Review: I signed up to use people finder for a work related project. After finding the information I needed, I cancelled the service (this was within a couple of weeks of signing up). I have been getting charged 24.99 a month ever since (I cancelled in January and have been getting billed every month since). I wanted to call the company and take care of this matter, but on their website there is no way to contact them except through email. There was not anyway for me to log into my account from [redacted]. They make it as difficult as possible to cancel. Even on my bank statement, they don't use their name. The name as it appears on my bank statement is [redacted]. The only way that I was able to figure out who was billing me was through my bank They were able to somehow find out who was billing me and they gave me a number to call. When I called People Finder I told them that I have cancelled this subscription in January. The representative ([redacted]) that helped me said yes, I did cancel in January, but I only cancelled 1 account. I had no idea that I was signed up for two accounts. Their company is such a scam. My complaint is that they somehow get people to sign up for more than they are even aware of, and then make it impossible to cancel because you can't even get any information on their website (a phone number, an address, a way to cancel). I really feel that this company is a scam.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed for the months that I was charged for even after I cancelled my subscription.

Business

Response:

The Peoplefinders Rewards membership was not canceled until 06/06. We have already issued three refunds for $24.99 each. No further refunds will be issued.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: It is not true that the account was cancelled on June 6. It was cancelled in January and confirmed by the person from People Finder that I spoke with. People Finder still owes me for February and March and I am so angry that they are lying about the cancellation time. This just proves what a scam company they are. Since they are getting this reply, I want them to know that I will be putting their deceptive business practices on [redacted]!

Business

Response:

There was not previous cancelation to 06/06/16. No further refunds will be given

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] is an out and out LIAR. When I contacted PeopleFinders the first week of June, whoever I spoke to on the phone is the person that told me that she could see that I had cancelled in January. I am disgusted that [redacted] is lying. I don't have any concrete proof to show you that I cancelled back then, I just have the information that was given to me by Customer Service at People Finders the first week of June. [redacted] should be ashamed of herself. To the Revdex.com, I thank you for your time in trying to help me resolve this matter. PeopleFinders is a scam and [redacted] proved it!

Review: I went to the web site and looked up my cousin. The option was $0.98 or $2.95. I chose the $.98 and went to the second page. There it said if I didn't want the membership use the $2.95. I backed to the first page and chose the $2.95 one time search. I did this thinking I would not get a membership and would be charged $2.95. I clicked on the $2.95 option on the second page as I did when I backed to the first page. I then received the $24.95 charge at the end of the 3 day trial. I called to get my money refunded and was told that once I clicked on the option on the first page and went to the second page I could not change my mind. However I had to confirm what I wanted on the second page. So why do I confirm my choice on the second page if I can't change it?Desired Settlement: I was charged $0.47 and $0.48 and $24.95. I should have been charged $2.95 so they owe me $22.95. I want the $22.95 refunded and their website fixed so a customer can change their mind like all the other websites I deal with. When I put something in my cart I should be able to take it out and put something else in it.

Business

Response:

The customer chose a trial membership and had three days to cancel before being billed. Also, the customer would have needed to approved the three day trial in order to complete the purchase. Per out Terms of Use, no refund will be issued.

Review: They say a sucker is born every minute. I feel Peoplefinders.com literally bank on it. To be honest, I don't think I was suckered but rather slyly and ever so quietly deceived. I do not argue that there was probably fine print somewhere. My argument is I believed I was making a single purchase transaction. No ifs ands or buts. Peoplefinders.com is quietly deceiving consumers and knowingly continues to do so, as is apparent by the numerous Revdex.com complaints filed. One goes around in circles on their website trying to find their elusive "cancel my membership link" that their FAQ's says exists. Simply put, I feel I am one of many consumers duped by their scam and they have orchestrated it in such a way that I am certain it is intentional. I am also certain I will not be the last victim of their practices.Desired Settlement: They win. I fell for their tactics and they essentially robbed me of $29.95, for absolutely nothing. I just hate that they will keep doing it. It doesn't matter if I get a refund.

Business

Response:

The customer purchased a membership on our website and would have had to approve that charge before completing the transaction online. No refund will be issued.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

Firstly, I did not request a refund.

I indeed authorized a 0.48 cent charge. The fine print was just that, fine and deceptive. I was not presented with an authorization request when the membership fee was charged at a later date nor the subsequent monthly charges. Therefore they are unauthorized transactions. Your deceptive practices abound by not even emailing me of the charges or providing any kind of notice or receipt. I'm simply calling you out on this deception. These are the facts.

