Trying to bill me for a shuttle I was told would not be a cost to me AFTER delivery had occurred, so there were no alternatives to pursue
Chose this company out of from a AAA referral agency for a FL- TX moveFelt great about the decision until I flew back to Florida to meet the movers, and they never showed upMy moving coordinator couldn't even figure out what was going on for over four hoursShe was sweet and I knew it wasn't her fault so I let it goFast forward a month to my furniture arriving in Texasthe driver called as he was getting close to the state to coordinate date and confirm detailsHe wasn't aware of the second stop I had requested to pick up a few things from my parents' house, but was fine to do itHe looked up my delivery address - a high rise which was mentioned in the quote process - and expressed concern on the ability to get his 70' tractor into the loading dock at the buildingAt his request I checked with my building manager who confirmed that w

Coleman screws over military families, losing crates of beloved items and not holding anyone accountable or reimbursing for missing essentials
Coleman takes advantage of military families for their own profit, accepting more military moves than they are equipped to handle, leaving families stranded for weeks-monthsWhen the Household Goods finally arrive, it is common to find entire crates missing, items destroyed beyond repair due to lack of accountability, and sometimes items are even reported stolen
After our recent PCS (GBL number ***), we received 75% of our things, more or less, about 3+ weeks laterAt origin destination (***), multiple things were done incorrectly and against company policy during our June move-out:
- No inventory done prior to packing, resulting in poorly labeled inventory ("box" or "tote" rather than names for items inside) - families later cannot prove what's missing;
- Head person in charge on moving day refused to list more t

Throughout the process customer service expectations were not met Promises were made and not followed up on Blame was passed along to other depts
We were scheduled for a Sales Rep to come give us a quote on July 5, The person scheduled did not show and another sales rep (***) called and came the next day Blame of someone quitting was the reason that they did not show on the first date and was a common theme through the process) The move was scheduled but days prior the sales rep called asking if were chose a different company, move date was move to later date During the move we encountered multiple problems and damage to our house All was documented and sent to the Move Coordinator (***) All she told us was to fill out forms for claims When asked questions about this she would not give us answers and not call back The bill was not presented at time of move (per our contract) for us to review but charged to our card a week later We called

Missing property upon move from Texas to Tennessee
I packed all of my personal property in plastic bins and boxesThe movers packed my TV, bed and bedroom furnitureUpon arrival to my new address boxes were missing and the driver told me I got everythingI had cordless power tools computer cord, drone missingThe company did their investigation and found the only reason baoxes on my list were not checked off were because they weren't loadedIt is my opinion that the loader helper may have been involved if not the driver since the loaders family sat in a car b=next door to my house the entire timeAlso at times they came up and stood at the end of the rampIt was not my feeling that customer packed boxes were not their responsibilityNo one knows the contents except the packer all though I know what was packed in the tools/garage boxesTry and prove itSo sad I put too much trust in the lady that signed me up, and the employees are not a representation of quality work or respo

My 1st experience with Allied Movers in was positive They moved us from Ohio to Georgia with very minimal damage and what was damaged they either paid for or had fixed very fast
In March of we moved from Georgia to Tennessee so I called them again The agent drove down and generated a very detailed inventory list and came up with a quote on the spot The surprise was with the insurance To cover all the contents at a replacement value of $per pound with zero deductible was almost $! As we were only allowed a maximum of $for the move from my new employer, we had to take the default insurance of only $0.6/lb
The movers arrived on the day they were supposed to with two (2) - foot trucks/ We had packed all of our belongings ourselves so they basically had to load the trucks After they had left that afternoon, I spent a lot of time picking up wrappers and banana peels that were left in the yard from their lunch I also discovered that when they left they had hit my driveway entrance pole that holds my gate , splitting a board, and never bothered to tell me
The biggest surprise came when they unloaded days later at our new house in Tennessee We discovered a lot of damage to our washer and dryer, furniture, and various items that were carefully packed in boxes (see photo's at the end) I found out that the had off loaded all our things from the original trucks to a 18-wheeler which they drove to a city miles from our house in TN, and then off loaded everything again to a U-Haul rental truck So all our things were handled times which increases the likelihood of damage
A lady called me from Allied - Coleman to do a survey and I attempted to tell her all that had happened It was obvious her main objective was that I give her a number from to so she could complete her task and get off the phone
I filed a claim first on the washer as it was the most expensive item that was severely damaged This is her response:
At this time I have concluded my review of your claim and arranged for a check in the amount of $as settlement of your claim and the breakdown is as follows:
Washing Machine Max Allowance Lbsx = $
TOTAL $
Our review of your paperwork indicated that you selected cents per pound valuation to cover your possessions during your moveUnder this provision, our maximum liability it limited to cents times the weight of your item, the cost of repair, the actual cash value, or the amount claimed, whichever is leastThe guideline that is used for the weight of an item is the American Moving and Storage Association Table of Weights and Depreciation Guide
Our accounting department will issue the payment and it will be sent to you separately within to business days
We again regret that you found it necessary to file a claim and apologize for any inconvenience caused
Thank you ~
Kind Regards,
Char
This was the worst moving experience I have ever had In retrospect I should have rented my own truck and equipment and hired some of the local youth to help load and unload I probably would have saved 1/the money and had very little if any damage to our things
I would never, ever use Allied Coleman again nor do I recommend them

