I am rejecting this response because:I have a right to courtesy and respect from any person and at any time. I also have a right to inquire about charges, data collected about myself, as well as privacy and no corporation or otherwise has permission to infringe upon that.  America still has laws that corporations must abide by.  Nor should I be forced to "self serve" removing my information from a site regardless of how the information was collected.I am not the only person who has had bad experiences with peoplefinders.com. I also was not transferred to any voicemail as the agent blocked my number therefore preventing the call from continuing. Of course I would expect people finders to lie. Moreover, that lack of professionalism and service in itself is proof of the poor reputation that this company has.Peoplefinders is NOT a public utility and therefore is also required to maintain proper policies about privacy. Many lawsuits have been filed against companies such as this due to the misuse of people's names and addresses as well as credit card information. Liabilities do lie with businesses who dispense information for profit as you do not know what the motive or intentions are for the consumer of said information. There is never an excuse for a representative to be rude or bossy when dealing with a customers concerns.

In conclusion your account is closed, there will be no further automatic billing and you are responsible for the initial trial cost of $0.95 and one membership fee of $24.95.

membership. If cancelled within three days you will be billed $2.95 for the trial. If the trial is allowed to renew it would have renewed at $24.95 per month for the membership. We received your cancellation over the phone on 7/30/2015, within the three day trial period, therefore you were billed $2.95 for the trial on the fourth day. The cancellation does not negate your initial purchase of $0.95 for the People Search Report. We are sorry that you did not receive the results you were hoping for. When you order a report, our system searches through billions of public records and collects every piece of relevant information. PeopleFinders pays for access to this data, so the charge is for us to conduct a search on your behalf, not to return a specific result. We are unable to provide a refund, but we will be happy to offer you a free search to help you find the facts you need. You were billed the monthly membership fee of $24.95 on July 15th, August 15th and September 15th. Per your first request to our Customer Care department on 9/17/2014 we closed your account and granted one refund of $24.95, as a courtesy. The refunded amount was for the most current month of membership (September 15th). 
You have stated over the phone and on this complaint that you have already contacted your bank or Credit Card Company and filed a dispute. Often, due to the dispute, you are given a conditional refund by your bank; therefore we cannot offer you any additional refunds.
In conclusion, we have issued one refund of $24.95 your account is closed and there will be no further automatic billing. If you have any questions regarding your [redacted] statements you will need to contact them directly.

The customer had signed up for two memberships. We have refunded the $24.95, there will be no further membership renewals.

I am rejecting this response because:I do not have any paper work etc.I did a one time request a long time ago. I am not the first person this scam has adversely affected.The only information I have is the company phone number on my credit card statement  which is the same as the one listed for this company.

The customer did not make a purchase for $4.95 under the email provided. Please provide the correct email address or direct the customer to review his credit card records regarding what company this charge was made under.

We reviewed the phone call you are refferring to on 3/19/2015 and found that you had questions for the representative about our membership coverage. There was no request from you to cancel the trial membership. The representative even confirmed that the automatic renewal was on and that we were available to cancel this memberhip at any time upon your request. The 3 day trial has ended; therefore, you were charged the membership fee on the fourth day. Per several demanding calls on 3/27/2015 we canceled your membership. You have stated on this complaint that you have already contacted your bank or Credit Card Company and filed a dispute. Often, due to the dispute, you are given a conditional refund by your bank; therefore we cannot offer you a refund. Please allow time for your financial institution to review the charges for validity. Usually this process will take a few billing cycles and they will notify you of the outcome via mail. You will now need to follow their policies and procedures regarding these charges.
