I am rejecting this response because:
 
If you read the original complaint that was made to [redacted], they approved my refund request - but stated that they were not in receipt of the tickets - nor had any control over the tickets - that was the responsibility of Priceline.  My family does not travel frequently, and only purchased these tickets for this tournamen - so a change of date would do us no good.  This is a bad business practice - and I will surely make sure all of my co-workers, friends, extended family, etc refuse to do business with Priceline.  I underatand now why people say to deal directly with the airline.  I could understand more if this request had not been with 14 days of purchase - or 69 days in advance.  My son had played AAU ball for years, and hopefully will continue to play for the next 3 years - I will do my best to ensure no one on these teams use Priceline ever again.

I am rejecting this response because like another complaint on 1/15/16 (see attached & below which u agreed to refund btw) our bed in room [redacted] was indeed a full size per photo attached! in addition (& again like the 1/15/16 complaint) there is no way a reasonable person would consider the ROOM SIZE suitable for double occupancy; ABSOLUTELY NO WAY!  how do you rationalize settling 1 complaint of an insufficient bed/room size & not another?

" Hotels Priceline's ratings of New York hotels as 4 or 3.5 stars was highly deceptive. I wound up with a reservation for a very very tiny room in a 4 hotel described as "upscale plus". Nonsense! The room is VERY SMALL with ONE FULL SIZE BED for two adults. "

When selecting a reservation, the consumer is provided with
the cancel policy associated with each reservation prior to purchase.
In this case the consumer selected a reservation that
provided greater savings and less flexibility.

authorizing the non-refundable, non-changeable terms and conditions of the
purchase.

Priceline’s (non) response is completely unacceptable.
Subsequent to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com, I phoned the hotel personally, and explained that I would not be staying there due to the distance from my destination. They were extremely gracious, cancelled my reservation, and agreed to drop any charges to myself or Priceline.  I then phoned Priceline and informed them that the Hotel accepted my cancellation, and requested that a refund be issued.  They stated they couldn’t give a refund because they had to “pay the hotel” regardless of my cancellation {a false statement}. When I asked them to furnish proof of payment to the hotel, they quickly backtracked.
I further questioned the CSR why Priceline feels justified in charging my credit card for a room reservation that the Hotel itself, cancelled without obstruction.  What is Priceline charging me for exactly? The Priceline CSR wouldn’t answer that directly and reverted to their “Policy” as rationalization for keeping my money. After all, I “agreed” to these terms, vague and deceptive as they were intended to be. The false claims implied in Priceline’s marketing efforts were inconsequential, since their “Policy” absolves them of any responsibility.
To set the record straight, what I “agreed” to was for Priceline to make a diligent effort to book a “3-star” hotel room, as close to WVU as possible among the 41 or so establishments in [redacted], featured prominently on their web site. Priceline stated that the hotel they selected for me 20 miles out of town was close enough, even though it is at the very edge of a map of “[redacted]” that Priceline drew arbitrarily themselves. While 20 miles might be “close enough” in a major metropolitan region like Pittsburgh, Washington DC or Columbus, it’s NOT within city limits of a town of only 29,660 residents.
Additionally, I “agreed” to accept Priceline’s recommendation for a “3-star” hotel available, for which they tout as their “best value”.  As a consumer, I expect due diligence and basic truthfulness when a business chooses to makes such qualitative claims.  However, when I did the math on the hotel in question, the Guest Rating score was 4.84/10 since January 1, 2016!!! I challenge Priceline to explain to the Revdex.com how a hotel with less than 50% customer approval in recent ratings merits 3 stars??? It appears that Priceline’s star rating system is just as arbitrary as its methods of stretching maps in defining “metropolitan regions”.
In the absence of any real attempt to remedy the misrepresentations in this particular instance, one could conclude that Priceline’s marketing efforts in terms of location and Guest Ratings are negligent at best, if not willfully fraudulent. This is especially true since the details of the selected hotels when using the “Name your Price” feature are not fully disclosed until after the bidding process is over. No reasonable consumer would “agree” to such terms unless there was an element of deception on the businesses part.
In summary, I feel I was clearly mislead by Priceline’s initial marketing claims in booking this hotel room. Priceline’s own statements in this, and other documented correspondence, show a lack of good faith towards addressing customers concerns. I have demonstrated that Priceline has every intention of charging me for a product/service that was never in fact, delivered. Most disturbing though is Priceline’s disregard for the level of ethics and integrity most consumers minimally expect in everyday commerce.

