My 1st experience with Allied Movers in was positive They moved us from Ohio to Georgia with very minimal damage and what was damaged they either paid for or had fixed very fast
In March of we moved from Georgia to Tennessee so I called them again The agent drove down and generated a very detailed inventory list and came up with a quote on the spot The surprise was with the insurance To cover all the contents at a replacement value of $per pound with zero deductible was almost $! As we were only allowed a maximum of $for the move from my new employer, we had to take the default insurance of only $0.6/lb
The movers arrived on the day they were supposed to with two (2) - foot trucks/ We had packed all of our belongings ourselves so they basically had to load the trucks After they had left that afternoon, I spent a lot of time picking up wrappers and banana peels that were left in the yard from their lunch I also discovered that when they left they had hit my driveway entrance pole that holds my gate , splitting a board, and never bothered to tell me
The biggest surprise came when they unloaded days later at our new house in Tennessee We discovered a lot of damage to our washer and dryer, furniture, and various items that were carefully packed in boxes (see photo's at the end) I found out that the had off loaded all our things from the original trucks to a 18-wheeler which they drove to a city miles from our house in TN, and then off loaded everything again to a U-Haul rental truck So all our things were handled times which increases the likelihood of damage
A lady called me from Allied - Coleman to do a survey and I attempted to tell her all that had happened It was obvious her main objective was that I give her a number from to so she could complete her task and get off the phone
I filed a claim first on the washer as it was the most expensive item that was severely damaged This is her response:
At this time I have concluded my review of your claim and arranged for a check in the amount of $as settlement of your claim and the breakdown is as follows:
Washing Machine Max Allowance Lbsx = $
TOTAL $
Our review of your paperwork indicated that you selected cents per pound valuation to cover your possessions during your moveUnder this provision, our maximum liability it limited to cents times the weight of your item, the cost of repair, the actual cash value, or the amount claimed, whichever is leastThe guideline that is used for the weight of an item is the American Moving and Storage Association Table of Weights and Depreciation Guide
Our accounting department will issue the payment and it will be sent to you separately within to business days
We again regret that you found it necessary to file a claim and apologize for any inconvenience caused
Thank you ~
Kind Regards,

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had In retrospect I should have rented my own truck and equipment and hired some of the local youth to help load and unload I probably would have saved 1/the money and had very little if any damage to our things
I would never, ever use Allied Coleman again nor do I recommend them

Pickup was delayed hours due to a flat tire and delivery was delayed days due to transmission issuesPhone calls not returned
Pickup was scheduled at 8:30am, we received a phone call close to 10am stating there was a flat tire and the truck was delayed At 11am the company sent three workers to begin to inventory but when I called the office to check on the truck Dawn had no idea what happenedThe truck finally arrived at 3pm to begin loading our items but until then all of our boxes sat in the driveway in degree heat
Delivery was schedule to be between 11am-12pm on Monday, but due to transmission issues the truck was delayed When I called Dawn with concern she was aware, but there wasn't a truck available to make the delivery At 2pm, the truck had still not left and due to the travel time and unload time the truck was not going to depart until the following day delaying my delivery days
When I called with concerns on both occasions I was told that ***

The movers from Coleman damaged the wood floors of my house and are refusing to repair them despite me paying for "insurance"
I moved from Marietta GA to Calhoun GA using Coleman American moving services (located out of Fairborn GA) on 9-17-The moving sales man name is *** I purchased moving "insurance"The movers damaged the newly refinished floors in my year old houseI called immediately to discuss damage to my floors as well as to personal property damaged in the moveI was given a form to fill out regarding personal property damage and was told not to include floor damage on the form as that would be handled by their "in house floor people"I sent in the damage claim form to Eagle Claims Service (insurance company that I paid for) and never heard from either them nor ColemanI initiated all contact with Coleman - speaking with *** and *** with Coleman movingI called multiple times and sent multiple emails regarding repair/reimbur

Grossly negligent, moved not by a professional team but a mother, father and small sonBroke countless belongings religious and otherwise worth 1000s
- charged my card 3x as much as I authorized them to, before the move rather than waiting till delivery like the contract said
- Lied about who would be moving, said it was a team of pros, not a family with a small son, wife and husband
- maliciously or just through gross negligence destroyed many pieces of furniture, a priceless fender rhodes organ from the 70s, shabbat candles commemorating our family who died in the holocaust, and countless other things
- reached out to everyone at the company I knew (sales guy named *** and coordinator) to ask if I could talk to a supervisor about the insane amount of damage doneThey both refused, Jess the salesman insulting me and making fun of the way I spoke, *** just saying she couldn't give me anything and I had no recourse
- I tweeted out to the CEO and Customer Care and C