Business

Response:

Please review the website. It clearly stats that the .48 cents charge is for a trial membership that needs to be canceled if the membership is not wanted.

Review: They still haven't removed the info I requested to be removed. They send the same emails over and over. It has been 10 business days and nothing on the site was removed. THese are some of the emails saying how long it takes:

"Hello,

We apologize for any inconvenience. We have submitted a request to suppress your directory listing as of today. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for this to reflect online."

"Hello,

Opt-out requests are processed in the order in which they are received. Sometimes requests can take longer than normal based on an increase in the volume of requests received. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we are working to process your request" If that's true than don't say in the first email to allow 7 to 10 business days.

It doesn't take 3 weeks to remove a page or a few lines of html code no matter how busy a company is. They had no problem putting the info up but struggle to remove it which is a way faster process.

Please Remove these pages/names and don't continue to say it will take 7-10 more business days:

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Please Remove these pages/names and don't continue to say it will take 7-10 more business days:

Also to stop using the same lines in customer service emails. To actually have customer service not copy and pasted lines from the company.

Review: I noticed that people finders.com has been billing me large amounts monthly. They are bleeding my account and a matter of fact I suspect they are the ones that booked a 55.00 Uber trip on my credit card.

The police are currently investigating this incidentDesired Settlement: Refund me

Business

Review: I used services provided by people finders for the amount of $0.95 I discovered another charge on my checking account in the amount of $24.95. I contacted people finders and it was then that I discovered that I was automatically signed up for a membership. I stated that I did not knowingly, nor willingly signed up for the membership and that I certainly did not authorize people finders to withdraw $24.95 from my checking account. I requested a refund from people finders for this unauthorized charge of $24.95, I was denied said request by people finders.

After consulting with my bank to start the chargeback process, I was advised by my bank to file a police report against people finders. I submitted a second request and chance for people finders to refund me the unauthorized charge of $24.95, along with the request to remove my debit card associated with my email address, and to delete the account associated with my email address via email- If my request are made, I would not forgo submitting claims against people finders with the approripate agencies. I was denied these request a second time. I have now filled a complaint with my state consumer protection law agency, I will also make a report with the local police agency, and now submitting this complaint with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Refund of the unauthorized charge of $24.95. To have my debit card removed from the account associated with my email address and/or people finders system(s), to delete the account associated with my email.

We have attached a screen shot of the sign up page the customer selected when they purchased their report. They did in fact sign up for the 3 day trial membership. There was also an option to select if they did not want the membership. Our terms of use state that memberships are not refundable. These terms of use are agreed to if the customer checks a box before completing the purchase. The customer did check the box to agree to these terms. However, as a courtesy, we have refunded this $24.95.There will be no further billings.

Review: Business continued to bill even though it agreed not to.

Ordered one information request in March 2013 for a price of $1.95. Did not agree to any future enrollment or membership and have not used their service since that original purchase.

They have continued to bill beyond their original acceptance to cancel.

Desired Settlement: Two $24.95 billings. $49.90.

Business' Initial Response

Our records indicate that you have already been assisted with this matter. We have reviewed our files and our records show that an order for a search was conducted by [redacted] on 3/18/2013. At that time Mr. [redacted] had a choice to accept a special discounted price available with a monthly membership or the full price for the search without membership. The membership option was affirmatively selected by [redacted] on 3/18/2013. That membership provided a three day trial to try our services. Our membership service provides unlimited searches and other features for a monthly fee. This is clearly and conspicuously disclosed on the initial order selection page. Then the consumer is provided with an entire page outlining the terms of the membership which clearly and conspicuously states that after the initial trial, unless the consumer cancels the service the service will continue monthly and the card they provided will be charged until they indicate to cancel their membership to avoid future charges. The membership is mentioned no less than three times on three pages before the order is complete.

Given that members can conduct unlimited searches for a monthly membership fee our terms do not allow for any refunds and simply allow members to cancel anytime to avoid future charges. For the period of her membership Mr. [redacted] was charged each month. During that time, our customer service was available to take his cancellation at any time. Mr. [redacted] failed to contact us to cancel until a phone call to a representative three months after the membership had been activated. At that time, we agreed to refund one charge of $24.95 as a courtesy. In conclusion, [redacted] has received credits for one months of service totaling $24.95, his account is closed and there will be no further automatic billing.