All promised goods not received Select electronic items missing from final delivery
We contracted with Coleman American/Allied Movers to move us from Panama City Beach to Jacksonville, FL After all boxes were unpacked, we noticed that all items related to Sony Playstation: games, consoles, controllers, accessories, transport cases, power outlets, and boxes, et al., were missing This was an insured move that cost over $13,and was insured for $100, An estimated $in goods went missing Claims were denied by the moving company and requested return correspondence (other than email) was refused After action review on the internet reveals that this is not a unique situation

I was charged $more than my Guaranteed Not to Exceed Price
I contracted with Coleman to move my possessions from *** The move was Jan31, with delivery on Sunday, February
When the Coleman Rep came to our house to give us our estimate, he noted that since we had a front load washer, it would have to be serviced prior to the move so that the drum would not be damaged I was told that this cost was included in my Guaranteed Not to Exceed price of $
After loading was completed in Davenport, I received a call from Coleman's office (***)to see how the load went It went fine The washer was serviced by the outside agency and everything was loaded onto the truck to our satisfactionI asked *** when the service man would be arriving at our *** home to service our washer and make it "usable" again She informed me that that service was not included in my priceShe offered to set it up for us for an additional ch

Improper care to include packing, transport and delivery Excessive damage Professional negligence
I secured Allied/Coleman as my mover for an interstate move The company was employed to pack my goods as well as store and then deliver them The goods were packed on 7/25/They were loaded on 7/26/ My "load" was to be taken to a warehouse, crated and transported to Charleston, SC for storage until delivery Ultimately, my goods were delivered on 9/7/
My goods were packed and loaded as above; however, they, per records were crated at an unknown time (there is no documentation of crating; however, approximately 70% of my goods were delivered from crates; the other 30% were not) My good were not, as per contract, initially crated nor were they stored in SC but they were apparently taken from the truck and put in a warehouse in Pensacola, FL
Upon delivery, I discovered that many of my high-ticket items were either missing or damagedI have many pieces of

Our items were delivered damaged and were not properly valued during claims processWe have $in damage and they offered $
Items were delivered damaged and unusable
Our Tv and Antique decor were high value and now are uselessOur dishes were expensive china wear and our decor was of high valueThey are requesting a payment $but they ruined our personal belongings!

Horrid service - *** *** branch
*** ***, based here in ***, HI were responsible for my moveDelivered items on 26Octand that was by far the most unprofessional experience I had, up until that time, with military moversPrior to delivery I called twice and advised the company that I lived away from a street and there were multiple stairsSecond conversation the dispatcher laughingly commented "guess they will get their exercise." The crew that arrived consisted of very nice young men but their company over scheduled them so they didnt arrive until noonish, to unpack cratesThey were not equipped to handle it and though we got everyhing into the house, it was so late that nothing was unpacked or set upFound out the company pays by the volume of items moved per hour so not exactly the best treatment of my furnitureThis week I have called almost daily to schedule pick up of the rubbish (boxes/paper)Monday I was told they would come tuesday, so I moved every

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the moving company services providedThe whole process from packing the items to delivery
January 22,
Dear Sir/Madam,
RE: #XXXXXX
I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with your service
On January 16, the movers arrived to our new home at *** *** Dr., *** COThe
driver showed up with two gentlemen from the *** Springs officeThe truck did not contain any
floor coveringsI was told that she did not pack the truck and there weren't anyI said there will be no
one hauling items into our home without the floor coverings as we have brand new hardwood floors
After much back and forth, they finally agreed to go to the warehouse and retrieve themThe driver
that was sent revealed to me this was her first time driving and stated, she had to slam on the brakes
because she wasn't sure she would clear a bridge
Also, many comments were made about the packing of the item

move was quoted for 11,pds when in fact totaled only 7,pdsContract options were no explained to usStill have not received claim form
Received an estimate for our furniture to be moved from *** a moving consultant in the Fairburn GA office to our home in FL We have moved a good bit over years of marriage and have used this van line before with no problemThis time it is another story: I was informed there would be order to the move furniture first then boxes upon load, then out with furniture first then boxes upon arrival -- this didn't happen which isn't a stand alone deal breaker to use this company againI was also told that if there was a problem to let him know immediately because they "claim to make it right due to the military/government contracts" they have and they do not want a low star rating for this reasonMy feeling is that I have just been scammed out of hard earned moneyOn the day of arrival of our furniture to the new place of residence w

