We hired movers and packers for a move from Atlanta, GA to Raleigh, NCThe service and quality of service promised was not what was provided
We hired movers and packers for a move from Atlanta, GA to Raleigh, NC beginning The packing and moving was very stressful and we hired "professionals" to minimize stress We have two young children so minimizing stress was our ultimate goal *** Smith was very professional the entire time and made great promises, but then I felt like the execution of everything was completely the opposite of what we were told, which seemed misleading
I have spoke to people at Coleman and they basically told me that they provided a service and there was nothing they could do
Issues with Packing and Moving
Packing April
- people arrived to our home in Atlanta on April (Packing day) They were to pack our entire home and my mother-in-laws condo
- of the packers told us it was their first day They were not preparedThey didn

All promised goods not received Select electronic items missing from final delivery
We contracted with Coleman American/Allied Movers to move us from Panama City Beach to Jacksonville, FL After all boxes were unpacked, we noticed that all items related to Sony Playstation: games, consoles, controllers, accessories, transport cases, power outlets, and boxes, et al., were missing This was an insured move that cost over $13,and was insured for $100, An estimated $in goods went missing Claims were denied by the moving company and requested return correspondence (other than email) was refused After action review on the internet reveals that this is not a unique situation

We are missing items from our move that the company is stating they are not responsible for and no real effort has been made to follow up and find
After our move on November 22, we realized we were missing multiple itemsincluding a TV, steam cleaner and a few other small items I have followed up with the company including writing a letter to the corporate office in order to resolve the matter with no response from them I am asking that they either find my items or refund me for them Their stance is that due to the fact that there are no items missing from the manifest that we did not own them The issue with that is that the move on the front end was a disaster and needed multiple trucks and many items came off the truck without stickers I have followed their procedure to file a claim and I am not satisfied with their stance The company has not followed up after I sent a letter to ***, CEO and ***, Director

ALL of my personal items were to be delivered within days of the pickup date of 5/Now days later I still do not have my couch
The movers picked up all of my personal belongings on Wednesday 5/in Orlando, FLAs stated in our binding contract I was to receive all of my belongings within daysOn Sunday 6/one mover showed up stating that he had everything but my couch which is noted in his notes left in the delivery paperworkHe was told they had contacted me and made we aware it would soon arriveThey did notAfter several failed attempts via phone and emails to my local contact (***) a secretary gave me the number to file a claimThe local movers in charge of my move have had little to no communication with me and never returned calls or emails since the delivery of all other items occurredI had to file a claim with Allied Van Lines their parent company The claim adjuster (***) with Allied said the couch had been found in NJ and would

Poor business practices - item lost for four months, found, then no progress in having it delivered
1) This form would not allow me to choose the correct location This complaint should be placed under the Nashville, TN location at WTrinity Lane
2) In November 2014, my household goods were packed and placed into storage by Coleman Worldwide Moving due to an overseas military move During the pack-out, my husband repeatedly expressed concern about his tools and asked that his 13-drawer toolbox be packed empty and the tools individually inventoried and stored The movers adamantly declined our request stating that since the tool box locked, it should be stored full and locked When we returned to the US in July 2017, our household goods were delivered from Nashville to Olympia and the toolbox was not present After discussing with the manager, *** on numerous occasions, before even a month had passed, he advised my husband to 'just file a claim.' When my hus

The Shawnee, KS location "disposed" of our personal property without our permission or notifying us while storing our items during a move
We recently completed a move from WA state to KS state June, Excellent notes were made of all our items including our custom made Italian furniture, our private wine collection from overseas etcWe have a bottle by bottle inventory as well as all liquor permitsWe were present and inspected all initial packing and loading of our personal property onto the moving truck, and at that time we noticed no problems or difficulties
Our goods had arrived in KS before we arrived and therefore necessitated some time in storageThe total amount of time in storage was approximately days between arrival of our goods and delivery to our homeUpon delivery of our goods we discovered that many of our goods had been severely damaged This includes having a mirror completely snapped off a motorcycle, a wooden bookcase completely shattered rendering it

Improper care to include packing, transport and delivery Excessive damage Professional negligence
I secured Allied/Coleman as my mover for an interstate move The company was employed to pack my goods as well as store and then deliver them The goods were packed on 7/25/They were loaded on 7/26/ My "load" was to be taken to a warehouse, crated and transported to Charleston, SC for storage until delivery Ultimately, my goods were delivered on 9/7/
My goods were packed and loaded as above; however, they, per records were crated at an unknown time (there is no documentation of crating; however, approximately 70% of my goods were delivered from crates; the other 30% were not) My good were not, as per contract, initially crated nor were they stored in SC but they were apparently taken from the truck and put in a warehouse in Pensacola, FL
Upon delivery, I discovered that many of my high-ticket items were either missing or damagedI have many pieces of

