I am rejecting this response because: it didn't offer any reason why I was never provided documentation verifying this charge. I don't want to try calling again because they were quite rude on the phone. If there is an alternative means of communication, I would like to resolve this. I don't need a fax anymore. I just want to have this done. The apartment complex that sent this supposed bill to collections was full of black mold and I lost most of my stuff because of it, with no compensation. I just want this to be over.

Upon receipt of this complaint, our office has reviewed the account. Please accept this as I.Q. Data International’s response to the complaint.
 
There are several issues Ms. [redacted] complaint addresses:
1.      Did not receive an official bill or communication regarding the account
a.       Consumer states she left contact information and forwarding address.
2.   Had purchased a security deposit that was not applied to her account. 
3.   Never received a return call or response to written letters to IQ Data International. 
4.   Disputes charges on move-out statement. 
 
In response to the first issue; I am not an employee at the Crossings at Bramblewood Apts., and cannot attest to correspondence or conversations prior to the account being referred to our office for collection.  It is standard operating procedure for our clients to send the consumer a statement of deposit to their last known address or forwarding address within 14 days of a consumer vacating their unit, our Client has no record you provided a forwarding address.
Our office reached out to our client, The Crossings at Bramblewood Apts., to review the accuracy of the charges submitted for collection.  In response, our Client provided us additional documents validating the account and acknowledged Ms. [redacted] did have a security deposit, that was not originally applied, and has adjusted the balance from $1072.68 to $672.68. There were charges for
cabinet repair for $680.00, final utilities of $56.44 that were assessed
from 9/12 thru 10/24/15, $25.00 for keys not returned, and $1234.86
for a lease break fee and concession payback as stated in the lease.   
Lastly, Ms. [redacted] states she never received a return phone call or response to dispute letters from our Agency.  Our records do not show any communication from Ms. [redacted] outside of her conversation with our Collection Specialists nor do we have letters of dispute from Ms. [redacted].  Our Agency follows dispute investigation and response within the confines of the FDCPA, and FCRA.  Each dispute is thoroughly reviewed and addressed with our client to ensure the account and the issues are addressed.  It is possible Ms. [redacted] left messages for our representative to call her but may not have left enough information for a return call. 
 
I understand Ms. [redacted] frustrations regarding her account and appreciate her patience in resolving the issues brought forth.  Our Client has provided the invoice for the cabinet repair and a revised move out statement, attached for your review.  At this time, we consider this debt to be validated and the balance is due in full.  If Ms. [redacted] has any documents to refute the charges, I encourage her to send them to our office, we would be happy to reinvestigate the charges.  Additionally, if Ms. [redacted] has any questions or would like to discuss her account in further detail I encourage her to call our office directly.
