energy consumption and bill DOUBLED No explanation, but the same HEAT and APPLIANCES Still does not add up to doubling my bill!
Never in my life has my bill or usage doubled even in the colder months! Representatives spoke to me like I've never used heat before or had appliances I understand bill or consumption being higher, but definitely no way in doubling!!! Went from to 2194, just read it yesterday and so far used and reading is usually between 10th-12th

I COME HOME TO DISCOVER MY LIGHTS OFF 5/I PAID MY *** ON 5/THROUGH MY BANK $I CALLED DUKE ENERGY I CALLED DUKE ENERGY TO ASK WHY MY LIGHTS WERE TURNED OFF THEY SAID THEY NEVER RCV'D MY PAYMENTI DISAGREED BUT I WENT AHEAD A MADE ANOTHER PAYMENTI CALLED MY BANK AND THEY TOLD ME DUKE ENERGY GOT PAYMENT ON THE 16TH SO MY LIGHT WHERE TURNED OFF FOR NO REASON THEY REQUIRED ANY ADDITIONAL UNNECESSARY PAYMENT IN ORDER TO GET MY LIGHTS BACK ONI EXPLAINED TO THEM MY MOTHER JUST GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL ON SUNDAY AND SHE IS CURRENTLY WITH ME AND I NEEDED LIGHT ON ASAP AS SHE IS ON A BREATHING MACHINEI SPOKE WITH REPS THEY BOTH HAD NONCHALANT ATTITUDES.I HAVE OVER PAID AND I DO EXPECT MY FUNDS BACK WITH ALL FEES RETURNEDI SPOKE WITH SUPERVISOR TENEA EXT#AND EMAILED A SNAP SHOT OF MY ACCOUNT SHOWING FUNDS WHERE TAKEN FROM MY ACCTIT TOOK 3-4HRS FOR MY LIGHTS TO BE TURNED BACK ON

I was away all week on vacation forgot or just missed the billFirst time everThey just shut off my power without warning of any kindNo phone calls not a knock at the door, no call text or email I immediately run to make a payment within a half hour of this, call it in and provide the receipt number at 1033am 11/It is now 6pm..and I am still without powerIts hot, I havent been able to cook anything the entire day! Despite right after calling in my payment and being told there are plenty of techs in the area and it shouldnt be more than a few hours...yet over hours later its 80+ degrees

I had Solar panels installed on my roof by TeslaI can not turn the solar system on until Duke Energy swaps out my current meter for a bi-directional meterI received an email from Duke Energy on 10/18/The letter stated that Duke received ALL required documentation required by them to swap the meterThe letter states it will take approximately business daysThe business days has come and goneI called the smart energy department on 10-19-and was told "The letter states days but it usually only takes 2-business days." On 10/23/18, a Duke Energy pitruck pulled up in front of my homeI was happy to see that they came out so quicklyHowever, the driver got out of the truck, looked up the solar panels, and nodded his head and said "I'm here to switch your meter but I see you have solarI don't have that kind of meterI will go back and tell them you need a bi-directional meter." After years of on time impeccable and loyal payment history, I had an unusual occurrence happen, which in turn led to my power being disconnected without my knowledge, and while my children were at home sleeping during a 100+ degree day.If that is not bad enough, I am now being charged a "Deposit" on my account, which is almost the size of a Mortgage payment, on top of my already extremely high energy bill.additionally, they will not allow me any " extra time" to come up with this payment, since it is a "deposit on my account"

Duke Energy sent me a past due notice threatening to shut off my power *** even though I paid the *** the date it was due
I called to discuss this and was told that this letter was generated automaticallyIt is a violation to send a past due notice to a customer who paid their *** on timeIf this is indeed a system generated letter, you may want to consider a system enhancement that looks at when payments are initiated and not when they are processed in your systemI'm sure this is a rampant problem with Duke Energy and I'm going to do everything I can to shed light on this problem

A fraudulent item was placed on my credit report by a Duke Energy whom I had never heard of until I got an alert on my credit report through a Bull City FinancialI filed a dispute with Experian to investigate and the result was the item outcome is: Deleted/Removed from my credit reportI received the proof on November 9, The report #XXXXXXXHere it is days later and the fraudulent item was again placed on my credit reportThis time through a Helvey and Associates whom I also had never heard of until the alert on my credit reportJust because Duke Energy changes collection agencies does not bring about validityI gave thirty (30) days to remove the fraudulent item before and it was removed/deletedBecause it has been deleted/removed before I am only giving five (5) days to remove/deleteIf its removed/deleted this time and Duke Energy finds some other entity again to place fraudulent items then I am filing for punitive damages in the amount of five (5) thousand dollars

I recently moved to Missouri in December Duke failed to update and send the proper amount for my final bill I received one for over $and another for over $or so that I had paid but the final bill read over $ I was waiting for Duke to correct the bill and send me the appropriate amount to close out the bill Instead, they sent the information less than days to a debt collector (Datamax) that continues to harass me today and they state that Duke is telling them it is not paid and that it is going on my credit I have always paid my bills and several times, Duke had erroneously overcharged me over the years but I didn't file a complaint with the Florida AG, I should haveDuke has their payment and has not properly recorded it I even spoke with a lady last week that noticed the payment and it had not been appliedIf this isn't cleared up, you can expect a visit from me and I will pursue legal action because now
