Defective Part!
Do not buy from this website! I read so many great reviews about these guys and their prices looked amazing which made me feel comfortable purchasing a Rotor and Brake Pad set from PartsGeek. I had my ASE Mechanic install all four rotors and pads but when he went to test drive my car, he heard a metal on metal scraping noise! He proceeded to uninstall and reinstall these parts 2 more times and the same thing happened each time. He told me the rotors are defective and were too big for my car! I didn't want to believe it because I read such glowing reviews of Partsgeek. My mechanic then went and bought new rotors from his supplier and installed them and test drove my car with absolutely no metal on metal scrapping noise. Everything was perfect.
So, I reached out to Partsgeek and have been giving the run around for over a week now! Their call center asked for pictures would I happily sent them over 15 pictures worth of the rotors and they came back saying they needed more pictures to be sent! You can clearly see where the caliper was hitting the rotor because they are too big for my car. You can't even make out one of the rotors engraved part markings because it scrapped so bad. When I initially purchased this kit, I went with this particular rotor and pad kit because the description stated "Built under strict quality control standards; Tested for impact, wear and fatigue to ensure quality and durability; Manufactured in ISO9002 Certified facility". So when I challenged them on this and asked them 3 different times "Did they even have an inhouse Quality Assurance Dept?", the flat out ignored me and refuses to answer this question! And all they now keep saying is "their waiting to hear back from the warehouse". The crazy part is there is nothing the warehouse can say without having these rotors right in front of them in order to take all measurements required, per the spec. I feel like their just giving me the run around now because they do want to honor their 30 day return policy just so they can keep my $300 I spent with them and wipe their hands clean of it and say "sorry, your past your 30 day mark"!
So, I would highly suggest you just bit the bullet and spend the extra money at AutoZone or any local auto parts store for parts for your car. I was wondering how they could charge so much less for their parts and still make money, well now I have my answer. Because they will just sell you anything and say it fits your car but in reality, they won't and you wind up spending 3x the amount you would have spent at your local auto parts store just to save a little bit of money. I would hate for this to happen to you and something tragic happen like losing a loved one because of a defective part you bought from Partsgeek.

Great customer service, competitive but reasonable price. Lots of brand choices.

Price is okay add shipping and it's not as great as it's listed.wait for your parts from different shipping locations,but they make a mistake and send you the wrong part or in my case someone else's returned old parts. Good luck getting a live person that cares.last purchase from partsgeek I'm going to the free shipping guys instead.

Great service & handy place to find parts. Love the new additions to the parts catalogue.

I placed my order on Monday before noontime and received my order within 24 hours. The price was great and the parts fit perfectly. I will definitely but from them again.

Terrible customer service. All I've been getting is the run-around. I ordered several parts for my AC system on my vehicle. I had a mechanic check and recharge the system. Every component on the AC system is brand new, new o-rings, etc. I drove it for 20 minutes and one of the new AC lines blew. It was a factory-defective part. I have been trying to get them to replace it. I live in Tucson, AZ where it is over 100°F every day and my wife has doctors appointments weekly. I need my AC working.

Every email I get from PartsGeek regarding this issue is from a different person, there is no continuity of service. They want me to pay to ship the part back to them and state the part must be in resalable condition, otherwise no refund, LOL! It's their company policy which they sent me in an email stating the rules for a refund. This after I sent them pictures of the defective part. It will cost me nearly what the part originally cost to ship it back. My wife is on disability and I'm her full-time caregiver, so we are on a fixed income.

They should have simply sent me a new part ASAP. That is wah a reputable company would have done. I sent them pictures of the defective part, I WILL NOT ever do business with this company again and am now out of the money I spent for the part. I will purchase it from a different company that appreciates the value of customers. I have no clue how this company stays in business.

We apologize Mr. Mayfield received a defective part however the defects are a manufacturer issue and we will be notifying the manufacturer of this issue. As our website states on our customer service page http://www.partsgeek.com/aboutus.html, All returns are freight prepaid by the customer. (including defective parts) but since you were not happy with Parts Geek, we did supply you with a return shipping label so you did not have to pay out of pocket for returning the part. Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that we may have caused and for the delay in receiving a resolution from our establishment.

Great service, products and timeliness of delivery. Cannot go wrong with Geek.

It arrived 1 day earlier than expected.

Received the wrong part, wasn't their fault was due to chevy mid year body change. RMA was issued in just a day. Parts Geek.com actually has customer service people working the phone Unlike_ ock auto. Fair prices and a large selection. Highly recommended

Ordered a soft top for a 1979 Jeep cj5 and they listed it wrong. Fit an 87-95 wrangler. Refused to accept a return because it was over the 30 days, however the gentleman installing had emergency back surgery. They have since fixed it in their site. I have pictures as proof.

We are saddened you do not agree with our return policy as it is listed on our website and all email confirmations however our 30 day no hassle return policy is common in the automotive parts industry. If you contacted us even within 45 days we might have been able to extend it however too much time has passed and are unable to accept the return four months later. Horrible return policy!!!
Sent me the wrong part doesn’t even look like the photo in the picture on top of it the part was covered in grease obviously used!
To return the part they want to charge me shipping to return for a part that they screwed up!!!!

When customers claim parts are damaged, defective or not the part that was ordererd, it is normal practice to request photos and also to confirm what part number was physically received to determine if a pre-paid shipping label needs to be sent. Once the photos are sent and valid our customers claims, we issue a pre-paid shipping label and send out the correct part. Also, Customer Service is not available via phone. The Customer Service page of our website (www.partsgeek.com) has a support ticket system at the top of the page. Under “how do I contact you”, it also states to fill out a support ticket.

I will never order again. First time ordering. They sent the wrong manual, they sent the one for gas engines WHEN I ORDERED FOR DIESEL. NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP IT BACK. Per their website their policy is the customer is responsible for shipping EVEN IF PARTS GEEK IS AT FAULT. They are also not available to contact by phone, I spent an hour trying to contact by phone only to be on hold. I will not ever order from Parts Geek again.
