I was contacted by Customer Resolutions Department and was immediately assisted with the cancellation of this contractI was sent and email stating such but have not received itI will continue to look for the email and make certain no further charges are incurredIF for some reason the cancellation has not been processed and or the confirmation email not received I will contact this officeI also was given a sincere apology for this ordeal and I appreciate that too

Protect America, Inchas reviewed the security account pertaining to Mr***. We were unable to locate any records of an email being sent prior to October 22, requesting to cancel services. If this documentation can be provided then we would be more than happy to review
further. At this current time Mr***'s security account has been set to cancel for November 30, This documentation has been provided via email from our cancellation department on October 21,

I am rejecting this response because: The equipment that is in my home for which Protect America has billed and continues to bill for alarm monitoring service is non-functional. It has been non-functional since July, 2016. Protect America was notified when the equipment became non-functional. The solution offered by Protect America was for new equipment with a year commitment for monitoring service for which I rejected. Therefore, Protect America is unable to monitor the alarm in my home as there is not a functioning alarm system in my home for them to monitor. In essence, they are billing while providing no service. Calls were made dating back to July regarding the broken equipment. As to the consumer agreement between Protect America and myself, there has been no written documentation provided by Protect America with my signature that memorializes their position stated. How can I be billed for a service for which a merchant cannot provide? I have the broken equipment which I can send to Revdex.com or submit as evidence should this matter escalate to small claims court. The harassment by this merchant has been overwhelming. If protect America is seeking payment, my only offer is for them to send new, functional equipment for which I will use during a trial period with NO commitment for service. I offer to maintain the service at $per month for the full period of the disputed months being discussed currently which is approximately four (4) months. At that time, I would return the equipment to Protect America with no further commitment for service. The equipment would have to be returned at the expense of Protect America. The response by protect America does not mention anything about monitoring fees when their company is unable to do so due to non-functioning equipment

I am rejecting this response because: Protect America has made claims of a verbal agreement that they could not produce and an electronic agreement that I have disputed to no avail In my attempts to resolve the matter with Protect America, I provided a check with a " Balance Paid In Full" statement that was accepted and cashed by the organization.

I am rejecting this response because: It is a remote installationI thought a monitored security system would be advisable because this was for a vacation homeWell the system evidently can be defeated by shutting the power offI do not plan on making a hour drive to work on a system that was supposed to prevent me from having to worry about itUntil the system is operational again I will not consider this subject closedAs far as I am concerned at this point the system is worthless

I am rejecting this response because:They tried me to contact by phone (the retention department) to offer me $reward to keep the alarm monitoring.How can they offer me a $reward and refuse to refund $that they charged me for a month that I did not use their services and that I cancelled a month in advance?I always paid on time never did anything against Protect America but recommend their services to friend, family members and even the new home owner of my old homeIt is not about the money is about unfair business practices and lying to your customers. I was on month to month basis service contract and I called and cancelled my service in advance.The only way I end this dispute and stop the actions with my lawyer is when I see a refund from Protect America in my bank statement and when they delete my banking and personal information from their system

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received and call from Protect America since I have filed this complaint with Revdex.comThat statement from Protect America is falseI did sign a contract on August 6th and did not cancel after days because I thought as stated in the contract that I was upgrading and going to receive the upgrades of cellular service and a cameraAs of December 17th I have not received anything I have however had many frustrating, time consuming and unproductive conversations with many different employees of Protect AnericaI have also learned that the camera they where supposed to send me will not work with my InternetI feel this should have been discussed with me at time of the saleProtect Anerica has not fulfilled there end of the deal and I am completely disgusted and unsatisfied with this companyWhy are they able to hold me to a contract that they have not honored?