Ascertained Coleman Worldwide Moving, LLC to facilitate full service move from Seattle, WA to Atlanta, GA, and extensive damage done to property
I hired Coleman Worldwide Moving to facilitate a full-service move from my home in Seattle, WA to Atlanta, GA The move included full packing of all of my belongings, loading, transit and unloading of my property My property was not properly wrapped and protected during the move, resulting in multiple destroyed items and extensive damage to my furniture Additionally, a number of high value items were stolen (lost) during the move I escalated the concerns immediately to Coleman specifically regarding the high value items which were stolen A few days following the delivery of the belongings a few additional boxes were "found" and some items returned, however, a number of items have yet to be returned Additionally, I escalated the extensive damage to the Quality Manager at Coleman and was assured the matter would be handled promptly

Delivery Issues and Damages
My Name is *** and I am writing to voice my unbelievably bad experience using Coleman Worldwide/Allied for my cross country move I moved from Nebraska to New Jersey so this was not a cheap move including the storage while I found a new home Upon finding a place to live and notifying Coleman in Omaha I was given a estimated delivery date of July 11-13th I called towards the end of June to confirm the balance of my payment was paid and had TWO different people tell me my things were being loaded and ready to ship On July 12th I still had not heard anything from the company as to when my things would be delivered After multiple calls and emails to both Omaha, the destination center in NJ I was not getting answers nor could anyone tell me where my things were at I finally got a hold of someone at corporate who informed me my stuff had not even shipped out of Omaha yet!
Omaha was not answering my calls or emails until corporate interven

Coleman moved me from Texas to ColoradoThey did not deliver some shelves that fit my bookcases, but I did not know that when I signed the bill of lading after delivery (who can review the thousand individual part numbers delivered?)of shelves were not delivered and they refuse to cover them because I signedNEVER sign off -- wait months if you must -- because they'll screw you royally

issues with moving company and with movers!
We had went with this company due to my father being very sick, who has recently passed awayThe moving experience was a total nightmareThe movers were supposed to shrink wrap our furniture and then wrap heavy blankets on our stuff, they didn'tThis box isn't going to be enough to explainWhat all happenedThe movers literally packed fragile thing very poorly, and caused damage to a bunch of our furnitureNot only that, they said that they couldn't take the doors off of the refrigerator to get it moved into it's locationThen they left all of the boxes in the driveway and also left all of the big furniture in the house in piecesMy son and I had to move everything on to the back porch because they just left everything on the drivewayWe have pictures of everything that was doneThe drivers dropped off everything and then just drove off, without us signing for anything As soon as that happened we immediately called the guy who se

Thoroughly unprofessional moving serviceDamaged home, refuses to respond to calls, complaints
In June of this year, we moved from ***, Kansas to the ***Our shipment was approximately 13,poundsLocal Manhattan, KS company decided to truncate a four-day process into twoWe voiced our concerns to the local 'quality assurance' (QA) specialist from the transportation officeWe expressed our grievances over the manner of packing, the haste in which it was being done, the abject rudeness of the team leader, and made note of the physical damage being done to our residenceThe QA guy calmly conveyed our concerns to the team leader, with whom he was on a first-name basis, and with whom there was no cooperationThe QA guy merely expressed exasperation of his inability to affect any change and advised us on the claims process
When the pack-out was completed, the movers vanished like thieves in the night before we could get to the usual damage claim form we have

days past the promised delivery date, and refusing to pay the promised reimbursements
Delivered days late past the guaranteed delivery date, lied when they would answer the phone about where the furniture was and when it would be delivered, promised reimbursement for lodging, food and incidentals directly related to the delay Have now refused the reimbursement We requested a refund of part of the 10,paid due to the dishonest service, and were denied

Our household goods was picked up in *** ** June 26th, Originally is was to be delivered between the first and tenth That was changed by them between the ninth and seventeenth Today is July 22nd and we find it was shipped yesterday because we called to ask where it was At the time it was still in *** I am handicapped and use a walker most the time If it entails a lot of walking, I use a wheel chair which was shipped I need it!