I called and got them to admit that the reason they can't spell my name correctly is because what they call "public records" are mailing lists. My name is spelled correctly on legal documents such as my drivers license, my birth certificate, my voter's registration, the deed to my house, etc. But apparently none of that matters. Some mailing label place has inserted an incorrect middle initial, and now websites like this publish that as my name, and I can't get them to fix it! Personally, it's aggravating and horrible! I would prefer to allow people to find me, but my only option is to have the misinformation removed.

Review: PeopleFinders has been billing me for over 18 months for 24.95. They did this after we paid a small fee (00.75) to search for information on a certian person. We did not authorize this billing. They claim their agreement for our search allows them to bill monthly. When I asked them to stop billing and issue a credit they refused. The girl in customer service [redacted] said they would not issue a refund and she was extremely rude. I asked for a supervisor and she gave me her voicemail. This company is robbing people by hiding some obscure clause in search information.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded for the 18 months of charges the company stole from us.

At the time of purchase on 1/25/2015 you chose to receive a discounted price for signing up for a 3 day trial to our Membership. You had the option to cancel this membership trial at anytime via your account manager on the website, via email, or via phone. We did not receive any notification that you wished to cancel this trial. The 3 day trial has ended; therefore, you were charged the membership fee on the fourth day, and for every month thereafter. We have found that you have already contacted your bank or Credit Card Company and filed a dispute. Often, due to the dispute, you are given a conditional refund by your bank; therefore we cannot offer you any refunds. Please allow time for your financial institution to review the charges for validity. Usually this process will take a few billing cycles and they will notify you of the outcome via mail. You will now need to follow their policies and procedures regarding these charges.

Review: I used peoplefinders to find a phone number. I clicked on a button labelled best deal $0.95. seemed reasonable. it closed with no notification then two months in a row my discover card was billed for $25. I called them and they said one was a duplicate and would be refunded, the other is nonrefundable. I went back to see what happened and apparently the free trial they offered had to be cancelled in three days or it became irrevocable. the typeface for that is barely visible and I missed it completely, which of course is why it was designed that way.Desired Settlement: I'd like my $50 back and I'd like you or the attorney general to require them to stop their subterfuge.

Response:

At the time of purchase you chose to receive a discounted price of $0.95 for signing up for a 3 day trial to our Membership. If your intention was to run only one report then you would have had to select the normal price report at $1.95. The $0.95 selection with 3 day trial membership allowed you to receive an unlimited number of:

•People Searches – Get the facts you need to find anyone, anywhere

•Email Searches – Obtain email addresses, or learn about the owner of any address

•Social Profile Searches – See updates on all of your friend’s social profiles in one spot

•Marriage Searches – Find out if a man or woman has ever been married

•Divorce Searches – Check the divorce status of any man or woman

•Property Searches – Learn about any piece of property, including the current owner and value

You had the option to cancel this membership trial at anytime via your account manager on the website, via email, or via phone.

We did not receive any notification that you wished to cancel this trial. The 3 day trial has ended; therefore, you were charged the membership fee on the fourth day, and for every month thereafter.

Per your request over the phone on 8/5/2014, and as a onetime courtesy, we have granted one refund for the most current month of membership in July. Please allow 2-5 business days for the refund to process back into your credit or debit card.

The membership fee for June and the initial trial cost of $0.95 are non-refundable per the terms you agreed to.

Review: I used peoplefinders.com to search for a person and agreed to the $.95 charge. When my credit card statement arrived I was billed $24.95 twice!I called them at ###-###-#### to inquire why. They credited the second charged and explained that the $.95 charge is for an unlimited number of searches for 3 days and that if you don't cancel the membership at the end of the 3 days you are automatically charged $24.95 each month. I feel like I was tricked into the $24.95 membership in the first place. I cancelled my membership to assure that I would not get billed again. I was very surprised (in researching for info on this company) that they have an A+ rating with Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund of $24.00 and agree to pay the $.95 for the one time search. I would also hope that they change the web site to make it clearer (for future users) that they would be clearer about the charge of $24.95

