We had contracted Allied to move us from *** From the first day of their arrival to move us to the last item unpacked in Louisiana there was nothing except misinformation, unreturned phone calls, damaged items and lastly the fight with the insurance company to pay us for the broken and damage furniture and items which happens to be owned by Allied It was the worst move we have ever had Granted it was a complicated move butthat what's we paid for I could never recommend them to anyone
Product_Or_Service: Moving
Excessive moving charges without final receipt
Coleman said: I must ask that you provide full payment preauthorization for the difference of $1, This amount will only be pre-authorized and will be pending until the driver submits his documents This is standard procedure and if in fact the packing of the mirror cartons has changed, it will reflect in the driver's documents, and your balance will be adjusted accordingly Driver's documents have not yet been submitted
Coleman went ahead and charged me the without providing the final driver's documents I asked for the driver's document but they never sent it and never replied That amount is in addition to the original estimate of $ The original weight estimate was for lbsI had to add more stuff to be moved which increased the estimated weight by 19.76% to a second estimate of lbs Yet, the 1,that they added was 26% of the original $It does not make sense that the percent i
Moving agent overestimated the move, said he'd be at the loading to adjust if necessary, never showed and overcharged by nearly $
Moving agent overestimated our load by 2,lbs - information given to us by his own officeStated he'd personally supervise the loading and adjust the weight if necessary as we specifically told him we'd be taking many of the items ourselvesNever heard from him after contractingUnlike all other moving contracts, he used the wrong one for our move which locked us into a price inflated by nearly $Contact at the office gave us the information that we were overcharged and weight was grossly over-inflated but "graciously" gave us $offWe cancelled the second stop and refused to pay the additional chargeWe have now paid them the inflated amount, overpaid $800, so that we can get our furniture
Entrusted Allied Worldwide Moving company to move our belongings to storage and then to new home, in the process over $8,worth of damage occurred
Allied Worldwide moving was hired to move our belongings from *** to storage and then to new home in *** We paid over $for Extra Protection insurance since we have a lot of valuable items in our home through Allied Worldwide Moving When our belongings were delivered, there was over $8,in damaged items The damage demonstrated a level of disregard for our belongings that was stunning! Our king footboard was cracked on the front and completely broken off in the back, an antique cedar chest leg was broken off and piece missing, antique painting frame split in two, pole lamp light post completely bent, table saw switch broken, several small appliances damaged, pots broken, antique shutters broken, etcplus a wrench and socket set were missingWe reported all of this to Allied Worldwid
I am hoping to just save other from the same experience I had with Allied Please do not use this company for your moving needs! If I could rate them negative stars if I would
If you want to know the horrible details of my move, please read on
The first day they were scheduled to show at am and didn't show up until 1pm I had to reach out to them to see where they were and not until I did this did they show up
That night they left one of my pricey oriental rugh out in the front porch It would have been ruined if I left it out so I struggled to get it back in the house
Before they left they informed me they would be back at am the next morning They didn't show until am the next day I had to reach out to get them to come back even though the job was scheduled for two days The second day they didn't finish moving all the furniture
They said they would be back the next day to finish up They never showed!
So again I had to reach out to them They arranged for different movers to come back the next day They said they would be there around 2pm When no one showed by pm, I reached out again Finally they sent some movers
The movers they sent refused to move the remaining furniture as they said it was too big and they didn't have enough guys (guys were sent) even though the company was made aware of what was remaining
I called again and they scheduled movers to come out they next morning They only sent three movers again So my husband had to help them load a piano and a golf cart
When the first load arrived at the destination, the driver waited at the wrong location for minutes I reached to see where he was and he stated he was knowingly at the wrong address but didn't think there was anything else down the rode so didn't want to go any further down the road to find the correct address When he finally got to the right address he only had guy there to help the him unload Yet again my family had to step up and help them unloadSo basically Allied was using my family as free labor and not providing the contractual agreements upon staff Finally additional movers arrived but it was much later in the day
When second load arrived, only the driver was there to unload a golf cart and piano so again my family had to help My father who is and my brother who has cancer has to assist with these items
I have reached out so many times over the course of the move to inform them of the situation They always were very sorry but never worked to improve it
The contact I had with Allied stated that she would not run the payment on credit card until we discussed the situation furtherThey next day the charge hit my credit card for the full $21,
Additionally they charged me for things they didn't deliver They charged third party shipping/packing on the piano and on two glass tables The third party refused to pack the glsss tables and only partially disassembled the piano But these charges were not taken off the bill
Company is absolutely horrible! The general manager has told lie after lieSlow, unprofessional and not trustworthyIt took them seven hours to pack boxes, of which were simple tv'sThey left our good out in the rain and leftBroke our glass table tops and hid itIllegally wrapped our mattress in Saran Wrap and placed our lawnmower on top of our unprotected new lazy boy reclinersWhen confronted on listed condition of item, the packet could not find the mildew, cracks, dents that he documented and just told me I could write that I didn't agreeMissed inventory on itemsHoles in our wall and drug our refrigerator up the ramp on its sideI could go on foreverGlad I took photos and videos
Unfairly overcharged for cross country move Company unwilling to honor initial estimate
On 12/1/I received an estimate for moving items from VA to CAI was sent a written estimate from Nick for $4,for 4,pounds of goods to be moved Shortly before the move I wanted to add a few more items and called Nick to describe the items I then received another estimate for $5,for 5,pounds of goods to be movedAt the time I thought it was high given the items I added but signed because the move was a few days away Upon completion of my move to CA, I have documentation of the final weight of my move being 4,lbs ( which is very close to the first estimate I was given and grossly overestimated in the second estimate.) Coleman America charged me $5,stating a discount from the second estimate My issue is that my move total was just 40lbs over the initial estimate I feel I was honest enough to call and make them aware of the additional items I wante
Repeated unauthorized charges to my bank account
I have had repeated UNAUTHORIZED charges against my checking account from this companyMy most recent payment to this company was paid December 4th in the amount of $and I SPECIFICALLY put in the comments section "This is not a recurring paymentThis is a regular payment for ***The ONLY amount authorized is $500.00."