Coleman in FL: mover packed March 28,'16, several items- missing or damaged
Company is liable for full replacement value for goods lost!
Leak in van, many items water damagedboxes missingI am still realizing several things were not delivered Driver had non- employee help unload van I was told to just write down the boxes with no tags and the driver , who delivered late at night, just put an X on inventory as they were "dumped in my apartmentDriver was very rushed, so l was not given time to check contents of each box When I unpacked I realized there were many items missing including my Franciscon China and Serling silver service for I n fact I am still realizing other things that are missing Adjuster closed case writing a trace for missing items and boxes was negative
I am years old , have moved several times and have never had this problemThe water staining in itself was too much For example water stained a sampler my grandmother made in This

Relocation from *** to ***
What started out as what was thought to be a routine family relocation turned out to be a nightmare ending with poor customer serviceThe packers arrived at our home in Augusta GAWho I thought was very professional (at that time) through out the day they begin to tell me what was there job to pack and the loaders jobThey packed up items I told them not to pack and when I had them reopen the box they seemed frustrated Day loaders arrived and third party and began to load my items Third party tried to leave without completing the job they were paid to do stating they had other jobs Loaders showed me items such as bedding that was not packed up by packersUpon arrival at our new home in ***s It was discovered items and parts missing and a parts box that was created by Jackie only had the items that was placed in there by myself which was my grandfather clock pieces she advised me that it was f

Were hours late Did not come with enough packing boxes Loaded the truck poorly Many items damaged in transit Then Allied argued with us about covering the damaged products, even though we purchased replacement cost coverage
I would not recommend Coleman or Allied Moving to anyonePeriod

Trying to make this review short and it is based on personal experience -- unethical companyI would like to start off with saying we are easy going very prepared good people who appreciate service workers by providing cold drinks, cool air, restaurant purchased food, and generous tipsWe are veteran movers and labeled all the boxes accordingly to the room they were being moved into once at the new placeOur items were color coded with numbers or words just in case a worker could not read"DS" the service rep over quoted our moving weight the day he came to give us the estimate.....to make more money upfrontThis was immediately stated the day the driver and crew showed up that we were over quoted in weight and it was proved when the move was completed I saw a copy of the actual weight which was thousands of pounds less than what we were charged forWe had several pieces of furniture and items damaged with the move and YES we did pay for the extra coverageColeman including the service reps "DS" and "PR" never made good on the extra coverage so the employees and company STOLE money from usThey make commission on selling the extra coverageI contacted them through email and text messages with no reply to help me get the process startedOn the day of the move the driver started STRIPPING the screws out of my custom made bed "DS" actually called me to say it would cost US $to have someone come out to get the bed apart since the driver was having problems1st: I was told they could take anything apart, 2nd: It was his fault -- the screws were star shaped and he knew it before taking the bed apartBUT the driver in the end was cool and worked with us, the bed has mismatched screws but at least he attempted to fix it with an apologyI filled a complaint here on Revdex.com and it has been "resolved" in their favor why or how I do not know considering they overestimated and stole from usThroughout the process Coleman either wouldn't reply or delayed responding.....what does that say about themAnd again since I am an organized person I submitted the quote, the pic of the actual weight, and the unanswered emails and texts....apparently they do not care of integrity or upholding their customer valuesI WILL NEVER use them again because of how unethical they are, they did not only steal from adults but children as well and could care less how they treat peopleDo not think you can call the 1-number for assistance either that is a dead end they tell you to contact your local agent of which I did several times in a professional courteous manner and nothing in reply

I have an overall good experience moving from New Orleans to Chicago this year
Pros:
Pricing stayed the same
Not one glass/decorative item was broken
Aaron R*** and Joan A*** (in NOLA) were professional and answered questions patiently
Cons:
The couch wasn't wrapped at all for the move - so it need some cleaning on delivery
A couple of low value book shelves were broken in transit
Again, overall a pleasant experienceIt would be great to have an estimate of packing time since it took until 10PM for packing day

Coleman American charged for packing more boxes than they actually packed and also charged for moving more weight than they actually moved
Coleman American packed some of my household goods in *** on 8/14/They loaded my furniture and household goods in Hilton Head on 8/15/and delivered these goods to *** on 8/17/
Coleman's INVOICE NUMBER was ***
They charged me for moving 12,pounds, however the weight tickets that Coleman supplied show that they only moved 11,pounds
They charged me for packing dish packs, however their HOUSEHOLD GOODS DESCRIPTIVE INVENTORY only lists dish packs
They charged me for packing mirror containers/crates, however their HOUSEHOLD GOODS DESCRIPTIVE INVENTORY only lists mirror containers/crates
All of the above figures are taken directly from paperwork that Coleman sent me
I emailed Coleman about these apparent overcharges on 9/26/ My email included the ITEM NUMBERS for the dish p

