consistently requesting the client to provide us with pertinent information
that was critical to his caseAlthough the client did provide us with some of
the requested information, the remainder was either not provided or was

*** *** *** Once again Optima is attempting to deflect their dishonest behavior unto usWe are not denying that when we contacted Optima that we owed the IRS and that our past due taxes were active for collectionWhenever you owe the IRS you are active for collections that's why were in a payment plan which initially Optima was denyingThere were no garnishments or liens against us despite how Optima is trying to spin this situationAfter the initial assessment which cost $995, the sales rep *** was so anxious to get the remaining money that even after being told not to charge to the credit card on file, he disregarded what I said and charge my cardI had to dispute with my credit card company to get them to quickly re-creditEven while waiting for the credit to occur *** was asking for the other card so he could chargeI told him no, not until after the other card had been re-creditedOnce again let me reiterate that the only thing Optima did was file taxes which resulted in a small refund which Optima is trying to take credit forOptima did not negotiate anything with the IRS for us to get that refundEven though email correspondence from Optima said someone would contact us about the different programs Optima offered, no one ever did and whenever we requested information about the different programs our questions went unansweredWhat we did received was a rep who we had to verbally fight with in order to be heard and whose only interest was to get us to sign an agreement so she could hustle us along like a car on a assembly lineBoth ***, *** and *** were asked about the programs and none of them would be truthful with usThey were all evasive*** was asked by both my husband and myself about making a "lump sum" payment to the IRS and her response was "you have to sign the agreement before any further discussions about programs would take place"Once we sign the agreement we could never reach *** anymorePhone calls and messages were never returnedThe only call was *** who said she was closing our accountThis is what Optima expects consumers to pay for and tolerateIf this type of business conduct isn't deceitful, dishonest and unethical then I don't know what is. his complaint, Optima’s services are separated into a two phase approach,
Investigation and ResolutionAs outlined in our Client Services Agreement, the
client engaged Optima to perform an investigation of his tax liabilityAfter
we completed a thorough investigation, we presented him with our findings and
the proposed services that we could provide in our second phase, the resolution
phaseThose services in no way indicated a guaranteed reduction in his
liabilityOptima makes it a top priority to ensure that reasonable
expectations are set with all of our clients and inform the client that we do
not make any promises or guarantees in regards to a specific outcomeThe
balance in question remained the same from the time the client initially
contacted Optima TaxFurthermore, as explained to the client, interest and
penalties will continue to accrue until the balance is paid in fullWhen our
Closing Department reached out to the client on January 22, we had informed
him that Optima successfully resolved his case and we went over the services
providedThe completed services were inline with the Resolution Addendum
Agreement executed on February 5, The Resolution Addendum Agreement
clearly and definitively explains all services to be rendered by OptimaAdditionally,
we explained to the client that if the client had certain documentation he
could provide to Optima to submit to the IRS this would strengthen his case and
he could have received a substantial reductionHowever, because the client was
unable to locate this documentation we had no choice but to accept what the IRS
was reporting

regrettable that the client is not satisfied with the end result of his case
Although we strategize to reduce our client’s liability, ultimately the IRS has
the final sayUltimately, Optima Tax has fully represented the client as promised

collect and submit to the IRS in order to finalize his auditTherefore, some
of the requested documents can be repetitive, which is a result of the IRS requesting
the client’s most updated financial situationThis is very common with the IRS
as they want to be sure that any resolution agreed upon is within their
guidelinesMoreover, we have to provide substantiation to the IRS of any items
on the client’s scheduled write offs in order to be acceptedAfter educating
the client on the overall process, he understands that an audit is time

by Optima Tax to fully assess the client’s current tax situation and Phase Two
is the Resolution Phase whereby Optima Tax provides services to the client to
help address his identified tax issuesUpon the client’s enrollment into our
Investigation Phase he was thoroughly informed that there will be a secondary fee
for the Resolution Phase and that fee is based off the complexity of his case

resolved all issues raised by the consumerRESPONSE - As the consumer stated, he did unsubscribe from receiving email marketing pieces from Optima Tax offering services to the consumerThe consumer recently unsubscribed on April 27, and since then we have confirmed that they are taken off emailing lists and will no longer receive any further emailsIt typically takes ten (10) days for the unsubscribe request to sync with the mailing databases to remove the email address and ensure the requesting party does not receive any further emailsWe apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused the consumer and we are glad to have fully addressed their concerns and rectify the situation