But TODAY on the 23rd of December they pulled an additional $dollars from my bank account! Now my wife and I have a negative account balance in our bank account two days before Christmas
We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Allied Van Lines, both in Chicago and in FloridaOur move from Chicago to Orlando was absolutely seamless (even in the middle of a hurricane!)They were completely communicative with us the entire time, and they made the entire process feel easy and free of stressIn Seminole County in Florida, I'd like to specifically mention Todd, who was an excellent help for our next move--communicative, professional, on-time and trustworthyYou can't pick better or more reliable movers
Our moving coordinator failed to coordinate our move correctly and the driver abandoned our belongings
6/28th the packers were set to arrive at amThey didn't arrived until pmThey sent a guy and a girlThe guy was originally one who worked in the office but they sent home into the field this day6/All of our things weren't loaded and sent to the warehouse like they were suppose to be7/The international delivery driver abandoned our belongings instead of picking them up to ship7/Shannon Davis told us our things are waiting to be assigned a driverI also spoke to Jon Combs7/Shannon Davis informed us that our belongings will be delivered at 7/In our contract that we signed and have prepaid approximately $10,for this move stated a delivery spread of 7/11-7/
The coleman/allied I am making a complain is in *** .cathey never delivered my furniture and belongings and it's over a week now.No answers
May my furniture was taken out for the warehouse in *** *** .ca My furniture was suppost to be delivered to me in Deerfield beach florida between june through the 8thSo far I been in Florida for a week an still I never received my furnitureWhen I call them they blow me off and give me no answers They pretend they don't know what day I will get my stuff but they are lying The days I was support to get my furniture they told me it was still in san Diego warehouse

issues with moving company and with movers!
We had went with this company due to my father being very sick, who has recently passed awayThe moving experience was a total nightmareThe movers were supposed to shrink wrap our furniture and then wrap heavy blankets on our stuff, they didn'tThis box isn't going to be enough to explainWhat all happenedThe movers literally packed fragile thing very poorly, and caused damage to a bunch of our furnitureNot only that, they said that they couldn't take the doors off of the refrigerator to get it moved into it's locationThen they left all of the boxes in the driveway and also left all of the big furniture in the house in piecesMy son and I had to move everything on to the back porch because they just left everything on the drivewayWe have pictures of everything that was doneThe drivers dropped off everything and then just drove off, without us signing for anything As soon as that happened we immediately called the guy who se
I had a scheduled delivery appointment and the company failed to deliver my goodsI am sitting in a place with no bedding and nothing to cook with
t a saying his truck was broken they were not comingThere were several options available to the i
t at this company available, for example they could have rented from ***, ***, ***, or any other rental agency for a small moving truck to deliver my items today! I have had zero customer service
I had a scheduled delivery of ONLY 500lbs of household goods today July between 0800-I got a phone call from some i
I had watches and a necklace stolen by employees of the company when performing packing services
I hired Coleman Allied to assist with packing and moving my belongings from Houston, TX to Irvine, CA on Sept26, I was informed by the company that items within drawers would not need to be removed for the transport I had Movado watches and a necklace within my nightstand prior to the packers and movers arriving to my residence When my items arrived in Irvine, CA, both watches and necklace were missing, but their respective boxes were still within the nightstand I filed a police report as well as claim form to the company but for some reason no investigation into this matter ever occurred Coleman Allied is refusing to take responsibility for their employees stealing my watches and necklaces and I haven't received any compensation for my losses
Allied removed items from my home in Las Vegas with proper paddingIt arrived in Tennessee in thin plasticMultiple furniture items were damagedWe paid Allied in full to pick up our belongings on 8/to drive to MurfreesboroThey called the day before stating a truck broke down and they would not be able to load our belongings until 8/We informed them this was not workable for us because we had to leave our home prior to 8/After much stress they reported they had located a truck to pick up our items 8/The movers arrived on 8/who were contract workers with AlliedThey wrapped our furniture in pads and treated it with great careThey denied having a truck that broke downAllied had overbookedWhat Allied also failed to mention to us was our items would sit in a storage until a driver could transport them cross countryThis should have been explained