Priceline uses false advertising and fraud. I requested a 4 star hotel. I was given a 2.5 star hotel. Based on the Priceline guidelines – I should have at least had a queen sized bed. Instead I was booked in Yotel – where there isn't even a live person at the front desk – per the Yotel customer service they are a 2.5 to 3 max star hotel and the beds were double in size, not queen.

Thank you for responding, however I don't think there was any confusion involved, more like deceit. You blew right pass the core of the complaint.
When you advertise rates and use words like "Total Cost" and send confirmations using "Paid in Full" those words are used to convey something to your clients. Such as, this is how much your room is going to cost if you book through us. Yep, you buried on your web page, in small print, disclaimers. There is the rub. I am to show up for a room you advertise as "Paid in Full" but you know there will be a "mandatory" fee of some unknown amount charged me upon my arrival in addition to what you charged (and if I don't pay these undisclosed fees the hotel will charge me for the room anyway because I am now unable to give the required time notice for a cancellation). Priceline puts their clients in contracts while intentionally hiding parts of the cost as silent fees their affiliate hotels will collect for them, a really underhanded way to keep your advertised rates low. well, you did convey something to this ex-client; you sell products under false promises you know you are really not going to deliver.
Interestingly these fees, the $22.95 per night, was not just their "Resort Fee". It includes $.15 [redacted], $.20 Tourism Assessment and a $2.60 [redacted]d, your Summary of Charges also includes $22.16 in taxes and fees. Did the City of [redacted] receive the Taxes you collected from me twice for the same room for the same night?
Until Priceline uses the words "Total Cost" and "Paid in Full" to actually mean that, they will not get me, nor anyone I can advise as a client

As you requested, we have again reviewed this matter to see if we
overlooked anything that might support a more favorable conclusion. Unfortunately,
there is nothing we can add to what has already been stated in our previous
correspondence. The consumer selected an Express Deals reservation for a 3 star
quality hotel at an offer price of $37 per night, and is dissatisfied with the
quality of the accommodations at the[redacted] Inn[redacted] International Airport. Upon contacting the property on behalf of the consumer, we were advised that the hotel offered five
rooms to the guest, room #112, 146, 194, 202 and
finally, room # 237. The hotel advised that they are unable to offer a refund
for the non-refundable purchase. We are sorry that we are unable to assist the consumer any further
in this situation. The consumer/Bureau may contact the property directly for any
further assistance regarding this matter.

Complaint

I was trying to reserve an hotel room on January 24,2015 til january 25,2015, I went thru the process online but it set the check in time & date to 01-25-2015 and had me to check in after 2pm. No conformation email was sent like there website said I should have received so I had know idea where...

I was going tryed call the # on website and could not get an answer,when I did get in touch with someone they were very rude and did not even try to help me get the money they took out of my account for the hotel I never even stayed in if someone can help I would be very thankful

I am rejecting this response because:
Hello,
As mentioned in my letter and e-mail records, I requested to dispute this charge on 7/17/14 because there was an error in the bid placed.  My maximum bid was intended to be $55 incl taxes and fees. However on 7/23/14 because I needed a hotel room for my travel, and didn't want to go through this big hassle I decided to close this dispute with my credit card company and keep my reservation. However when I arrived to [redacted] on 8/13/14 your partner company had cancelled my reservation and I had to look for a hotel room at 11pm after talking to Priceline because they weren't able to provide any solution. According to your contract the reservation is guaranteed for arrival on the confirmed check in date.  No services were provided and your contract agreement was breached. Please see attachment for filed dispute status-the dispute was closed by me on 7/23/14 because I decided to keep my reservation no further communication was received from Priceline stating they were cancelling my hotel reservation. As a result it was paid in full and I'm requesting a refund.
