Duke Energy has estimated my current bill to be $and no one has been living in the home since a week or more before hurricane IRMA
I have tried to talk with them and they will not do anything about the bill The bill says the meter was read on 9/12/and that's impossible because IRMA knocked into a canal I have had no electricity there since IRMA came through so how can my 10/5/bill be $209.84???? I am building a new home in Winter Garden, and though the contractor has met with Duke engineering three times, we are still waiting for power hookup
We have been trying to get Duke to hook up our power, and we keep getting the run around First they said "three days" after they received the electrical inspection Then it was "three days from the time they put the parts on the truck" and now (more than three days later), they say there is an "engineering problem." This is after our contractor has met with Duke Engineering three times Now the engineer will not take calls from us or our contractor If there was any other choice for power, I would go with them, as Duke has not been easy or helpful We can not move forward with the remainder of the house construction until Duke does their part This is SO FRUSTRATING!

on 02/02/Duke energy received a payment from us through our online bill pay and somehow this payment went to the wrong account that doesn't belong to us acct#XXXXXXXXXX
after talking to a duke representative, she advised us to Fax over a pipeline transmital document provided to me by my bank wells fargo
in the meantime I called my bank and filled a complaint
on 03/08/a representative from my bank(wells fargo), a rep from duke energy, and myself had a way call and my bank and I explained to her that the payment somehow went to the wrong account and we would like it to be transferred or credited back to us; they said no problem

My power was turned off just because of an easily resolved billing issue which resulted in my AC unit motor being shorted out and needing repair
At the beginning of Febmy bank account info was compromised and as an act of security my bank closed that account and opened up a new one for meThe online billing was paid from the bad account which resulted in the payment not being cleared with the bank
