According to the consumer, she/he was unaware that a hotel cancel policy applied for the selected purchase.
 
Attached hereto is a copy of the consumer’s contract page authorizing the terms and conditions of the purchase including the following cancel policy:
 
 
·      Cancel Policy: Priceline will not charge you a change or cancel fee, however this hotel has the following cancellation policy: For the room type you've selected, you can cancel your reservation for a full refund up until noon on Tuesday, January 20th (local hotel time). April 19 - A refund for $1,073.49 was issued.
April 20 - A refund for $1,704.44 was issued.
April 22 - A refund for $313.66 was issued.
 
We will issue a refund to your bank within one business
day. Your bank will then post it to your account and their processing time
varies, so please check with them if you do not see the refund in your account
within a few days.
 
In addition, a refund request for $600.00 was submitted
today, April 27, 2016. The request needs to go through a review process which
does take time to complete. Once processed, it will go back to the card that
was used to purchase the reservation.

I am rejecting this response because:it is fairly obvious which hotel is being offered for a lower price in the Express Deals. There are only 6 5* hotels in [redacted], 4 of which are geographically located outside the area in question. Out of the two remaining hotels, 1 is an all inclusive and the other is the hotel I purchased.  The Express Deal is not for an all inclusive, meaning that it could only be the [redacted] So yes, you are offering the hotel at a lower rate and now refusing to honor your low price guarantee.  These numbers are based on all 5* hotels in [redacted], not just those offered by Priceline.
 
I have used your NYOP services since 2007, and have easily won over 40 bids. This is the first time I've had to make a dispute under your low price guarantee, and your failure to honor it is appalling. You have lost any future business from me, and I'll make sure to advise others against your website. I'll be using [redacted] from now on instead, because their parent company stands behind their product.  I'll also be putting in a credit card dispute to see if [redacted] will help make this right. If not, at lease you'll be charged a non refundable merchant dispute fee to offset some of your ill gained profit.

I am rejecting this response because: no consumer in sound mind is going to allow a company or organization to walk off with over $1000.00 dollars of their money.  The sad part about is even had I been canceling my flight for reasons they had listed.  The insurance company was already making plans to make the process difficult.  I would have to have a doctors statement, and/or wait 3 weeks while they investigate.  It's obvious I'm gonna have to escalate this complaint to other consumer protection agencies and to the social media.  I'll be posting their responses as well.

a more favorable conclusion. The consumer is requesting a full refund for his
two night stay at the 3 star [redacted]. We contacted the hotel on
behalf of the consumer and spoke with the Front Desk Manager who explained that
the lobby was under renovations; however the rooms were not affected by the renovations.
Due to the frustrations with the renovations going on during the guest’s stay,
the hotel offered to refund 1/2 of the 1st night as goodwill compensation, and accordingly,
a partial refund was issued back to consumer’s credit card. We are sorry if the
consumer is not satisfied with the compensation offered by the property;
however, we are unable to offer a full refund for the consumer’s 2 night stay
at the [redacted].

I liked that it was across the street from lots of
bars shops and restaurants
I did not like that every time you went onto the
resort you are bombarded with staff trying to get you to take a tour ofbthe
timeshare condos. It was annoying and they just kept asking and asking after
you tell them no.

- Freeport is simply beautiful, there are not too
many tourists so the beaches are almost private, the sea is clear and the sand
is white - The hotel's pools are very pretty. It is a huge hotel so there are
chairs for everyone
- Fees _ Hallways see below my comments
- I made a reservation from an
on-line website that included the hotel and flights. I am well aware of the
hotel fees but getting a bill with 3 different types of fees at the end of my
stay was shocking. It left bad taste and it's the main reason why I wouldn't
recommend the hotel. Giving up these 10$ of electricity fee per day would
result in happier customers. - When we arrived we were located at the end of
the hall in the big building (romm 675 if I remember correctly) - it is such a
ling walk from the elevator! very frustrating! - The hallway was full of plates
that people left outside their rooms' doors. I called after more than 8 hours
and only then someone came to pick it up. How come no one made sure the hallway
is clean? The room next to us left a plate outside and it was already full of
ants by the time they picked it. Simply disgusting! - Also the hallway was
frozen! so so cold!! I called and complained but nothing changed.

Room leaked water from the patio, was molding and
smelled bad. Hotel staff was borderline rude and not knowledgeable or on the
same page about service.
I will not return and wish we
would've stayed across the street.

Rooms were nice, staff was very friendly and
responsive, location was picturesque, nice beach and activities. Fitness center
was decent.
The other guests at the hotel were fairly friendly,
but there were more tatoos and smokers than I'd expected. So many of the people
at the hotel are from cruises.
The best thing we did, since
you get hotel-itis after a few days, was rent a car and go to Deadman's Reef
(solid snorkeling) and the beach at Gold Rock. Those were the best parts of the
island and wonderful!! The UNEXSO swimming the with the dolphins was also
fantastic.
