I enrolled two children in the program ages and One was a 7th grader who moved to 9th grade in the Penn Foster programThe other daughter was in 10th gradeBoth children ran through the courses (credit) at a rate of per dayThese classes were so simplified that they would never have laid a solid foundation for collegeThe younger of the two children who is college bound noted this herself and raised concernsPlease if you are not an adult learner completing your education for the purposes of job or promotion do not rely on this program to prepare you for college or lifeThis program is not suitable for children who have their whole life ahead of themWe switched to a Kprogram it was free and betterPenn Foster is not for or about the child learnerBiggest parenting mistake that we will pay dearly for financially while our kids have to return to a more structured program feeling behind

They don't tell you everything you will need before you get startedThey list printed textbooks as an option, then tell you they have went digital after you payThey said I would get my printed textbooks when I reached a certain section but they are still digital

I welcome the opportunity to address *** ***’s concerns*** *** enrolled in our Veterinary Assistant Career Diploma Program on December 10, by submitting a down payment and a signed enrollment agreement
Students are required to complete an externship in their program to gain hanexperienceThe externship encompasses a minimum of hours of clinical experience in a full-service companion animal practiceThe required hours should be completed in approximately eight weeksStudents must find their externship site on their ownPenn Foster does not provide the externship site nor do they provide liability insurance. If a site is requiring that the student has liability insurance, we suggest that they call insurance companies in their area and ask how they would go about purchasing liability insurance for the time they will be in the externshipStudents can also ask if they can be covered under the sites liability insurance and just pay the difference in the cost.
Students must have their chosen externship site supervisor complete the proper paperwork and when received it will be sent for review. Our records indicate that paperwork was received March 13, and *** ***’s externship site was approved on March 24, 2015. Unfortunately, once the approved site realized that *** *** does not have liability insurance they were unable to have her complete her externship there
According to our records, *** *** called in on April 3, with questions about her Practicum. The person who *** *** needed to speak with was not available, however a call back was put in for her to return *** ***’s call. On April 6, a representative called *** *** back and *** *** advised that she had found another site for her externship however, they were currently working with another student and could not take on more than one at a time. *** *** has until June 2, to complete the program; therefore, she has enough time to wait for that site to take her on. If she does not want to wait, she is able to purchase liability insurance and use her pervious site.

If *** has a disability which would prevent him from reading the study guides online, he would need to submit medical documentation of that disability. Once received, we will review for the best possible outcome for ***. We chatted via online with *** on February 26, and advised him of this. *** does not need a doctor’s appointment to receive a letter unless he is due for a cheas he just needs to call his doctor and ask him for a letter stating his disability preventing him from reading the study guides online. *** can have the doctor’s office fax the letter directly to me at ###-###-####.

Jaime D***, the Admissions Rep for Penn Foster College, suggested I notify the Executive staff of Penn Foster, my reasons for cancelling my enrollment with them Once you ask for info online, reps immediately contact you to sell you on their school Several reps call until you advise them you are working with a repI got her...Jaime D*** After less than hours, I requested to cancel my enrollment She was not helpful and confrontational during the enrollment process This behavior persuaded me to take my money elsewhere When contacting the school/her to cancel, you cannot get a response Won't even answer If you want better service, respect and just helpful customer service intelligence, pick another school as this person obviously portrays what you will get if you attend....trash!

Fictions, facts, and cursings are intermingled in the Business's writings to creat an appearance of ambiguityDisability is the Business's wishful thinking; the Business uttered it two timesHowever, its wishful thinking is not going to obliterate a plain truth: I paid all $for the entire course; the Business delivered 50% of study guides and practical materials to me, causing my failure to pursue a locksmith career.
"Printing the study units[sic]" is not an option stipulated in the Enrollment Agreement signed by me and accepted by the Business, nor is it an alternative alerted in ***, an enrollment catalogue
Rule of law is the golden doctrine of a leading democracy, preventing the Business from changing the rule in the middle of the gameDuring our communications, the Business exposed its irresponsibility and lowly educated staffOur communications served further to point at the truth that problems with our education system today lies with the educators, not that much with the studentsThe educators need to be educated well prior to educating others.
I do not intend to give the Business a lecture on education and moralityAt this point, I am merely asking refund of my tuitionHowever, if it is necessary to escalate the difference to a higer level, I shall ask for damages

The Distance Education and Training Council located in Washington D.Cnationally accredits Penn Foster High SchoolIn addition Penn Foster High School is regionally accredited by The Middle States Commission on Secondary SchoolsPenn Foster High School is licensed by The Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools. As we are accredited, *** *** should have no issue with our Diploma.
*** ***’s signed enrollment agreement states that students who cancel after five days and have not submitted an exam they would owe the registration, administration and technology fees. According to our records, *** *** contacted us on April 16, in regards to cancelling his account stating he needed a new laptop and we deferred three months of payments to help him financially until he was able to obtain a new laptop. At that time, *** *** was on a bi-weekly payment of $which declined on April 13, and was set to retry April 17, 2015. We were unable to cancel that payment as it was already in the process of clearing with the bank. We need at least hours notice to stop a payment in the system. *** *** would have owed his liability even if the account was cancelled April 16, per his signed enrollment agreement
In addition, on June 8, I tried to contact *** *** as he left a voicemail with me from June 7, 2015. I was forced to leave a message as there was no answer at the number provided.
As a courtesy, I have waived *** ***’s cancellation terms of $214.50, cancelling his account with no further financial obligations. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused
