Late fee received as a result of a clerical error on bill pay
I recd' a partial bill, due to a replacement of my meter and no reading The bill included a $late fee for a balance of from previous bill, with a note that failure to pay by due date could result in add'l charges I would like to argue that anyone who has been a customer for as many years as we have should be treated with more sensitivity It is evident that anyone who has had continual service is being responsible, my credit rating indicates 100% payment There is absolutely no risk of loss, therefore no reason for penalty I suggest that you re-structure your late payment penalty to make it more commensurate with the crime You policy encourages disconnection when there is no threat of loss My service has traditionally be disconnected wherever there was a death in my family and I was out of town and not thinking about bills, or an illness or some other unusual circumstance that warranted forgiveness Yo

This company only cares about the share holders
Every other utility company here in Florida is able to restore power, except The Great DukeThey keep pushing their estimate back because they have no idea what they're doing
Their web site says they had to fly drones to evaluate the damage because the roads conditions were so hazardous
That is a lie I drove down the roads here in Southern Volusia to see for myself what the delay is, and I did not see one Duke truck anywhere
Governor Scott needs to step in and tell Duke they can not handle the amount of area they are responsible for

Property Damage caused by Duke Energy Contractors
On the morning of November 14th, around AM Duke Energy Tree Trimming contracts with trucks listed as Lewis Tree Services came to my properly
They went into my back yard and proceeded to cut a large oak tree They let large limbs crash to the ground and damage my back patio

The scheduled and confirmed shutoff date for electric service from Duke Energy in Clearwater, FL was set for June 6th,
However, the final bill showed the cutoff date as June 19th, The energy company claims the tech could not gain access to the meter prior to June 19th This is a questionable action, as there is a leasing office open during business hours Plus there are construction personnel onsite throughout the day and well into the evening hours Poor customer care and service from Duke Energy

Duke Energy has not fixed an error on their upgraded website in over months and bills must be paid by phone
Duke Energy recently upgraded their website and now when users log in they receive a "Internal Server Not Found Error" This has been going on for over months and speaking with them on the phone has left promises that my account will be fixed or updated and it should work but no such luck
In order to pay my bill, I have to call in through an obnoxious amount of prompts and "Press if this is correct" and then pay the $vendor fee because I am forced to pay by phone since I cannot log into my account

Wait time for reconnection after interruption of services

Failure to repair hotwater heater in a timely manner

Disconnected service before due date
