Purchased and returned a phone that did not allow activation for SIM cards. Have not been refunded.
This complaint involves*** Mobile / Quality One Wireless.
On December 30, 2018 I purchased a phone and plan through*** Mobile (order id:***). The phone I ordered (Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime LTE) was out of stock and they eventually sent me a Samsung Galaxy J7 Star 2018. I received the phone on January 14, 2019. The SIM card*** Mobile sent me did NOT activate the phone no matter what I did. I contacted*** Mobile several times to try to resolve the issue. Nothing worked. After numerous phone calls, chats and emails they sent me a second SIM card and that too did NOT activate the phone. They requested I return the phone. I returned it, at my expense (USPS Priority 7.55 February 7, 2019). They claimed the Samsung account was not removed and sent the phone back to me. I removed it and did a total factory reset. I then sent the phone back a second time, again at my expense (USPS Priority 7.55 March 4, 2019). In the meantime I've had to make payments to Affirm, while waiting on a refund for the unusable phone. Today is April 3rd and after over 3 months, 100+ emails, several chats and numerous phone calls, nothing has been resolved. I've made the following payments to Affirm (loan for the phone): 17.01 Feb 1, 2019, 17.01 Feb 28, 2019 and 10.96 Mar 24, 2019. Affirm is paid off but I'm still out the 3 payments and return shipping charges on a phone I could never use. I'm sure they will tell me the phone is not defective but if I could never get activation on any of the SIM cards they sent, the phone is of no use to me. They've had the phone since March 7, 2019 and still no effort has been made at refunding me. This is extremely unacceptable customer service! I keep getting pushed back and forth between*** Mobile and Quality One Wireless. One company says contact the other and vice versa. Keep in mind this has been an ongoing issue since placing the order December 30, 2018.
A refund in the amount of 44.98 for the 3 payments to AFFIRM and 15.51 for return shipping charges should be credited to me.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund for return shipping and the 3 months I paid for the phone that I never could use. Neither company has made any effort at resolving this issue. My last email to Quality One Wireless was on March 29, 2019 and they have not responded.

Quality One Wireless Response • Apr 08, 2019

I have looked further in to this order and issue and see that we processed a refund for the customer on March 22nd 2019. Per our RMA instructions, if the phone is found to not be defective, the customer is subject to a 20% restocking fee and unfortunately, the RMA technician found not issues with the phone so the customer was subjected to the 20% restocking fee.

Customer Response • Apr 08, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This response is unacceptable. After over 3 months and not being able to use the phone, I should NOT be subjected to any restocking fees. I was sent 2 SIM cards that did NOT activate the phone. I have not seen a refund of any kind and would like to know where the refund is and the amount of the refund. I've dealt with this issue long enough and do not appreciate their making this my fault. My guess is that they will sell the phone to someone else and have the same issues. I did my part and they need to follow through with resolving this once and for all. It's really poor customer service when a company that sells phones doesn't even have a phone number available to contact them. I am expecting a refund for everything I paid for, including return shipping charges. If the phone was not defective there wouldn't have been an issue. Regardless of the issue being with the SIM cards or the phone, I was never able to use the phone.

Quality One Wireless Response • Apr 17, 2019

We refunded the customer on 03/22/2019. They used an Affirm lease to purchase the phone from our website. We also have a contact page on our website that lists the name of our company and a ticket form for the customer to submit a request, question or concerns ***
We unfortunately do not cover any shipping costs that were not included in the customers invoice, as we have no way of refunding an amount that we did not receive.

Great service

Positive experience, easy to order, phone arrived faster than expected, phone was nicer than I anticipated.. thank you!

They had a huge selection of phones to pick from and they offer them at a cheaper price than most site!

The company offers a 7-day money-back guarantee on any customer's first purchase from the company. I purchased a bundle; a Vivo Go cellphone, made by BLU, and three months of service. The service was shotty, the phone couldn't handle even phonecalls, so I asked for a refund. They gave me fake numbers to call, and told me to talk to different third-parties which had not been mentioned up to this point, and I did not buy anything from them (and when I talked to them, they told me exactly what you'd expect; We had nothing to do with this purchase, so we can't help you), and they have refused to make good on their guarantee.
Product_Or_Service: Phone & 3 months of Cellular

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I only want my money back ($79.00 exactly).

