The person that I spoke with told me that in the contract it states that they can increase the dues after a month period I paid the increased rate so that I could continue to workout at the facilities There is a clause in the contract which states that after months they can increase the yearly dues However this is not how it was verbally presented to me when the contract was sold to me nor did they give me a copy of the contract at signing From talking with other members I am not the only person this happened to Hour Fitness is apparently standing behind their employees and their unethical sales practices I reiterate that this contract was sold as a contract in which I paid for years up front & after the years my membership dues would never increase and that it was a lifetime membership.Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below On July 8, in my original letter I stated as the main concern of my problem with Hour Fitness is that in order to gain access to the facilities I would have to upgrade my membership and pay an additional fee of $per month on top of the $I am currently paying I received a phone call from a hour fitness representative who stated that I would have to pay an additional $per month The problem is I already know this This is the main reason I submitted the complaint From my research I've found that around the year Hour Fitness has sold lifetime memberships for their "ALL CLUB SPORT PLUS" and afterwards developed a higher tier membership program called "ALL CLUB SUPER SPORT" and then started building Super Sport facilities and remodeling the Sport Plus facilities turning them into Super Sport facilities causing current sport plus lifetime members to either pay a higher rate or totally loose their investment The phone call I received from the representative did not help the situation at all, but merely repeated what I have already said I have also discovered that there was a previous lawsuit that was won against Hour Fitness in the state of [redacted] regarding this deceptive business practice and that they supposedly mailed post cards to all SPORT PLUS members offering an automatic upgrade, but I never received this and don't believe this was ever done Attached are pdfs of the original complaint and the final order of the court against Hour Fitness for you review Regards, [redacted] ***
