In order to provide further insight in response to the client’s complaint, on June 1, 2016, Optima Tax fully explained to the client the resolution that it had established for the client as outlined in the Client Services AddendumIn addition, Optima Tax informed the client that her case would be sent over for a complementary review to ensure that the resolution Optima established was the best possible outcome for the clientThe internal review promptly commenced on June 2, Although our typical turnaround time is business days for such review, the circumstances of each case will dictate the overall length of the review processAlthough Optima Tax did not respond within the original business days, the client has been presented with the facts of her case and the outcome that Optima Tax achieve as outlined in the agreement

I had some past Federal tax situations that I needed help with I had heard about Optima Tax Relief on the Mark Levin radio broadcast I gave them a call and was immediately talking with a gentleman that was very business like, but also I felt that he cared about making sure I felt at ease, and that I was in good hands He asked me a series of questions for a basic check to make sure they could help me After it was determined Optima could help with my situations the process started
During the time it took to go through the many steps to insure that every “T” was crossed and “i” dotted I talked with several different people at Optima that handled different parts of my situations Dealing with the IRS on behalf of anyone like myself that needs help can not be easy, but these people did an outstanding, professional job Every time a question came to my mind or I wanted to check on the status of one of the steps the process was going through the people at Optima were very quick to return my phone call, or email, but the majority of the time I was immediately put in touch with my case worker At times when my case worker wasn’t available at the time the person I was talking with was extremely helpful and took care of my inquiries, if they could, or insure my case worker would get back to me by the next day, which they always did
Everyone I talked with at Optima was always very pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and put me at ease during that very trying time During the whole process it took for Optima to work with me, and the IRS to bring to a finalized solution, I really felt that they totally cared about getting the best outcome for me, and that they were diligently working towards that end When I got the word from my case worker on what the IRS agreed to I was overjoyed, and I felt that a huge burden was lifted from off my shoulders thanks to these hard working people Optima did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is dealing with IRS problems

• Tax return years showing money owed
• Amount of dollars owed per year
• Not qualified for compromised amount
• Worked out a payment plan on my own with IRS
I called the business and spoke to them if there was more they can help me on after informing them the steps I have already takenThey told me they can but the cost is $to get startedI told the representative my concern is that I pay your business this cost and I end up having to pay the full amount owed plus their feeI was given the impression the business would find more than what I have done on my ownJune 7: After the payment of $was paid, I emailed the representative to ask their status weeks after they sent the docs received emailThe representative replied a day after stating they are in the investigation phaseI explained that I received an IRS letter stating I am late on my paymentThe representative said they should have results in two weeksI received a missed call from the assistant due to work reason on June 30th and an email stating they were wanting to schedule a phone appointment to go over resultsI could not return the call but emailed the assistant if this is something I can write down or call as soos as I am off workI called, twcice I believe, but there was no answer and I left a messageI called the next day to speak to the assistant and in a rude tone, she tells me since I did not speak to her the the day I received the call, the day had to changeOriginally the day was for July 5th But, since I did not speak to her, July 6th was available so I agreed to July 6th at 12:noon to speak with my representative to go over the resultsOn July 6th at 12:00pm, I waited for the callI called the business in 12:10pm to speak to my representative based on our appointmentI left a message for a call back immediately as I took the time off work as scheduledI did not receive a return call so I called the assistant who booked the appointment with meShe did not understand why the representative was not calling me so she proceeded to call tge representative herselfShe comes back to me and informs me the representative is off today and will be back tomorrow with no reasond or no regards to the schedule or my timeI insisted I speak to someone due to the fact I have taken the time to go over the results that I have paid for and was promised the day and and time from the assistant and this businessI finally received a message from the representative that a call would call be on the following dayThe representative did not apologize or give any reasons why this obligation was not fulfilled as promised and disregarded my time and reasons whyAt this time, I wished to cancel the services with business seeing how they treated me and my caseI hired them to help me with my issues with the thoughts of their professionalism, experience and what they told me they could doI feel when I spoke to the representative, the representative was very deligthful and willing to take my case which made feel comfortable after our discussionAfter the payment was made I felt I was forgotten a burden and almost put in line with the rest of the herdI feel I have been taken advantage ofI explained my concern of the charge if it was the same investigation as I have done and the representative assurred me it is notThe representative lied to me after fiding out it was the same exact information that I found onlineThe reason I hired them as I expained to the representative was with the thought “they could do more.” Apparently, they do notI conclusion, I believe this business is a scam that preys on people’s vulnerbility with the having debt to the IRSThey are not upfront with the investigation process of how it doneAll the information you can get online with a social security numberThey do not do anymore than what a person can who doPlease contact me to discuss further if you like

Optima Tax was recommended to me by a friend and I have to admit at first I was very reluctant having seen and heard so many bad things regarding scams ectbut I have been nothing but pleased with this company since the beginning, all of my caseworkers have been helpful, respectful and most of all very much on top of things, the entire process took about month and A LOT of paperwork but it was all so worth it and I was kept informed every step of the way, any question or concern I had was answered immediately , I would recommend Optima Tax to anybody , thank you again guys for the great resolution to my problem, don't know what I would have done without your help and support