We would be more than happy to assist this customer with his device issues. We are not Mint Mobile directly so unfortunately, we do not have record of him speaking to one of our customer support agents. We only have record of one voicemail from the customer and one of our agents did call the customer back and left a message but we have not had any response since 03/07/19. The customer must have contacted Mint Mobile customer support directly. We are an authorized third party distributor for Mint Mobile and offer customer support on devices purchased from our website. The customer would have needed to submit an RMA request on our website and we would have gladly honored the 7-day return policy for a refund.

" The customer would have needed to submit an RMA request on our website and we would have gladly honored the 7-day return policy for a refund "

I tried to fill out the refund-request form, but I was never given an order number in the first place, and when I tried to request one using all the information I had about my purchase, Mint said they would promptly, asked for some more information that I gave without hesitation, and then never got back to me.

According to the Mint Mobile website, "Orders are processed and fulfilled by a third party, Quality 1 Wireless", so should think Quality 1 would have the record of my original purchase, and proof of my trying to contact you (you mention before that you have record of my calling you), so a refund shouldn't be a complicated issue.

I don't have any voicemails from your company (I just checked my mailbox to make sure), but you guys might also not have my phone number; if you called the phone I got from Mint, then of course I never responded; that phone doesn't work, that is why I'm trying to get it refunded. It has been sitting dead in the box.

Quality One Wireless Response • Apr 09, 2019

We have sent the customer a prepaid label via email (USPS: ***). Once we receive the phone in to our facility, we will be more than happy to issue the full refund for the customer.

Customer Response • Apr 11, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
If I can send the phone back for the refund, that's fine; the phone doesn't work, it's just been sitting in a box by my desk.

I should be able to send it back the same or following day I get the prepaid label.

I purchased a phone from Quality One which is a company that sells phones specifically for Assurance Wireless. I was informed by Assurance Wireless to only buy a phone from this company which is on their website to ensure compatibility.
The phone I purchased was mailed and received however it was a refurbished phone and did not work when Assurance Wireless tried to activate it. I mailed it back with a tracking number. They have acknowledged receipt of the phone but says it is locked to my account with Assurance Wireless and it needs to be unlocked. I contacted Assurance Wireless and they said they unlocked it but Quality One does not acknowledge it unlocked and refuses to refund my $80.
Product_Or_Service: Cell Phone
Order_Number:

Desired Outcome

Refund I would just like a refund. I cannot purchase a new phone until I get a refund. I have been without a phone for a month now. Please just refund my money. If the refurbished phone had been correctly inspected to begin with this would have never happened.

Quality One Wireless Response • Mar 26, 2019

We have been working with the customer to try and get the device removed from their Assurance Wireless account. The device needs to be removed so the RMA process can be successfully finished due to the customer requesting a refund. We asked the customer to remove the device and they contacted Assurance Wireless and were unfortunately misinformed by a representative. The device has been successfully removed from the Assurance Wireless account as of 03/26/19 and the RMA process can be finalized at this time and the customer will receive their refund as they originally requested.

As of April 1st 2019 I have not received a refund. I have made numerous attempts to get my refund without resolve. Not one e-mail showing that the refund is being processed.

Quality One Wireless Response • Apr 08, 2019

I have checked in to the order and see a refund was processed on March 29th 2019.

I needed to have service on a broken cell phone I got through them from ***.
I had to have my government phone fixed on the Moto E5 Play phone I bought from *** through this company Quality One Wireless which is their third party distributor of phones. I sent it back because the speaker wasn't working on the phone. A lady Mia J emailed me from Quality One on Friday March 22, 2019 say the my was locked to *** and they couldn't fix the phone telling me it needed to be unlocked and it needed to be removed from my account before they could fix the phone. I called *** and Dennis with *** thought that was crazy and told me the phone did not need to be unlocked and they need to fix it. After several emails with Quality One they agreed to send me out a replacement phone. But some research I think they might send me back my broken phone to me.

Desired Outcome

I want to be sure they will either send me a replacement phone and not try to send me back my old phone the broken phone or send me a refund. Because I'm really mad and upset about this and I need to have a new phone sent to me.

Quality One Wireless Response • Apr 08, 2019

I have checked in to this matter and see that an advanced replacement was sent to the customer on March 25th 2019. The replacement is compatible with their services and we have not heard back from the customer since they received the new phone on March 28th 2019 regarding any issues.

Customer Response • Apr 08, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Because the company Quality One Wireless sent mea new replacement phone and everything works on the phone.

Love the service

when I got my phone the battery is bad and mounted to the phone so I cant change it I have to charge it every couple hours or keep plugged in and sometimes when im texting or calling it turns itself off on me not to good at all wont do this again wast of money

Ordered 2 smart phones from ***, the first one was great. The second one has had a few glitches but works pretty good, the service has been great.