My experience with Optima has been incredibly pleasantI highly recommend their services to anyone who may need themThey negotiated a favorable deal for me, and surpassed my expectations by keeping the lines of communication openThroughout the entire process I was kept informed and received guidance from Optima while never having to actually deal with the IRS myself
In short, I'm very satisfied with my service and recommend them for whoever may need help dealing with the IRS

Problem: I filed a complaint with you about a month ago and they were all over it and did just enough to stop the complaintThey ensured me that they would deliver on the services that I paid for and I have no paid the full amount$Since they took the balance I have sent many e-Mails (I have all copies) with NO/ZERO replyThe process is that once I pay they send me some documents for me to complete - then they negotiate with the IRS on my behalfAs of today - I have received nothing since they took the final payment of $which was their "excuse" for not doing what they promised the first time aroundI also have no reason to believe that they will stop the next levy, another service they said they would provideThis whole process is a scam and they do just enough to keep their Revdex.com rating - NO MORE.Desired Outcome: 100% refund, not "we did some work we are going to keep X%" - or - do what they promised to do when they took my money

They have NOT provided any service to me. They have over $of my money and have done NOTHING to earn that money. They refuse to refund that money. Nothing in our previous conversations ever alluded to the fact that they would collect as much money as I would pay and not return any services. In my opinion this is FRAUD. This also should reflect poorly on the Revdex.com accreditation they have. By Optima collecting money from me and not providing any service, they have placed me a very difficult situation. I expected the refund in order to find a reputable company that would actually provide the service that I pay for, now I am out this money and cannot afford to pay yet another company. It appears Optima is preying on individuals they know need support with the IRS, taking their money and not providing anything in return. It amazes me that the IRS would even do business with such a company. Let me say they "offered" to refund $but as soon as they knew that I notified the Revdex.com about their shady business practices, they pulled that offer off the table and told me I had damaged their company AND have refused to respond to any contacts I have attempted to make Isn't that the kettle calling the pot black? This is just one of many, many "like" complaints against this company. They are ripping off people who need helpThey are not reputable, they are NOT concerned about their clients, they are only concerned about profiting from those in need. This will not be settled until I have a full refund so that I can go elsewhere to have a reputable company assist with my IRS problem. I will also report their practices to the Director of the IRS and anyone in any capacity that might stop this company from continuing on this path of ripping people off. I was listening to a popular radio station, of course a reliable actor/talk show host was talking about how reputable Optima Tax Relief was and if you owe the IRS, this company is the one to help you out of your debtI was like really gun hole and knew that Optima would be able to help us from the get go, HUGE mistakeWhen I contacted Optima in May 2014, the Client Service Representative, really nice and wanting to help with the problems that we are having with the IRSThen after several weeks went back, a Senior Tax Associate contacted meThey informed me that it's going to take 6-months for this process to be completesThey told me that there is a - step process that we would have to go through before they would come up with an answer from the IRSI was really a SUCKER for listeningThe amount of money that we paid for the Investigation stage could had been paid to the IRS - 10K is what we paid them for nothing, but a bunch of big talk and I felt for itI have been looking over all the great reviews, not knowing if they are real people or just actors to bring in customersEveryone was very friendly that I spoke to over the phone, this is how they get you hook to continue to do business with themWe still owe the IRS over 62K and have been paying monies to them over the last several yearsYou can image how much we started out owing the IRSThey even told us that the IRS would probably give us a fresh start - like a forgiveness!!! client’s case are contingent upon the client’s cooperation and involvementThe
complexity of a tax payer’s case also plays a significant roll in how long it
may take for their case to be resolvedAfter reviewing the calls Optima Tax
had with the client we believe there were simple misunderstandings that took
placeUnfortunately, the client has decided to move in a different direction,
but we are pleased to say that we were able to come to a mutually satisfying

Prior to the client filing his complaint with the Revdex.com, Optima Tax Relief’s management made contact with the client in order to address his refund request, his concerns regarding his case, as well as options we were able to present himUnfortunately before we had an opportunity to discuss all of these matters, he abruptly ended the callThereafter, the client became non-responsive to the many attempts we’ve made to contact himContrary to the client’s allegations, Optima Tax immediately went to work upon the client engaging our servicesUnfortunately, the IRS has placed a Revenue Officer on the client’s case, which means it’s in the highest level of collectionsAs such, our staff immediately made multiple attempts to reach the Revenue Officer so that we could prevent any collection activityHowever, the Revenue Officer proved to be unresponsive to all of our attemptsWe are disappointed that the client feels as though we have not performed a service for himWe will continue our efforts in making contact with the client to explain the actions we have taken and more importantly, come to a mutual resolve
