On October 23, Penn Foster responded to an email from *** *** stating *** *** had completed more than 50% of her program and as per her signed contract she is liable for the entire tuition balance.
On October 25, Penn Foster responded to another email sent by *** *** advising her that her enrolment had never been canceled and *** *** was able to log in and continue on with her lessons.
*** *** has until April 30, to complete this programSince she completed more than 50% of the program no refund is available. If *** *** wishes to continue with this program, we are willing to provide her a six month extension at no charge

Upon *** ***’s enrollment, *** *** was advised that in order to pay the account in full all she would owe is $635.00. The price of $was quoted to *** *** based off of the pre-evaluation that was performed on the unofficial transcripts that were submitted on November 1, 2014. We awarded the student credits at $a credit which came to a total of $off of the program. This discounted price is contingent upon receiving the official transcripts
On November 17, we received the official sealed copy of the transcripts from *** High School. After the post-enrollment evaluation was completed, we were able to honor $off of the total tuition price. The enrollment agreement *** *** received is a generic form that all students receive regardless of any discounts. The agreement form reflects a program price of $1,395.00, which is the correct price for the auto-pay discountThe enrollment agreement will not reflect any discounts made to any student account as it is a manual discount. We do offer an amendment letter that we are able to send out if it is requested by the student/guardian. This letter reflects the new pricing after any discount have been applied to an account
*** ***’s account is in fact paid in full. We have removed the $balance that was previously shown on her account and also removed *** ***’s credit card information from our system
In order to resolve this dispute, Penn Foster is going to refund the $back to *** ***’s account and her account is cancelled. *** *** advised us that she filed a dispute with her credit card company for this charge. For that reason, we are unable to process the refund and need to await the paperwork from the bank. Once received, the refund will follow through with her credit card company’s dispute policy.

I am responding to the case number ***I understand everything that MsL*** addressed, however I still feel I am eligible for some sort of refund or reimbursementAs previously stated, I paid the second semester in full as of July Despite this fact, I was never notified regarding how I would go about receiving the remainder of the semester two materials (that were paid for)In the enrollment agreement signed by myself, it is stated that if a student pays a semester in full, he or she will receive all of their semester materialsWhen I called Penn Foster Student Services and questioned the status of my material shipment, I was asked if I had signed the shipping waiverI had never heard of this waiver prior to this phone conversationI was then told that in order for me to receive my remaining materials this waiver would have to be signedI printed it out from the Forms and Handbooks link on my student page and faxed it to the appropriate numberOver a week later I still saw no sign of my materials, so I again called Student Services who then told me I was misinformed and the materials would not be shipped to meI was very confused about the different information I was being fed and quite frankly I was upset at the fact that I paid almost $2,yet never received my remaining materialsLast time I checked, if you buy or pay for something, that is now yoursI'm not sure why it is any different at Penn Foster.
My other reason to believe I am eligible for a refund is that I was verbally told in a phone conversation that I would be receiving a refund check in the mail for $340.00, only to later be told that I should not expect this refund because I was apparently misinformedI'm sorry that they don't have "it" together at Penn Foster, but I should not be the one to suffer from their mistakesMy mistakes are not forgiven by themI have made all of my payments as a loyal student would, and this is what I get in returnI'm hoping someone will be able to help me out, otherwise I better get some kind of [truthful] explanation