Poor ,need to say this is a good phone .get one .

Easy and affordable. Pick your phone, pay for it and it arrives in a few days.

I bought a safelink phone branded as a safelink phone from this company. After I received it and tried to use it on the safelink system, they said this was an *** phone and was not recognized by safelink. I returned the phone as per Q1 Wireless's approval. I did not get a full refund as they stated there would be restocking fees. So I have to pay $45 for their deceptive sales information. A safelink branded phone sold via safelink should be recognized by safelink, don't you think?

My friend, ***,returned a phone she bought from Quality One Wireless LLC because it was defective and they did not refund her in full.
On December 19, 2018 my friend ***, returned a phone to Quality One Wireless LLC. She had received it on 12/15/18 and when she went to use it discovered there was a glitch in the screen that would appear within a few minutes to 30 minutes. At first Steve S (management at Quality One Wireless LLC) refused to honor their return policy. After I called him he agreed that it could be returned. On 12/27/18 Katherine received an email saying the phone had been received and that she would receive a follow up email if there were any issues with the return and to let her know the return was processed. She never received any follow up emails, but upon reviewing her bank statement yesterday she discovered she was refunded only $159.20 of the $199 she paid for it. When I just called Quality One Wireless LLC they denied that the phone was defective and hung up on me. They didn't even follow their own protocol of informing Katherine if there was an issue with the return. Steve S originally tried sending Katherine to the*** store (it was an iPhone), instead of following their written return policy. I witnessed the defect in the phone myself and it is unacceptable for them to keep 20% of the cost and claim it wasn't defective. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Desired Outcome

Quality One Wireless LLC kept 20% of the purchase price of the phone claiming it wasn't defective. By law in Maine, where we are located, *** is entitled to a full refund:Chapter 05: Consumer Rights If You Are Sold Defective Goods Or Services Consumers who immediately discover that they have been sold a seriously defective item can immediately reject it and demand their money back. In good faith *** shipped the defective phone back, but now Quality One Wireless LLC is not issuing a full refund. The full price was $199 and she was refunded only $159.20, so she is owed a balance of $39.80 and she should also be refunded the original shipping cost of $9.99 for a total of $49.79.

We are unable to find the customers order in our system. Please provide the order number so we can help assist with this issue as best we can.

I ordered a phone from this company on January 2nd, 2019. which they have not shipped to me.
I ordered a phone from this company on January 2nd, 2019. I received an email from them on January 3rd stating the phone had been shipped. The email provided a tracking number. This phone has never been shipped nor tracked by USPS. I contacted them several times and Steven S continuously lies to me saying they shipped it. He also claims that USPS does not do any tracking at all on the phones they ship which is preposterous. So far I haven't received the phone nor a refund.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund from this company, they are obviously a scam. I researched them after my purchase and realize how many customers they've screwed over.

Quality One Wireless Response • Feb 15, 2019

I have checked further in to this issue and see that we sent the original order which was received on 01/23/19 (USPS: ***) and we also sent an advanced replacement due to USPS not delivering the order on time, that was delivered on 01/19/19 (USPS***). The customer received two phones and due to that error, we sent the customer a prepaid return label to send back the second phone.

If I could give a negative 5 would still be to good of a review for this company or the person that I have always spoken with is Steve Small, if he is not the owner, he needs to be fired. He advertises products he dont have and sends what ever product he has available. He sends out used products and sells for new products and then offers 20.00 off to keep the phone. Seems to me this guy has some how collected returned, used phones and selling as new. I saw this online and thought it might be a good deal for Christmas presents. I get them and one of them the memory was completely full of bloatware and unremovable so it is a worthless phone. I contacted Steve and was told to buy a sd card with more memory, well I did and did give more memory but the phone was so full and so slow it would take2-3 minutes for the phone to load. The other phone was ordered as new also and came in used and scratched up both were not in boxes and said to download the manual for it online. This company needs to be shut down or forced to put the correct information for the phones if used or refurbished. Instead of selling as new. The second phone was not even the brand I ordered, Steve just sent what he wanted to send. Completely Fraud in my book.

Purchased a new phone on 6/6/2018 which was defective ~ 6/29/2018. The phone would not power on at all. Customer Service stated bogus 7 day policy
Purchased a brand, new *** cell phone through FreeUpMobile on 6/6/2018 through the online link:
https://www.myfreeupmobilephones.com

The *** phone would not powere on after approximately 21 days. I tried purchasing a new battery and new battery charger through Amazon but neither worked. Found out this a known defect with certain *** cell phones.

