I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that the message is inaccurate.  I did not receive any phone calls from the corporate office. However, the local gym manager spoke to my wife after she returned his call on my behalf. The account was cancelled. Although we didn't get the $80 in membership fees back from the two months prior. I will consider this complaint resolved. Thank you very much for your assistance in this matter.

Pursuant to your membership agreement with 24 Hour Fitness, your membership is eligible for an annual renewal increase after the first 12- month renewal term immediately following the initial prepaid term. Please note that this increase was not a decision which we took lightly. However, it was an important and necessary step to ensure we provide all of our members with a clean, friendly, well-maintained club experience. 
We are unable to comply with your request to reduce your annual renewal. However, we do believe that even with the increase, you are still getting a great value at a highly competitive rate.
We thank you for being a member and wish you continued success with your future fitness goals.

complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The company refunded a portion of the money I paid; two direct account deposits were made 39.99 on 3/17/2016 and 282.97 on 3/18/2016 for a total of 322.96. I was told the money was refunded because 24hour fitness can't take a full payment of a membership and I would be required to pay monthly going forward.  This is unacceptable because I paid 426.89 on 1/19/2016 with a supervisor if their employees are unfamiliar with 24 hour's policies and rules they had two months to contact me or they could have said this at the time of my payment.
My other issue is I didn't agree to their terms I told the woman who called me on 3/18/2016 I was busy and could she call me back on Monday. I also told her I was not happy they deposited money in my account without my authorization, and they are still not giving receipts of these transactions via e-mail or their website.  I don’t think they are going about this situation legally and that is another concern I have. I want them to refund me the complete amount of 568.16 I paid and void my membership because of their continued errors, lack of verification of financial transactions, and incompetence as a company.
