I had them come out to adjust the retention spring on the door. The crew led by Mike was clearly skilled at what they do because they were here and gone in like 15 minutes and I was able to get my cars out of the garage. So I do not question their technical skill or quality of Precision Door aftermarket parts.

However Mike apparently overcharged me by $85.00 as I would find out later. After a call to the local headquarters to check that the price charged was indeed correct I was initially told it was correct. However concerned by my frustration (I believe his name was Eric) at Precision called me back and said there was an $85.00 overcharge and said they would fix the discrepancy.

The same service from the company that installed the door was a total of $85.00+tax. Wish I had called them first and not right after Precision left, but I felt I had been overcharged and wanted to confirm my suspicion. The correct total cost to have the spring adjusted by Precision was $175.00 plus another $39.99 for roughly 12 sprays of lubricant which I had done myself earlier that day. So I payed $200.34 plus tax for what apparently another competitor charges $85.00 for.

They also quoted over $400 to install an opener that I would supply. The competitor that I called after they left quoted $130+tax for the same installation, I know it's accurate as I used them on a prior install. Precision said they would make the $85 over charge right though it is not yet reflected on my account. When I told Mike that I recalled paying closer to $150 for the previous install he suggested I go with the competition as well.

In the end, shame on me because I did have a chance to decline service like my gut told me I should. However that doesn't change that I feel I was fleeced for paying roughly 2.5x what the competition charges. In the future I think I will take Mikes advice and stick to the competition.

The positives are that they arrived promptly and made a temporary fix on my garage door. The negatives are that I was told that I needed a new door and there was a problem with the way my door opener was connected and it was out of code. I listened to the advice of the serviceman and was given a quote for a new door and opener. I signed the work order to replace the door and opener, mainly influenced by the fact that the quote included to make sure everything was installed to code. The installers showed up and informed me they couldn't install to code. I called Precision and was informed that my warranty wouldn't be valid if it wasn't to code. After much argument from me they returned my call and said they would cover the warranty even though they did not follow their own work order to connect the electricity to code. The installed door has a gap and it still doesn't meet code. I am still in the process of talking to the City about code, business licensing in the city, and how this situation can be fixed. Dishonest business practices. Do not use this company.

The company came out and did not charge me a service fee. The technician was very helpful and went beyond what they had too take care of the problem.

Our spring on the garage door broke and was in need of repair. I called Precision and told them of the problem, made an appointment for the following day. The technician came out assessed the whole door operation minus the opener and gave me his advice on what needed to be done to get the door operational. Then had an additional plan on some things that should be addressed to make the door operate smoother. We went with his second plan and the door operates just like new. I give Precision Door Service 5 stars.

The battery is installed, if by some mysterious reason there is not one then we will replace it, but our live inventory tracking shows one was left. You can verify this by looking for a battery icon on the wall button. Our technician never expressed that it was extra, he may have informed you that they are not warrantied, and replacement batteries are $99, but they are supplied with our part number iteration. In interest of customer satisfaction, we will offer a refund of $150 for the loose keypad battery cover and scratch on the operator cover. This is only contigent on removal of existing online reviews.

Precision Door Company and specifically technician Matt managed to totally impress me with their professionalism, punctuality, and the products they offer. My garage door needed a complete overhaul, springs, pulleys, cables, etc. It as thirteen years old and with five cars sharing a three car garage, it has seen quite a bit of use. The work to be done was well explained, the reason for the extensive list of parts was explained as well as pointed out to me individually. I had no reservations whatsoever in signing the agreement to have this work done. When I arrived home later that evening I was amazed that I had no need to call them or a return visit and the quietness of the new belt driven opener was amazing. I highly recommend Precision Door without hesitation.

The technician, [redacted], was prompt and efficient. After taking his recommendation as to the work to be done, I feel like I have a new garage door! I got them through [redacted] and am very pleased.

I have requested a FULL refund plus TAX on 10/29/2014  and yet to see it,   very reluctant to call this matter closed as the merchant has had 6 months to return my money or contact me and showed no effort.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Jarod and Sean were very professional, competent, informative, and courteous. There was no up sale pressure just a fair quote and a timely resolution to my broken torsion spring issue on my garage door. I would not hesitate to use Precision again and would recommend them without reservation.

Wonderful work and friendly people. They took care of me quickly and I appreciate their knowledge and experience in dealing with garage door problems. I highly recommend them.

I called Precision about my garage door opener not working and within 1 hour, Ivan was there. He replaced the opener with a new belt driven opener, replaced the springs, bearings, wheels and door sweep within 2 hours. Ivan was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would give more stars if available. I am extremely satisfied.

Highly recommend Precision Door for garage door issues. I have used twice in last year and have had the pleasure of working with Jay both times. I called Precision Door because my garage door broke and my car was stuck in the garage. I had to take my sick mother back to hospice and my neighbor told me to call Precision Door Service. He had used them before and was very pleased with their service.

I called Precision in a bit of a panic and they sent a tech out right away to help me. The tech was knowledgeable, friendly, respectful, answered all my questions and fixed my garage door with a warranty I will never have to worry about that garage door again. This is a professional company and I will recommend them to everyone I know..

I called precision door today cause I had used them in the past. I was given a quote over the phone on repair and insured no additional charges and a free estimate. I found this unethical company to be nothing more then a BAIT AND SWITCH company. Once the tech showed up the first thing he mentioned I had the wrong size opener for my garage hoping to sell me a new one. Funny the door opener installed when home was purchased works just fine. The service tech appears to make money on up selling products. I then mentioned the broken spring. My door still opens and closes ok but one spring is broken. He quotes me a different price. Plus states the springs you were quoted only last 2 years and that you need to upgrade to the springs that cost $100 more. The tech was a scam artist at best. I asked if the new springs that I was quoted were not as strong as the ones on my door. He stated yes and you need to get the more expensive springs. Well I might look like a normal homeowner but I do have other knowledge dealing with repairs. I told him that I don't want to use the service since your prices are not the same quoted. He next stated I needed to pay him $55 for showing up. I stated I talked to someone on phone website states free estimate plus I was told over phone no hidden charges. The service person was a total unethical scam artist. I didn't pay him anything and told him to leave. I would never use this company ever again. They specialize in BAIT AND SWITCH tactics with consumers.

Thank you so much for reaching out to me regarding this. I did speak with [redacted] on 2/10. I had offered to refund the labor charged and only charge her for the parts we installed. At that time, she said that was unacceptable...

and would be filing a complaint through the Revdex.com. She then called me back the next day and said she accepted my offer and considered the matter resolved. As far as I know, at this time, the matter is resolved.