Other problems right away were:
I could not get my new account# nor any access to my account at all for any history (phone usage nor billing)
they had the wrong email address which they blamed me on - not true.
They said when I complained about my defective phone (which is known by ) that they had a 7 day policy from purchase which was never sent to me in any format (no email / no post mail / no phone call nor text about this policy)
I insisted on full refund - they sent me a link to get my return label and I never got it. I disputed the purchase with my credit card *** on ~ 7/13/2018
On ~ 9/12/2017 , they fictitiously made up a fake letter to my credit card saying they reached out to me about the return process - I never got it.

Email correspondence with company has been submitted with this complaint showing the issues above.

This company only does transactions through *** (According to *** card) who also could not get a hold of them. I refuse to pay and want the credit back on my credit card ($208.99)

Desired Outcome

Full refund of a known defective LG cell phone that did not become defect until ~ 21st+ day after purchase = the phone will not power on

I have reviewed the information for this customer and have found that we authorized the customer to return the phone for a refund. The customer was provided with a pre-paid label on 7-16-18 which has not been used. The customer would need to return the phone to us so we can process a refund.

Customer Response • Sep 20, 2018

I never received a prepaid shipping label from the company despite them knowing my email address and living/shipping address. Please have the company send me a prepaid shipping label (free shipping) to either:
1) my email: ***
or 2) mail to:
***
***

I will gladly return the phone to them with free shipping to get a full refund.

As stated in my original complaint, one of the many problems was this company was they never corrected my contact information (email address) when I contacted them through phone and email within days of June 5th, 2018. This company never corrected the email until approximately 1 week ago (~9/20/2018).
I have sent my defective cell phone package (phone; plugin charger and usb cord) with the prepaid shipping label today (9/26/2108) thank you. I will only accept their resolution when I get a full refund.

Quality One Wireless Response • Oct 08, 2018

Once the charge-back is closed the Payment with be sent to the customer. *** will freeze the payments on the order until the dispute has been closed. I have notified out Accounting department to process the payment.

Never received item
Phone was supposed to be shipped no later than 3 days after purchase. At day 4 I called and got no reply, day 5 called and no reply. I believe they are running a scam with ***.

Desired Outcome

Either delivery or refund.

Quality One Wireless Response • Aug 27, 2018

The customers phone is scheduled to arrive today via***. I have submitted a request to *** to provide a credit for the shipping and handling.

Phone was delivered.

I purchased a phone with smartpay. It is only 6 months old and is no longer working properly. I am unable to get it repaired through all parties
I purchased a samsung galaxy s8 at *** using the smartpay lease agreement and straighttalk plan. shortly after getting it I noticed that the "c" wouldn't respond to my touch. the company informed me to use the enlarge font option or I could at my expense send them the phone to troubleshoot in which they would have for up to a month or more and I would continue to pay for the phone and service but they wouldnt give me a loaner. I declined as a parent of 7 I was unable to be without a phone for a month. I am also a foster parent in the state of kansas. now in August, my phone does not respond properly and was verified by samsung customer service that it needs replaced or repaired. samsung said that although it is within the 1year warranty they are unable to help because it is technically owned by tracfone who owns straight talk and leases phones with smartpay through ***. I called smartpay, they said to call *** extended covereage. I did. they said they can't help until the manufacturer warranty runs out. so I call smart pay back. they give me the number to Quality One Customer Service. At this point I am still unable to get a return call or answer from Quality one customer service. I call smartpay back, tey send me to *** again. they tell me to call straight talk, they tell me to call smartpay, they tell me to call Quality One. I am stuck in a vicious circle where no one is willing to fix or replace the expensive phone that I am still paying a lease on that doesn't even work properly. Monthly payment is $137.50 for 15 months. Purchase date is March 18, 2017. I used my debit card and that is how they debit my checking acct each month for the payment. the IMEI number on the phone is *** the model number is sm-g95du

Desired Outcome

I would either like the phone fixed in a timely fashion free of charge as it is under the manufacturers warranty or I want the lease agreement terminated with a full refund upon me returning the phone.

Quality One Wireless Response • Aug 24, 2018

I have reviewed our records and we do not have records of this customer or the IMEI. The customer will need to contact Smartpay or Walmart for warranty information. The phone that was purchased was not purchased from our company.

This was my first Smartphone, ordering was easy, received item fast, and when I had a question concerning a problem, they walked me right though it. Great!
