I have lived in the Phoenix area for the past 9 years and have used Parker & Sons frequently for both small jobs (such as leaking faucets) and large jobs (such as installing new HVAC unit). I own an older house that is often in need of repairs and replacements, so I need a service company that is dependable, trustworthy, honest, competent, courteous, friendly, on time, and the best. I have always found this to be true of Parker & Sons. I recommend them frequently, and will continue to do so. Thank you so much for great service!
I am writing to let everyone know how pleased I was with the AC service Todd S. from Parker and Sons, INC. performed on our Lennox Unit on 3/1/16. Todd came over to do the AC summer maintenance before the heat surge begins. I've never met Todd before but he was on time and called before hand to let me know he was on the way. He was friendly and already had the paper booties on his shoes which I appreciate. Todd went straight to work after asking the appropriate questions regarding our unit and recent usage. In less than 30 minutes Todd was off the roof and reported everything was in order and ready for summer and I signed the detailed system's check list. After a friendly goodbye he was off to his next customer. Totally professional and courteous. Thank you, Todd and thank you, Parker and Sons.
We've been a customer for 24 years and have always received the best service in both air conditioning and plumbing needs.
We experienced a main-line leak below the concrete of our home:( Marco A. arrived in a most timely manner, was courteous, professional and immediately put us at ease with his abilities to do the job efficiently and in a timely manner:) Marco was very pleasant, never pressured us to have other services and represented his company with integrity and experience. Thank you, Marco, for your excellent service and skills...Parker & Sons is lucky to have you as an employee!~Annamarie & Jeff

Trent was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful and was a pleasure to have working with my a/c unit. I felt he could be trusted and had the customer first in his work.
I found the service tech to be very friendly and knowledgeable. My only disappointment was the inflated estimated cost of performing the service. Over one thousand dollars to install a new water heater. OUCH!
We scheduled a repair and the service technician did not show up.
Two hours after the repairman did not show up I called the office main number. Unless they talk to you on the phone just before your appointment time, they cancel your appointment. Something they do not tell you when you make the appointment.
It makes no sense. Why make an appointment at all?
I just wasted an afternoon waiting and my air conditioner still needs to be serviced.
I think I will find another contractor who has more faith in it's customers.
Review: My in-laws, and elderly couple, called to have to a/c checked. Someone came out and took care of the a/c. He also convinced them to take out an energy savings agreement for $129.00 for the a/c and heating to be checked within the next year. They did not have a heating element on their a/c unit. So my mother-in-law called and was told that since she did not have the heating element, that they would refund her the $69.00. She waited several weeks, then called back. She was then told that no, they would not be refunding her money. She asked to speak to the person who she dealt with the last time and the man refused. We had also called Parker and Sons, asking them if they could put heating strips on the existing a/c unit. Someone came out and told them no, that they would need to purchase a new a/c-heating unit which would run approximately $5000-$7000. We got a second opinion, and he was able to put the heating strips on the existing a/c unit for only $500.00.Desired Settlement: My mother-in-law deserves the $69.00 she was promised.

Response:
After reviewing the customers account, I found the reason a refund was not due was because she had used both visits, one on 6/13/13 and the other on 4/5/14. I spoke to the customers daughter in law, [redacted], on 11/13/14 and explain the circumstances to her and why there wasn't a refund due. She understood and agreed that there may have been some misunderstanding. I agreed to refund the requested $69 to satisfy the customer. [redacted]

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: I originally called Parker & Sons to look at one of our two air conditioning units that was tripping the circuit breaker and not cooling my home. I believed Parker & Sons had a decent reputation, the commercial stating "no Melvin's on your job" sounded promising also . Let's just say, my experience with Parker & Son's has been less than pleasant, and I guess I got a Melvin. The first technician that came out spent almost three hours diagnosing the issue and ended up adding 1 lb of R22 refrigerant to the smaller of my two units. In the mean time, he stated we had an air leak in the air handler in the attic on the larger 5 ton unit and quoted us a repair estimate of $1,458.00. Please keep in mind, this unit was running perfectly and was not the reason for the service call. However, he talked my husband into setting up an appointment with a sales consultant stating we would be better off replacing the larger unit due to the cost of the repair. I paid $198.00 for the so called "repair" to my smaller unit--the addition of 1 lb of refrigerant. That part of my house did cool down to 80 degrees (had been 85 previously) but not more than 30 minutes later, the unit tripped the circuit breaker and shut off (the same problem I initially called for service on). I called Parked & Sons back and advised I was still having the same issue. The woman I spoke with reviewed the tech's notes and said "I see he added 2 lbs of coolant", I kindly pointed out we were told (and my receipt clearly states in the technician's handwriting) he added 1 lb. A second technician was sent out later in the evening and first told me I needed a new run cap and a hardstart kit and even gave me quotes on both items. I agreed to the service and he went to his van to make a phone call. He then came back and said he wanted to look into the matter further and eventually told me I need a new compressor. He then quoted me $2,956.00 and suggested that when the sales consultant comes out to consider a smaller a/c unit as well (so basically replace both units). He also then suggested I consider the service plan Parker & Sons offers with monthly payments that covers 2 "check ups" and "maintenance" a year and that way I could get a discount on future service. I feel like my service call was more of a push to buy new units. I question the competence of the first technician and admit I have lost confidence in the Parker & Son's name. I had to laugh as the second technician drove away in a van that says "Comfort today or you don't pay" while feeling like I got screwed.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my $198.00 refunded. I can't say I feel confident in Parker & Sons at this point to call them back for service let alone make a major investment and install two new units on my home.