Review: I bought information on the site on 12/08/15, for $0.95. I was e-mailed a receipt of that payment, which does not indicate that I signed up for anything else. I have not since received an invoice or billing notice or confirmation of additional payments -- despite the fact that $24.95 have been charged to my credit card for each month since then, staring in December 14 and through July 2015. I just realized this was happening and cancelled, but was told I could only cancel 30 days back so I would receive a reimbursement of the July charges of $24.95. Obviously, I had no idea I was a member of anything, let alone a people search site I don't use. It can not be legal to just keep charging people's credit cards after an initial purchase. I am finding online that other people have had similar experiences. What is particularly upsetting is that this is the copy you are led to when looking up information on anywho.com, which used to be an official source of contact information. Needless to day, what I received for my $0.95 was also an empty promise, as there was no additional information on the person I was looking for (despite a promise of such information.)Desired Settlement: I expect a full refund of the charges to my account from December 2014 through June 2015, for a total of $174.65.

I am rejecting this response because:I received notification that I had made a purchase, and that it was charged to my credit card. I did not receive notification that I supposedly signed up for a trial membership, nor that or when I was charged for such membership should I not cancel by a certain date. Even if I did sign up for such membership, I have no evidence of it or notification -- which is why I cannot attach anything, because such e-mail or other notice does not exist. Clearly, I was being misled to believe I had only made the initial purchase. this remains a very bad business practice to me. Do you have evidence of me signing up? can you please put that forward? Otherwise, I remain to assume that you continued to charge my credit card without authorization. Thank You. [redacted]

Business

Response:

Below is a URL to the $0.95 product you selected on 12/8/2014. Note that it explains, on each page of checkout, that you will be billed $24.95 every month until the service is cancelled. http://www.peoplefinders.com/phone/?phone=8007716013

purchased a phone number and address for less than 50 cents. Was subsequently billed for $24+ for two consecutive months. I called to complain and they were willing to only refund one month.

Now, I never used their service or logged into their website after making the 50 cent purchase. Nor did they send me any emails prior (or after) to billing my credit cart each month. They claim I signed off on a subscription, but I very carefully avoided a prompt to do that. Perhaps there was something buried somewhere out of plain site.

The whole process seems very deceptive. You are offered basic information for a very cheap price. They then offer you a more detailed report for a higher price. You decline the more detailed report and somehow find you've subscribed to a service you didn't want.

Thanks for letting me post here. My posting will not end at BBS either. They can refund my money or look forward to negative reviews elsewhere on the internet.

Review: Monthly Unauthorized Charges to my Paypal Account

I went on peoplefinders website to do a $1.99 search a few months ago. Recently a charge came on my phone for $19.99 for one months service charge. After doing a detailed search I found out I have been charged for months. Peoplefinders was not authorized to charge me and could not provide any proof that I agreed to the teams and conditions. After canceling out the service they said they could only refund me for two months. Why does the Revdex.com allow companies to operate scams and be able to take money with approval from the card owner,Desired Settlement: I want full refund of ALL monies deducted from my account from its inception. THIS IS THEFT!!! and peoplefinders should not be allowed to get away with stealing peoples money.

PeopleFinders.com is a self-service website. Customers are only charged for the products they select themselves online. All automatic renewing memberships are disclosed in standard text on every page of the checkout process next to the total. Membership coverage is also outlined on full-page disclosures. Online consumers are responsible for reading and understanding the products they are selecting.

Review: I do not think it is much to ask from the webmaster (Peoplefinders) to remove my name and address from their site. And no I did not sign up for their services and I am still not sure how they got my information and why they made it public. I've contacted [redacted] who has advised that because the page is an active page on Peoplefinders, they cannot remove URL. I am being bounced back and forth between the two and it's NOT RIGHT. I emailed Peoplefinders a screenshot of their page and it clearly shows my information on their site. Peoplesfinders has advised that they cannot remove it and I simply do not believe them since they were able to display it. Yes, I attempted to complete their opt-out process, but first you have to conduct a search for your information and my information WAS NOT returned, therefore, I am not able to complete their opt-out process.Desired Settlement: Permanently remove my information from their site. Here is the URL: [redacted]

We apologize for any inconvenience. We have submitted a request to suppress your Property Record as of today. Please allow 2 to 5 business days for this to reflect online. We want to make sure you are aware that anytime you publicly report your information to companies and organizations, this information may be updated in public record databases and therefore will return results when doing a search for public record files. If you see your name appear on our site you will need to notify us so we can remove it. We are one of hundreds of websites that provide this information.