Our furniture arrived at our new location with damage to multiple major pieces
Mahogany dining room table was delivered with scratches and dents on top and a large gray water stain on a previously pristine surface; matching sunroom chairs were delivered and one was sliced with box cutter ruining an expensive chair; finally, matching bedroom reading floor lamps were delivered with one irreparably damaged For just those three items we were offered roughly 20% of estimated repair costs And this does not even address the many other damaged piecesNumerous pieces can undergo minor repairs in house but several large pieces have to be picked up and repaired in a shop; Also many pieces of upholstered furniture need hand marks cleaned out of fabricColeman has a detailed copy of our insurance claim with item by item descriptions

We had contracted Allied to move us from *** From the first day of their arrival to move us to the last item unpacked in Louisiana there was nothing except misinformation, unreturned phone calls, damaged items and lastly the fight with the insurance company to pay us for the broken and damage furniture and items which happens to be owned by Allied It was the worst move we have ever had Granted it was a complicated move butthat what's we paid for I could never recommend them to anyone

Coleman American packed my house in *** Florida, October 6, 2015, and loaded household goods October 7, When I unpacked boxes in my Edmond, Oklahoma, home, it was discovered that the packers had erroneously removed and packed four large glass shelves which were to remain in the entertainment center for the buyersI contacted *** with Coleman American and she advised that they would reimburse me for costs involved to return the shelves to the buyers of my home The buyers were remaining in their *** *** home until January, After they arrived in Florida, I sent the shelves via UPS to themI mailed a letter to Coleman American, attention ***, January 29, 2016, along with copies of charge slips totaling $ After repeatedly attempting to communicate with *** with no response, I contacted *** *** the Coleman American Representative I met with to arrange my move, and he advised he would be sure that I would be paid Now, he also won't re

Our experience with Coleman/Allied Worldwide handling our cross-state move (Alabama to North Carolina) was riddled with problemsWe have moved multiple times with other companies and never had issues like these
Our household goods were loaded appropriately onto a truckI was told at that time that this truck would be driven to our new location and unloadedHowever, this truck was unloaded into a warehouse without our consent, our items stayed there in the heat for an undisclosed amount of time, and most of our items were reloaded onto another truck holding another family's goodsSeveral of our items were left behind, including a queen Tempur-pedic mattressAlso, due to the size of this second truck, many of our items did not fit in the trailer, so they were loaded into the cab of the semi with the driver, who is a smokerAmong these items were couch cushions, the top-half of a recliner, and children's toys
Because of the multiple times our household goods were handled, our new sturdy moving boxes were smashed, crushed, and had large holes poked in themFurniture was banged up with very large marks left in wood and leatherItems not covered or sealed in boxes were dirtyBoxes that were opened allowed dirt and debris in with our packed goods
I followed the directions given to me to submit claims, which I didTheir online system, by the way, is extremely glitchy and frustratingOur mattress ultimately was located but confirmed damagedWe were given a check to purchase a replacementAs for the other items, we had to wait for a contracted inspector to come out to verify the damageShe did not confirm the smoke damage, and initially it was dropped from our claim, despite the driver admitting what he had done already(Why would that need to be confirmed weeks later by a third party?)
We had to do much back-and-forth to get the amount of our claims checks to be respectable for the items that we are now in the process of replacingIt was a very time consuming and stressful experience, and it didn't need to be We shouldn't have to fight to get our stuff fixed/replacedWe paid for the insurance
We were billed the full amount of our estimate, despite the fact that they included packing services that I had already told them during the in-home inspection that we would not needThey offered to discount that original full amount, but we knew we were overbilled, so we deducted that offered discount from the correct amount and paid thatThey sent our bill to collections and said they would stop payment on our claims checksOnly after we threatened legal action did we get an apology, an acknowledgement that we did in fact pay the correct amount, and closure to this horrendous experience
In addition to all of the items we had to replace, we have spent countless hours on the phone, on email, using their claims system, doing research to verify replacement values, and basically forcing them to do the right thing instead of them doing it on their ownWe will never use this company again in future moves and certainly will not recommend them to anyone else

Coleman Movers routinely accepts more jobs than they can handle as a sub contract underCovan who is awarded moving contracts for military familiesThey do not keep their word in keeping their packing and delivery dates even when requested and confirmed two months priorIt is disgusting that they are able to get away with manipulating the system for profit while pushing military families around because they know here's no alternativeFamilies dates get delayed and it impacts families adversely and financially