Response:
We regret that we have lost the trust and confidence of our customer in this case. Intermittent issues like those experienced on this AC unit are often the most difficult to accurately identify and diagnose. We believe that our technicians acted appropriately and professionally, and we’re merely looking out for the customer’s best interest. However, because we failed in delighting our customer, we will respectfully reimburse them the $198.00 that they paid for our service
Review: Refrigerant on ac unit is designated to hold 11 lbs, 12oz. Parker and sons added 16lbs on 12/16/14 which made the unit work harder. Evidence of receipts can be provided. Additionally, the fan was turning on/off constantly as a result of this and now in need of a new fan!! We paid Parker and sons $1132 for a job with poor works manship and demanding it back in its entirety! A professional from Grand Air provided additional evidence that the coil was improperly installed as burn marks were found in the attic and the drain pan was improper causing an overflow of water. The list goes on.....Desired Settlement: Refund the entire $1132 or sue in court.

Response:
it's unfortunate that the customer felt it was necessary to submit a complaint to the Revdex.com. Yesterday 6/30/15 at 12:10pm we agreed to refund the $1132.60 back to Mr. [redacted]. While we do not agree with the findings of the other HVAC company, we wanted to make sure that the customer was satisfied so we agreed to settle for the $1132.60.
[redacted] from Parker & Sons was prompt and professional, performing the check up on our A/C system quickly and thoroughly. We've always had great results with Parker & Sons for plumbing and air conditioning needs.
We've used Parker & Sons now three or four times on all sorts of toilet, faucet and water main issues. I heard the jingle on the radio (Queen of Clean endorses you) and of course, we all saw "Melvin" on TV.
You have not disappointed us at all and have lived up to all of your promises.
Thanks for quickly and efficiently handling all of our situations! I look forward to using you in the future - whatever comes up!
I have used Parker & Sons for the past 3 years for routine maintenance on my a/c & evap cooler. [redacted] is the tech I request. He is always on time, very knowledgeable, and explains everything thoroughly, even showing me pictures of a problem I was having and making sure I understood what needed to be done and the cost of the repair.
I would like to recommend Parker and sons for their excellent and prompt service. They are reasonably priced and back their service.
I would especially like to commend their Supervisor [redacted]. He demonstrated interest in my questions and was very helpful.
Good work Parker and Sons!
[redacted] met my expectations for performing a tune-up on the heating system.
I have been a customer of Parker & Sons for quite a few years now and continue to be very pleased with the service I receive. I particularly like the fact that I get the same serviceman ([redacted]) each time I have preventive maintenance calls in Spring and Fall.
I requested 2 services----semi-annual heating / air conditioner check and a simple plumbing toilet fix. Both technicians showed up in a timely manner, were clean and very professional. Both technicians went about their business and upon completion provided a clear and concise diagnostics of their findings and recommendations. The plumbing technician did his work for free!!!
Parker's technicians always adhere to the promised time range and cover their work shoes before entering the house. They are fast and efficient in checking the equipment. My only negative comment is that one of the techs always tries to sell me some part or service.
We made an online appointment with Parker & Sons for a problem with our heating system. They called to confirm the appt. within 15 minutes. The service tech ([redacted]) not only arrived on time but called to let us know he was nearby. [redacted]'s professional diagnosis and repair was great. What we thought was a faulty thermostat was really a bad capacitor on the furnace. After replacing the capacitor we now have heat and Parker & Sons on our contact list.