Unfortunately, we do not have the capability to remove links on [redacted], [redacted] or any other search engine. Overtime (days, weeks, months) the link will stop appearing, however, we do not have access to remove the link from other websites. We are only able to remove your profile information from our site.

Business

Response:

We have suppressed your information again as of 8/13/2014. Once [redacted] updates their search results the link should stop appearing. Please allow time for this process to take place. Anytime you publicly report your information to companies and organizations, this information may be updated in public record databases and therefore will return results when doing a search for public record files. If you see your name appear on our site again you will need to notify us so we can remove it. We are one of hundreds of websites that provide this information.

Public records are collected from thousands of sources. Here are a few examples:

Supermarket Rewards Cards:

Every time anyone makes a purchase from a grocery store or drugstore with a loyalty or "rewards" card, that information is used to build a very personal profile of your shopping habits.

Product Warranty and Registration Cards:

Do you fill out the warranty and product registration cards for every new product you purchase? If so, you probably assume this is standard procedure for making sure your warranty is valid. In fact, warranty and product registration cards do very little for the consumer. Moreover, all your personal information on warranty cards is collected and used for marketing purposes.

Raffles and Sweepstakes:

Though raffles and sweepstakes offer a one-in-a-million chance of winning some type of luxury item, free gym memberships or dream vacations you should be aware how your contact information is used. Often, you are asked to provide Name, address and phone number as a means of contacting you in the event you should win. In reality, this information is used for direct marketing purposes.

You do not always have to enter a raffle or surf the Internet for someone to collect personal data about you. In fact, many of the activities and responsibilities you have as a member of society, property owner and licensed driver contribute to what is known as your "Public Profile." Other sources include voter registration, hunting and fishing licenses, magazine subscriptions and much more.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Although my questions were not answered in my rejection response you may close this inquiry. I will check the site at a later date to ensure that my information is removed. Additionally, people have a right to their privacy and organizations should not sale one's personal information without their knowledge. It is such a violation.

Review: I ordered a one time search from PF for $2.95, despite poor reviews. First of all, when I completed the transaction with my cc, there was no "transaction completed" indication. I have satellite internet, so I figured after 5 minutes maybe the perfect sunny weather interfered w the signal. So I hit the button, "complete the transaction" again, but not before noticing they charge 50 cents to have it emailed to you. Whatever, It's only $3.45 now, right? So I did it. I go to get the report of the person they had the info on, and they did bc they show the exact age of the individual in question w/o prompting from me. Then, the "system" cannot recognize my email/password. I JUST GAVE IT TO THEM. Now they pretend to not understand who I am. On top of that, they did not email me anything. I don't trust them at all now with my cc #, they'll prolly say anything bc their sitting in a mansion in California laughing and all of us, as if they give a damn. I suspect soon they'll be charging me God-Knows-What. Please help me stop this.Desired Settlement: Give me the information they said they had, and only charge me ONE TIME $2.95 plus 50 cents to email it to me. The 50 cents is totally ridiculous, but I agreed to it. $3.45, give me the information on [redacted], age 49, San Diego, Ca. 50 cents for an email, lol. The report was supposed to be viewed after the original transaction right then and there, but I guess they needed another half a buck. OMG, what ss. Then didn't deliver then, either. HELP!

Review: falsely identified me as aka my daughter and scammed my email after I demanded they remove my name completely. unable to spam gross and slutty emails

Claimed I am aka [redacted] E [redacted] 57. My daughter is 27 with a different middle initial and she does not live here. Neither does my other daughter. I am unable to spam all of the disgusting emails they have plastered my email site with. I had told them I would contact the attorney general's office if they didn't remove my name from their website. I also told them I had a right to know who had created a false identity. I was fired from my job in 2006 after my daughter was injured at [redacted] She ended up with frostbite and hypothermia while being forced to work at the back window on the coldest day of the year for 4 hours without a break. She was 16 years old. I was fired for missing work. I'm a single parent. I was up all night with a kid who was in extreme pain. She missed over 2 months of her jr. year and couldn't even hold a pen or feed herself. I was fired from [redacted] aka [redacted] as a customer service rep. My credit is lousy and my family has been through enough. [redacted] made it impossible for me to find another job. I am trying to go into a writing career to pay off some bills. I graduated from KU in 2000, so I also have student loans. I am a caregiver for my mother who nearly died last year. She was on a ventilator (along with a j-tube feeding tube removed in Feb) for 9 wks in 3 of 5 hospitals, 1 of which was a nursing home. I just recently rcd this computer as a gift from mom for taking care of her. She can't afford to pay me. So while innocent people like me who have committed no crimes (I also a have physical disability) try to do the right thing for our families, is of the world try to consistently tear us down and keep us at poverty's door, not to mention tearing at someone like my daughter whose credit rating has been good. It's called sociopathic behavior because they have no conscience. I hope you can help me with this. I'm sure they've messed with me in other ways as well. If a person wants to be removed from a web site, they should allow it to happen without such a nasty attitude. There's no respect.Desired Settlement: I want justice, yes, but I also want respect. I want them to stop messing with me and my family, as well as, my email site. I tried to delete them through spam and couldn't. If they destroy my computer, I want it replaced from the same store, location, and same quality, software, etc. They offered me a way to remove my name and I used their service though with a false claim because it came with the price of scamming which I had no problems with before I contacted them.