Again, there has been no resolution offer madeOptima has maintained that they have fulfilled their bait and switch contractTheir TV ads are miss-leading and all conversations with them are said to be recorded but when asked to get access to these conversations they deny itThe fact is that I hired Optima for there supposed expertise in dealing with these matters and I am out $and now have over $more owed to the IRSThey did not resolve the inaccuracies in the IRS claims and miss lead me into accepting the debt with misleading statements and liesI have taken the filing from Optima to a third party CPA and he confirmed it was not filed correctlyI have asked the IRS to breakdown my debt to highlight that nothing was done by Optmia but take my money and costs me additionally due to their snail pace in this processThis complaint has not been resolved

need to be more transparent about our Resolution FeesWhen we were in contact
with the client initially, however, it was clearly explained to the client that
Optima Tax’s services are broken down into two phases, an Investigation Phase
and the Resolution PhaseThe client acknowledged our two phase approach that
required two separate fees
The
client had hired our service for the Investigation Phase only and accordingly,
we have delivered what was promised to the client in a timely manner. After the Investigation Phase, it was
determined that due to the large amount of taxes he owed to the IRS and his unfortunate
failure to resolve his liability in a timely manner, his case was going to be a
complex one
When we
had presented our findings to the client and the proposed fees for the
Resolution Phase, the client reneged on his previous understanding of our
process. Client’s frustration may have
come down to an affordability issue, however, since the client has not returned
our calls or emails, we have not been able to discuss the matter furtherSince
we have sufficiently provided our services and the client has been unresponsive
to our calls, we have no choice but to consider the case closed in good
standing

By Optima's own admission, they failed to speak to the Revenue officer. Before any contact with the IRS was made, Mr*** requested that Optima contact him. It is on the recording where he spoke to Optima when he signed up. No results were produced and Mr*** notified them to stop any contact the very next business day. The few failed attempts that they made does not warrant the $fee they charged us, nor does a $refund they offered. A satisfactory refund would be $750. If they are willing to refund this amount immediately, Mr*** feels that would be fair to both parties and this matter will be considered resolved satisfactorily

associated with the case correlates with the extensive representation that the

attempts to contact the assigned agent, providing a timeline to this client in
particular was unrealisticAfter speaking with him and reassuring the client that

resolve the client’s case, but our efforts continued to be unsuccessful with the
Revenue OfficerWe can provide our phone records to show our ongoing efforts
to reach the assigned Revenue OfficerMoreover, based off our review it
appears that there were certain IRS stipulations that the client failed to
comply withIn turn, we believe that this is the primary reason why he was
issued with a bank levy

client had mentioned that with one phone call the Revenue Officer picked up and
discussed his caseThis is not surprising, considering he is the tax payer,
because the IRS would rather deal with someone who is not represented by a
professionalIn some cases, a Revenue Officer will use certain tactics
claiming that Optima Tax failed on our
endFact of the matter is, the Revenue Officer never provided us with any
specific time to call herIf she had, we can assure you that a call would have
been madeRegardless, the assigned tax professional still made significant
effort to resolve the client’s caseWe are hopeful that we’ll make contact
with the client soon and more importantly, resolve this unfortunate matter
amicably

I'd highly recommend Optima Tax Relief team to anyone who has issues with dealing with IRS in regards to back taxesThey were sincere and realistic about what they could or could not do from the beginningThroughout the entire process I was able to reach my case manager about concernsMost importantly when I was not able to reach my manager she/he always followed up verbally or via e-mail Each individual's situation is different so one should not expect that your outcome will be that of most claims advertised under most tax relief companiesMy tax issues were resolved, I'm compliant, and on a payment plan that suits my needsThe outcome was realistic for my situationSincere thanks to all case mangers and attorneys at Optima Tax Relief who worked on my case and was able execute a favorable resolution

Sorry - I didn't see this email. Please reopen this case - this is very serious -The matter is NOT resolvedI can write publically on your site what is happening if you need me to reopen online -but basically for your eyes to reopen the file -Optima never applied for financial hardship to try to remove the penalty - I never sent the required form to them (they sent it to me after they closed the file). How could the IRS have rejected it as they stated? This is an outright lieThe refund from was part of an AUDIT - the audit they charged me $15,for. - it certainly was within the time frameThe amended return was mailed to the IRS within years - I should have gotten the refund - they MISSED THIS because of incompetence.Optima doesn't know what they are doing - I am still trying to work with them and they can't seem to figure out what is wrong. See next email - so you can see it's not resolved - they are still trying to figure out what they did wrong.They want me to give them ANOTHER Power of Attorney to contact the IRS - why? They don't know what they are doing - this was botched AND they charged me $15,for NOTHING basically. I could have gotten a payment plan from the IRS or had an accountant do this for less that $15,000!!!Can you please re-open the case?

The service at Optima Tax Relief LLC was great! I always got a call right back if I had questions, and everyone was very nice and understanding that my IRS issues did not reflect on me personally
I got an excellent resolution of my tax debt with the IRSI would recommend Optima to anyone having IRS problems Don't wait -- the sooner you deal with your IRS problem, the sooner it will get resolved and you can move on with your life

his claims as outlined in the complaintDuring our communications, Optima Tax presented
the client with a couple of options in order to reach a mutual resolutionAlthough
it is common for the Internal Revenue Service to issue a lien to protect its
interest in the outstanding liability, the lien that was issued was not due to
the filing of the client’s tax returnsGenerally, once a taxpayer’s tax
liability exceeds a threshold amount, the IRS will issue a lienRemoval of a
tax lien is possible once Optima Tax establishes a resolution on the client’s
behalf
As the
client stated, he previously had a $per month payment plan which
subsequently increased to roughly $per monthUnfortunately, the IRS
rescinded this payment plan because the client had an additional outstanding
balance for tax year It is the IRS’ policy that any subsequent
outstanding balance will void a previous installment agreement Therefore, the cancellation of the previous
installment agreement was unrelated to the filing of the client’s tax
returnDuring our last conversation with the client, he stated that he
contacted the IRS and it confirmed our description of their policy is accurateWe are
truly sorry that the client’s frustrations stem from a misunderstanding of IRS
protocolsAfter informing the client of what will be required to resolve his
case and presenting him with the options we have available, we have the utmost
confidence that we will come to a mutual resolve
