I am rejecting this response because:
I don't know what else to tell: they are again wasting my time and not answering the question.
As stated before, I perfectly well agreed with the penalties, but not with the new price of the new ticket.
Should I have known there will be the new ticket to buy - I would have, and kept the old one.
Only when I repeatedly called priceline and requested the receipt, did they provide one; after the transaction I only realized how much they charged me after my bank posted the charge.
Whichever way you look - this is no way to do business, in my opinion.

support a more favorable conclusion. According to the consumer, priceline did
not disclose prior to purchase that the hotel would charge the credit card
directly for room and tax. Attached hereto is a copy of the consumer’s contract
page disclosing the following payment information:

Your credit card will be used to guarantee the
reservation. The hotel will charge you directly for room and tax. No Deposit
Will Be Charged. The hotel
reserves the right to authorize your credit card prior to check-in.
Additionally, the consumer states that he/she expected to pay $117 for
the room however was charged $160 by the hotel. We have contacted the hotel and
were advised that there were more than 2 adults in the room, and therefore
charged accordingly for the extra guest(s). The contract page discloses that the hotel will determine the final total.
We are sorry that we are unable to assist the consumer any further in this
situation.

I am rejecting this response because:
While Priceline in its reply to the Revdex.com confirms, “the
consumer selected Priceline’s.... accommodations in the [redacted] Airport
area”, Priceline in its reply omits the
fact that I was NOT provided with an airport hotel.
The provision
of an airport hotel was the whole basis for the contract. And Priceline
breached this contract.
Instead, Priceline booked me into a hotel - the [redacted] - whose location requires a $40 cab fare from
the airport to get to, as there:
·     
is
no (free or inexpensive) shuttle to get to the hotel and
·     
there
is no public transportation available.
I relied on representation made to me by Priceline during
the booking process – see attached - that the hotel I was booking would be
located at/near the airport. It is not.
A $40 cab fare to a hotel (and $40 back to the airport) does
not constitute an “airport hotel”. Not to a reasonable person.
$40 would get me from JFK Airport to the Lower East Side of
Manhattan. Hardly an "airport hotel" district!
At law the issue is one of misleading, deceptive and unfair conduct.
The relevant legislation includes the:
·     
Connecticut
Unfair Trade Practices Act and the
·     
FTC
Act, in particular section 5.
I contracted for an airport hotel and did not receive that which
I paid for. While I would have been pleased with, I never expected a free hotel
shuttle. What I did expect is what a reasonable person would expect: that
getting to the airport hotel in the absence of a hotel shuttle would be
inexpensive.
 
I did not obtain this for the $189.28 I paid.
I require Priceline to forthwith:
a) refund
in full the $189.28 or
b) assign
me a true airport hotel of the same standard as the Courtyard by Marriott for the nights in
question or
c) assign
me a hotel on/near the Strip, of the same standard as the Courtyard by
Marriott for the nights in question.
 
If by Monday
September 29 the matter is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will book another
hotel in [redacted] as I have no intention of staying at the hotel misrepresented
by Priceline and I will file papers with a small claims court in Greenwich, CT court where I will argue
that Priceline’s conduct was deceptive and violated CUTPA. 
 
I will prove
three requirements:
·      there was a representation, omission, or other practice likely to
mislead me;
·      that my interpretation of the message was reasonable under the
circumstances; and
·       the misleading representation,
omission, or practice is material -- that is, likely to affect my decisions or
conduct.
For the record, while I am not a lawyer, I experienced
misleading conduct by three companies recently.
In Australia where I have lived in the last year, I filed
suit against [redacted], Australia’s leading water utility: [redacted], a
travel agency and [redacted].
I won all three cases.

While I look forward to Priceline doing the right thing as per
(a), (b) or (c) above, by September 29, I am prepared for legal proceedings.

I usually don't get charged until the day I check into the hotel. Because of your single transaction and your inconsistency, I was charged with [redacted]s fees. The ticket cost for one person was $194.00 (base no tax), you are giving me a credit for the full cost of $432.00 (2 people + taxes), then you are going to charge me 150/person to change my flight and an additional 30 dollars for your fee?  The total "FEE" will be exactly 180.00/person with a total fee of $360.00 , this is insulting.  When your company is seriously about customer satisfaction we can do business again, until then PRICELINE.COM will not get another cent from me.

Thank you for your reply in regards to complaint  #[redacted].  The problem is that Priceline, as you can see in their reply, says to contact the airline [redacted] ([redacted]) but when I contacted them (several times already), they claim Priceline is responsible for the refund and that I should call them.  That is the reason why I contacted you because, obviously one of the companies is lying.  Please let me know if I should file a different complaint about the airline or you will take care of it because in my original letter I sent you the airline info. I am rejecting this response because: I initially called for that reason but called back to cancel my stay due to my mother in law becoming hospitalized for life threatening condition. I mistakenly thought I had purchased insurance but for some reason this was not processed. When I spoke with the supervisor she laughed when she couldn't refund the money.

I was not made aware as I was  [redacted] this reservation that I would not actually be doing business with Priceline.Com, but with another party, [redacted].Com, as stated in your response. Also, it was not disclosed to me from Priceline.Com as I was [redacted] my reservation, and supplying Priceline.Com with my credit card information, that my personal credit card information would be shared with third parties such as [redacted].Com and with the [redacted] directly.   This information was not included with my hotel confirmation that I received directly from you, Priceline.Com (the seller)., stating that  the price for the room would be a total of $117.28. and not $160.98 as  I was charged.
The Priceline.Com website stated that this room rate was for double occupancy, however, you failed to disclose that additional charges would apply for additional guests, and specifically what those charges would be.

I am rejecting this response because: I know for a fact I typed [redacted] on the site information on March 28, 2014 when I purchased my ticket. That has been altered as you can see because my initials are not **, my initials are **. The company refuses to take responsibility for the system glitch on their part due to the fact that there is no reason for me to put a last name that is not mine for I have flown frequently and know how the airlines work.