Review: I used this website to conduct a criminal history record check on my fiance for licensing requests. After spending $40.45 I viewed the report which was completely inaccurate. The only correct information on the report was the name and date of birth. I am unsure where this company retrieves their information but it is a complete scam to charge someone $40. for information that is of no help to the consumer. I called customer service only to be told that they could not do anything but give me a credit to use their services again. I asked to speak with a supervisor only to be transferred to a non-working voice mail box that hung up on me. I will not be using this website again so why would I want the credit? I would like my $40.45 credited back to my visa so I can get the information I need elsewhere. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like my full refund of $40.45 refunded back to my visa immediately.

Review: We are listed by public posting of erroneous information. Corrections, deletion of errors refused. "Membership" fee & other required for deletion.

My spouse and I are reported by PeopleFinders.com on public internet posting. The information they show is not correct and has led to some problems and unnecessary expense. Requests by telephone and mail to make corrections and deletions have failed. They require a "membership", our divulging personal information, an agreement to "terms" with a fee, before examining or considering any deletions and corrections of their errors on us. Their terms are objectionable. They site as their "public" source [redacted] and [redacted] which are erroneous. Each company including PeopleFinders.com all report errors on us and there are hundreds of similar outstanding complaints by consumers reporting unresolved issues of same problem. We want this erroneous information corrected or our names and reports completely deleted by this firm. Correction should include correction of address (we have never lived or done business in [redacted], TX) and are not related to, nor done business with, or even know the [redacted] family as they claim in their "Report". Desired Settlement: We [redacted] and [redacted] are requesting that PeopleFinders.com delete any and all references to every error. These errors include deletions in their their report of: 1)the [redacted] TX address, 2) any-all indicated relationships to the [redacted] family or their business.

The [redacted]' own and operate [redacted] for 45 years and lived in [redacted] TX ouw lifetime.

Failure to make error correction or deletions result in monatary damages which may be determined.

Unfortunately, there is no specific place to update your records. Public information is gathered in a variety of ways and every time you subscribe to magazines, have your phone number listed in the white pages, register to vote, or simply enter to win a car at the mall this information is gathered. We do not update or modify any of our records, simply display them as they have been reported to us. We apologize that we could not have been more help to you in this matter.

Our records do not show any requests for removal from you via mail or online. We are not required to remove any information from our website; however, we offer the option of removing to as a courtesy. We are not refusing to remove your information. We will remove this information from being searched on our site once we receive your online request.

To fulfill your opt out request you will need to follow the automated process online. You will need to click on "Help," at the bottom of any page. Please scroll to the "Privacy" section, click the fourth check mark down "How do I remove my information from your website?" Final Consumer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

The consumer(s) forwarded a letter of complaint dated 10-27-2913 with attachments and request to delete the erroneous information posted by PeopleFinders.com . It referenced all information they required to identify sites and complaints. Thus, their response dated 11-11-2013 ignors this written response request. This letter copy will be sent again via regular mail and contains our contact address, etc. Until the erroneous information is actually deleted from the internet postings, anything less is not acceptable. Note that hundreds of other consumers with similar compalints have been refused correction by this firm. Therefore their actions speak louder than their promises. I (we/& spouse) want the erroneous information deleted by this firm.

Final Business Response

As of September 2012 we launched a self-service online tool to allow people to manage their own public profile online. It is now your responsibility to remove your own listings using this online tool. This is the preferred method of removal. We now discourage any mailed-in opt outs. Again, you may use this online tool any time to remove your information yourself.
