with a check for return shipping. I have received emails indicating that OpticsFast has not received the package I mailed.Desired Settlement: Return the sunglasses to me.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! In addition to being very slow, they ruined my glasses that I sent in. When I attempted to communicate with customer service, "Dino" was confrontational and rude and did not even attempt to fix the problem-instead he gave me complete attitude. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ...And a wasted $120!!!!!!

Review: This company has kept my [redacted] Sunglasses for approximately five months now. It has been so long, I forgot they even had my glasses! They charged me a $14 fee to send them in and for return shipping. The price they quoted me for repair was completely outrageous and I might as well just buy a new pair. I told them that and so they said to me how much was I looking to pay for the repair. I said around $50 because they are not that expensive in the first place so anything above that is not going to be worth my while. They did not even bother to reply, much less attempt to negotiate, They have just kept my sunglasses for all this time. Not so much as a reminder, notification or attempt to send them back! I am wondering if they are planning to just keep them permanently in the hope I will forget they are still there. How unprofessional and shady for a company not to reply and just keep your merchandise for this amount of time.Desired Settlement: Considering the amount of time this company has held on to my sunglasses for, the fact that they ignored my emails and have not even bothered to return my sunglasses, I would like my glasses returned and repaired free of charge. In all this time, I could have taken them somewhere else to be fixed. And I prepaid for return shipping.

Review: I ordered some sunglasses from opticsfast.com back in feb.**,2014 on that date they took my money from my card about 350.00 dollars but Never sent my glasses I would email them and they would just send me the order number through email but they never sent me a tracking number. They would just make excuses. I can try and foward you my emails from back in april when I would ask for sunglasses. At one point I asked for my money back through email because it had been alot of months without receiveing my glasses they never responded to my request about wanting my money back. To this date it has been about nine months since they took my money but never received my order. At this point I dont even want the glasses anymore just want the exact amount they took from my card it is the least they could do for there false advertisement about being fast and for there horrible service due to the fact that it has been 9 months and no designer sunglasses. I ask if you could help me to force them to give my money back if this cannot be possible could you do your best to shut down there website it is a total scam they are thieves takeing the money from hard working people like myself.Desired Settlement: I just want the exact amount of money they took from my card. I am Not intrested in the sunglasses anymore because it has been nine months and they never sent me anything. I dont want to ever try and do business with them in my life.

Review: I mailed my Christian Dior prescription glasses for replacement of the crystals on the the temples. I have an email stating that they received my eye wear on August *, 2013 it is now the end of September 2013. They told me it would be a few days or up to two weeks at the most for repairs. I have called and emailed multiple times getting different responses claiming they were done and being polished to I don't know where your glasses are and I'm not going to look for them. The other thing I noticed was that shortly after my order was received I also had bank fraud that happened and were charges based in New York, according to my bank. One erroneous charge was for a men's suit place for $504.00 which I had to write up a dispute for and another pre-authorized charge that was caught by the bank right away for jewelry. I have emailed a letter asking for my glasses with repairs by a date certain and I have had no response to date. I think this company may be quite the scam and it may be related to this material I found doing research on the web:

I started basic and was looking at reviews on several sites when I stumbled onto the actual address, which is listed on [redacted].

Upon finding this alleged address, I went to [redacted] immediately to see if I could see what this place looked like. I found it's a UPS store where you can rent postal boxes. I also noticed that the neighborhood in that area seemed [redacted] or [redacted]. Not judging, just observing.

Next, I found this site: [redacted] The entry that specifically got my attention was this one: [redacted]

With this comment below it:

[redacted] SBID #[redacted] Posted 05/**/2013

Optics Fast is a front for [redacted]. If you're unfamiliar with the name, read the series of [redacted] articles about him. Optics Fast was incorporated three days before [redacted] was arrested in Dec. 2010 and is running all the same scams on unsuspecting consumers. There may be a window of time left to dispute the charge with your bank. Let it AND your card company know that on your behalf they should not enable this scam activity.

Here is what I read about [redacted]:

I am now really wondering if my bank fraud was due to this place. I felt paranoid so I looked more and found this:

Date Occurred: 07/**/2013

Reported Damages: $0.00

These people are [redacted]. I submitted an order and received numerous attempts of fraud charges on my credit card. They essentially took my credit card number and tried to buy jewelry. Needless to say, I caught this in time because I have a fraud alert service on my credit card and my cc company called me when they knew I probably wasn't buying jewelry in NYC. Busted.

Stay away!

I had jewelry charges that were part of my fraud but they were caught in time and were never charged to my account. The ones that went thru and I ended up getting my money back were for men's suits, also in NY.

I think I am going to report this to my bank and hopefully they can prosecute them. That was solidified when I found this: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the service I paid for and that was advertised. If I do not receive this I am considering launching a larger probe. If this company is found to be related to my research above, it is my request that they be shut down. I have had neck pain from wearing old glasses for months with an outdated prescription because of this.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Optics Fast Inc regarding complaint ID [redacted]. However, I have been since contacted by my bank who has continued investigation in to this matter independently. It appears that a man named [redacted], a possible employee there, has stolen my credit card number. This person potentially works for Optics Fast Inc. I have the documentation which is attached. He is located in / near Brooklyn not far from the company in question. I still need to file a police report regarding this now that I know the actual person. I believe that this business is potentially a front for criminal activities.

Sincerely,

Review: On 9.**.13 Ordered a pair of glasses. Rep for the company told me delivery is usually in 3 to 7 days with the standard free shipping. I was promised a tracking number as well. Nothing has taken place other than a lot of false promises. I have no product and I have no tracking number. I asked for a cancelation. I was told I have to pay 20 percent to cancel. That's not right, they are the ones not upholding the web site and verbal promise concerning delivery of the goods. I have emails documenting the false promises.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of unfulfilled order and no cancellation charges

Review: Since May **,2013 sent my Expensive Sun Glasses to be repair by this business. Received confirmation from USPS on my Priority Overnight package that was indeed delivered 5/**/2013 0945am. Opticsfast keeps advising my package has not been received and I already pay them for the return charges. No estimate on repair has ever been done as they CANT FIND MY $600.00 Glasses Have over +30 emails on the matter. Unable to get a Name-last name to address and still the same response.Desired Settlement: At this point I wish to either get my glasses back without repair or a refund for an equal type.

Review: I placed the order number [redacted] on may [redacted] 2013 for a pair of Tiffany 4053b sunglasses. This pair is advertised on their website as "in stock, ships within 24 hours". Three weeks later and multiple phone calls to the customer service I still did not have my sunglasses. Every week i'd hear different lies from them: sunglasses are shipping on Friday, then on Monday, then on next Monday; they are being shipped directly from Tiffany, they are being shipped from one of the vendors and so on. On june [redacted] 2013 I got tired of calling them and listening to new lies and told them I wanted to cancel the order. The customer rep said i'd be charged 20% cancellation fee even if the item was not shipped and even though they did not follow through their own policies of "ship within 24 hours" item that is "in stock". At that point I thought this company was running some kind of scam as they din't have the products advertised and only made money on cancellation fees. My credit card was charged almost three weeks after the order was placed and within couple business days of that the same credit card had a fraud charge from "Kenon polarized". When I called OpticsFast customer service thinking this might be their vendor, customer rep confirmed that "some other customer called with the same issue". So now I knew that my credit card number was also stolen because of opticsfast.com. As of today, july [redacted] 2013 , I still did not receive my sunglasses. I have no communication from opticsfast.com regarding my order either as I stopped calling them.Desired Settlement: Full refund
