need to be more transparent about our Resolution FeesWhen we were in contact
with the client initially, however, it was clearly explained to the client that
Optima Tax’s services are broken down into two phases, an Investigation Phase
and the Resolution PhaseThe client acknowledged our two phase approach that
required two separate fees
The
client had hired our service for the Investigation Phase only and accordingly,
we have delivered what was promised to the client in a timely manner. After the Investigation Phase, it was
determined that due to the large amount of taxes he owed to the IRS and his unfortunate
failure to resolve his liability in a timely manner, his case was going to be a
complex one
When we
had presented our findings to the client and the proposed fees for the
Resolution Phase, the client reneged on his previous understanding of our
process. Client’s frustration may have
come down to an affordability issue, however, since the client has not returned
our calls or emails, we have not been able to discuss the matter furtherSince
we have sufficiently provided our services and the client has been unresponsive
to our calls, we have no choice but to consider the case closed in good
standing

there were multiple resolutions that may apply to the client’s unresolved tax
situationOur client agreed to continue services with Optima Tax and pursue
the resolutions presented to herDue to some changes in her retirement plans,
Optima Tax had to revise its’ original strategy, which Optima Tax believed was
presented to the client in detailOptima Tax’s staff was under the impression
that the client understood and was in agreement with the changed strategy whereby
Optima Tax would continue its resolution efforts upon notification of her
retirementUnfortunately, there seems to have been a misunderstanding
regarding our strategy, which prompted the client to file a complaintAs a
good faith gesture and without admitting any wrong doing, Optima Tax provided
the client with a partial refund of her fees

stated, he hired Optima Tax Relief to represent him before the IRSWhile representing a client before the IRS, the IRS will require specific documentation be presented to themTherefore, Optima Tax must request the client to provide these specific documents to us, which are in the client’s possession, in order for Optima Tax to negotiate the best possible resolution In addition, the IRS will also require that the taxpayer be fully compliantTherefore, this means that all tax returns must be filed before the IRS will consider establishing a resolutionWhen the client hired Optima Tax, he had five unfiled tax yearsAlthough the client did provide Optima Tax with certain financial documents, he failed to send in the tax returns that were prepared on his behalfThere were multiple conversations and emails between Optima Tax and the client requesting that he send in the signatures pages so we may resolve his caseTo date, we have not received the signature pages Moreover, our agreement clearly outlines the services Optima Tax will provideThose services do not include bookkeepingThe client was provided the agreement before Optima Tax withdrew the initial paymentFurthermore, before the services began the client went through a voice recorded Verification Call that covers all legal disclosures, including the services that is outlined in the Servicing AddendumAfter reviewing the Verification Call, the client confirmed and acknowledged all legal disclosures including the services Optima Tax will provideAgain, those services did not include bookkeeping At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophyWe take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possibleOptima Tax believes it has addressed the client's concerns however, the client does not agree with our assessment even though they have admitted to not sending in the required tax returnsPlease do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questionsThank you

The clients assigned Tax Associate is more than capable in fully relaying the
information we obtain from the IRS to the clientFurthermore, a Tax
Professional will not be assigned to his case until he enrolls into our
Resolution phaseIt is unfortunate the client took our email correspondence as
threatening; it is our job as his representative to convey all information to
him in a timely fashion and clearly express the urgency in resolving his case to
avoid any enforcement actions by the IRS Information we obtain and gathered during the
client’s Investigation Phase is crucial and thus, it is very important that we conduct
a thorough investigation as to the status of his liabilityThe client expressed
that he was already made aware of some of the information we provided as a
result of our investigationAlthough this may be the case, it does not take
away from the need for us to conduct a thorough investigation because given our
experience, a client’s tax liability can and will change almost dailyMore so,
if the client happened to be in collections we would then have an opportunity
to negotiate a stay of enforcement while we gather important documentation to
assist in resolving the liability as a whole and assist the client in avoiding
compounding tax issuesAdditionally, during our investigation we gather all
the set conditions the IRS has to help formulate a strategy to resolve the
client’s caseThe
complexity of the client’s case will determine the cost of our Resolution

In August, , my company filed an initial complaint with Revdex.com regarding Optima Tax Relief, After speaking with the, Manager of Executive Relations, on 08/13/and 08/21/he assured me that moving forward there would be prompt responses regarding questions and updatesHe requested to be copied on emails to the case manager to ensure she followed up accordinglyHorizon decided to continue to move forward with Optima, with the promise from the Manager of Executive Relations that Optima would keep us updated with progress of the caseOn 9/8/my company received another intent to levy which was immediately emailed to OptimaThe request was made that if Optima was unable to make contact with IRS by 9/12/to advise my officeAt that time the Manager responded by requesting the case manager get with the attorney to avoid additional levy actionOn 9/11/14, we requested an update by COB regarding the progressOn 9/26/(two weeks later), still no responseOn 9/26/14, after receiving a final notice from IRS, we made a second request for an updateThe case manager finally called and said she would upload the case file for the attorney's reviewMy company made another request for a progress update on 10/9/The case manager called back in the afternoon and left a message with the answering serviceMy manager reached out to her immediately but there was no response from Optima until 10/20/This response occurred after an email was sent requesting an immediate responseThe case manager said the attorney had contacted IRS three times with no call backShe stated she would speak with the attorney to see if he could contact meThat never occurred so on 10/21/14, I made the decision to cancel my services and Power of Attorney with OptimaAfter months, I feel that Optima does not have the credibility with IRSI also requested a full or partial refundSince notifying Optima of my decision and request, there has been no response
In terminating my case, I am requesting documentation of where Optima has last left off with IRSAdditionally I am requesting a full or partial refund of the money they have been paid

They helped me clear up a$9,tax debt to the I.R.SA big burden was lifted off my shoulders The people who helped me were very professional They also explained everything that I did not understand