Unfairly overcharged for cross country move Company unwilling to honor initial estimate
On 12/1/I received an estimate for moving items from VA to CAI was sent a written estimate from Nick for $4,for 4,pounds of goods to be moved Shortly before the move I wanted to add a few more items and called Nick to describe the items I then received another estimate for $5,for 5,pounds of goods to be movedAt the time I thought it was high given the items I added but signed because the move was a few days away Upon completion of my move to CA, I have documentation of the final weight of my move being 4,lbs ( which is very close to the first estimate I was given and grossly overestimated in the second estimate.) Coleman America charged me $5,stating a discount from the second estimate My issue is that my move total was just 40lbs over the initial estimate I feel I was honest enough to call and make them aware of the additional items I wante

They overcharged us & did not deliver for five weeks beyond the promised dateWe told them we could not download until the 12th but did the 9th
We were told the cost would be $to move from *** NM to *** CoThat was to include them packing and moving itWe ended up packing about half of the stuff and were not given but $creditWe were promised they would pick up by the 7thThe truck that they sent was overloaded and the driver called them around 9am requesting a second truckWe did not get that truck until 8pm that night!!! We also told them that we cannot download the truck to our new home until the 12th of JanuaryThe driver informs us that he had to be to Chicago for another load and had to download the 9th even though we were clear that we could not until the 12thWe were not told that the second load would go to El Paso's warehouse and not be delivered for additional weeksIn fact they promised delivery by the 15th of JanuaryIt did not get to us u

My experience with Coleman Allied has been a nightmare, from beginning to end!
My family just relocated from FL to GA Before our move, my husband solicited quotes from professional moving companies for a few reasons: we had accumulated quite a bit of personal belongings since our last move, my husband didn't want to have to load and unload the contents himself, and we wanted to ensure that our items did not incur damage
The rep that came to do out quote was very professional and well-spoken, and in the end, we chose to do business with Allied Van Lines That was the end of our positive experience The day of the move, a 16ft box truck arrives We had reserved a semi After waiting around for hours hoping for a resolution, we finally agree to let them load our belongings As expected, we had a lot of overflow We were told that a second truck would come the next morning at 8:00am to finish gathering and loading our things Well, the next day at 4pm, the driver ca

Allied is refusing to fix the damage they caused on my stairs
The previous owners of our house(***) hired Allied to move them out January 9thThe movers damaged the finish on our hardwood floorsA claim was filed January 24th by the previous owners ( ***)and allied was notified to handle the claim through meAllied sent someone out to review and give a quote for repair but have done NOTHING to fix the problemI have called and emailed over and over but get no resultI even emailed the director of CS but no answerI keep being told my claim "somehow fell through the cracks"I know they are just giving us the run aroundI even offered to settle for whatever the estimate was and WE would have the repairs done, they just continue to do NOTHINGmonths with NO action is ridiculous!!

When we interviewed the salesperson (*** *** to move our furniture from Fayetteville, GA to our new home in *** ***, FL, He promised us a per cent reduction in cost because I am retired military He said all we had to do was show my retired military ID card to the driver at the time of delivery I showed my military ID card to the driver at the completion of our furniture delivery as instructed
After a few days when we had not heard anything from the moving company, we called and talked to *** She informed us that she did not know of a policy to reduce our bill by percent She promised to check with management and get back to usAfter hours when she didn't call us back we called *** again She informed us that her manager didn't know of such a policy We suggested she talk to the salesperson (*** *** and find out what was going on The next day when she didn't call us back we called her back to find out what MrCorley had to say Her response

Were hours late Did not come with enough packing boxes Loaded the truck poorly Many items damaged in transit Then Allied argued with us about covering the damaged products, even though we purchased replacement cost coverage
I would not recommend Coleman or Allied Moving to anyonePeriod

Coleman moved me from Texas to ColoradoThey did not deliver some shelves that fit my bookcases, but I did not know that when I signed the bill of lading after delivery (who can review the thousand individual part numbers delivered?)of shelves were not delivered and they refuse to cover them because I signedNEVER sign off -- wait months if you must -- because they'll screw you royally

Upon using this moving company, we found that we needed to finish the job ourselves since there wasn't enough room left on the truck
April move from ***

Our furniture arrived at our new location with damage to multiple major pieces
Mahogany dining room table was delivered with scratches and dents on top and a large gray water stain on a previously pristine surface; matching sunroom chairs were delivered and one was sliced with box cutter ruining an expensive chair; finally, matching bedroom reading floor lamps were delivered with one irreparably damaged For just those three items we were offered roughly 20% of estimated repair costs And this does not even address the many other damaged piecesNumerous pieces can undergo minor repairs in house but several large pieces have to be picked up and repaired in a shop; Also many pieces of upholstered furniture need hand marks cleaned out of fabricColeman has a detailed copy of our insurance claim with item by item descriptions
