Precision Door Service Reviews (298)

I am extremely sorry to hear about your health situation . After the initial service was performed , you had your garage door painted. When the paint dried , the garage door got stuck with the trim,. panels got stuck and the door became heavy by one Gallon , the paint you put on. In short the...

painters made your door to stick and made it heavier. Your opener which is fairly old is not able to do the job. We also worked on your Garage door only and not the Opener . Please ask your painters for the Damages . We did not cause any damage to your opener . I am sorry about your situation. My best offer is to install an Opener at my cost . Thanks

We thank you again for your response. The door had a failure which we fixed , your opener was fine at that time. Your painters painted the door. You called us after 4 months and claimed that your opener has failed . Door and operator are two very different mechanism . We are not responsible for the opener as we never fixed it. Please take our offer to install an opener at our cost . This is our best offer . We did not cause the opener to fail The age of the opener and the painting of the door caused it to fail . Thanks

We have reached a resolution with this customer. We have sent her a good faith refund to resolve this issue. I have attached a copy of the email where she accepted the offer.

I am very dissatisfied with the service I received from this company. Contrary to their website's claims:
I was not treated with respect or integrity.
I did not receive a phone call before I arrived
I was not told the exact costs and options before the work began.
I was not told that the service (for which I paid a premium) was only warrantied for only two years.
I am far from delighted with the service provided.
After disassembling my garage door to replace a broken spring (a $325.00 quote) they informed me that additional repairs of over $575.00 were necessary. They essentially refused to complete the original work without my agreement to their terms. I asked them to save the "damaged" parts they were replacing. At the completion of their work the "damaged" pole holding the spring was missing from the pile of parts they claimed to have replaced. This item's replacement was supposedly the most important part of the "upgraded" repair. When I asked about its whereabouts I was told they had already put it in the truck to take away.
There are few times in my life that I have ever come across a more unethical company.

Tech, Robin, was excellent. Knowledgeable, prompt, polite, organized. Would definitely use again.

Chris arrived timely and listened carefully to my description of the issues with my door opener. Then he assessed the situation (problem with photocells) and made adjustments. He also serviced the door. Now the door opens quietly and smoothly and the opener works as it should. Great service!

Called Precision Door and made an appointment after reading all the reviews on this company. The technician Jay came out to our home (he even showed up early which is a plus in my book) and did a wonderful job-first explaining which units they had and what would be the best for us. He was very knowledgeble and did a great job installing a new garage door unit and went over how to work all the newer buttons since our last one was over 18 years old.would highly recommend this company and especially Jay!! Thanks again for your great service!

I have a service contract with Precision. Had door problem, called them and the next AM a serviceman came, diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly & efficiently.

Tyler L[redacted] was the technician that repaired my door. He was courteous, friendly and explained everything broken on my garage door in great detail. He explained the options that I had to get the repair done and how much the cost would be. He said the repair would take from 45 minutes to an hour. He was finished in 30 minutes! The repair was done correctly and my garage door is working again. Thanks so much Tyler!!:)

I was charged $250 and there is not difference in operation. I lost $250 and garage door still don't work!

We were highly satisfied with your company!!

I contacted Precision because I needed an emergency repair. I had a broken spring. I got a quick response. J, the tech. was responsive, kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. J gave me suggestions and there was no pressure to proceed. I was very pleased with the work. I strongly recommend this company.

We serviced this door due to the fact it would not open as expained on the incomming phone call dated 7/10/15 at 2:10PM. Our technician found unresponsive and broken rollers which we replaced. At the time of service, it was explained that the strain on opening a problematic garage door can cause...

damage to the operator. This was verbalized and also stated on the signed invoice (see attached). A follow up call was made by [redacted] offering a reduced price chain drive operator installed, but that was refused.

Precision Door has taken care of my garage door for three years and I am very pleased with their techs and service. They have been very professional when they are at my home and have not sold me anything I did not need. They have shown me in the past how to maintain my garage door to keep the cost down which I appreciated.

Mr. [redacted],Thank you for taking the time to review our company on the Revdex.com website. As stated by our technician, your operators logic board is failing. We only did the service of new safety sensors and two remotes at your request after informing you that it will in no way fix your intermittent...

problem. We would be happy to apply the charges to a brand new operator so please call to schedule a service appointment.

We have offered to fix the larger issue at hand by changing out the logic board or replacing the operator at an additional (nominal) cost. Our tech informed you that the remotes are not going to fix the problem you were experiencing but you insisted that he try anyway. Since none of our offers have been accepted, you may bring the remotes to our [redacted] office for a refund. The sensors, however, can not be refunded. Precision Door Service[redacted]

Contacted Precision for Garage Door repair. They sent their Technician [redacted] over to repair my door after normal hours at 6:00 pm to accommodate my work schedule. [redacted] was very professional, courteous and answered all my questions. Door works great and their repair includes a lifetime warranty on the parts and maintenance. Great customer service.

My new garage door was delivered and installed today in [redacted]. I am very pleased with the Precision Door Service Company. Saw their add in the [redacted] and called them. I received a $50.00 discount from the add. The salesman, [redacted], was very good and met all my needs in a timely manner. The installer today, [redacted] was excellent. He was punctual, pleasant, and a perfectionist. After installing the door and hardware he told me how to care for the door and wiped off any smudges that may be on the door for installation. It is beautiful and I'm very pleased with the Precision Company and their team of workers.

We needed a new garage door opener and called Precision Garage Door because I had heard their advertisement on the radio. My wife made the call and spoke to [redacted] ([redacted]) [redacted]. They agreed on a Craftsman Lifter unit with a lifetime warranty and a price between 350 and 400 dollars installed. The installer was to show up on Monday between 4 and 6. My wife and I were both home. No one showed up or called off. [redacted] was surprised when my wife called him Tuesday morning and reported no one showed up. He said for sure his man would be here Tuesday, again 4 to 6 range. I got home about 3 as my wife could not get away to be here. Installer [redacted] shows up at 3:15, because he happened to be in the neighborhood early. Not really much of a problem, a courtesy call would have been nice since he was 45 minutes early and I would have liked to put the dogs up.

He immediately starts pitching an upgrade to their 799 dollar unit, if you plan on being in the house for a while, etc. I ask him to tell me about the Craftsman unit my wife and his boss agreed on and he tells me not lifetime but 4 year warranty on parts, tells me how cheaply the gears are made in Craftsman unit then says the warranty is 3 years , not 4. I begin texting my wife at this time as I am quickly losing faith in [redacted] and Precision. He goes out to his truck, comes back and says Craftsmans warranty is only 2 years, says so on the box. I ask him to install the unit my wife and his boss agreed on and he starts upselling the $799 unit with better drive, parts and warranty, as the Craftsman will be lucky to last 4 years. As he is going on and on I text my wife and ask if she is okay with me tossing him out. She tells me to go for it.

I have heard enough and tell him firmly to leave. As he grabs his clipboard he asks if there is anything he can do. I say nope, too late. “Good bye [redacted], your attitude sucks”, I say as he heads out the driveway. “No it doesn’t” he yells back. I say yes it does, the way you dis your boss and won’t listen to my decision. He continues to yell down the driveway as I close the garage door.

I have zero confidence [redacted] would have installed our garage door opener to our satisfaction. There are many more companies in the Phoenix area that will do the job without a ‘used car salesman ‘ mentality, will show up when they say and will do the job to our satisfaction.

Excellent service on a Saturday. Kyle the tech did an outstanding job and was very helpful in explaining the issues with our door.