in advance and we would have selected a different moving companyOur items arrived in Murfreesborro on 9/The movers and driver started moving items off the truckThey were wrapped in thin plastic but no furniture padsMultiple items were scratched, indented, and damagedMy husband mentioned contacting the credit card company to inform them of the issue to see if the charge should be disputedAllied started loading our items back on the truck and made a call to corporateThey threatened to leave with our stuff (which is highly illegal to hold your household goods hostage) and I called the policeCorporate then called me saying the driver loaded the truck back up due to inclamite weatherI asked, "What inclamite weather?" Not a rain drop in sightThe police spoke to them and they started unloading our items againOne of the movers stepped in dog poop and tracked it all through our placeSo far we've estimated in damagesThey were paid approximately to complete this job right and they were beyond negligentWe were blamed for crushed boxes by the driver because we didn't fill them high enoughInstead they shouldn't put heavy boxes on top of light onesItems itemized as damaged thus far include a makeup vanity, antique night stand, white plant stand, counter height stools, bookcases, a television stand, Maytag washer, black wooden desk, leather desk chair, night stand, hand painted dresserWe do have pictures of the items coming off the truck and damages
Nearly weeks since pickup and still waiting for delivery of my overflow household items
Our initial load was June 28th and they sent a truck that was already half fullThey could not fit all of our belongings on this truck so they had to send another the following dayThat second load contained many important items - clothes, kitchen table, kid's bikes, lawn equipment, rugs, TVs, etcIt took weeks to get a scheduled date for delivery of this second load with VERY limited communication in that timeYesterday was that scheduled delivery date and we called our "coordinator" to get a delivery time first thing in the morningShe was surprised the driver had not called us and said she would call us right backAfter several hours (and leaving voicemails with her) I called her cellShe informed me that the overflow truck was full and none of our stuff was loadedShe even had the nerve to blame me for expecting the delivery since the driver had not called hours in advance to

Coleman American charged for packing more boxes than they actually packed and also charged for moving more weight than they actually moved
Coleman American packed some of my household goods in *** on 8/14/They loaded my furniture and household goods in Hilton Head on 8/15/and delivered these goods to *** on 8/17/
Coleman's INVOICE NUMBER was ***
They charged me for moving 12,pounds, however the weight tickets that Coleman supplied show that they only moved 11,pounds
They charged me for packing dish packs, however their HOUSEHOLD GOODS DESCRIPTIVE INVENTORY only lists dish packs
They charged me for packing mirror containers/crates, however their HOUSEHOLD GOODS DESCRIPTIVE INVENTORY only lists mirror containers/crates
All of the above figures are taken directly from paperwork that Coleman sent me
I emailed Coleman about these apparent overcharges on 9/26/ My email included the ITEM NUMBERS for the dish p
Completely inept after the initial estimate and packing groupYou don't send a 2/full truck to pick up contents of a sq ft homeDriver refused to accept the fact that there was no way it would fitDriver had no tools or dolleys, and was completely unprepared to move gun safes that were clearly on the estimateDriver refused to call for second truck, which they conveniently call "overflow", until mid-day Saturday during an Alabama football game (of course there are no drivers available on a Saturday)
Original driver who is not qualified to work at a *** finally took his semi trailer back to yard in Huntsville and picked up a local truck to finish loadingWhen returning to HSV with the "local" truck, it was evident that he had no help unloading it, as many of the boxes and items were damaged (we suspect that they were tossed off the truck, as the items were packed well and many dishes shattered)
Unloading, the same driver still had no tools or dolleys, and we had a local safe mover handle the gun safes againCompletely ineptDriver stomping around acting like he was doing us a favor
After numerous phone calls and mis information from even Vice Presidents over the course of the next days, we finally saw our "overflow" shipment arrive in a condition that was completely horribleThe overflow driver stated that the condition of the boxes received were damaged before he picked them up from the HSV warehouse
Yes, many items damaged, not finished fighting with claims for damages yet If you can, avoid at all costs
The icing on the cake is the fact that this poor excuse for a company can't even process credit cards properlyThe entire move was paid for in advance, but they failed to process one of the paymentsThis has resulted in several collection letters and phone callsThe final payment due to their error was made today, and I received notification of another fun certified letter coming in the mail today
Maybe I should have waited more days to pay
