Contacted customer this morning about inconsistent delivery and customer's information was sent to the West Region Director of Distribution [redacted] to assist with correcting the delivery moving forward. If you have any further requests or questions please contact us at [redacted].

There have been several complaints on the account throughout the month of October. The last complaint registered was on 10/22/15. This information has been forwarded to the appropriate distributor and regional manager. The documentation also shows a credit of 14 days due to the poor service in...

Mr. [redacted] has been an ongoing Bee subscriber for several years. Our process has been the same as far as the renewal of subscriptions. All our renewal notices state, "the paper will continue unless The Bee is notified otherwise." Since all renewal notices and payments go to Fresno, we ask that customers call us to cancel the paper. A written notice on the renewal bill goes to Fresno first and then is re-routed to The Sacramento Bee.  The Bee does not stop subscriptions on the expiration date, which is why we send one renewal bill prior to the expiration date and two more after the expiration date. We allow a grace period for all subscribers to renew their subscriptions.Mr. [redacted]'s account was stopped on 11/17/14 by a retention vendor. However, there was no indication of adjusting the balance off the account. As of 2/3/15, the account is at a zero balance. All collection efforts have been stopped and there is no reflection of delinquency on Mr. [redacted]'s credit. The collection vendor, A.R.M, is a 3rd party vendor we use to send out final bills. Customer contacted our customer service on 01/25 about her Sunday 01/24 paper in which they provided a credit for the missed delivery and they also sent a message to the carrier requesting for 01/24 paper to be delivered that same morning. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I only agree to this resolution if I receive my paper on a daily basis without fail.  I will file another complaint if at any time I do not receive my paper in a timely fashion.  I was given a direct contact number to make sure my paper is received which I was never given prior to this time.  Only a 1-800 # was available to call.  I have the right to continue to file complaints with Revdex.com if The Sacramento Bee does not follow through with continued customer service of making sure paper is delivered on a daily basis and customer service is improved.

We have attempted to contact customer and we have a left message for [redacted] as per her request. We have also sent her delivery information to the local distributor and our Regional Manager of home delivery [redacted] of her delivery escalations to assist with correcting the issues....

Nothing were done to solve my issue and I still don't have my paper.  It's over 2 months and I have spent the money for it.Call me if you have any questions [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: After many promises to correct the problem without improvement, they'll have to prove it by their actions, by delivering a paper daily on my porch on-time. I don't agree that I was compensated for my missed deliveries. I had all of my records, but they weren't able to provide me with any data that I received credit.

I am rejecting this response because: Sac Bee is showing unequal response. Others in the same situation had their accounts cleared of fees. I paid under duress with the threat of collections hung over our head. At no point did the representative inform us that the collection agency was not a credit reporting company. Further there was no clear evidence that there was any kind of reporting sent us that suggested that we would need to renew or cancel our contract our contract was for 52 weeks they sent us a grace period that we did not ask for and that they call it a grace period is offensive since then they charge you for it. At the very least this is a predatory practice and without relief I will be seeking further action

Our records do not show a start request or a credit card payment anytime in April or May 2015. If the order was placed online, the subscription would not have been started due to the previous problem with the balance on the account that was just recently cleared on 5/20/15. In this case, an email should have been sent to Ms. [redacted] stating the account could not be started at this time. The Bee would not start an account or charge a credit card that was not authorized. As stated in the response from Ms. [redacted], her credit card was not charged. The only way the account would be started is if Ms. [redacted] calls The Bee or subscribes online. As for the call on 6/1/15, this will be forwarded to the Sales Manager for follow up. The phone number was placed on our do not call list on 5/27/15. Since the salespeople are vendors for The Bee, they do receive calling files a week in advance. Ms. [redacted]'s number could have been on a calling file that was already generated before the do not call was requested and processed.