We had goods which were delivered broken to our houseColeman refused to reimburse even with a zero deductible insurance policy
We recently used Coleman to move intrastateContract date 6/10/2017, initial pick up date 7/13/The company knew we were doing a stop drop off (storage unit and home) but encouraged us to buy a more expensive ($563) zero deductible insurance plan sold by *** ***During our move (7/13-15/2017), we had goods which were damaged during the move to a storage unit and to our new home Items damaged include a *** (*** *** ***, purchase 1/8/@ $234),a crib (Graco crib base, purchased 6/15/@$125), and a trash can (HomeZone 45-Liter Stainless Steel Rectangular Step Trash Can )The chiminea and crib were delivered to our house, while the trash can was delivered to the storage unitUpon arrival at the home, the moving crew tried to hide that the chiminea was broken and even tried to drive off with itHowever, when w

General Manager *** did not fulfill the agreement of the government contact
It start when the moving company (Coleman) called me on May to say that they would not be able to deliver unaccompanied goodsThis would not be delivered until June which originally should been deliver three weeks after pick up April I had to go to location to get my goodsI was contacted again to inform me of a delay with the household goodsThese items had a addition days delivery of July The workers (*** and *** the driver) were AWESOME workersI would recommend this work crew to any and all associatesThan there was one piece of equipment not put together, the exercise machine, which the worker called, about 11am, way in advance that morning, to inform the General Manager ***A lady (*** as I recall her name) called me to inform me that she would send someone to put the machine back togetherLater the evening as thing were getting wrapped up, I ask t

Coleman Allied were paid high bucks instead they handled my households disrespectfully: lost, broke, scratched many items, delivered my furniture wet
On July 14, I hired Coleman moving services through the broker *** that promised a unique moving experienceThe day of the truck loading at the origen place in ***, TN, the truck and crew showed up hours lateThen the broker *** changed the storage facility to ***, Flinstead of ***, TnThe big surprise came on September 21, when the deliver crew unloaded my household: to begin with the tool box #disappeared with all the screws, nuts and bolts to assembly my furnitureColeman have to hired a third party to came and assembly my tables and it took a couple of days
Secondly, many boxes and furniture items such as the sofas, chairs and others were dumped
Third, many furniture were scratched and/or broken: the hutch, the china cabinet (broken and scratched), buffet (leg broken), ceramic vases

Contracted military PCS move from Coleman Hawaii did not finish on time resulting in me paying additional rent and causing mental distress
I had a contracted military PCS move scheduled for May 17,& to support me flying off the island of Oahu on the 22ndOf the days scheduled Coleman Hawaii movers only showed up on the 18th with one worker and did not finish packingThis resulted in the move not being executed in timeI attempted to call several times over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of May and was told that alot of people had to move outThis left me in an extreme situation as I had to move out of my house and fly out on the 22nd with my household goods not packedThe movers eventually showed up on the afternoon of the 22nd too late for me to move out on timeThis resulted in me being penalized $for an extra day of rentI am demanding that Coleman Movers compensate me due to them breaching their contract

Hiring C*** Allied was a horrible decision that has resulted in over $100,in damages and taking them to court where they lost We had a move from SoCal to Colorado where our load was put into storage for one month For reasons NEVER explained Allied took our entire load OUT of storage in their parking lot and reloaded it into another truck during a series of rain storms They then decided to wrap everything in plastic and blankets while still wet and load into their truck for a day journey to Colorado Needless to say their science experiment worked as when it arrived to Colorado everything was either molded, warped or completely wrecked
The only saving grace was the driver took photos of what happened while everything was sitting outside in the rain EVIDENCE
We filed a claim which took almost months to resolve We asked for the storage fee of almost $6,to be reimbursed which they refused A small claims case was initiated and after over a year and court appearances, judges ruled in our favor and they still refuse to pay the judgement
John C*** the VP of Allied Coleman sent letters saying they did nothing wrong, Matt G***, the GM showed up in Court denying he had been served by our process server I would strongly suggest that anyone considering this company look elsewhere Lies, Lies, Lies, Lies.....no accountability

Not given any guidance on how to file my damaged moving claim
I had a move this month using covan world wide, our stuffed arrived with damages, missing stuffExplain to the rep what and how it happenHave not received any way of filing my claim for damage furniture
