to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The 24 Hour representative who called me today informed me that their records indicate that in 2010 my account was closed for non-payment.  Further, they've  indicated,  after 60 days I called to reinstate my account paying $90.00 up front, then $10.00 per month thereafter.  It is my position that my account was never late or closed.  I had direct deduction from my checking account every month for many years. Never did I change my account or have insufficient funds to cover the $10.00 monthly fee.  The statement given by 24 Hour fitness is completely false.  May it be noted,  when I originally called to question why I was given a rate increase despite a contract stating that my $10.00 rate would never change,  I was given a completely different response.  At that time I was told that when I changed from a monthly payment to an annual payment that this was considered a new contract.  Please be advised that the reason I changed from monthly to annual was at 24 Hour request.  They called me and told me that I would be given 3 months free if I made this payment change.  They assure me that there would be no other changes if I agreed to this change.  I have heard from many 24 Hour Fitness members that they too have suddenly had billing increases despite contracts which indicate a non-changing monthly rate.  The website Yelp has hundreds of entries from members complaining of the same thing.  24 Hour Fitness is committing fraud and should not be allowed to get away with it.  They surly do not deserve an "A" rating from the Revdex.com.

It has not corrected the fact that the corporation will not honor the original salesperson's word. The reason why I purchased the contract was because the sales person was adamant that my yearly rates were locked in and would never go up. I was lied by sales. I should have taken it upon myself and read over the contract line by line because that is the way I was duped by not reading it. By the way, I'm pretty sure by now you have a large number of individuals with the exact same issues as me.

I'd like to let 24 hour fitness know that while yes, they did resolve my personal issue - a customer should not have to go leaps and mounds to get the service they need -- 24 hour is in business because of people like me. I did get what I wanted, but the people "helping" me were very passive aggressive and I pretty much had to scream and shout, go to social media, go to the Revdex.com to get any type of help -- it should not be that way. Had the right information been communicated to me as soon as I called on the very first day, I probably would not have escalated the issue at all. My problem was after weeks of being transferred to all the wrong people, I finally came in contact with someone who was capable of helping me, but after all this effort, they basically told me that I was wrong and they can't do anything for me.
After putting me through all those weeks of work DURING MY WORK HOURS, they could have said "I'm sorry, this information should have been communicated to you up front" and maybe done SOMETHING to make me feel like I've been heard. Instead they pretty much told me they couldn't do anything and after fighting with them publicly on social media is when I was told that the length of my membership has been adjusted. A company shouldn't make their customer go through such hurdles to do what's right by the customer (who is paying them to stay in business).

24 Hour Fitness has done absolutely nothing to resolve my complaint.  All they've done is call me and tell me they're sorry.  They wouldn't even send me a 24 Hour Fitness towel to resolve this which really shows how little they care.
